For Obama, It’s Now or Never
ABC News’ Jonathan Greenberger Reports: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said Wednesday that this may be his last chance at running for president.
Asked if his ’08 bid was just a strategic move to position himself for a run in 2012, Obama said he didn’t think his wife would allow him to run again if it doesn’t work out this time.
"Well, I’m not sure- I don’t think my wife’s going to let me do this twice. So let me be clear about that," Obama said while campaigning in Iowa.
Obama also sought to answer charges from his Democratic rivals that he is too inexperienced to be president, by pointing to his experience in the Illinois state legislature.
"I’ve been in elected office longer than John Edwards or Hillary Clinton," said Obama. "I’ve passed more bills I’m sure than either of them –certainly in the state legislative level."
Obama served eight years in the Illinois state Senate before his 2004 election to the United States Senate. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is in her second term as a United States senator, following eight years she spent in the White House married to former President Bill Clinton. When Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., left the Senate following his 2004 vice presidential run, he had only served one six-year term.
Obama also took aim at Clinton’s work on health care, arguing that the "closed" nature of the task force she led undermined the chances for reform.
"What the president can do," said Obama, "is shine the spotlight on the process and mobilize the American people to keep the pressure on. And that’s something that didn’t happen. And in some ways, in ’93 that didn’t happen because it was a closed process. And not everybody understood what was taking place, so when the insurance companies and the drug companies starting airing those Harry and Louise ads, you know, nobody really knew what was what. And that’s why the American people have to be involved."
Obama’s remarks come on the heels of a new ad, "Change," which seeks to position him as the anti-Washington and anti-lobbyist candidate.

Uhhhm, that’s why he’s part of the problem, not part of the SOLUTION. Edwards got out at just the right time, we dont need anymore politicians for life……

So Obama has passed a lot of bills…Is that what makes a successful politician. Pehaps in the political arena. Do we need lots of bills? We have so much legislation on record now that we can’t pay for it nor enforce it. Maybe we need someone who just wants to take care of what has already been mandated.

I thought Obama was running on the fact that he was an outsider. Now he’s campaigning that he has been on the inside longer than Edwards or Clinton? Pick a strategy already! And oh, your years in the U.S. Senate don’t count. You have to show-up to work for it count. And where have you been? Selling books, traveling to Africa and running for President.
Posted by: John Doen | September 5, 2007, 7:33 pm 7:33 pm
It’s about time that people see that Obama is more qualified AND experienced than either Clinton or Edwards.
You can bet that Clinton won’t brag about all the experience she had at the White House knowing her husband was cheating on her.
As for Edwards, his experience as Senator allowed him time to vote for the China Most Favored Nation bill, giving China a green light to take away our steel industry. And you wonder why the Steelworkers endorsed him today. Maybe they can’t afford computers to type “Edwards China Trade” in Google and see that their boy is a turncoat.

They are all worried about how we are viewed by other countries. Hell, since when does a LEADER sit around and worry about what other countries think? Obama et al are all a bunch of narcissistic, self-absorbed panderers. For instance, if they are so willing to appease a group of people that are here illegally, over the interests of law-abiding Citizens, then we are all being sold down the river. Obama would only serve to hasten the sale.

I’d like to see what the alleged bills are all about. Maybe they’re like the composite fantasies in his books where he takes credit for other people’s achievements. Obama is neither experienced nor prepared to be president. It takes more than a lot of nice sounding words to lead a country. With the mess that we’re in we need a president with the ability to smash through the Gordian Knot not just try to talk it into uncoiling. Sometimes the best man for the job is a woman, and her name is Hillary.

The primary system was intended to “reform” the way political parties chose their candidates. Now look what we’ve got going today. What a mess. Before primaries decided the issue conclusively, those smoke filled rooms had seen to the nomination of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt (as VP first and then as President), Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman (as VP first and then as President), and Ike Eisenhower. In the last 50 years how many reform period candidates stack up well against that list?

