These are their stories
Yesterday in the Sunshine State, former Sen. Fred Thompson, R-Tenn., weighed in on the Terri Schiavo controversy, suggesting that Congress overstepped its bounds when intervening. Read more HERE.
Also of note, flagged by eagle-eyed ABC News political reporter Teddy Davis, the fact that Thompson as District Attorney Arthur Branch on NBC’s "Law & Order," weighed in on a fictional "ripped-from-the-headlines" version of the Schiavo case. More on that in the story linked above.
My grandfather died this morning. Everett Dyson Palmatier — Navy veteran of World War II, physicist at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a great husband, father, and grandfather, lover of puns, birds, and stamps. May his memory be a blessing. The world was a richer place for your having been here, Grampie.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. You linked to some neat old photographs. A fitting tribute.

On comparing the him as an actor on a show to this is stupid at best liberal propaganda at worst. I do not think he writes the script, and it is fictional.
Secondly he is right, Congress should not of gotten involved especially half heartedly as it did. even though her life should of been spared it was a state issue.

Jake, so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandfather. While your grieving may seem endless, the memories will be forever. Cherish those memories. And may I suggest collecting old videos and photos and putting them on DVDs for your daughter. It’s sad that she will never meet her great grandfather. But she can still know of him. God bless!

Jake, please accept my condolences and my sympathy for your loss. My best friend’s aunt once spoke some comforting words to me at the death of my mother, “Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain.” May it be so with your grandfather.

Sorry; I’ve been away from the internets for a while…
I never knew either of my grandfathers, as they died before I was even born…my deepest sympathy for your loss, Jake
