Clinton on His Impact on Wife’s Campaign

ABC News’ Sunlen Miller Reports: Former President Bill Clinton said Wednesday he worried about interfering in his wife’s campaign, but decided that now is the right time for him to appear publicly with her on the hustings.

"I didn’t want to come out at any point in this campaign if she didn’t have the opportunity to establish her independence," Clinton told a small group of reporters after appearing with his wife in a fourth of July parade in Clear Lake, Iowa.

This week marks the first time the former president had appeared publicly at campaign events with his wife, democratic presidential contender Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., though he has been privately fundraising for her for months.

A reporter asked Clinton if he might overshadow his wife during campaign events, to which he replied, " not overshadowing … 95 percent of people, positive or negative, or 100 percent, know me," he said, "and whether …it’s positive or negative, it will interfere with her ability … for them to know her."

However, Clinton said, "now is a really good time to come. We picked a good time."

GO Hillary!!!
Hillary can stand on her own feet, with or without Bill. She is capable and strong enough to lead this country where it needs to go.

Bill should stay out of it. He had his chance! Let her run on her own strength and let’s see what happens.

Bill I am sure casts some very long shadows– good and bad. But in this race for the White House– Bill is clearly an advantage for Hillary.
He is already a known political factor, knowledgeable on the political landscape and can only guide Hillary away from the ‘potholes” so as to speak.
At this time he is clearly Her Man Of the Hour.

Bill’s interjection at this point clearly shows how vulnerable she is on her own. Jusitfiably so. SHe has so many skeletins that have come out of her closet and her negatives are so high( the last Gallup poll)showed that 52% of likely VOTERS of all stripes said thatTHey wouldn’t vote for her unDer ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Enough said. She would more polarizing at the beginning of , God forbid admin, than George is now. Get her out of the way and send her out pasture. As a NewYorker I am ashamed she is my carpet bagger senator

I do not support H.Clinton for the presidency. I feel too many of her attempts to accomplish something have ended up with FAILURE! Her great attempt at Healthcare reform! All the shady deals with her Arkansas Legal firm,ie Whitewater, and she even FAILED to pass Her Bar exams. Introduced to Americans as the smartest women in the world She really was a dismal example!