Hillary is not more experienced than Barak Obama. The media is trying to fool people into thinking Hillary is more experienced than Barak. Quite frankly, Barak is more experience on the legislative side when it comes to passing legislation. Also, even though Hillary served as first lady for eight years this was more of a ceremonial role that she served based upon her husband being elected President. Hillary is not more experienced on foreign affairs that Barak. I believe that their experience in this area is relatively the same.
Hillary needs to allow the media to have access to her records as a first lady to determine what experience she gained in this particular role and provide the public with what if any information they uncover. It is amazing to me that the media has not critically examined Hillary’s papers when she served as the First lady. It is my understanding that her campaign does not want to allow the press to have access to these records until after the election is over. The media needs to be given access to these records and the public has the right to know what is contained in these records.

That does not mean Hillary or Obama will be a good president either though, but that ‘experience’ cannot necssarily determine either. Personally I pray that Ron Paul will be president

Big deal. All that means is that he’s had less real-life experience than the others and he is even less qualified to lead this nation. Let’s face it, if he wasn’t black he would be laughed off the ballot. That’s not a slap against him, it shows the cowardice of the mainstream media.

First of all, America is not a democracy at all… it’s a republic. It’s up to the voters to decide who shall be elected to office to make policy, and of course all of that should represent what the people themselves want, but alas, we are a long way from that reality. Candidates are bought & sold with such ease and nonchalance.
I vote every election, and I plan to do so again. To not vote would be to disgrace and belittle all those who have fought for my right to do so. But I refuse to vote for a proclaimed socialist like Hillary Clinton. According to her, she’d like to take any profits made by my business, or anyone else’s, and delegate where it goes. Um, sorry honey – at this juncture, you don’t have the right to touch my profits.

Obi-Wan seems like a very nice man maybe a little too nice. He seems to be willing to placate people for world opinion at the risk of the US. Clinton 2.0 forgets that sleeping with the boss did not mean she was the boss. The reality is that she was never elected to anything until after Clinton 1.0 was out of the Big House.
To Lee Yarborough: Your condescending attitude about people not being able to afford computers is based on such out dated arrogance it is amazing. Some of us are out here with our $500 laptop computers with more horse power than the arrogant idiots that pay $3,000 and don’t know how to use them. The rest of us make our living with them, including affording a 3 bedroom townhouse on the ocean in Miami Beach, some call it South Beach. Intelligence is no reflection on earning power; it is really based on luck and work, more on luck. By discounting a person’s intelligence based on what they make is really dumb.

Having been in office is no measure of your character or qualifications. Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank are just two examples. Extreme left-wing antics notwithstanding, I see no moderation of tone nor any leadership qualities. Obama is like a marionette. God only knows who is pulling the strings. Yes, we all talk about experience in terms of years. But what did any of these candidates DO in their “years of experience?” Don’t look at the number of bills that Barack co-wrote and helped pass, look at what the bills were, and then go look at Hillary’s silly bills in comparison.
Also, can we talk, GOOD JUDGEMENT and no-nonsense thinking, and working for the people instead of personal gain (the Whitewater scandal is deplorable, and shows what Hillary’s all about.)
And why do you think she didn’t kick his fat bum out with the Lewinsky scandal??? Bill was her ticket to the Senate, and (in her own mind) the White House. This woman is power hungry. I would love to see a woman president, but NOT THIS ONE!

America will never have a regular president as long as the lobbyist, mega wealthy contributors put these people into office. We need campaign reform. No individual or corporation should be able to dictate whom we get to choice between. I find most of the canidates, from both parties, to be a joke. They try to pacify everybody with the smoke and mirror acts. They have paid speech writers and mouthpieces to tell them and say for them the things that the think tanks tell them the people want to hear. WAKE UP AMERICA!! We allow felony criminals to collect pensions for serving in Congress. We allow our representives to pass laws that override the constitution. We allow the super rich to dictate what and how our country will be run. We jail more people then anywhere else in the world. Educate yourself. Do not be a pawn to the system. Vote third party for no other reason then to send a message. And most of all, lets not forget the other countries on this Earth should not fear America, but desire to be free. Just like we used to be.

