Kos v O’Reilly

I’ve been watching this fight out of the corner of my eye, from up here in the cramped ABC News Senate booth on Capitol Hill.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly has all but declared war against the DailyKos website, writing (LINK) about a "vicious far-left web site called the DailyKos, one of the worst examples of hatred America has to offer."

O’Reilly also said of some of the postings on DailyKos: "this is hate of the worst order. It’s like the Ku Klux Klan. It’s like the Nazi party. There’s no difference here. People should die."

Today came news that O’Reilly’s push against airline JetBlue for sponsoring the YearlyKos convention worked — and the company dropped its official sponsorship of Kos’s yearly blogger convention.

YearlyKos will be addressed this year House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and DNC Chairman Howard Dean, as well as Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, former Sen. John Edwards, D-NC, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.

And loads of others.

Writes Kos (LINK): "Anyone who tries to claim this is a ‘hate’ gathering is saying, essentially, that the entire Democratic Party is a ‘hate’ party. And sure, there are plenty of rabid crazies on the other side that would make such a claim, but no reasonable person will think that. And that’s the key — anyone who claims this event is anything but a celebration of the best the Democratic Party has to offer is simply, to put it mildly, blinded by partisan rage and completely out-of-touch with reality."

The Dodd campaign (LINK) and others have used the opportunity to beef up their netroots cred by slamming O’Reilly.

So what do you guys think? Connect to the links above and read up and come back and share your thoughts…

Bill is a nut!!!

Describes that puffed up, ego maniacal bully O’Reilly pretty well I think. Rabid crazy, blinded by partisan rage and completely out-of-touch with reality — certainly sounds like Billy to me.

I agree with Bill O’Reily, the KosKids are just an insane group of Moonbat Haters.
Democrat Joe Klein wrote an article in Time about just how full of pointless rage the Left has become: “Beware the Bloggers’ Bile” http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1630004,00.html
I suppose Hatred works in some circles, and today, it’s fueling the Democrat Party.

Bill is one of the worst hate-mongers out there. He just doesn’t like seeing someone who is as good at it as he is. “No spin zone”, indeed. He spins so fast and to the right it makes me sick to my stomach.

Posted by: DaveM | July 20, 2007, 6:10 pm 6:10 pm

too bad jetblue caved in. Bill Oreilly spins everything during the ” no spin zone” and i think he is one of the most hypocritical, right-wing lunatics on television today.

O’Reilly is right on the money calling this web site trash. It’s time the Democrats disown the far-left propaganda machine or they’ll never win an election.

Why people still give press time to O’Reilly or to any other such drivel is part of the ploy to keep us talking about stuff that really doesn’t matter at all. I refuse to believe racism is an issue for me or my neighbor. Economics is the real issue being drowned out by such hypeogandists.

Posted by: Eric | July 20, 2007, 6:25 pm 6:25 pm

Like O’Reilly or not, if he chooses to target you or your company, things happen. Some of the unsupported crap that flies around from that element of the left needs to be pointed out and challenged. Thanks Bill!

Posted by: TG | July 20, 2007, 6:27 pm 6:27 pm

The only reason I would ever fly JetBlue in the future is if Bill O’Reilly were NOT flying them. I just
stopped my patronage of this airline for the cowardice.

Posted by: Leprkin | July 20, 2007, 6:32 pm 6:32 pm

O’ Reilly is the hate-monger. Casting stones in a mirror it what he it doing. Let’s go back to the pay-off he made for sexually harassing one of his female employees. Isn’t that another form of hate? Abusing co workers or anyone is hate…I’m sure there is more. Perhaps he feels threatened because the majority of Americans are smarter than him… He has to sensationalize to get ANY ratings or his sponsors will pull. I say everyone boycott his sponsors….

