Clinton Camp Admits To Planting Questions
ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: The Clinton campaign has admitted to planting questions in Iowa. They have confirmed that a campaign staffer approached a student to ask Sen. Clinton a question about global warming during a campaign stop at a biodiesel plant in Newton, Iowa, on Nov. 6.
The story was first reported by Patrick Caldwell, a junior at Grinnell College and the features editor of The Scarlet and Black college newspaper. He reported that student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff was approached by the campaign to ask a question. She told the reporter that "they wanted a question from a college student." She also said that she "noted that staffers prompted Clinton to call on her and another who had been approached before the event, although Clinton used her discretion to select questions and called on people who had not been prepped beforehand. Some of the questions asked were confusing and clearly off-message."
Clinton Campaign spokesperson Mo Elleithee tells ABC News that "on this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about Sen. Clinton’s energy plan at a forum. However, Sen. Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again."
The staffer still remains with the Clinton campaign and they would not reveal his or her name. The campaign did not comment on whether this is the only time they have planted questions among audience members.
Last month Clinton got into a tough exchange with Iowan Randall Rolph at an event in New Hampton, Iowa. She accused him of being a plant from another campaign and the two engaged in a heated back and forth. The exchange prompted extended media coverage.

Those Dorothy Dix type questions for Hilary Clinton; in the Australian Parliament every day in Question Time every second question is one that the receiver knows is coming. They’re usually written it! It’s a great way to damage the opposition party and make yourself look good by being on message consistently.

I love how she accuses Mr. Rolph as a plant. She gets hit with a serious question, and all of a sudden its a plant? Isn’t funny how people accuse others for what they themselves are doing.

Hillary will win the nomination regardless of what he thinks or the others that make comments about her. She also has the best chance of becoming president. So, face the facts. When that happens, you can start by biting your nails first then hit your head against the wall. This is how life is you lose some and you win some. Things don’t always turn out the way you want them. There are downfalls in life just deal with them.

I think it’s wrong for Bush to pad his seats with friendly’s at speeches and I think it’s wrong for people to plant friendlies to ask them questions. What’s worse is those who dismiss it as OK because “everyone does it”. I wish the American voters would wake up and make wholesale changes in the system. The only way to do that is to vote incumbents out of office. It sends a big message.

Hillary can do no wrong in the blinded eyes of the media and those under the influence of tv opinion. Hill and Bill’s cohorts have been jailed with the Clintons receiving absolutely nothing from the Whitewater dealings during the Clintonian rule. Now, they have been caught in multiple fundraising scams with NO punishment AND if ANY OTHER candidate would have endorsed giving $5,000 to all US born babies, they would have been condemned and thrown from the ballots. Most qualified? So she says! Just how much time has the Junior senator “of” New York spent in Washington at all of roll calls and voting on issues that face the US daily? Barely any because she is out stumping for President of the US. The only thing that qualifies the Junior senator “of” New York is all of those frequent flier miles. Please America, open up your eyes, I beg of you.

I’ve had it with people talking about how “smart” Hillary is. Well, get this: it isn’t smart to simply assume that
voters are all so stupid/naive/gullible
that they’ll all believe what she says and continue to support her– no matter HOW many times she flip-flops or waffles on important issues. Most of us are paying close attention to what she says– and many are beginning to see through her ambiguity. A whole year remains before the 2008 elections– Hillary doesn’t “already have the DEM nomination,” much less the presidency. More and more people will figure her out– and there’s plenty of time for her to self-destruct.

Clintons? Bushes? What are we, back in England? This country does not have a monachy!! We need to wise up and get BOTH of these families out of American politics. It’s painfully obvious they are both in it for their own personal benefits. We need some NEW blood in there. Someone who hasn’t been completely tainted by special interest groups. I’m voting for Barack Obama. They say he “doesn’t have the experience”. But given our horrible choices of “experienced” people, I’m going with the new guy who can hopefully turn this thing around. He’s the only guy who can provide HOPE, which might go a long way these days.

Why is Hillary getting flack for this?
President Bush’s questions are always highly staged and controlled so that nothing surprising or that he can’t practice the answer for can be asked.
Why do Democrats always get ‘busted’ while Repubs do the same things, only worse, and none of the corporate-republican-controlled press says a word about the manipulations of Bush?

