Bill Clinton to Campaign for Tsongas Widow
EmailABC News’ Teddy Davis Reports: Hillary Clinton is not the only 1992 campaign spouse running for office.
Niki Tsongas, the widow of the late Sen. Paul Tsongas, D-Mass., is making a run for Congress.
On Sunday, Sept. 30, Niki Tsongas will get a high-profile boost from Bill Clinton when the former president travels to Lowell, Mass., to campaign for her.
Niki Tsongas is the Democratic nominee in the Oct. 16 special election to fill the House seat vacated by Rep. Martin Meehan, D-Mass.
Meehan stepped down from Congress earlier this year to become chancellor of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
Her opponent is Jim Ognowski whose brother was the pilot of one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
Paul Tsongas is the Democrat who branded Bill Clinton as a "pander bear". He also beat the future president in the 1992 New Hampshire primary.
Paul Tsongas died of pneumonia and liver failure in 1997 after his cancer returned.

If Tsongas has a shred of a brain in her head, she will distance herself as far as she can from the Clinton’s. Who in their right mind would want the backing of a impeached adulterer and the most “crooked” democrat this country has ever seen? Besides Bill that is! Is she looking to be named in the next Clinton scandal? Will she be involved in the next Clinton “accident”? That is all the Clinton’s have to offer anymore. I hope their daughter is taking notes on how not to be an american!

Your right Joe, maybe instead of paying attention to her parents, she should follow in the footsteps of the current president. Seeing as he is a coke-head and alcoholic…..which seems to run in the family.

Whats funny here is that Nikki and Clinton hate eachother. It is obvious that this is a close race and that the democrats need to bring in their biggest star, Big Will, who showed up 2hrs late. Many people at the event thought he wouldnt show up at all and get the final laugh in the Clinton/Tsongas fued that people must have forgotten. All in all, the Tsongas daughter is working for Obama in his bid, not Hillary…..which is why Niki wont endorse Hilary for President. When it comes down to it, Niki is simply brining in more people from outside, people from Washington to generate support and try and build her credibility. Niki must be running scared, and her husband rolling over in his grave in dissapointment.
