Giuliani Rakes in Over $15M

ABC News’ Jan Simmonds Reports: Rudy Giuliani announced Monday that he has raised over $15 million in the first quarter, with over $10 million coming in the month of March alone.

"Considering our late start, we are very pleased by the pace raised in March and see it as a positive indication of what’s to come," Giuliani campaign manager Mike DuHaime said in a statement released to the press.

While these numbers are strong for Giuliani — who is the national front runner for the GOP presidential nomination — they still lag behind the eye-popping figure raised by Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., who reported a first quarter haul of $23 million.

The full picture of the Republican "money primary" will not come into view until McCain releases his campaign’s fundraising figures which had not been released as of this writing.
