Hillaryis44

What’s this mysterious website? "Hillaryis44.com"….a strange eruption of pro-Clinton and anti-anyone-who-isn’t-Hillary propaganda.

"We are not affiliated with the Hillary For President Exploratory Committee, or any official Hillary Clinton organization in any way," says "Hillaryis44.com," the creators of which are anonymous and elusive.

Conservative commentator Peggy Noonan says the website "reads like The Warrior’s Id … In tone the site is very Tokyo Rose. Encouraging readers to send in ‘confidential tips,’ its primary target and obvious obsession is Barack Obama."

Various passages say: "Senator Barack Obama (D-Rezko) is busy lately lying about President Bill Clinton" and "attacking entire communities."

And: "the Obama campaign is pursuing a unique strategy: Let the public know Obama is a lurchlike lunkhead."

Not that the website ignores former Sen. Johnny Reid Edwards, D-NC! "The Edwards campaign is simply a mess," it says. "We will examine his mess of a campaign in a later post which will probably have to include a table of contents to catalog all the mistakes this mess of a campaign has made."

Asked if it had anything to do with the website, a spokesman for the Clinton campaign says: "No."

Sneaky, conniving, devious, typical politician, always maintain your deniability—wouldn’t it be really interesting if it turned out not to be a Hillary-associated group doing this but some confusion-creating GOPers?!

why is this newsworthy?

The GOP convinced me Clinton IS the GOP candidate. They’ve talked her up so much for the past 4 years. It very well could be a GOP group. Doesn’t matter if it’s democrats either. These days a politicians a politician.

Expect to see more of this kind of highly political website as the campaigning shifts into even higher gear. The site reminds me of the kinds of campaign fliers we see in Chicago near election day: fliers which call into question other candidates’ loyalties, beliefs, and promises, and even question their parentage.

When are you going to compile your most recent political cartoons/caricatures and publish them in book form with appropriate comments (gentle, of course) added?

BTF – sophillyfatz : You two must be Clinton supporters, The Republican Conspiracy Theory Hillary keeps yelling out, ummm Lets see she the one who paid for an investigation of Obama, she the one who sent the IRS out against her political enemies while Bill was President.
She is behind the website, just like she is behind trying to silence free speech.
Open your eyes please!!!

Peggy Noonan (WSJ) is just trying to impress her new boss Rupert Murdoch by writing even more tabloid-style than usual. Trying to tie Hillary Clinton to the Hillaryis44.com website is just another Republican attempt to get the Democrats to fight among themselves. “Can you quote me yawning?”

Oh my heavens
There can not be oblivious people out there that believe Hilary is not behind this and the pushing of the Republican Conspiracy Theory!!
So when Hil throws mud you are going to blame the Republicans. unreal
Hilary is such an angel, oh GOD help us that can vote people that believe this can vote.
I think Obama’s 1984 clip was so accurate it seems Hilary has full control of her followers. (thou the 1984 covers all the libs running)
Hey I bet you believe there was no moon landing and it was filmed in a Hollywood stage. I got a bridge to seel you want to buy?

The website — which is acerbic and downright hateful at times — does not help Clinton. At best, it could only galvanize her most rabid supporters — and as kooky as those people are, that’s not necessarily a good thing for her campaign.

Does anyone believe her campaign isn’t behind the website? She’s the new Bush, just waiting for the opportunity to pull dirty tricks on Edwards and Obama like her spiritual mate pulled on John McCain in South Carolina. Well, looking like she’ll be able to focus all her tricks on Obama, as Edwards seems to be fading already. By the way, I’m pretty convinced we’ve already seen a couple, and will continue to see more tricks from the Clinton campaign. I’ve read the Muslim school thing was connected to her. “South Asians for Obama,” the group that stabbed him in the back a couple weeks ago, seems like a Clinton front (it only mentions one other candidate besides Obama, that being Clinton, and its entire content consists of a blog that has one primary post, which is critical of Obama. Unlike Bush, however, I don’t think Clinton will win. The wave building for Obama is like nothing I’ve seen – 250,000 contibutors in June? I was at a wedding yesterday, and at the reception dinner I had an opportunity to talk with a life-long independent who told me he and his wife sent a check – their first political contributions ever. Their point was that they are tired of politics as usual, and just see in Obama someone who shares their desire to rise above it. I think its his time, despite the dirty tricks to follow.

Too bad ABC doesn’t do investigative reporting on this subject? Afraid you will find out that the Clintons are involved?

Update: hillaryis44.com (The Patient) is still alert, though delusional. It’s now claiming Edwards quit because he lost Florida. Whatever.