Now padding the audience to make sure she gets the questions she wants asked. I’m so sure this has never happened before and never will again. I’m also sure the stock market will make a comeback on Monday and be up, oh to record highs no less. And Bush will recall all the troops on Tuesday as well. Then on Wednesday the budget will balance & we will hear someone discovered many billions of dollars in a savings account that will put our country back in the black. When Hillary appeared at a Q&A session in Charlottesville, VA., she specifically asked that 1/4th the time be allocated to questions from the audience. I was one of those questioners, and queried her rather intensely about whether she would return Bush’s ill-gotten power grabs back to the other two branches of government.
No one prompted me, or even asked me what my question was before handing me the microphone. That she ‘planted’ a question about global warming in the audience is not necessarily inappropriate. She just should have noted it as such when she began answering it.

Her “staffer” is the one that set it up and it was a good decision, in my opinion. They didn’t leave to chance something that should have been discussed. Hillary is a politician and a very smart one and yet she retains a bit of humanism and true concern for our people and our planet. Unlike many other politicians who care only about lining their pockets at the expense of the people and the planet. I believe in Hillary and I believe she can make a difference just as Bill Clinton made a difference. All we’ve had since his Presidency is outright corruption, lies, and cronyism of the worst sort. So many men are afraid of a woman President and they will do and say whatever it takes to denigrate her. Well, I say it’s time to let a woman get control of the HOUSE because it’s in a pretty big mess right now and the best man for the job is a woman. GO HILLARY! This country needs you and your First Man! Clinton in 08!

Visit bookstores to see all the books available to see the “true” Hillary. Take some time to read and listen. It is so important that we stay informed on all those on both sides of the aisle. Our very survival depends on us, not on our congressmen, our president now or the one to come. Who do we trust? As a well-known talk radio person has said, “Trust in God.”

Looks like Hill’s campaign is in trouble when you have Bill covering for
Hill. Will he also admit in the future in the event that Bin Laden will be able
to execute another 9-11 during a Hill administration ? The Clintons will never
be able to earn the trust of 50% of the voters, as more lies and illicit
tactics are coming out and they have to admit when caught with their pants
down. Just read about planted questions from audience in Iowa that was exposed
recently. How many more times need they be caught before the people will
finally accept that they are congenital conjugal liars and repudiate them.
People should remember that Hill has an elephantine memory who can’t
forgive those she hated. She is the only first lady who did not attend Pat
Nixon’s funeral because she hated Dick so much, and yet she carries that hate
to someone who had done her no wrong except just being married to a President
she wants to impeach. How ironic that it is she who was ask to pay the price of
getting humiliated when Bill become the only 2nd president to be ever impeached
! That must have been the way how the gods paid her back !

Clinton lovers won’t care about this. This kind of thing only matters if a republican does it. Socialists are never considered hypocrites, so her supporters could care less what she does. She’s the democrat nominee and represents the democrats and their party. Everything you see in Hillary now, or the lack of it, is exactly a small fraction of what we will actually experience if Hillary seizes power of the country with the lockstep Clinton worshiping democrat congress and senate. She’s proven that she really is the lesser of the two Clintons and had it not been for her letting him cheat on her during their whole sham of a marriage, she would never have amounted to much more that a lawyer with criminal tendencies. Democrats love Clintons though. Can’t get enough of them. At least the era of Bush is over, for now I guess. Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton… We seem to get dumber each election.

Reading the comment posts, I cant help think “these people are going to vote?” Jeez sounds more like a bunch of whining 3rd graders. And that it’s “news” about planting questions? Bush planted the questions, the audience, and had goons to “escort” non-believers away from his speaking events…did ABC raise a stink about that? Nope! The MSM are going to make mountains out of molehills wherever the Clintons are concerned…and even though I’m pretty sick of the whole B-C-B-C presidential era…I get a kick watching the neocon fringe going crazy about the Clintons.
Posted by: Mcspikev | November 10, 2007, 11:12 am 11:12 am
Big deal! The campaigner wanted a question asked so that Clinton could have an opportunity to address a certain issue. It wasn’t like they instructed the audience not to ask certain questions or stage the entire audience with Clinton’s supprters like the idiot in the White House did when he was campaigning.