Passing Bills should not be a badge of honor. I would be willing to pay more taxes to get our elected officials to go home and shut up. Every law they pass is another loss of freedom. Basically we now have a government of the lawyers, by the lawyers and for the lawyers. To top it off, most of them are what I call Comfortable Commies, that is rich elite lawyers who pass laws to redistribute eveyones wealth but their own.

Obama is a product of the corrupt Dem political machine of Chicago. He showed no leadership and did what his boss Ritchie Daley told him to do.
If Obama was truly a ‘reformer’ as he now brags, he would’ve fought the corruption in Springfield and not helped facilitate it. He only got the Senate seat because the media started digging into the divorce and child custody records of his primary and general election opponents. The Illinois GOP compounded the problem by bringing in Alan Keyes, instead of choosing the primary runner up, or even a true Illinois resident.
Hillary can’t recall what happened during Bill’s terms, excpet that it was all just peachy. She can’t recall the shady people that got hired for her and Bill’s staffs. She can’t recall how the Rose Law firm records got into their private residence. She can’t recall one position she takes from the next.
Edwards has somehow has fooled enough people to think he is one of them, when he has constantly shown himself to be a complete hypocrite.
The Dems are a pitiful bunch…One political hack, one amnesiac, and one total phoney.

Senator Obama needs to run on the following basis:
1. He knows the Constitution (first black editor of Harvard Law Review, lecturer at U of Chicago Law School, civil rights attorney
2. He knows real people’s problems (community organizer, state legislator, challenging upbringing)
3. He knows the world (lived overseas, multiethnic heritage)

It’s pretty telling when the politician thinks the number of bills he’s PASSED is the most important metric.
As far as I’m concerned Congress is there to CONSIDER legislation, and that includes NOT PASSING bad laws, and laws that spend more and more money adding to debt the U.S. cannot afford.
“Passing the most laws” means the politician isn’t doing any critical thinking nor acting responsibly.

It’s not surprising that 99% of Republicans will be wearing (by next fall) Teflon brain armor preventing them from ever considering a vote for HRC. The right wing mind control machine will make sure of that. And it’s vitally important that HRC supporters not be in denial about this basic law of 2008 political physics.
But what should be most alarming to HRC fans is the high level of resistance to Hillary from within the Democratic ranks. There is a deep and visceral anti-Hillary sentiment and only a portion of it can be eroded by the hard core sales pitch that would accompany. There’s a very real risk that nominee Clinton’s prospects in the general election will be thwarted not by the Republican attack machine, but by the legions of sincere, well-intentioned, and high-integrity democrats who simply refuse to “fall in line” behind a candidate that does not truly represent their interests.
The Democrats of whom I speak held their noses and voted for John Kerry in 2004, because the alternative was thought to be even worse. And they were absolutely right about that. It has been.
But the Democratic nominee won’t be running against an insane end-times fascist in 2008. In fact it’s quite likely that the Republican nominee will hold policy positions and display personality quirks that, in the full analysis, are not significantly dissimilar to those already espoused by HRC in this campaign. Unlike 2004, the choice will not be made so clear to these Democrats.
So if pulling either the Red or Blue lever yields the same result, many Democrats who are holding their nose and claiming to pollsters to support Hillary as the nominee will ultimately just skip the presidential portion of the ballot, or write in some protest vote name like “Al Gore,” or “Michael Bloomberg,” or “Ralph Nader.”
Hillary simply cannot win the general election. It’s a fact as plain as the earth is round. And even if this wasn’t a fact, it’s most certainly a fact that Hillary cannot govern the country. The Washington impasse that has given us the most constipated Congress in modern history would only deepen under a Hillary Clinton presidency.
Once we all accept these fundamental truths, we can get on with the business of choosing a nominee with better than a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the election and leading the country.

