For Senator Dodd White Hair Equals Hard Work

ABC News’ Donna Hunter Reports: White house hopeful Sen. Chris Dodd D-Conn., is airing a new campaign ad in Iowa and its all about the hair, a full head of white hair that is. In the new 60 second ad the Senator and two barbers named John and Jesse discuss the many reasons why his hair has turned white.

You can watch the ad by clicking HERE.

With help from the barbers, Dodd interjects himself throughout the commercial lightly sprinkling in his accomplishments as a US Senator. The ad mentions his time in the Peace Corp, his part in negotiating peace deals in Central America and Northern Ireland and his 26 years on the Senate Foreign Relation Committee. And last but not least ,the Senator gave the origin of more than a few of his white strands, the Family and Medical Leave Act. "I got a lot of white hairs from that one! Whoa!" said Dodd.

This will be the sixth ad the Senator has broadcast in Iowa and it comes on the heels of the Dodd family announcing they’re moving to Iowa. The move disproves the rumors that he’ll be dropping out before the Iowa Caucus and it’s a clear example of where the campaign is putting its time and money.

On the issue of money, Dodd ends his most recent commercial asking the barbers, "How much are these haircuts," From the looks of the shop it would be fair to say the cost was less that $400 dollars.
