Seante Hearing on Redeployment Scheduled
EmailABC News’ Jake Tapper Reports: According to someone close to the Senate Armed Services Committee, late Thursday Chairman Carl Levin, D-Mich, notified four Democratic Senators who earlier this week called for a hearing on Pentagon preparations for troop withdrawal from Iraq — Hillary Clinton of New York, James Webb of Virginia, Robert Byrd of West Virginia and Evan Bayh of Indiana — that the committee will meet next Thursday, August 2, to receive a briefing on that subject.
Levin told them that "At this time, I anticipate that the briefers will include Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Eric Edelman, and the Director for Strategic Plans and Policy (J5) Lieutenant General John Sattler, USMC."
Edelman wrote a controversial letter to Sentor Clinton stating that such public discussions aid enemy propaganda.

None of that planning will take effect until the Iraq’s oil deal is approve.

Propaganda! The enemy is right here on our door step trying to use our own tactics of dirty laundry against us…Our men our in trouble over seas and Elderman is concerned about the enemy listening! We have a traitor everywhere in every business of our “official” declaration page…its all about money not our men who are fighting over seas…its all about the “green” of power and who is at the forefront…Who in the armed forces committee loves to stir trouble or find headlines for another stinch for republican vs democrat…its like the white vs black, the rich vs poor…Why does the power seat always undermine the people who just want the truth and the finalization of our men to come home….when do the systems of this nation try to better their positions rather sell to the highest bidder propaganda to stir-up vices of continual fueds…Where does this nation get off to deliberate its wrong on another when we can’t even tie our own shoe laces with out spreading more vendeta to some nimcompoope, for just a piece of gossip inherited in the southern minds of powerful cantancerous old men who think their gods who serve the people of this Nation!!!!Who inherits from a catch 22! The “Oil Plan” that desperately needs to happen is the Iraqi plan to share national oil revenue with all their people. That will be one big step toward Iraqi national reconciliation; giving the Sunnis, Shia, and Kurds a stake in national survival and progress–instead of jihad. But now, their damn parliament decides to take a month off before addressing the most critical political issues. Our troops are buying them cover and protection with blood as the Surge is starting to work! The Iraqi MP’s need to step up now–before all US support for the war dries up, we pull our troops, and the genocide begins!
