Rob Reiner Sings For Clinton
ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: Rob Reiner sang a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday, Mrs. President" in honor of Senator Hillary Clinton at his Brentwood, California, home on Sunday evening.
Celebrities came to see to see Clinton, D-N.Y., and to celebrate in advance of the former first lady’s 60th birthday. Although they didn’t bring gifts, celebrities from Jamie Lee Curtis, Magic Johnson, Ted Danson, Bridget Moynihan and Chelsea Handler raised a half a million dollars for the Clinton campaign and enjoyed cocktails and hors deouvres in return.
Despite the massive fires miles away in Malibu, guests were greeted by men dressed in head to toe white, with lavender bow ties saying with "Welcome to the Reiner’s," as they shuffled up and down the street parking Bentleys, Porsches, and BMWs.
In a town where loyalty is split between Clinton and rival Senator Barack Obama, D-Ill., the famous actor turned director Reiner made the push for his candidate in this Hollywood crowd.
"This is a tough time right now and we need the best woman qualified," Reiner said.
Clinton thanked Steve Bing and other guests at the event before delivering her standard stump speech. About 250 people applauded as Clinton outlined her disapointment with the Bush administration.

I guess Joe McCarthy wasn’t all that wrong about Hollywood socialism.

I wonder if I can get a job with one of these Hollywood Production companies… I have no experience, no resume, and really have no clue how to run a business…. opps that is like Hillarys resume for President. I just figured they werent into experience and capability. How bout it Reiner?

Did MeatHead also sing “Nearer My God to Thee” as that is where a Hillary Presidency will put the US but then again they don’t don’t believe in God do they unless the deity is in the likeness of George Soros.
Perhaps singing the Soviet national anthem would be appropriate too for such class warfare agendas, values and beliefs as for Mr Clinton’s and her husband’s.

Just a preview of the future. This gathering of wealthy elitists that force socialism on the rest of America will beocme commonplace, at least until our country collapses due when business and industry leave after all incentive and opprotunioty are killed by socialism, high taxes and big govt.!

Honestly, I think this is Hillary’s moment to jump the shark. I mean, Rob Reiner, isn’t exactly on the A-list. Nor are the others listed here. However, middle America sees that a socialist like Reiner is in Hillary’s camp. And that’s all they need to know to vote against her. Hillary will get creamed in 2008 no matter who the Republican nominee is.

I was puzzled by the fact I wasn’t invited to the big party for Hillary until I read the guest list and realized I haven’t a clue who Bridget Moynihan and Chelsea Handler are.

Let this be a lesson to America; we can all drive Porsche’s, Bentley’s, and BMW’s if we voted for Obama or Hillary. Unfortunately, Obama and Hillary know the Ex-big 3 auto makers are struggling but love to attend fundraisers who drive foreign made and promote foreign based vehicles. Also, why wasn’t O.J. Simpson invited? Wade

Rob Reiner is and always has been a commi low life whose lust for my once beautiful country (USA) is to reform it in his, and his peers, vision. Rob and his disgusting father both worked their lives to turn the US away from its strong moral stance into a Babylonian house. And here we are today, scum bag Reiner playing his same games.

I’m waiting how long it will take the Malibu elite to parrot their kindred spirits, those of the lower quarters of New Orleans, about how Bush & his FEMA director abandoned them in their time of need.
“Where Was Bush!!!!”
Can you imagine? “We were without a place to live & the G5 was in Miami so we had to take a commercial flight to our place in Jackson Hole.”
I wonder what it must like to be able to afford to actually be liberal.

Hillary and Hollywood are the new aristocracy. They live lives better than any European monarch and see them selves as the ones who will bestow upon the lowly surfs who aren’t them any blessing that might befall are pitiful lives. We have life and liberty from and because of them not our constitution.