Jake, the problem is this story is a yawner. No one, except right wingers, cares what Bill O’”Lie”ly has to say. I imagine DailyKos is jumping up and down with joy because when O’”Lie”ly pulled the same stuff with Al Franken and his book, Franken’s sales went sky high. Bill is a hack that had his more than 15 minutes in the sun. Of course, he’s on the Faux channel and he’s probably waiting for ole Rupert Murdoch to make him managing editor of the Wall Street Journal when News Corp takes it over.
What a sad world this is why no talent hacks like Bill O’”Lie”ly catches the eye of the mainstream media….

I get a weekly newsletter from Bill O’Reilly and I read Kos occasionally, and I can tell you that O’Reilly is, and I repeat is, one of the worst in spreading hate. Besides, he likes to sucker punch his guests and edit what they say to make them look bad. How much lower can you go?

Posted by: unshrub | July 20, 2007, 6:51 pm 6:51 pm

BOR(Bill O’Reilly)is a hate monger. Pay him no attention. Turn him off. Do not listen. He personifies this administrations ignorance of the truth. Delete anything and everything that this man puts his name to.

Posted by: John Kantor | July 20, 2007, 6:53 pm 6:53 pm

Bill O’Reilly is an advocate for the common man and especially abused children. He never stated that the entire dem party was hateful, only that kos continually allows hate speech to be posted, so that site should not be sanctioned in any way.

Posted by: TerryHunt7USMC | July 20, 2007, 6:54 pm 6:54 pm

this is just another ‘he said – she said’ article, with no original reporting. No facts, no research to maybe check out Bill O’s accusations. Bill O mis-quotes, and mis-represents posts on DKos – from individuals. Dkos is a community, not a hate site. in all communities you have people who say outrageous and blunt things, that are not representative of the whole. So sure people may have strong feelings and opinions. But he’s merely using that as a reason to attack a site that he sees as a threat, and to trump up another lefty-boogie man to drive up his dismal ratings. Get a life Bill. While you’re busy attacking free-speech, your president (and VP) is slowly (and sometimes not-so slowly) dismantaling the constitution.

Bill O’Reilly is to legitimate political commentary as castrati are to the art of singing. They both are pretty historical fossils, whose function it is/was to please the regal court. They have rendered themselves nothing more than high-pitched adolescents, who for the occasional dotage they receive from King (Dick) and Princes (Georgie,Karl and Scooter) have surrendeed their most efficacious and life-giving organs.

Posted by: MDF | July 20, 2007, 6:54 pm 6:54 pm

o reilly is the absolute pinnicale of murdock’s effort to render the american news media as untrustworthy. very successful effort thus far. find a crop of borderline psychotics pay them enough to kiss your tail and turn them loose.
make book deals with supreme court justices and the trent lott crowd. bingo whoever you can’t buy (clintons, bushes) send the psychos after them, get them fired, spread the necessary lies, manipulate the election……….

I am right-leaning libertarian who thinks that Billy O’ is out of touch on a number of important issues. For example, have you ever noticed every time the issue of drugs or the so called “War on Drugs” comes up on his show, Billy O’ characterizes it all as “NARCOTICS” with a puritantical rage that is unequaled. What a maroon.
Additionally, I don’t like boycotts of products or companies whether they are sponsored by Billy O’ or those nut jobs Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson.
BTW, I’m still waiting for Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson’s apology to the Duke Lacrosse players.

So, Bill O’Reilly thinks the DailyKos is hateful … yet, he took a stand that people should use “Merry Christmas” rather than the inclusive, “Happy Holidays” … and even went after companies who wouldn’t follow suit … he is not credible.

How can anyone watch such stupidity everyday. I did not see any enlightened discussion. It’s all egotistical rantings and ignorant discussion about the things he dislikes. Well if his like are a majority in this country then forget democracy and wellcome conservative dictatorship. Are all FOX news guys and gals this stupid? And people who watch must be really unintelligent people that do not want to think much but vent their frustration by agreeing to his stupidity.

The American public is fully aware of how far this arguement have gone. This have nothing to do with the left or right. It have everything have to do with freedom of the pubic and what is moral and ethical. And on this issue, Bill is an clown.

