Giuliani vs. Clinton

ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: Two top contenders for the 2008 political race could face each other in a Senate showdown over the aftermath of September 11th.

Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, R-N.Y., both vying for the presidential seat, may have to go head to head if Giuliani is subpoenaed to testify in front of the committee investigating the aftermath of 9-11, on which Clinton serves.

ABC News affiliate WABC’s Dave Evans reports that when asked yesterday, Clinton "wouldn’t say whether she’ll call Giuliani to testify."

The committee is examining the issue of how to help workers exposed to 9-11 dust and why they weren’t given protection.

Senator Clinton said yesterday, "we are just trying to put together the most effective list of witnesses to get to the bottom of who did what and what the reasons were and the decisions they made and what we can learn from them."

When asked by reporters how Giuliani would respond if asked to testify, his response: "I’d be happy to explain it to anybody who has a fair mind about it and is approaching it form a non — political point of view because this is too important to be political."

Karen,
You should be ashamed of yourself. This is an immoral man who had 3 wives. You’re a woman and you want to vote for this selfish man whose only purpose is to advance his career in order to sustain his rockstar lifestyle. Even Republicans are ashamed to vote for this jerk. And look what he did to the fire fighters. His job in NYC only showed his desire to give out an image of phony concern for his city.