Could you imagine if a Republican fundraiser was going on while not too far away fires were burning widly and bringing down homes? The elite liberals would be screaming!!! However, these liberals throw $Hillary a birthday party/fundraiser and everyone is happy go lucky. And what about global warming? Between all the Bentleys, BMWs and Porsches lined up outside his home, the carbon footprint must have been the size of Antartica!!! What a bunch of phonies! Rob Reiner truly is a MeatHead.

Gee, ya think the press would write such a loving piece if Bush, Cheney or any other repub were honored w/ such lavishness? No, all we’d hear about is how much it cost and how (Bush, etc) is a prime example of born-into elitism and corporate greed. Too bad the press can’t see reality through the liberal democrat goggles they wear and realize there is no more corporate greed in this world than the smut, gore, and violence propaganda machine that calls itself Hollywood, except maybe the democrats.

The real deal – Socialists throw a hack event like this and it shows up on the front page as society and glamour industry news. Republicans do it and you will find it on the op ed pages full of condemnation. Democrats are not all socialists but all socialists are democrats. When the ‘liberal’ tag got too hot for them, they (with the help of the MSM changed their moniker to ‘progressive’. Imagine that. Know a socialist for who they are, what they are and what they will do to this country if they gain control.

How many times is Clinton going to get away with these illegal fund raisers wrapped up as private parties. Her fund raising efforts will be her downfall. There is no point wasting your effort trying to convince Hilary’s fans that she is an evil nutcase. They can’t see it. They have swallowed too much koolaid at this point. There is literally NOTHING that she and her husband could do that would steer these maniacs from their path of abject loyalty. The only thing we can do is turn out in equally maniacal force in support of whomever receives the Republican nomination.

I hope that the sentiment that H.C. will be beaten is true. But I have my doubts. It is strange enough that H.Clinton would even get this far grasping for a position she has almost no qualifications for.
Perhaps history’s cruel lesson is that from time to time, we must suffer a “Jimmy Carter” in order to get our wheels back on the track and find a “Reagan”.

Umm, what are Bush, Cheney et al doing, not to mention a few ceo’s who are most definitely not of a socialist bent, now that they have not only put us in the dumps, but crreated them for us as well. Meathead hasn’t put us in this position, the Republican party has. It’s having it’s own big party and fiddling away while they allow the rest of us to watch the country burn. I’m guessing Cheney’s mansion and the Bush ranch are quite safe.

I forgot to mention…Sandy Berger got a complete pass in the media for stealing sensitive national archives documents to cover up for Hillary and her husband. All-wrong got a total pass for allowing Rwanda to happen while she debated the meaning of the word genocide…What about all the Rose law firm files that SUDDENLY turned up in the white house years after being requested (after they had been properly sanitized of course)…what about when Clinton dumped all the federal prosecutors appointed by Bush 41…what about Monica…What about PAULA JONES FOR GOODNESS sake? Come on people…we want four more years of that? Bill let us get attacked 7 times with hardly any response (lobbed a missile or two…didnt work obviously) while he rushed us into BOSNIA of all places! WE HAVE NOT BEEN ATTACKED SINCE 9/11 BECAUSE OF THE POLICIES OF THIS ADMINISTRATION AND THE BRAVE EFFORTS OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN UNIFORM AROUND THE WORLD. Treating terrorism as a law enforcement matter was the Clinton approach and got us attacked. Bush made the right choices…we are safer than before (Sorry New York Times). VOTE FOR GIULIANI if you want us to stay safe and prosperous.

You guys say Hillary has no resume yet your front-runner is Fred Thompson because he acts purty good on Law & Order.
You talking about Bill’s cheating ways yet there is 3X-divorcee Giuiliani, McCain has been divorced (guess he’s not a hero as a husband), and Fred has a trophy wife younger than his kids! The only non-cheater is Mitt….