I can’t believe that Obama would basically make a fool out of himself like that. I don’t know who is giving him campaign advice, but it’s poor advice.
There is NO COMPARISON between decisions made at a State vs a Federal Level. A state legislature doesn’t have to make decisions about wars, and funding in the billions of dollars, or laws that will affect over 250 million people.
Obama has had a nice little political career, but even if he was white or a Republican, he is TOO IN EXPERIENCED to take on an office as important as the Presidency.

Her years as First Lady may be helpful experience but they do not count as being in an elected office!! You people at ABC just make me sick with your profound bias.

Hey, American Hero. Nice attempt at smearing Obama using the ooh-spooky Muslim fear trick, but your facts are just plain wrong. Anyone who cares to read the truth can do so elsewhere online, in countless places. What your argument is, basically, is “Hey, he has one of those different, scary furrener names. He’s a terrorist!” His middle name is like a John or a Michael of the Western world… or like a Smith last name would be. If a Smith blew up a building would that guilt be on the heads of all the Smiths of the world? The correct answer here is NO and therefore you are painfully wrong. Nice try, though. :)

He’s not presidential material but well choreographed and packaged. He was a state senator and in Illinois that equals patronage. His foreign policy stance is in arrears and we need experience not someone who thinks Rock Island, Blue Island and Stony Island are part of the Mariannas.

If the Democrats were smart, they’d stop focusing on their infatuation with the notion of electing either a woman or an African-American president and start picturing how a general election campaign with either of those two candidates would realistically play out. Once the Republican smear machine gets geared up and starts pounding us with video snippets stirring old memories of the snitty tone that many hated about Hillary ( i.e. “I guess I could have stayed home and baked cookies”, “There’s a vast right wing conspiracy”, etc.), her negatives will go from the mid 40′s to the mid-to-upper 50′s. Barak Obama? Please. They’ll bash his inexperienced head in. John Edwards has, by far, the best chance of any of the Democrats of weathering and winning the general election.

Most politicians talk and talk and talk and talk! Any intelligent voter can hear whether the talk has substance or none. Barack Obama talks sense, talks substance. He has to be given a chance for the sake of all of us. No one has a right to blog if he or she does not even vote in this democratic country.
Please, let us all exercise our right to vote! By voting we let the politicians know that we are involved in our government. The Lewinsky scandal was just downright degrading to the office of the presidency! We have to restore the honor and dignity of the office by not putting another Clinton there.

Experience??? I find it interesting that Hillary Clinton equates her time as first lady as executive experience. If she was in a leadership role in the White House during the Bill years then she would have had the same intel on Iraq and WMD’s that Bill had. Didn’t she vote for the war in Iraq? Oh yeah, it was only after it became socially expectable, and therefore politically advantageous to say she was lied to about the pre-war intel. So, which is it Mrs. Clinton? Were you lied to, or did you have first hand knowledge about the threat in Iraq? Either you DO have experience from your time in the White House, and that experience, and inside knowledge lead you to cast an informed vote for the war; or you were NOT in a leadership role during yours husbands administration, any you had no knowledge of the real threat of Saddam Hussein until you became a Senator. You cannot have it both ways. An experienced executive with 8 years of intelligences reports on Iraq cannot claim to have been lied to about Iraq. On the other hand, a new Senator with NO experience, who only has the current administration’s intel briefs to go on might try to pass the buck on this one. Wake up America!!!

President Bush had a bi-partisan commission deal with Social Security in a sunshine manner. It was shot down. Suggestions that Obama might only run once mesh nicely with Oprah’s suggestion that, though she got involved in politics this time, she might never do so again. Oprah showed her racism by crowing about being waited on by white people and by only getting involved in a Presidential campaign for a black person. Obama showed his racism by accepting her support and by saying that the day he is inaugurated, America will be transformed by that very fact. Two Urban League spokesman were asked about this (clearly racist) statement and avoided the subject by answering a question that wasn’t asked.

