Romney On Rudy: ‘I Was Wrong’
ABC News’ Teddy Davis and Matt Stuart Report: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told ABC News Sunday that he was "wrong" to call former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani "pro-gay marriage" during a springtime interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
"I was expressing what I thought were his difference of views," Romney told ABC News. "Turned out that I was wrong. I didn’t realize he was opposed to gay-marriage but he’s in favor of civil unions."
Romney’s distortion of Giuliani’s record was first reported on ABC News.com March 1 "Giuliani Smeared by ’08 Rival."
The springtime CBN interview with Dave Brody reentered the race for the GOP’s 2008 presidential nomination on Sunday morning when ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos played a clip of it during a Republican presidential debate held in Des Moines, Iowa. Asked by Stephanopoulos if he stood by his characterization, Romney said he would let the former New York mayor speak for himself.
"I clearly believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, although I did support domestic partnerships and still do," said Giuliani during the debate in a reference to a 1997 bill he signed into law in New York.

Giuliani is going to push the homosexual agenda as much as he can get away with. He knows he can’t push gay marriage and win the nomination. Not even the main democratic candidates are pushing gay marriage. That position is instant political death. But still he will push as much of the homosexual agenda as he can get away with and still have a shot at the nomination.
It’s good to keep in mind that whild he was getting his latest divorce, Giuliani lived with two homosexual men who were “partners”. That says a lot.

Your very own Poll said Ron Paul won by far. Count the votes people. Ron Paul 31 + K with ABC’s proclaimed “front runner” having a pathetic 3,900 votes. This is a sad picture of freedom the special interests are painting, a pale shadow of liberty, we need to take our country back!!!

Romney is fast becoming THE heir apparent to Bush. Pro-abortion until it becomes inconvenient for the next election objective and smear Giulani and apologise after the smear has accomplished its purpose. Oh yeah, and whine when you are called on it.

It is refreshing to see a candidate like Mitt Rommney who has, after thoughtful reflectiion and new information, the courage to change his views from time to time.

I think Romney was right the first time. As I understand it, after one of Giuliani’s divorces he stayed with a couple of gay friends and told them that if gay marriage ever becomes legal, he’d marry them first. Giuliani may not be for gay marriage in this election cycle, but he would be in the next if he gets elected.

It’s also deceptive to say that Romney blasted Giuliani. He was asked how he was different from Giuliani, and he gave the best answer he could.

Next Step: Romney needs to admit he was wrong about the USA adding 50 million jobs in the time it took Europe to add 3. In fact, in the time it took Europe to add 3 million jobs, the US only added 2.3 million. This Romney guy is really in over his head.