The champions of the underdog, but of course. They have such a hard life, just look at the abject poverty they suffer. Berger did get a pass as did Chinagate, but Watergate is celebrated annually as a cause celeb of their mantra of habituation and programming. Why does it take a defector to say what no one has the courage to say:
“…Chinese intelligence penetration of the American establishment became known …thanks to press reports about the handing of U.S. nuclear secrets to Beijing’s communist leadership and the use of Chinese intelligence funds to assist the election campaigns of America’s liberal-left politicians…”

There is one big difference big difference between next year’s campaign and the one that the aspiring ‘First Rapist’ ran in 1992….he ran against an incumbent President who campaigned cleanly and perhaps just too politely for his own good…..and we all gave Slick the benefit of the doubt since most of us didn’t know nearly enough about him….we will not make that mistake this time around having seen Rodham in action for many years now….she will not be treated like a ‘lady’ by those of us who are politically active at various levels…and since we also know she has no intention of fighting cleanly or fairly, she will not have the advantage of a naive and silent grass roots base opposition….she will be treated as what we now know her to be…

Americans have short memories. They have already forgotten 9-11. Of course the Liberals don’t have any memories at all. They think that the Clinton years were glorious years for America, what with Mrs. Clinton as first lady and her husband – what’s his face, you know, that guy who raped Juanita Broaderick and groped Kathleen Willey, and who had NO SEX with Monica Lewinsky – yea that guy being the occupant of the oval office. Do they think that a democrat like clinton will give them slack if the government takes over our private decisions?
Who are these people who think that they deserve to take our hard earned fruits of our labor and hand it out to the non workers? And where did their authority come from that gives the govt the right to steal our money to waste on those who don’t work.

It just seems to be that Hillary is willing to sell out to whom ever will pay her the highest buck. If you follow her “career” (I doubt she has ever gotten her hands dirty “working”, let alone changed a diaper on her own kid) She has consistently hitched herself to whichever person, organization or group would propel her into the limelight.
It is entirely true to say she has no credible qualifications to hold any elected office, except the ability to get money out of people who otherwise might not give it to her.
Based on her statements it sounds like a huge tax increase is headed our way first quarter of the year, if she is elected.
Just remember the largest tax increase in the history of the country occurred with her husband, weeks after taking office, and it was rettro-active to before he was sworn in.
The simple fact is that she is the moral equivalent of a street walker looking for a john.

It wasn’t 9/11. It was a to-be-expected, seasonal fire in a community that is NOT Rob Reiner’s home.

Meat Head, the famous actor??? Becky has it right, that Clinton has no qualifications to run for President, all she wants to do is buy votes, and transfer our money to the poor of America. What are her qualifications? She hoodwinked the stupid idiots of NY to put her as their senator, though there are too many in the rest of the country who value their freedoms to do everything in their power to not put that Socialistic in office.

Apples and Oranges dear! The article you refer talks about asking people like you and I for contributions through the mail or otherwise. It even mentions John Edwards doing the same thing. You look foolish by comparing the two events; #1. Asking supporters for $5-$25 through the mail. #2. Throwing a birthday bash with a bunch of hollywood elitists to raise oodles of money.

Doesn’t anyone ever wonder why the Clinton’s were not prosecuted for all the items they stole and had to return to the White House when they left office? No, 9/11 happened and all their corruption (Marc Rich, campaign money laundering etc. etc. etc.) swept under the rug. Now Hue…return to their old habits and the media doesn’t raise an eyebrow. If Obama’s numbers start to rise he’ll be so blindsided by the Clinton’s he won’t know what hit him. I only pray the Republicans will realize Rudy is the only hope of stopping the Clinton Corruption Machine!

Gunter – way to drive my point home by opening your argument with a childish dig. Did I say I like her personally? She’s a graduate of YALE LAW. She was listed as one of the one hundred most influential lawyers in America in 1988 and 1991. Way back in 1969, before she or her husband-to-be jumped onto the political scene, she was the first student to speak at commencement exercises at Wellesly.
So, yeah, she’s pretty much still as intelligent as I think.
Yes, people are free to express their true feelings in any form they like – its the beauty of free speech – but people are also free to assume you haven’t surpassed playground communication skills when you write as eloquently as you do Gunter.