HILLARY CLINTON WAS NOT ELECTED TO RUN ANYTHING WHEN HER SO-CALLED ‘HUSBAND’ WON THE ELECTION BECAUSE OF THE SPOILER ROSS PEROT. THE CLINTONS LIKED TO SAY DURING THE PRIMARY THAT A VOTE FOR BILL WOULD BRING THE ADDED BONUS OF HILLARY – ‘TWO FOR ONE’. SOME BONUS!!! SHE BOTCHED UP THE ONE BIG CHANCE BUBBA GAVE HER – HEALTHCARE REFORM. THE SMARTEST WOMAN ON EARTH ALSO DID NOT KNOW THAT HER OLD HORNDOG HUSBAND WAS SHOWING HIS BIG FAT CIGAR TO A FAT INTERN IN THE OVAL ORRIFACE AND ASSAULTING KATHLEEN WILLEY. AFTER JENNIFER FLOWERS AND PAULA JONES, ETC. THE SMARTEST WOMAN ON EARTH SHOULD HAVE HAD THE OLD HORNDOG WATCHED ROUND THE CLOCK, BUT ACCRODING TO HILLARY SHE DID NOT KNOW ALL OF THIS WAS GOING ON. CONCLUSION: 1) HILLARY FAILED TO MONITOR THE HORNDOG – SHE FAILED TO RUN HER OWN HOUSE AND THEREFORE CANNOT RUN THE WHITE HOUSE OR 2) HILLARY IS LYING AGAIN – SHE KNEW ABOUT HER ‘HUSBAND’ AND THE INTERN AND THEREFORE WAS RUNNING A WHORE HOUSE INSTEAD OF THE WHITE HOUSE. EITHER WAY YOU LOOK AT IT- HILLARY IS UNFIT TO RUN THE COUNTRY.

What worries me after surfing the various blogs almost daily, is the fact that quite a few of the folks who post, may actually be voter’s. It’s become quite obvious that very few have taken the effort or time to actually study the positions of the various candidates, or to research legislative or voting records. If more of you would possibly pull away from sitting in front of your tv every day, and possibly spending a little time using the computer’s you obviously have; you would find word for word record’s for each candidate at individual government legislature websites, not only on the federal level but state as well. Quit speculating and depending upon FOX, ABC, NBC, CNN, YouTube etc. etc.,or the candidate’s own personal websites, which obviously are prejudiced to the candidate owning the site.

The Clinton lovers want Bill and Hill back in the White House. The libs think they did such a great job. All of those investigations, sex scandals, turning down a chance to get Osama Bin Laden when the Sudan offered to turn him over to Bill, ignoring the bombings of the Khobar Towars, the USS Cole, the Word Trade Center in 1993, etc. When your brain is so fried you see the Clintons differently than people with clear heads. Obama is close to officially becoming a flash in the pan. The buzz has faded and he is fading in the polls.

it seems that every one of your incomprehensible posts has “32 years” in it. What is that all about? Were you not paying attention in elementary school when they were teaching you how to add?
George H. W. Bush served as President of the United States for 4 years.
William J. Clinton served as President of the United States for 8 years.
George W. Bush will have served as President of the United States for 8 years when his term is through.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong here, but when I added 4+8+8, I got 20. That, sir, is a far, far cry from 32.
It’s obvious from your posts that you are not an American, much less a person whose native tongue is English. That being said, perhaps it would be best if you went back to where you came from and leave American politics to Americans.