O’Reilly is news worthy only if the real media let him. He has always been just another mindless moron from right field. What’s remains of the right-wing ideology is the rage, the utter incompetence, the burned out shell of their moraless minority. How utterly pathetic.

Bill O’Reilly is talking about the idiots at the DailyKos who say things like Tony Snow should die of cancer and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This story doesn’t mention that and all you people who think Bill’s just a hate-mongerer have no clue what you’re talking about. The real haters are at the DailyKos. No spin here. There’s hate everywhere.

Posted by: Brad | July 20, 2007, 8:06 pm 8:06 pm

JetBlue did not pull their ads from Kos.
Did BO really say, “people should die?”
And by what means? An indirect incitement to murder, plain and clear.
The politics of the Black Shirts, a gradually accelerating incitement to mob violence. No on Kos is advocating violence…
Anything to keep the rating up. Do they ever stop to consider the real consequences of this kind of propaganda?

Posted by: W. R. Johnson | July 20, 2007, 8:08 pm 8:08 pm

Oh dear; I guess my previous comment was too incendiary for moderator tastes, getting deleted and all.
Anyway, take two…point is, Bill O’Reilly and his well paid mouth are extremely dangerous and if there’s a lot of “hate” coming from DailyKos, he’s as guilty of it as they are and for far less honorable reasons.

A fluke, but one for a good laugh. When I clicked to see the story of the death of the oldest chimp, I got a superimposed image of Bill O and the senile x-chimp,
Ha! I have a friend who (tongue in cheek… but only a little bulge), that humans have inherited an uneven mix of Bonobo and Chimp DNA. Clearly, like the image of the Virgin Mary on a potato chip, or Satan in the smoke from the WTC towers–here’s proof positive that O’Reilly is all chimp and no Bonobo… so sad. He’ll never know the REAL pleasures that life affords…
Signed, one who has lived his Bonobo heritage to the full

Socialized medicine will be great, I cant wait to pay the 50% in taxes the way the Swedes do, then I wont even have to work. I can get un-employment and work on my novel. As soon as a Dem gets in lets abolish all stupid religions I hate them so much. That Bill O’Reilly is a hunk of a mna though dont you think?

Posted by: LeftWingNut | July 20, 2007, 8:42 pm 8:42 pm

As someone who was banned from DailyKos–basically for calling out their double standards with respect to some posters–something which kos later admitted was the case–I’m no friend of the site, but it’s no lefty site. It’s a very centrist Democratic party focused site for the most part. It is predominantly anti-Iraq war in sentiment, but so are the majority of citizens in this country.
Hey–anyone can read the site to see if bo’s claims hold up.
It is interesting that he didn’t mention that a good number of people on the site thoroughly ragged on Cindy Sheehan when she announced her intention to run against Pelosi if she didn’t put impeachment back on the table. Why, those folks were O’Reilly like in their condemnation of her.

Bill O’Reilly is an O’Nitwit. Plain and simple. He’s neither bright nor articulate enough to call himself a Republican. I can’t believe he’s on television, let alone thriving. Then again… it is FoxNews that allows his brand of idiocy to flourish, so… consider the source.

I have watched O’Reilly’s show once. It was really a disgusting show. Full of spins, accusations and hatred. It represents the worst of what’s happening in this country. Unfortunately, a lot of politicians in today’s Washington share that same style as his, that’s one reason why this country is in such as terrible shape politically.

Posted by: Padme | July 20, 2007, 9:14 pm 9:14 pm

After reading through the DailyKos, it seems to possess about the same amount of liberal bias as compared to the conservative bias in The Washington Times newspaper. O’Reilly should be more selective about who he demonizes. Many of the objects of his scorn have richly deserved the attention. But lately it seems like he’s going off the deep end and getting more personal. Maybe that’s what it takes to nowadays compete with stories about missing and/or deceased white women. Not that there’s any lack of real news for the mainstream media to report, if they chose to do so.