I may say some things that offend hillary supporters but I encourage you to google and verify if you really want to know.
The American people are the best informed and well intentioned (except w Uncle Bill) voters in the world. Most here remember Deans meltdown. I think back to Ted Kennedys meltdown in 1979. ted, as you may recall allowed a young girl to drown rather than get caught cheating on his wife. He was much more popular w hardcore Democratic rank and file (you know the ones) than Carter. It was Jimmas people that reminded the American public about Mary Jo.
The same will happen with Hillary. Her knowing her husbands a serial cheater and putting up w it her whole life. The law firms records magically showing up in the most secure residence in the world. Invest 10m, make 100m(in 3 days). The secretive health care fiasco. And my favorite, the clintons stealing the furniture and other objects from the White House (which they were ordered to retun and did so). Think about it. A gift to Abraham Lincoln donated over 200 years ago to the White House and hillary decides to steal it and put it on the toliet tank in her 3rd bathroom in Chappaqudic. Don’t panic Republicans. democrats attitude is if I can’t have it, no one else in my party can have it either. The reminders, the smears, and the truths will all come from Edwards (Obama would sell his soul to be VP). Ed

I endured 8 years under the Clinton hypocrisy presidency. My husband refused the congratulatory letter for his 20 years of military service, because he retired while President Clinton was in office. I firmly believe now after listening to Mrs Clinton that her husband is just a poor dumb puppet who happened to marry a woman with the political aspirations of “I don’t care who I have to hurt to achieve the highest office in the land”.
Bill was scary. “Hellary” will be our worst nightmare if elected.

People who takes their political advice from those that don’t even have a college education are beyond me. They diss Bush and call him “stupid”, yet he finished at Yale, but they didn’t even finish High School.
I am not a Bush fan, but anyone with half a brain can see that the Liberal agenda is no friend to the poor and actually makes the American dream unattainable for those in the lower or middle class. It does, however, protect those that are already rich–and keeps them rich–while the others are left to flounder in sinking sand.
Wake up, America. The Clintons are funded by the Chinese–the Chinese are trying to take over the US–and they are succeeding–because people want “nice”, people want “free things” and people are inherintely lazy.
I like how one person put it–in America, “No Workie, No Eatie”

No one is asking how 940 plus FBI files of Clinton era ‘enemies’ found their way into her study and no one is challenging her assertions that they magically appeared in what is supposed to be the most secure place on earth. Given the lefts’ aversion to religion, one has to wonder why they have not yet questioned that particular miracle.
Neither the left or the MSM seems to care that a panicked Senator Clinton agreed to paying $10,000 a month to South Carolina state Senator Darrell Jackson for his endorsement of the Senator from New York. It seems Jackson decided he liked Senator Clinton more than he did John Edwards, notwithstanding his statements to the contrary.
It is understandable the left hopes voters forget the $400,000 Hillary Clinton’s brother was paid in the last minute pardons granted by Bill Clinton on his way out the White House door.
The New York Senator also hopes you’ll forget Clinton confidant David Geffen’s insider observations of the Clinton Clan- “Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it’s troubling.
With help of an adoring and fawning leftist base and willing media, Hillary Clinton wants you to note her piety, notwithstanding her longstanding record of deceit.

How “Mrs. Clinton” can generate a single vote outside of New York and L.A. is beyond me. The problem is that the traditional media – i.e. major networks, news magazines and national newspapers, major movie studios are just about 100% pro-liberal democrat and 100% anti-any Republican. Why any “regular American i.e. anyone other than a handful of elitests supports the traditional media is beyond me. You want to strike a blow against these elitests?
(1) Stay away from the media that doesn’t support your point of view.
(2) Support the call for a conservative network.