First, speaking as someone who will support the Democratic nominee in 2008, it was dishonest, manipulative and wrong for the Clinton campaign to plant questioners in a supposedly free forum. While in degree the transgression pales in comparison to a sitting administration hosting a fake press conference about an actual natural disaster, in principle it is the same dirty trick. Clinton supporters who refuse to acknowledge this are not helping the party or our country.
Far more astonishing, though, are those comments condemning Clinton while failing to acknowledge the extraordinary, orchestrated and unprecedently harmful deceptions of the Bush administration. The pre-9/11 mentality pervasive in these anti-Clinton comments — the failure to recognize the disparity in proportion and harm between the wrongs of the Clinton and Bush administrations — will amaze future historians.
Let’s assume that the worst things you think about the Clintons are actually true (aside from killing Vincent Foster; if you believe that you are beyond reach). Let’s assume they committed fraud in order to lose money in the Whitewater investment deal, despite the fact that a federal investigation spanning years of labor and millions of taxpayer dollars yielded no evidence of this fact. Let’s acknowledge that Bill Clinton’s affairs, particularly the Monica Lewinsky matter, were an embarrassment to that family and the country. Let’s even assume that Bill Clinton’s careful parsing of his relationship with Lewinsky in a sworn deposition in a civil lawsuit unrelated to his performance in office was a highly technical example of perjury, although most legal experts at the time said such an incidence would almost never be prosecuted. Let’s say Hillary Clinton really did intentionally hide a box of records from her law firm that showed evidence of — what, overbilling or something? Let’s assume that there was some patronage involved in the Travelgate affair.
Let’s go on and on and admit to every unproven molehill that was investigated by federal officials and splattered across the front pages of newspapers across the country for eight years. How can any of these evils compare with what the Bush administration has perpetrated on the country since?
Clinton didn’t do anything about terrorism? In the late 1990s, he undertook a major bombing campaign against Iraq that likely wiped out whatever remained of Saddam Hussein’s major weapons capacity. He also responded to attacks on American embassasies in Africa by destroying suspected terrorist facilities in Sudan and Afghanistan, perhaps missing Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan by a matter of minutes.
How did today’s “war on terror” folks respond to Clinton’s military actions at the time? Almost universally, they accused him of “wagging the dog” — undertaking military campaigns to distract people from the “substantive” issue of his being impeached for receiving an Oval Office blow job. Clinton’s efforts to protect the nation against terrorists and dictators were severely undermined by a lack of political support, which virtually handcuffed any more aggressive activity against Bin Laden, whom most Americans hadn’t even heard of at the time.
All this aside, when intelligence agencies warned the administration of a potential devastating domestic terrorist attack around New Year’s 2000, the entire federal government went on alert, capturing a terrorist at the Candian border and averting a major West Coast attack. As it was leaving office, the Clinton administration was formulating an aggressive offensive against al Qaeda — which was promptly placed on the back burner when Bush took office. See Richard Clarke’s book, “Against All Enemies,” for details from a high-level antiterrorism administrator who served in several administrations of both parties.
What did Bill Clinton do for the country? In addition to balancing the budget, reforming welfare, contributing to a major reduction in violent crime, lifting the standard of living for millions of Americans, and presiding over a period of relative peace, he left office with the United States a highly regarded, respected and even liked nation by countries and peoples around the world.
The Bush administration’s failures in the war on terrorism are well enough documented. Osama Bin Laden, who oversaw the Sept. 11 attacks on our country, remains at large, and basically left to his own devices, more than six years later. Afghanistan, which we rightfully invaded with world support to rout the Taliban, has made virtually no political, economic or military progress since we all but abandoned that country to invade Iraq. We and many other nations broke our promises to rebuild that country, and we are paying the price.
There are numerous books detailing Bush’s failures in Iraq, most notably “Fiasco,” by Thomas Ricks. The bulk of the hundreds of sources for this book are not liberal navel-gazers but members of our military, from the highest to the lowest ranks. I have seen nothing even attempting to rebut the general conclusions of this work.
Domestically, Bush’s policies have plunged us back into debt (much of which is owned by the Chinese and Suadis), increased the disparity between rich and poor, and increased the number of Americans without health insurance. Regulatory agencies have been stocked with people representing the industries they were supposed to be regulating. It’s been recently revealed that leaders of the government agency responsible for monitoring toy safety (in the wake of the recall of millions of lead-laden toys made in China) were receiving free travel and gifts from the corporations they were supposed to regulate. That scandal alone, which was essentially buried in the press, puts to shame any improprieties of the Clinton administration. And to accuse Hillary Clinton of setting up her public appearances when Bush from the get-go has stacked his audiences with only his most ardent hand-picked supporters — tossing out and even arresting opponents who tried to get into his events — is the height of either delusion or hypocrisy.
I could go on about Abu Ghraib, which alone has probably created more terrorists than we’ve managed to kill in the past six years; the secret erosion of our privacy and civil liberties; the fact that this president (or the next one — maybe Hillary) can now declare any one of us an enemy combatant and disappear us from our lives and families with no legal recourse forever; the fact that the attorney general of the United States lied and obfuscated before Congress to the point that he was forced to resign; the fact that the vice president has connections to a company, Haliburton, that received billions of dollars in no-bid contracts for work in Iraq, some of which proved to be subpar at best. And I would just be clearing my throat for what has happened to the country since 2001. I didn’t even mention the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina. Or the fact that the world, which overflowed with warmth and compassion for the United States after Sept. 11, now considers us a global pariah.
But, please, let’s not worry about any of that. Let’s remember that Hillary Clinton tried to reform health care in the 1990s and couldn’t pull it off. Let’s speculate about whether she’s a lesbian. Let’s elevate a dishonest and ill-advised tactic of planting a supporter in an open forum into the height of political deception. Let’s go back to the good old days when we had the luxury of persecuting a president who could govern, manage, delegate, and conduct diplomacy with skill and poise but couldn’t keep it in his pants.
Now that I think about it, I understand the nostalgia of those who still consider Whitewater to be the worst scandal ever perpetrated on the American people. Those were heady times, when the missteps of the most powerful person in the world didn’t hurt anyone but himself and those closest to him, instead of endangering the world.

