Rather – as the Senate begins debating the Defense Department authorization bill, and Defense Secretary Gates cancels his Latin America tour to prepare a bad-news report on Iraqi government benchmarks not met, Democrats again are piushing for U.S. troop withdrawal. With Republican after Republican rebelling against the president’s surge strategy, it will be interesting to see how the GOPers vote.
