Senators Want Gonzales, Rove to Explain Themselves on the Hill

ABC News’ Lindsay Hamilton reports: Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has a tough week ahead. More emails regarding the U.S. attorneys firing controversy will be released on Monday and Gonzales is expected to face questions from lawmakers on Thursday. Karl Rove could also receive a subpoena. Across the Sunday talk shows, senators from both sides looked forward to the coming interrogation.

"I’ve told the attorney general that I think this has been mishandled,"Senator John Cornyn, R-Tex., told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. "By giving inaccurate information, by not… giving complete information to Senator Leahy, to the Judiciary Committee on which I serve, at the outset, it’s caused a real firestorm. And he better get the facts out fast."

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Senator Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., expressed frustration at the changing story.

"I want testimony under oath.  I am sick and tired of getting half-truths on this," he told Stephanopoulos, adding that he plans to subpoena White House adviser Rove and White House counsel Harriet Miers.

Speaking with CBS’s Bob Schieffer, Senator Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., added, "There will be a subpoena issued for Karl Rove, perhaps among others.  Mr. Rove is speaking publicly about it.  I think he should come up to the committee and speak under oath about it."

Hey Pat, welcome to the “Sick and Tired Of It” club.
We’ve been here awhile, watching the Gang of Three(Bush, Cheney, Rove) run roughshod over our country, our freedoms, and our future.
And watching you Little Rascals (Nan, Hil, Joe, “Buckwheat”, Harry, et. al) do nothing for about 6-plus years.
We’ve BEEN sick and tired, Pat.
Sucks, don’t it.

Should be interesting I highly doubt Karl Rove even knows how to tell the truth. This man has made his life lying to get George Bush elected now all of a sudden he is going to find himself UNDER OATH and he is not going to know what to do.