According to Despair, it doesn’t matter what the Democrats do, because whatever that is, it’s obviously better than Bush! BDS at its worst. This didn’t work for the Dems in 2004 when they thought that no matter how bad their candidate was, he should still beat Bush, because they mistakenly believed that everyone hated Bush as much as they did. In psychological terms, it’s called projection.

Such doom and gloom, I think the Netherlands is a perfect place for the “please don’t harm me, here is my lunch money” liberals like yourself. Your idol, Mr. Bill sat cowering in ofice with who knows who while a nation that was already brought to it’s knees (under the Sr. Mr. Bush’s cabinet) shoved their fingers up our noses and waxed with boldness every day of your hero’s day in office. So the Slick thing to to was avoid the bad bullies and CUT the military to pieces. People like you should we welcomed with open arms by China, North Korea, or any other American hating country. To Mariann Pepitone: Well, don’t get your hopes TOO far up Mariann. If Clinton wins the election, you can defeinlty bet that the Republicans will take back Congress two years later (2010) just as they did when her husband was in office. For Hillary to keep her Congress, she would have to be wildly popular which I hardly believe she will be.

Do you think people like Despair even realize that Halliburton also got no-bid contracts in the Bosnian war?
I think it’s so funny how he/she managed to get in “hurrican katrina,” “abu ghraib,” “civil liberties, lack of health insurance, etc. all in response to an article that had nothing to do with Bush!
Gosh, Despair, I really miss those days before Bush, when the rivers flowed with milk and honey and the skies rained pomegranate juice.

If Senator Hillary Clinton wins the nomination and gets elected in 2008 as president, and gets re-elected in 2012, it would mean a 28 consecutive either Bush or Clinton family have been in the White House. Add the 8 years Bush senior served as vice president.
Is this the example a matured democracy like the United States want to send to the rest of the world? Wake up America!

