Romney’s ‘Jihad’ Threat Ad
ABC News’ Matt Stuart Reports: Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney launched a new television ad targeting Islamist fundamentalism in Iowa Friday.
The ad, which can be viewed by clicking here, is titled "Jihad," and claims that "violent, radical Islamist fundamentalism" is "this century’s nightmare." Romney highlights his regular stump claims to "increase the military by 100,000 troops," and in a carefully worded phrase "monitor the calls al Qaeda makes into America."
Romney also tries to tie the threat of Jihad to Iran saying that, "we can and will stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons."
The ad continues Romney’s call for increased military and intelligence funding, and comes as Romney tries to draw increased attention to the one of his key stump issues.
At a campaign stop in Denver Wednesday, Romney said, "I don’t think there is sufficiently broad appreciation of what this means in this nation."

Well at least we know where Mitt stands on the issue of terrorism. That is more than many of the other candidates will publicly stand behind.
gymmy, got a list of the others that recognize that terrorism is the biggest global threat we face today? didn’t think so.

Religious Fanatics – be they Islamic or Christian – any group that preaches intolerance and a strict adherence to their idiology and their beliefs only -while preaching hate to all other beliefs are the threat to the values of our country. There are groups calling for a Christian Jhiad against all not sharing their beliefs here in America today.

Muslims Against Sharia commend Governor Romney for clearly defining the enemy and standing up to Islamist lobby and PC establishment.

Someone had to do it, I suppose. Terrorizing the American public with threats of impending doom and destruction, over-blowing the threat to the specific individual by about six or seven orders of magnitude. It’s too bad he doesn’t have a national terrorist threat alert level he can manipulate for his own political purposes like Bush had. Some interesting statistics – People killed on 9/11: about 3000. People in the US on 9/11: 350,000,000. Best odds of getting killed by a terrorist in any given year: 117,000:1. Number of Americans killed in the US since 2001 by confirmed Jihadist fundamentalists: 0. Odds of dying from the flu in any given year: 16,000:1.
