Clinton Questioned About Iran Vote

Its sad to say at least our conservative friends on the right get the Richardson Plan for Iraq. ***
Come on my fellow Democrats, get off this celebrity kick of Clintons and Obama and start asking hard questions of the top Democrats.
Change and experience with substance are the seeds for our future not popularity or celebrity. I am voting for Richardson because of substance.

Its so amazing to me how these stories can completely miss the point while pretending that they are giving us some real solid information. All of the candidates except for 1 from either party have lied to us. Clinton has no intention of stopping this war and neither do any other candidates but, RON PAUL! They keep telling us his following is only on the INTERNET. Well, I would just like to present some stats that make that a great thing! According to Bill O’reilly the Mainstream News has suffered a serious drop in ratings over the last 6 years due to more and more people of all ages getting their news from alternative sources such as the INTERNET! In fact 79% of all people between the ages of 15 – 39 get their news from the Internet solely!!!! While more and more of those over 40 are switching to the internet because it lacks EDITORIALIZING that has become so frequent on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, and all the others. What does it all mean you are asking??!?!?! It means that if more and more people are getting their news from the Internet and Ron Pauls following is on the INTERNET (whatever that means) Then…. Ron Paul is more in touch with not only the Average American but, also is touching a wider audience than any other candidate because he has over 300,000 individual clicks per day. Ron Paul is the only hope for our Country and he has shown himself to be a consistent and true American. He is the only candidate that puts the American People above his own wishes. He isnt just trying to get elected, he is trying to better our nation by keeping the individual at the forefront rather than pushing them into the backseat! Protect the Constitution! VOTE RON PAUL!!

Let’s just be clear about what Rolph tried to do. Rolph didn’t go there to be convinced but to try to embarass Clinton.

She either votes to attack Iran or give back all those contributions she’s received from AIPAC. She’s bought and paid for by them just like many other (Mostly Democrats) politicans. By the time the general election campaign is in full swing next fall and we’re engaged with Iran militarily, Hillary’s commnets regarding her vote to label the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization will sound quite familiar: “If I had only known then what I know now.” Her inability to learn from her mistakes should disqualify her from any serious consideration for President. We’ve been through far too much of thqt inability to learn from past mistakes stuff with Bush already.

Please, someone out there tell me that they have this snarky exchange on video. Senator Clinton has done a remarkable job distancing herself from any genuine questioning from the press or the electorate. It is time we get to see how she responds to someone that isn’t beholden to Washington.

At exactly which campaign events did Senator Clinton get that same question asked? Anyone have corroboration for Clinton’s assertion?
PS I’m a died-in-the-wool Dem who not only voted for Bill twice and Hillary twice, but also volunteered on Bill’s ’92, ’98 and Hillary’s 2000 campaigns, and I would like to know why she voted for that amendment also. Not everyone who questions Hillary is a ring-wing plant.

Judging from several responses on here, the Democratic party apparently suffers from the same problem as the Republican party: people are afraid to question their leaders.
This guy asked a legitimate question, but some people are attacking him–and accusing him of being a Republican. I’m a Ron Paul supporter, so I obviously question the Republican party’s leaders quite often–and I’m accused of being a Democrat.
You Democrats are no better than the Republicans if you just fall in line behind Mrs. Clinton and attack those who ask tough questions.

I guess that hardball question was a real suprise to hillary after all these months of softballs being fed to her.

It’s amazing how some people are turning Billary into a Godlike creature, who nobody can or should ever question……is it easier to justify in YOUR mind by saying “this guy was a plant”… instead realizing that not all Demos agree with everything Billary does or says…… I surely do not blindly follow or agree exclusively with any politician or political group….. I CAN think for myself….. Some of these people could easy be followers of Jim Jones…… people who never question their leadership worry me….….

I was at that New Hampton event. There is nothing unusual about Iowa voters asking tough questions. The Democrats know that we may be picking the next President, and a lot of us take the responsibility of living in an influential state seriously.
Rolph is no Republican. Candidates get asked about lots of things at events, and mostly they act like it’s part of the process. I asked Obama a very similar question about Iran last Friday, and instead of getting in my face, accusing me of being a plant, and of not knowing what I was talking about, he answered the question. What a concept.
I thought Hillary was patronizing and rude, and that her effort to school Rolph on the parts of the bill that had been changed were not really responsive to his question. Why is it “robust diplomacy,” as she called it, to designate a military organization within a sovereign government as a terrorist organization? Or, stated differently, why is any Democrat voting for an Iran resolution with Joe Lieberman’s name on it?

1. Kyl-Lieberman contains no use of force clause authorizing military action in Iran. In fact, because it is a non-binding “Sense of the Senate” Resolution, it doesn’t authorize force anywhere. The resolution REQUESTS that the President use military force against Quds Forces in IRAQ. Know what? Our military forces will do that anyway.
2. Sen. Clinton accurately answered Mr. Rolph’s question more than once. It wasn’t a particularly tough one (see above). Mr. Rolph simply refused to accept her answer as true. My guess is that he had hold of the FIRST Kyl-Lieberman Resolution which did contain authorization to use force.
3. I heard the exchange. For all of you who are so eager to hear “Sen. Clinton throw a temper tantrum,” or whatever you’ve led yourself to believe happened, simply go to CNN and take a listen. But you’ll be disappointed because all you’ll hear is Sen. Clinton answering someone’s uninformed question politely but passionately. She wasn’t “rude,” “testy,” “snarky,” or “patronizing.” She was probably a little frustrated that, no matter how many times she refuted the accusation that she’d authorized President Bush to use force, Mr. Rolph just kept insisting that she had. After reading countless inaccurate postings on the topic, I’m starting to know how she feels.
(4) I urge everyone to get a hold of Kyl-Lieberman and read it. I believe that accurate information will go a long way to resolving this little flap.