Posted by: George | July 20, 2007, 9:16 pm 9:16 pm

You know Jake, instead of asking our opinions, why don’t you just go to the DailyKOS and read the disgusting posts yourself?
You are a reporter, right? Don’t reporters INVESTIGATE the subjects which interest them?
I’m sure you will be shocked and revolted at the nature of the vast majority of the posts made by these “mainstream” Democrats.
Look for yourself!!

Posted by: HicktownPress | July 20, 2007, 10:59 pm 10:59 pm

Good for Bill O’Reilly for taking on the liberal KOS blog. That is a blog that gave Cindy Sheehan a voice to spew forth her irrational ideas and hatred. Ironically, they recently got smart and dumpted her off of their blog. Someone needs to confront the far left and I’m happy O’Reilly is doing so.

Posted by: Lennie | July 20, 2007, 11:05 pm 11:05 pm

I fail to see how Kos is “hateful”. There have been no instances where hate was directed at any group.
Sheesh, when was dissenting opinion abolished in this country?

Posted by: Tig | July 20, 2007, 11:27 pm 11:27 pm

Daily Kos is a community of passionate people. Some passionate people say things in anger that others find distasteful, but on Kos, those very people “call out” the ones making the most egregious statements. On balance, Kos is liberal and Democratic, far, far more rational than O’Reilly and his ilk. To see what O’Reilly’s side is like, take a hike through sites like Redstate or Little Green Footballs. There, no one “calls out” the hate promoters, but instead cheers them on, banning and deleting anything even moderately Democratic.
Any blog that allows posting from the public will have some posts that are unacceptable, if you want to cherry-pick. But this is not like O’Reilly, who allows hatemongers like Ann Coulter to spout their rants without contradiction or fact-checking. On Kos, someone in the community is more than likely to fact-check other posters, which is not the case at most of the Wingnut sites.
Any honest reader of Kos will find that O’Reilly is talking, as usual, out of his ventral orifice.
And anyone who wants to fact-check my post here is welcome to visit the sites I mentioned and compare and contrast the ‘quality’ of posts at each.

This is how the right discredits people they target. Call them names…that’s the only thing that the right can do now.
They no longer have the high road on any topic.
They discredit by namecalling, misquoting or taking items out of context, or just shouting down the opposition.
These are the only tools that O’Reilly and his ilk have left. They cannot win by any other means.

Poor wittle Bill O’Reilly. He’s so nice and kind and ever so balanced. His poor feelings have been hurt? Give me a break. O’Reilly is perhaps the most one-sided, rabid ultra-right wing nutjob on TV. And to top it all off, he makes believe that he’s giving you “No Spin”!!
Only problem is Mr. Nasty can’t take it when it comes back at him — then the other side is playing unfair. What a delusional, mean-spirited, cowardly jerk.

Funny how the right-wingers here talk about “libr’ls” being haters. Have they listened to one word of Ann coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’reilly? Did they not notice the incredible racism in the immigration debates? (and they call us nazis?). The rpeulbican party is built on hate… Without hate, they have nothing. Hatred of gays, hatred of minorities, hatred of other religions, hatred of the poor, hatred of the sick… hatred of “libr’ls”.. it is the tie tha binds.. talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

“Bill O’Reilly is talking about the idiots at the DailyKos who say things like Tony Snow should die of cancer and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”
Really? Actaully, there were literally thousands of comments wishing him well and good health. If there were a few trolls that said otherwise, their comments were troll-rated and subsequently hidden. Perhaps you could provide a link, beyond O’Reilly’s unsubstantiated allegations?

Posted by: Mike | July 21, 2007, 2:10 am 2:10 am

True hate speech first appeared in mainstream American journalism via the right wing. There was simply nothing like it until people like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Bill O’Reilly appeared on the scene. It simply didn’t exist- not in major broadcast outlet journalism.
Bill O’Reilly is the single most radical deliverer of hate who has ever regularly appeared on American network television. Yet he wants to call out a mild, mainstream Democratic site like DailyKos and slander it with exaggeration and outright lies? It’s preposterous.
Who in America still considers this man credible?