I appreciate your quick bio of Hillary, however an educational pedigree doesn’t necessarily equate to a membership in Mensa. Many of my fellow graduate students of the University of Pittsburgh have similar accomplishments to their credit, however that doesn’t mean that I’d trust them to watch my dog, let alone watch my country.
The difference between her paper trail and the rest of us is having the $$ to attend these prestigious halls of higher learning. The name of the school on the document doesn’t equate with brilliance, it only reveals available finances.
Secondly, you are correct in that you are free to make assumptions in regard to peoples playground writing skills.

SITA – Hillary is not that intelligent or she wouldn’t have married Bill in the first place! The guy cheated on her for years in Arkansas, made a fool out of her with all those women while in the White House and also Hillary panders to whatever audience she talks to.
Do you know she has solicited funds from groups with TERRORIST ties?? That is why Jewish groups will not have anything to do with her, they know this.
So because she was the First Lady, she should also be President??? Okay, then I’d elect Laura Bush over her, I’d say she is way more QUALIFIED.

Actually, Thompson was a successful lawyer in Nashville (unlike Hillary who never managed over 32K/yr), former US attorney a successful actor and a two-term senator.
Unlike Hillary, he never had to play doormat to an unfaithful spouse, never had to explain why missing billing records appeared outside her door in the Whitehouse and has better sense than to hire Sandy Berger to run his campaign

Well I think Archie Bunker had him pegged from the start. Meathead use to carry the brown leather purse and where thougs, he probably raised his little finger when he drank. All I can say the winds from the fire didn’t blow in the right direction that night. The only thing that came out of that night is that I realized I still think straight. When the fruitcakes and the wicked witch of the east get together and I’m not invited, I’m on the right side of the fence!

Really B.Samuel Davis
really
who has paid for her “QUALIFICATION”
the taxpayers
Let her be elected and when the life you live that is full of freedoms comes crashing down dont come around make it on your own. she is Caustic in her actions and awash in with treachery
I wouldnt let her decide what toilet paper to buy let alone run a WORLD POWER
and if the Speaker of the House is any signal as to the democratic conciseness
A vote on Armenian Genocide (that was decided in 1922 as Genocide) was a waste of taxpayers money and as the vote was taken changed her mind. If this is an example of Your call for international diplomacy experience the country is in worse shape than imagined.

The “conservative” soreheads on this thread are a pack of deluded losers. I say “conservative” because most of you seem to have no clue what conservatism means: fiscal restraint, avoidance of public debt, avoidance of foreign military intervention and honesty & accountability in government. The current GOP has crapped on every one of these ideals. Ironically, Bill Clinton was a better president in traditional conservative terms than Bush. He supported free trade and generated huge surpluses that helped pay down the national debt. Under Clinton, middle-class incomes grew in real terms for the first time since 1973. Bush is more of a Socialist than any president since FDR. He didn’t veto a single spending bill in 6 years. Aside from his failed $1 Trillion dollar war (borrowed from the Chinese), his drug plan is the biggest entitlement plan since LBJ. And it forbids price competition – it’s a total sellout to the drug companies! And what do you call the handouts, subsidies and no-bid contracts to the oil companies, ethanol plants and military contractors? Corporate socialism, that’s what. The Bush neocons think it’s just fine to borrow $2 Billion every day from China – total idiocy. You 29%ers can whine and moan all you want. You’ve had your day, and you failed. THE MAJORITY – THINKING CONSERVATIVES (real Conservatives, that is) AND LIBERALS – KNOW BETTER, THEY’RE TICKED, AND THEY WILL TAKE THE COUNTRY BACK. GET USED TO IT.

Just a bunch of narrow minded, selfish idiots posting here.
It’s ok to line your own pockets or your own social organizations but not all; you don’t want to be taxed but you don’t mind using all of the country’s combined budget to borrow from the Chinese and driving up a deficeit.
And… Corporate America raises millions of dollars for candidates, but somehow the ‘elite’ are not suppose to pull their collaborative political will together.
I guess you all just need a forum to spew your Republican hate.