If Senator Clinton had merely cut ribbons and kissed babies as first lady of Arkansas and the United States, all her detractors would be right to state that she is unqualified to hold the presidency in her own right. However, Sen. Hillary Clinton was one of her husband’s most important political and policy advisors during his time as Governor of Arkansas and President of the United States.
In Arkansas, she spearheaded many successful health and education initiatives, especially in the crucial area of early education. Let me repeat: she did this in Arkansas!!! Where women were supposed to be charming but silent, and taxes is a four-letter word.
In Washington, she was part of the political and policy team that brought us arguably the most successful presidency of the last half of the twientiety century. Although her healthcare initiative failed, Sen. Clinton has since supported important incremental changes in the healthcare system that showed that healthcare reform can work. As such, she’s an important reason why healthcare is so important as a political issue and why Democrats are in a position to attempt reform again today. It’s called building political consensus and it’s a good thing.
But important as this experience is, standing alone, it wouldn’t make me a supporter of Sen. Clinton’s. However, Sen. Clinton’s experience in Arkansas and the White House is precisely the kind we need after 8 years of Bush politicization and de-professionalization of the very federal agencies charged with such important tasks as keeping arsenic out of our water and rescuing people when when their cities drown. As President Clinton’s political and policy partner, Sen. Clinton has the best claim to knowing how to run a federal agency with efficiency and professionalism. This, by the way, is the president’s chief domestic responsibility. (Please DON’T bring up the numerous failed investigations of the Clintons by REPUBLICANS as an argument against their good management. First, NONE of the investigations showed ANY wrongdoing on the Clintons’ part. Second, if you think that Republicans won’t start investigating any Democratic president even before he/she takes office, you are tragically mistaken.)
On the other hand, neither Sen. Obama nor Sen. Edwards has any experience running anything outside of their houses, law practices, and academic offices. Admirable, of course, but hardly enough. We’ve already had 8 years of malicious inexperience; we don’t need to follow that up with another 4 of well-meant bumbling.
Just a note to those of you who throw around the term “junior Senator” like an epithet. You do realize that she’s only “junior” because Chuck Schumer was elected shortly before she was, right? She could be in the Senate for another 30 years, but if Schumer doesn’t resign, she’ll still be “junior.” “Junior” and “Senior” in the Senate denote formal seniority, NOT experience.
Posted by: dawn | September 6, 2007, 11:13 am 11:13 am
Mike- the 32 years refers to 8 years of Bush Sr. as VP to Reagan, 4 years of Bush Sr. as President, 8 years of partying and fund raising for the Clintons and 8 years for George W Bush- that adds up to 28 years – If the Madame Hillary wins in 2008 that would mean 32 years of rule by 2 families. End the cycle!!!!

Obviously Dawn is a Clinton lover- only sees what she wants to see. To say that Clinton brought us the most successful Presidency of the last half of the twentieth century is a joke- What do you expect from someone who can’t even spell twentieth? The man’s legacy is a stained blue dress. History will judge Clinton very harshly – he ignored the gathering storm of radical Islamic terrorism and it will cost his beloved wife her life’s ambition- the Presidency. By the look of last night’s debate you can see where this is going- the choice will be between a war-hero – John Mc Cain and a complete zero- HRC.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Do you have proof to back up anything you say? Do you realize have of what you have posted makes no sense? Posted by: TexasDem”
As one other poster observed, the elected are representative of their constituents. Based on that, Betrand must be from Massachusetts.

Obama makes a realistic point. He does have much more experience at the job than Hillary, who has always been busy polishing her run for president.

All politicians are to be mistrusted, they all lie, it is part of the job description. Unfortunately, most ‘voters’ are too blind or too stupid to filter out all the crap they spew at us.

“Next president will be from Reagan’s family Mike, after Chelsea will come up .Mike still in jail…for long. You don’t understand that BUSH-CLINTON have killed more than 12000 americans soldiers but we didn’t receive nothing good from them.”
Okay Bertrand, now I’m really confused! Who in Reagan’s family is going to be the next president? There’s not one Reagan even considering running for president this time around!
And please, oh wise Bertrand, how can you say that “BUSH-CLINTON have killed more than 12000 americans soldiers”? Where in the world did you come up with that figure? At last count, I believe the number of US dead in Iraq was at less than 4,000. That is not even 1/3 of what you’re claiming!
It’s always a good idea to know what you’re talking about before you go and start throwing out “facts” and figures like you’ve been doing.