Yea, there are left wing looneys like their right wing nut cases. I don’t remember any politician denouncing Swiftboatsfortruth. Or Bill O refusing to have Coulter on his show because of HER hateful statements. You can’t control the extremes in either side of the political spectrum.
But this is Bill-O’s weak argument which is typical of the Right wing smear machine. Go after the extremist no-names insignificant on the left and condemn the legitimacy of whole group. Where the main-stream right wingers are spewing the hate. And if not directly, not criticizing those (swift boaters, colter) who do and giving them a stage.

Posted by: roy | July 21, 2007, 6:53 am 6:53 am

I think we (as a society) are either of the radical right or the radical left. The middle has disappeared. If you label yourself a liberal, you are a communist loving, wealth distributing, union loving,”let the government take care of me”, pacifist, truth dispenser. If you are a conservative, you are a Bible thumping, business focused, limited government, war loving, libertarian, truth dispenser. The fact is that the truth can be spun anyway it wants by those who are good at spreading the propaganda. The example cited in the KOSDaily (San Fran) did dot overtly state to blow up the tower. It stated that the federal money should be pulled from it because it was a special interest cause. Without federal money, protection would not be provided and the chance of a structure being targeted goes up….simple fact.

When they stop writing the news for 6th graders and and delivering it by Barbie Dolls and pompous condescending_______(fill in the blank) the need for DailyKos would not exist.
People who speak aginst the establishment pay a very high price.
Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Huey P. Newton, Angela Davis, Jane Fonda, Bob Dylan, the Smother’s Brothers, the students and Kent State…., and yet our lives have been enriched because of their voices.
We are intelligent enough to sort the wheat from the chaff (maybe Bill isn’t) and make up our own minds.
We have the right to question. We have the right to debate. We have the right to speak out when we feel there is injustice.
It is freedom of the press and freedom of speech that saves us from becomming a dictortatorship! Be damned if we are going to fight for democracy for the Iraqi people and cannot speak freely at home about how that is working out!
Talk about drinking the KoolAid!

O’Reilly, poor guy. It’s usually the case that those who slam others are only projecting their own inadequacies on what they see. To call Kos a hate site is just an expression of the inner hatred that the man harbors. Don’t take him seriously. He’ll fall by the wayside as collective consciousness rises. Creating coherence in national consciousness will get rid of all the hate on both sides, and that’s the only way.

This from a man that continues to have Coulter on.
Word on the street is he knew, when he declared his “War on Christmas” thing, that Best Buy really did not ever instruct their employees not to say “Merry Christmas” – but he ran with it anyway.
That seems kind of hateful to me. Takes one to know one.
I still say the far right is more hateful than what I see out of the left. They raised the bar. Of course you see fools on both sides.

If anyone spews hate it is him and he is just trying to undermine DailyKos before the election season gets into full swing. Ain’t gonna happen, if anything it fires us up. So thanks, idiot jerk.

Posted by: Avvorio | July 21, 2007, 12:16 pm 12:16 pm

The right has Bill O’Reilly, the left has Keith Olbermann. How does any of this name calling and partisan bickering further the debate on whether or not web sites or blogs should censor statements encouraging criminal acts? So you don’t like O’Reilly, now let’s move forward. How about do you condone or support statements that encourage criminal acts and do you think web site managers should allow that type of “speech” to remain on their sites? If statements of criminal acts remain on a web site, should the editors or managers be held responsible? That is the issue that has been raised by Bill O’Reilly whether you like him or not.