Dishonesty is just not a presidential quality that many Americans admire. and let there be no mistake about it, this behavior is not only disingenuous it is unmistakably dishonest. Although this abstract type of dog and pony show may be acceptable in Washington’s corrupt Congressional atmosphere it is inappropriately laughable during a presidential campaign. I am however real confident that no matter what anyone says or does at this point Mrs. Clinton will be thrust by the national delegates into the next presidential seat.
The same evil forces that put George W. Bush in office illegitimately will see to it the momentum gained in regard to their globalization efforts will not hit wayside. Who better to carry on their new world order objectives than the wife of America’s free trade founder Bill Clinton.
Because of the sad reality that the world supply of oil is almost history, the direction we take as a increasingly globalized nation will no doubt motivate a very interesting political arena. As America begins to suffer the ill effects of an inevitable depression politics will take on a whole new dimension domestically and internationally.

It was a clumsy PR move, and PR flacks don’t always make wise decisions.
While I agree that Hillary is a phony- they all are. I think Hillary’s values reflect my own more than anyone else in the race except for Kucinich, who hasn’t got a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting the nod.

For all the apologists for Hillary who are commenting, the point is that this is a pattern. Were it just this one thing, it would be fairly inconsequential.
And for the record, they are not “all” phony. Say what you want about Bush, but most of know where he stands on issues. Same for Guiliani.

What do you expect, Bush has been doing this for years and has gone so far as to restrict anyone that did not have a ticket or was seemingly unfriendly to him and his polices in an 8 block perimeter. I am waiting for either a Democrat, Republican or Independent candidate who is professional, has a grasp on domestic and international relations, a policy for energy, respectable and familiar with the English language and is not an “empty suit”. We have this now and with his religious ideology and self grandisment, we have lost a great deal of respect, both internationally and amongst outselves. No more religion on politics and a pushing of a “moral” agenda. Thisd has gotten us into a lot of trouble. This is not the time to inject that agenda.

I wish someone would plant a questioner somewhere to kindly ask Mrs. Clinton if she intends to stop the emerging North American Union agenda. Although Congress emphatically denies supporting the concept of the NAU it has already allocated money for the NASCO Supper Highway providing financial incentives to individual states along the corridor granted by the Department of Transportation. The NASCO Highway will run from Mexico through the United States to Canada. The Security and Prosperity Partnership has the capacity to sidestep America’s legislative process altogether because it is being implemented as a treaty. The sovereignty of this nation and our Constitutional liberties are in jeopardy. We diehard constitutional Americans need to know the next president’s intentions in this regard.

That would also mean Hillary would have to sit at the very same desk that Bill did his tricks with Monica on , they may change the desk but the oval office will still be there . I can only wonder what Billy boy is going to do with all free time in that big house and all those pretty aides .Hey i’m not trying to make fun of him because it’s the truth. The bottom line is any Democratic candidate is better and brighter than any Republican candidate. The country that was handed over to GWB through a judicial coup was well respected in the world, financially healthy and sound, people were content and over 60% of the population approved of Clinton in spite of Monica. We were smart enough to know what was REALLY important. Before 2yrs of W’s first term ending, the surplus was gone, our reputation was destroyed and I was ashamed to be an American and I still am.
People writing here are more concerned about a bj than they are about the lies that led us to war, Americans torturing people, prosecutors being fired for not helping ensure Republican dominance, warrantless wiretapping and eavesdropping, or a federal failure to save New Orleans. The list of W’s failures is unending. But to people here, a Blow job trumps all. Come on people –get a life!!! or maybe keep waiting for Brittany’s next bombshell.

But I guess I should expect nothing less from a bunch of power hungry flip-floppers. I challenge anyone to give me one thing Hillary has accomplished that qualifies her to be president. Those who’s only basis for her to be president is that she’s better than Bush had better think long and hard before electing her. She’s weak on national security, weak on tight borders and wants big government everything…unless the voters think otherwise, then she’ll change he position.

The Clinton campaign really is scrapping the bottom of the ethical barrel when they start using GWB’s ethical behavior as the standard by which their own should be judged.
As John Edwards frequently reminds people these days, we don’t want to replace the Republican group of corporate insiders with a Democratic group of corporate insiders. Edwards should extend those sentiments to include the ethically challenged.