Because of their job? Have you ever serve the army Mike ? We don’t need CLINTON-BUSH lite again. Husbands, wifes, mum, dad, brothers, friends, sisters, uncles, etc they most vote for Hilary ? Come on MIKE be serious man…….The decision we are making where are we now ? Those families have to dance? They have to sing ?Mike you have to understand that enough is enough. If Chelsea was in IRAQ and dead then I will vote for Hilary. Mike , how old is Chelsea????????????????? 7 or 10 years??? Please tell me. I am waiting for the answer.

Hilly votes for war in Iraq and she is leading in Dem polls for 08 race. Dems are aginst the war in Iraq – they were ALWAYS against it. So how does Hilly get these poll numbers? Republicans have Hilly on tape telling Code Pink ladies that Sadam has weapons of mass destruction based on intelligence from HER HUSBAND’S administration – not the Bush administration. Hilly cannot win, once these tapes are used OVER and OVER again during the election.
Posted by: Cathy | September 6, 2007, 2:22 pm 2:22 pm
Hilary has a daughter Chelsea, but why she didn’t go to iraq ? Many wanna go,why she don’t? Because his father are preparing her to be a president.Making money in the world, conferences, etc blood money…we will punish them in election that is it.

Yes, the first black president, Bubba Clinton, stood by while the Rwandans were slaughtered. He never wanted to get his hands dirty- did not want to ruin chance for Hillary and him to move back into the White House. He is a disgraceful coward.

Come on people y’all gotta know that Osama’s got the election in the bag..the big O is behind him..she gonna buy him the Presidency..just like she bought him the senate race..she so powerful.. all her idol worshippers are gonna put him where she wants him..now she gets to call the White House home without even running herself..then she gonna be more powerful than any body, cause she bought her very own President..

hillary and bill = FALN terrorists being
pardoned.
President Bush has kept us safe for six years – France and Germany are abandoning “leftist” charades and making security first priority. Romney, Guiliani, Thompson, Hunter are all men who care about this country – and will fight to protect it.

Hilary is leading because media are corrupted like her.Hilary is leading because of Bill Clinton. But Clinton is a big liar that is why USA is corrupt. Ok Mike let me be clear. If we are sincere about politics, do you know that , Bush who is not Black preisdent has used more Blacks in his administration than Clinton???????? Now Who is the real Blackpresident? The answer is Bush but people are blind. I am not republican but sincere. Clinton was eating, singing, dancing with them for nothing. If you can not controle yoursingle husband , how about 300 000 000 americans life , corruption , etc…..She supposed to stand up to fight for women abused but just politic’s calculation. She disgraced women. Clinton supposed to go to jail. Now she is 60 years old and will controle who ? Clinton? or the country? Obama is a fraud. How can he explain how he’s going to fix the health care system and it is other peoples faults when his wife was cashing big checks through the hospital they were ripping people off from?
Just look up “Obama truth” on google and click the link.

I agree with Mr. Obama, it is time for a change. I can’t buy the ‘experience counts’ argument. Look where we are today with our current set of legislators. Time to VOTE THE INCUMBENTS OUT.

I’m not voting for Obama or Hilary, so leave me out of your ludacris rant. I have yet to make my decision, but I’m on the other end of the spectrum. Sorry hun.

Folks, if I can interject one good reason to vote Democrat in the next general election, it’s this; the next president will likely appoint 1 or 2 supreme court justices. Now, if you’re a woman and you value the right to make decisions about your body, you vote for a dem. If you are in the lower or middle or even middle-upper class and you value a fair tax system and the current social security system, vote democratic. If you’re gay (I know you’ll vote democrat anyway) but if you ever want to be able to marry like anyone else, vote democrat.
And finally, if you want to get out of this horrible mess in Iraq (and don’t tell me we can’t do it quickly and logically) then by god vote for the democrats.
And with regard to the Reagan comment before. If Michael Reagan becomes president, I’m moving to Canada. If Ron Reagan becomes president, we’ll be a great country once again.
Clinton/Obama ’08

JC, Thank you for that post. Regardless if I agree with you or not, you made great points. Coming from someone that knows the skills of debate.. you’d be alright. I could put money on the fact that it will probably be a joined Clinton/Obama ticket in the end. And you know what, they’ll probably win. You have a woman/minority and a race minority. They cover the demographics. Maybe we should resurrect good ole’ Ronald Reagan. He was such a great guy!

