Cheney Found to Have Irregular Heartbeat

He must have seen the Wizard because he did not have a heart in the past.

I’m a liberal and darned proud of it. But that doesn’t mean I wish harm to the Vice President or his family. I wish him a speedy recovery and for peace and calm for his family during this time of medical uncertainty.

I hope is is well enough to serve a long healthy jail term. I hope he has better medical coverage than most Americans. Guess he doesn’t have to worry too much about paying bills since he is on the government dole just like Halliburton.

My hope is that Mr. Cheney recovers – fully. I disagree – greatly – with the man’s politics, but health wise – do wish him well. My hope would only be that when a human is faced with mortality, he/she tends to view life differently. Perhaps this man will see that several issues he considers important are really unimportant and that something as simple as a step forward and accept his gay daughter publically; not discriminating against her life-choice, will do so much good for so many people in the United States. As much as many will hate to admit, a conservative like Mr. Cheney accepting his gay daughter publically, would stem so much hatred! Many Angry Christian men would see love, especially the love of a child, should never, never be compromised.

OK, here’s a real news-worthy question… Are the late night shows still on strike? This is priceless and I want to make sure to set my TiVo for Letterman.

This is going to sound cold-hearted and I don’t mean it that way, but why is this such an issue? My husband has an irregular heartbeat and it needed treatment, passed out at work, was off work for a month, started taking medication and has been fine for the past 5 years, except for the occurrence of even more heart related troubles. Loads of American Citizens have heart related trouble, especially men of any advanced age! Politicians are celebrities and I really get tired of being privy to all their private things. And, please, don’t tell me to not read it….you can’t help but see the story when you scan the headlines and it’s not like he was in critcal condition…he just has some testing and may need some minor work done!

Ahhhhh!! He actually has a heart! And there happen to be a lot of men his age who also have irregular heart beats; but probably not the same healthcare.
Do ya think, he is going to resign and let someone else (heir apparent maybe??) sit in his seat for a year.

Seems like he’s treated pretty well by a government health system. I wonder how many of the 45 Mil. w/o insurance have a heart problem today, and can’t get seen by a doctor, much less admitted to a hospital?

Has anyone checked the heartbeat of American democracy lately? It’s much worse than Cheney’s…he’s made sure of that.

We all have heart problems today. I have a sad heart watching my 3 college age children try to afford tuition and room and board. My salary is hardly enough to pay all of my bills much less help them. People aren’t vindictive or mean-spirited, they just need to tell it like it is. Cheney has brought destruction and injury to so many people in so many ways from the corporate greed of Halliburton and Enron to his Napoleonic complex and the need to prove himself a man by going to war. After Bush pardons those in his administration he was going to resign so Cheney could pardon him. Cheney had better hang in there.

What can I say that hasn’t been said? I do not wish ill on anyone and I hope he gets better. With that said, I can’t help but wonder about the millions of others without health insurance who have a similar problem but no way to get help. I hope that Mr. Cheney will think of those as he gets better. (He probably won’t – sad but true.)

hating someone wont get you anywhere friends . i dislike the man and his political identity but he is a man like you and i,frail and finite and deserves more than the hateful vitriolic words that are tossed around much too flippantly in this “discussion” (more like a cheney roast …).
compassion and empathy are words that need to be put in to practical use more often today , please think how his family must feel? how he must be feeling? how would you feel? i bet you ALL would be scared ,at least somewhat.

anyway, i dont believe either dick cheney or gw bush are inherently bad people in the first place ,they are just misguided and inept,among other things but i still dont wish bad on them .
i dont agree with them ,but that is no basis to hate someone or wish ill upon them ,imho.