Posted by: Brad S | July 21, 2007, 12:26 pm 12:26 pm

I try to read different news and opinion sources the further from reality or my perception of reality the less I interact with the source. Bill has exposed people to Kos who might not have heard of it otherwise. Bill espouses some views I don’t think he believes himself. Mr. Oreilly is somewhat like a fake religion attracting those who are in it just to keep from going to hell. Those who are in it just because they think they will get some of the benefits that are being doled out to the few at the expense of the many. Even though they have a better chance at the lottery.

Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter are two of the most vicious, abrasive, right wing fanatics out there today. I’m not sure why any company would listen to anything either one of them has to say. Well maybe except Fox News. That way Fox would know what to put on its network.

O’Reilly is a nut case and should just be ignored. As for Jet Blue? Boycott them

The Nazi party?? Does Mr. O’Reilly not realize that most Americans are familiar with the Political spectrum, and WE realize that he is the closest thing to a Nazi we’ve ever had “reporting”?? Say the words.. say what you want people to believe, but NEVER say the truth… how American is that???

The comment that makes most sense out of ALL the prior and after rants comes from White Mountain (above)… You get it! MOST of us are missing the big picture by focusing on protecting our petty, pecayunish and puny positions (that’s a lot of “P”). We have not only drank the Kool-Aid… we bought it and mixed it too! My castle for a person with an original thought! How about let’s start with going back to consider what our founding fathers’ intended for our country?! We’ve come a long way, Baby, and we’re a LONG way from home…

Those “hate from the left” comments are somewhat ironic when you consider the Republican Party has been running a campaign of fear and hatred since Nixon left D.C. The right has nothing left but their hatred for the American way of life, a very well-defined liberal society, if one were to read the Constitution for themselves.

Bill O’Reilly is an ignorant fool. He proves that every night that he is on. He punctuated that point when he made the mistake of agreeing to go on Steven Colbert’s show. If you have the chance, go watch the clip on YouTube. While being completely nice and respectful, Colbert gently destroyed O’Reilly. Even O’Reilly realized it, lamenting later that one of his biggest mistakes was going on that show. He has no brains and no credibility, other than realizing that others saw the true man.

just reading your comments on both sides is proof that none of you look at any thing based on the truth and facts. This is because you only spout what the media and the party hacks deliver. When was the las time you got off your butts and studied an issue and it’s history before opening your mouth and inserting your foot.

To all the intelligent and good people out there, don’t let O’Reilly and sheeple like him draw you in to their trap. They are allowed to do what they do to try and split good americans apart, because in unity there is power and right now they are afraid they are losing their so called power. The internet has allowed people to learn other opinions and facts other than what they spoon feed you. The tyrants are afraid the public will rear the ugly head of the giant and demand justice and freedom from tyranny. So lets stick together for our own good.

Oreilly for president 08 vote?

Posted by: true | July 21, 2007, 6:29 pm 6:29 pm

Sorry charley this guy get it right. Democracy requires defending not sitting back and getting a head full of cocaine. The hatred of the dailykos by saying it is al right for Iran to destroy Israel was the same idea that lead Hilter to kill theJews since nobody cared. Where do they dtand on Danfur and what are they doing about it. The same with Hillary girl or Pelosi; coming here to get some far far leftist votes shows me these people are not to be voted into office. Let all these type of hatred far left or right vanish

Bill O’Reilly is always at ‘war” with someone. He is an entertainer – well, almost one. I’m not sure who he represents in this country, but I’m assuming it must be that tiny minority of vocal hypocrites called “neo-conservatives” who long ago sacrificed their critical thinking skills for that feel-good warmth of open hatred.
Since JetBlue broadcasts Faux News on its airline, one could argue they were making a political statement by promoting the Republican party’s broadcast network and imposing it on their paying customers. Of course, this didn’t show up in this story, which is no surprise for ABC News. Of course, ABC wasn’t going to look back at the many hate statements and “news” accounts promoted by O’Reilly.
I suspect this action will cost JetBlue a lot of revenue.

It’s pretty obvious the kos people have gang-tackled this blog.
In my opinion O’Reilly exaggerates to compare dailykos to nazis and kkkers. But the hatred that can be found on this site – and other hard-left sites is jaw-dropping.
I have not seen anything like it on the hard right sites.