I love the comments here. In my mind’s eye, I can just see these little beady-eyed right-wingers with their Archie Bunker mentalities soiling themselves in angst and ignoring the fact that the Republican Party trails the Democrats in the polls on virtually every issue, especially the stupid war in Iraq, which is opposed even by dozens of retired generals. And now the GOP faces the possibility that its theocratic wing is going to break away because the party’s candidates are not quite wacky enough. I love it!

this is the harbinger to come if hillary is elected. She doesn’t give a rats patootie for anyone that cannot do something for her. All of her grandiose plans to help women are just a ploy. I always ask to check out what bill said he would do if he were elected and then check out what he did? nothing for the common folk that is for sure. If you had plenty of money, that was a different story.
I agree if hillary is elected the country will become socialist. There will be her ‘elite’ group, and us, the ‘common’ folk. read about feudal times, and yes, that will be us.

Hey Donna,
Stop comparing to Bush. He isn’t the candidate. Mrs. Clinton isn’t running against Bush. She and the rest of you socialist better start campaigning against the people you are running against. Also you can’t run on anger. Do one of you have any positions or policies? Hate and anger will only get you so far. Remember she already has 54% negatives. I voted for her husband twice. He was qualified being a governor where he ran a whole state. You need to open your eyes and see past the hate and see what is best for your country.
Start thinking positively. That’s what American wants.

It’s actually hilarious that Bush/Cheneyites whine about Hollywood liberals giving money to Democratic candidates.
The GOP has lots of rich, loyal Hollywood contributors of its own. Jerry Weintraub, the producer of ‘Ocean’s 11′, for instance. He’s been a close friend of Bush 41 for years, and a big financial supporter. And the most powerful guy in Hollywood, Rupert Murdoch. Major campaign contributor, and unpaid propaganda minister for the Neocon right through Fox News and the Wall Street Journal.
Ands many more besides. But these guys somehow don’t count, because It’s OK If You’re a Republican (IOKYAR).

Re: James Strup | Oct 22, 2007 2:36:25 PM
You’re trying to change the terms of the debate. I’ll grant that Bush is not running. But not a single leading Republican candidate (Ron Paul is on the fringe and has been disowned by the GOP mainstream and the conservative media) has repudiated any of Bush’s policies, foreign or domestic. Every one of them supports the status quo on Iraq, military action against Iran and the continuation of Borrow & Spend at home. All of them are grovelling to the Christian right, all of them support neo-activist conservative judges on the federal bench & Supreme Court. None of them have any new ideas on health care that challenge the profits, overhead and bloated bureaucracy of the insurance industry.
If the current GOP field is different from Bush, I’d seriously like to know how.

Yes, the Republican candidates are talking about Hillary. I believe she’s running for President, is she not?
George Bush on the other hand. I don’t think he’s running for anything. This shows that once more, when you have nothing to say, Blame Bush. It unites all the socialists.

Hillary with no background. Let me see- Now Pres Bush as draft dodger, Reagan an actor best known for bedtime for Bonzo. You know something- you folks are nothing but vicious hiding behind your little computers spouting pseudo political thoughts. This is a two party system that tremendously needs to come back to the center- away from liberalism and conservatism. Both sides are poision for this country. Get a life and find some work to do. Stay away from the computer screen and do something for society besides whinning about how bad you have it.

Lets all just wear little yellow labels for our party affiliation so we know how to attack each other cause we are that simple. Does anyone else see anything wrong with a Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton presidential order? Very democratic…………and I guess this makes me Liberal. When elected officials pay attention to Polls after the fact this country may return to a better status. Until then, the rich will get richer and the poor will go to war with our all volunteer army that needs to forcibly keep soldiers and reduce standards. JEB for President!!!

