Chairman Conyers: ‘Write Congress to Right Justice’

ABC News’ Ariane de Vogue Reports:  The Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have added a new high-tech feature on the committee’s website.

With one click, current and former Department of Justice employees are encouraged to confidentially submit information on the "the possible politicization of the United States Department of Justice."

Committee chairman, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., said in a statement that the web site had been created in response to “numerous requests” by current and former DOJ attorneys who Conyers says have expressed concern that the department has been "unduly politicized in pursuing its important law enforcement functions."

But Conyers also offers a word of caution:  "In order to prevent such unfortunate retaliatory actions, we recommend that [Justice] Departmental e-mail not be used for this purpose. We recommend that current or former employees use personal e-mail," the site says.

Republicans on the committee are asking for the website to be taken down immediately, noting that any submitted information would not be shared with the minority.
