Huckabee rocks out in Ames
ABC News’ Kevin Chupka reports: They may not be Skynyrd or CCR, but "Capitol Offense," the rock ‘n’ roll cover band of former Arkansas Governor and 2008 hopeful Mike Huckabee, does its best to be true to the sound of the southern rock greats. The band consists of various Arkansas natives and was formed in the basement of the Governor’s mansion in Little Rock during Huckabee’s tenure there.
Today at the straw poll in Ames, Iowa, it was the main attraction at Huckabee’s tent. Along with plenty of Hope, Arkansas watermelon and Iowa barbeque, "Capitol Offense" performed two sets during the day (yes, "Freebird" made the cut both times).
The Huckabee faithful danced and sang along as Huckabee picked away at the bass guitar. He also served as MC and joked with the crowd about getting inside the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, to cast their vote for him. The campaign gave away a signed bass guitar during the second set before Huckabee retreated to a cooler venue to await the results of today’s poll.

I really can’t see what legitimacy Brownback has left to his campaign.
He brought in over a hundred busses, had the second most organized campaign in the state, and worked his heart out for third place? Behind Huckabee, who basically came with nothing more than a speech?
Brownback’s been trailing Huckabee in the polls.
Brownback’s been trailing Huckabee in the debates.
Brownback’s been running a sleazy smear campaign…Huckabee is a gentleman.
Brownback flip flops on immigration votes in the course of 10 minutes depending on the wind…Huckabee has an executive track record as one of the longest serving and most successful Governors.
Huckabee is the only one who can revive people after Brownback’s speeches bore them to death.
And now Brownback and his 100 busses lose the poll to Huckabee and a bass guitar.
Bye bye Brownies.

I hope Huckabee continues to do well and keep improving his campaign. He seems like a very qualified candidate.

Huckabee was a good governor for the state of Arkansas, we could do worse, believe me.

Go Mike. I’m supprised ABC even had this article on Huckabee. It seems the media has been trying to sway our votes to either Guliani or Romney for the Reps and Hillary or Obama for the Dems.
I hope America isn’t as stupid as the media thinks we are… Good luck Huckabee I’ll be glad to cast my vote for you…
