.ABC’s Jonathan Karl Reports: In a statement released by his Senate office, Republican John Warner took issue with Peter Pace’s statements on homosexuality.
"I respectfully, but strongly disagree with the chairman’s view that homosexual is immoral," Warner said.
The statement goes on to say that Warner will defer stating his opinion on the "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" policy until after the Senate Armed Services Committee holds hearings on the issue. That’s an interesting statement because, as of now, the Senate Armed Services Committee has no hearings scheduled on the issue.
Warner is a member and former chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He is also the former Secretary of the Navy.