“Obama served eight years in the Illinois state Senate before his 2004 election to the United States Senate. Sen Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is in her second term as a United States senator, following eight years she spent in the White House married to former President Bill Clinton.”
First they deceivingly DON’T TELL YOU THAT OBAMA IS RIGHT, see they cleverly don’t tell you that she only IN her second term and has not served in ELECTED OFFICE as long as Obama has! Then like the “in the tank” liberals they are, they go on to talk about the eight years she spent being MARRIED to the Wanderer! What the heck does her marriage have to do with ANYTHING. She gave TEAS luncheons and almost screwed up the health care system of the United States, but NONE of that has ANYTHING TO DO with OBAMA’S ORIGINAL ASSERTION.

Hilary’s experience in the White House consisted of giving some speeches here and in other countries. So has Laura Bush. Maybe Laura can move to New York, run for Senate and become a Republican candidate for President and run on her experience.
WAKE UP AMERICA!

linton Supporter Arrested in N.J. Corruption Sting
By Patrick Healy
Updated:
Among the 11 public officials arrested in an F.B.I. corruption sting in New Jersey today was a leading Democratic supporter of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign in that state, Mayor Samuel Rivera of Passaic.
It was the latest legal embarrassment involving an ally of the Clinton campaign, coming only one day after a wealthy Clinton donor, Norman Hsu, missed his court date in a California fraud case and apparently disappeared.

I LOVE CLINTON EXPERIENCE read next,,,,
Clinton advisers this spring and summer have been aggressively touting their long list of endorsements from elected officials and prominent Democratic donors, to indicate the breadth of establishment support that Mrs. Clinton enjoys. Yet, in the case of Mr. Hsu and now Mayor Rivera, the criminal allegations indicate a cost that can come with quickly rounding up political support from far and wide.

I don’t think that Obama’s wife wants him to run this time; let alone next time. I do think that he was too eager. He should have waited until next time. He would have been more experienced and tested. He could have built up some political alliances. He might have had a chance.

Barack Obama is a very fine presidential specimen. He is highly intelligent, intuitive, eloquent, charismatic and inspirational. He has methodically crafted himself, guided by great vision and inner strength into a very successful family man and influential politician. In a word, he is a great achiever
Contrast Obama to Hillary Clinton and the difference is quite remarkable. Hillary simply doesn’t posses the endearing qualities of Obama. Much has been made of experience but this claim is empty considering that Hillary was no VP nor did she hold any political position in the White house. She flunked the only meaningful healthcare assignment that Bill gave her. She voted for the war in Iraq, and then supported the erroneous declaration of the revolutionary guard of Iran as a terrorist organization. Would you hire Hillary as the CEO of your organization if your money and life depended on it? The obvious answer is no. So, why should she be president of the United States?
Obama and Hillary should be judged by their performance in this campaign. Hillary started on third base, backed by an ex president and the full weight of special interest groups and their media. Obama started at first base and is now on third base while Hillary sweats. Obama has clearly demonstrated superior organization, management and political skills. What better credentials can there be to qualify for the job of being president.
About this matter of experience, no democrat should be elected to the White House simply because they have the experience of beating off miserable republicans in personal wars. The country has no need for such divisive encounters. It is sick to the core of gutter politics. It cannot afford to squander anymore opportunities. The rest of the world is on the move.
This is the time for real change and Barack Obama is the real deal. A vote for Hillary is the third coming of George W Bush. We are not cursed. Let’s be wise and do the right thing. Dump Hillary and Support Obama.