Have you ever read DailyKos? Take a look at the comments after the story of jetBlue pulling their support for the YearlyKos convention.
Now compare the comments to the comments at right wing sites like Michele Malkin or Hugh Hewitt. Note the vulgarity and hate in the DailyKos site, while the right wing sites are mad about JB’s suppor, but not foul-mouthed, hateful, or mean.
You will find this difference in other sites. Check out Pandagon, Amanda Marcotte’s site. John Edwards hired her for his campaign website and had to let her go because of her anti religious, vile writings.
Bill O’Reilly is right about Daily Kos that it is a “hate” site. You need read it before you comment on the issue..

Bill O’Reilly is the male version of Ann Coulter, calling attention to himself to hype himself. That anyone takes him seriously and pays the slightest bit of attention to him speaks volumes about that person.

HEHE! I find it funny the people supporting this blog are name calling and using hate, but yet say the blog is not hate spewing. Hypocrisy.
Yes there are few hate spews from so called right winged sites, but they pale in numbers that the left has.
And yes the Democrats/Libs are hate spewing mongers always using the race card and so forth. Was it not the Dem/Libs in Maryland that threw Oreo cookies at Michael Steele.
Now I am not a great supporter of Bill, but ‘DaveM ‘ what has he spun incorrectly? Show facts please!

WBH – First we are not a Liberal Society, so I think you should read the Constitution. I know you libs want to turn us to a socialistic country. but we are not.
Scary, People that fall for propaganda to ignore history and the truth are bound to repeat it.

Bill, Hates, sexual predators, yet he has been exsposed as one, by a female co-host, late night phone sex. Was never charged, but paid millions to keep it quiet. Spin? Fair and balanced? how can it be if you never get to hear the other side on the O`really show. Nut job, pin head coolaid drinkers. Ulcer rated Billy O`Really.

DailyKos and other major blogs are open sites. That is, anybody can register and make comments. Therefore, ALL such sites will have hateful comments made by hateful people. If you haven’t seen hateful comments on right-wing sites, you haven’t looked very hard. The more active “leaders” at DailyKos try to down-rate the worst comments, but in the interests of free speech they lat most of them go.

Posted by: Jock | July 23, 2007, 12:50 pm 12:50 pm

Jock – Well first the item being talked about was put there by the moderator/author, so your point since it only seems libs go toit, then they all must be full of hate.

Posted by: spock | July 23, 2007, 1:21 pm 1:21 pm

chuck – Hey you just complimented Bill, Ann Coutler is great.
I Love how when you do not agree with a lib it is hate spewing. also love when a lib says something that is ok, but a Conservative says the same thing it is hate. Ann proved this.
You got to love the hypocrisy from the left.
If someone speaks the truth they are a right-wing nut. So Libs must always lie!! They say agree with this.

Posted by: spock | July 23, 2007, 2:27 pm 2:27 pm

The Kos site is a WAY OUT THERE socalist web site that will never agree on just the facts or have a decent or FAIR discussion on anything social or political. They are one influence on the POOR performance of Democrats in Congress along with their Socalist supporters and billionaire George Soros.
Couldn’t expect any thing but UN-truths and HATE !!

Posted by: Randy | July 28, 2007, 12:46 pm 12:46 pm

I totally agree that some people on DailyKos make way over the top statements… without a doubt. The thing about it is that DailyKos is a user driven community where the blogs (diaries) are posted by individuals who have registered on the site. It’s like facebook in the sense that any user on facebook can post whatever they like as long as they follow simple rules. I don’t here anyone blaming facebook for the thousands of disgusting things posted there… why is DailyKos any different? The difference is that O’Reilly wants to demonize DailyKos as a single entity because he doesn’t agree with the founders politics. Maybe he should go look at The Blaze, RedState or any number of other right wing sites to see if they deserve to be demonized as well.