Instead of partying with Meathead she should have had concern for the people that were trying to save their lives and homes. It would have been a perfect campaign opt to go out with the firemen and the residents and get out there and lend support and help in some way. Then she would have seemed like one of the people instead of one of the upper class elites that we all know she really is. That is the difference between her and Bill. He is smart enough to see a political advantage and grasp it and at least make it seem like he cared. She could give a damn. At least someone had their nose up her butt and was making her feel important.
Aside from her bad politics that is why we still like her husband and could care less about her.
Ms Trump I’m not changing the terms of the debate. Reality is the terms of the debate and Hillary doesn’t live in the real world.
She better start running against Rudy instead of Bush who isn’t running.

If we do not have a common foreign enemy to fight–we fight each other–what a legacy! Do you actully think our forefathers and mothers would be proud of the crap we spout in these blogs. No wonder we are in so much a mess. Remember this, be gentle- be kinder -as we all have the same problems that we must deal with every day. Hillery has never run a business, never run a state government, corrupted the White House, Lied her ugly face off saying she didn’t know about Bill many sex scandals, murdered Vince Foster and Ron Brown, and likely Paul Wellstone too. sHillary is the epitome of selfish evil and if she steals the election, freedom will be “History” and communizm will reign.
Liberalizm is an indoctrination to Communizm’s prelude of Socializm, which must be completely eradicated for the good of freedom, democracy, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Places like Brietbart and Drudge wallow in slime and sell it to you, and you swallow it!
Posted by: CC | October 22, 2007, 7:46 pm 7:46 pm
I’ve probably been around longer than most of you commenting. I could say tons about the differences of libs vs. conservatives but, in my lifetime, I’ve seen how this so-called progressiveness has led to the degredation of society in so many ways. Education is probably the worst fiasco but equal is the decline of the family. If you notice, both affects our future generations. And thanks to Hollywood, again our children at risk, they can hear filthy language and see sex acts on the TV. My grandchild was watching an animated film one minute and it was followed by an R-rated movie that I caught just in time. She missed that graphic sex scene by seconds! Then there’s music…oh, bring on the RAP! We are in the toilet, my friends. That’s why the huge religious movement to turn our country around, and it’s name is not “progressive.”
My grandmother, who was born in 1899 and lived to be 99, said, “Our education may have been limited, but not so our learning. In additional to our “3 Rs”, we also learned some of the most basic values of life. A fourth “R” was injected into the early part of our education, but this one was learned at home – respect for our teachers. Failing to be mindful of it at all times could well cause repercussions at home, which were entirely too unpleasant to relate. “Love Thy Neighbor” was taught in the school as well as at home. If I may be permitted a bit of irony, how truly progressive would be our schools if they would progress somewhat backward.”
She wrote this in a letter to her hometown newspaper in 1971.
Maybe this will help the libs understand that it’s more about a vote AGAINST the morally corrupt Hollywood types. The conservatives aren’t perfect, by any stretch, but we’ve got to turn this country around morally or we’re doomed for sure. Sure, there are many more equally vital issues to address like protection for the unborn, homeland security, fair tax for all, borders, environment, etc.
We HAVE to start with ourselves! Preserve us, Lord, that we can be a beacon for good in this world! And that includes defending our fellow human beings from tyranny. Would you stand by and watch your neighbor being brutalized just because you weren’t? Remember, you will be next! Amen

Nice to see Democrat SOCIALites sipping cocktails and trading franklins with Hillary, while their neighbors homes in Malibu burn to the ground.
Is this what Hillary meant by “It takes a village”?
Too bad someone has to suggest that they raise funds to help the victims of the fires in Malibu, before they actually put down their cocktail glass and do so.
If cocktails and happy hour while Americans are forced out of their homes, is any indication of how Hillary and Hollywood responds, then maybe we should be ‘investing’ in a different future president.

Among Rob Reiner’s movies:
When Harry Met Sally
The Princess Bride
Sleepless in Seattle
Stand by Me
Ghosts of Mississippi
This is Spinal Tap
A Few Good Men
He’s made a whole bunch of money by making very good movies that a great many people pay to see. Consider how much you each have contributed to his Hollywood-level wealth by paying to see just those movies listed above. Seems to me he’s done a really good job of being a capitalist. The worshiping Dems should go find him and they could drug themselves into a coma together. And while they sleep, Hollywood will burn. But be comforted knowing that Meathead will drive through the ashes of the homes the fires destroy and bring them birthday cake and sing to their drug infested remains. And the Hillster, well, she will show her them her great gratitude by simply collecting their wallets on her way past their lifeless souls and out the door and slide her collection plate through the charred ruins to prey yet again on unsuspecting financial sheep so she can fill her personal world with her first real love, the almighty dollar.

Oh, my sweet Buddha! Grant me the poise and serenity to overcome the hypocrisy of the scene described to me by this reporter.
After hearing all of the partisan vitriol spewed forth by the Democrats (and ultra Leftists) after Katrina, I find this situation almost too ironic for words. Fact is stranger than fiction.
Wining & Dining as Southern California burns to the ground – the Liberal-dominated Main Stream Media would have had a field day if this were a Republican fund raiser. Bill Maher and Spike Lee would milk it for about 18 months. The Democrats get a pass.
After Katrina, the Republicans were accused of being insensitive and oblivious to the problems of the people of New Orleans. Ludicrous accusations of racism also abounded. But, hey, it’s fashionable to call Republicans cold-hearted, rich White racists.
If given sufficient time, I would outline my disappointment with the previous Clinton Administration, but I will stick to the most glaring deficiencies: its failure to conduct a War On Terror; and its weak and ineffective response to al Qaeda.
Now, the Leftists in Hollywood want to turn the clock back to a cabal which follows in the footsteps of the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Policy. Perhaps the Democrats should trade in their donkey for an ostrich. Eight years of foreign policy failure and they want an encore. Talk about disappointment.
May Buddha grant me the tranquility to endure.

Hillary’s voice is something in the decible range of a leaf-blower. And offends the human eardrum accordingly.
The very thought of having to listen to Hillary’s voice for four years hence is enough to dissuade me not to vote for her, and then there’s her politics after that. Not a pretty picture, nor a pleasant sound, to be found there.

To change et al.:
Count me among those who don’t share your sentiments. As much as I was disappointed by the Foreign Policy short comings of President Bill Clinton, I have never resorted to the use of such derogatory terms.
The current President Bush inherited a huge mess from the Clinton Administration, which following the shortest transition in American history, resulted in the September 11 attacks. Usama bin Laden represented The Clinton Administration’s major piece of unfinished business.
Why aren’t you and other Americans more cognizant of this reality? Why aren’t you expressing anger about President Bill Clinton’s major foreign policy failures? Parlez-vous Oplan Bojinka?
The unhinged Leftists of America need to face reality and re-direct their anger to effect serious change. If Christopher Hitchens could read The Hand Writing On The Wall after September 11, why can’t others come to similar conclusions?
President Bush has made some hard choices based on the State of the Nation that he inherited. Who will have the courage to carry to torch forward? Rudy, Mitt, Fred and John seem up to the task. As Zell Miller isn’t running, I don’t see anyone on the other side of the aisle that appear to have the necessary fortitude.
Respectfully,

Thompson: Pat Sajak; Peyton Manning.
Romney: Pat Boone; Jim Courier; Danny Ainge;

After all, she has been married to a plumber for 30 years…she should be able to fix the pipes!!

I am saddened by the very sad things people write on these comment lists, the lack of respect and human compassion they have for other souls. Whoever, it is that is doing so, I challenge them and simply say, if you are so dissatisfied with America, what are you doing personally to change it? Please share why you are so much better than people who are trying to do something. We are waiting to hear. Please let us know what you have done even today, to make a difference in making this a better world for our children, rather than criticizing and attacking others.