Just weeks after naming the leader of an extremist Mexican group to co chair her presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton has added yet another controversial illegal immigration advocate to her team.
The Clinton camp announced with great fanfare this week that the Speaker of the California Assembly,Democrat Fabian Nunez , is the latest national co chair of her 2008 campaign.
A renowned advocate of illegal immigrants and organizer of huge marches, Nunez actually declared war on California’s governor a few years ago because the governor supports securing the southern border as well as legislative measures to help curb the state’s illegal immigration crisis.
Nunez has for years been a well-known figure in the La Raza movement, delivering fiery anti-American speeches and organizing street marches that have featured up to 100,000 rowdy, Mexican flag-waving protestors.
At one such rally in the mid 1990s, Nunez referred to U.S. lawmakers as rednecks and vowed to bring Washington to a standstill to protest what he considered to be anti-immigrant legislation in California.
Nunez was also an activist in a Los Angeles pro illegal alien group (One Stop Immigration and Education) that was federally investigated for misappropriation of federal and state grants. He will undoubtedly have a great relationship with Hillary’s other radical campaign co chair, Raul Yzaguirre, who for three decades headed the extremist group National Council of La Raza…….Google it!!! Vote for the True American Ron Paul!!

I do not understand how one can say that
he does not care how the rest of the world think about us.This is one of the reasons why we are where we are now. What
happens in one part of the world,
unchecked affects us all.If you go to
Europe, dollar can not get you much, for the first in many years one dollar is the same as the Canadian money,we import
most our toys, cars, parts, sea food and oil from over seas so when you said that
you do not care about what others think
about us,think about those who are not as fortunate as others. Those are finding
hard to make ends meet after getting their pay checks. In conclusion,if we treat other good may be the price of oil
will come down.

I guess when Mrs. Clinton talked about answering 5,000 questions during the campaign she should have mentioned that she had asked them as well. I guess that if she doesn’t get to make up the questions herself that it makes it difficult for her to answer them.
Posted by: JVH | November 10, 2007, 2:54 pm 2:54 pm
All that whining because the moderaor of a debate asked her a real question, you know, one that would csall for a ‘yes,’ or a ‘no,’ so she figured she’d write her own.
REMEMBER the preamble to her answer of the question, ” I’m glad a college student asked me that queston….”

Everyone makes it sound like this is some new, clever stategy to deceive the voters. PLEASE! Politicians, Republicans and Democrats alike, have been doing this for decades. Nothing news-worthy to report here. Get over it!

Hillary tells the liberal media what to say and what not to say about she and her scam-of-the-earth husband. Fortunately, we now have ways to hear “the other side of the story”. That is too bad nobody is saying anything about the time when she and Bill were in Oxford and did demonstrations against America and burned the American Flag. Whatever your political inclination is, please, do not vote for liberals. They are taking this beautiful country down. It looks more and more like a third world country. Hillary and all the liberals will help the illegals more.

I just hope the American people aren’t getting conned again – i.e. John Kerry – 2004. We need to wake up and recognize who has the best chance of beating the Republicans and it certainly isn’t Hillary! That is why the Republicans want Hillary – she has so much baggage and even though BILL did a good job domestically – his NAFTA program and is WEAK Foreign Policy encouraged Al-Qaeda – World Trade Bombing – 1993, Embassy bombings in Africa, The Cole, etc.
I am voting for John Edwards – and if Hillary is the Democratic Candidate – I will probably not vote in 2008. If I do vote – I’ll vote for Donald Duck!!!

Here’s the Kool-Aid coming out of Edwards’ mouth in Iowa yesterday:
“We’re going to have to do something about a system that’s broken and rigged and we’re going to have to show some backbone and courage to stand up against some very powerful and entrenched interests,” said John Edwards. “That is exactly what we need to do, we need to give America hope.”
What does that mean? This is a man who got rich being a malpractice lawyer by telling the juries the same slob story. Now he has the labor lobbies, MOVE-ON, and he thinks he’s a change agent for the common man?
What a wuss..

Are you kidding me? Every single politicians who run for president play by the same book. The only thing is this junior staff got caught. And so, what if the question is relevant?
Honestly, after hearing for hours what the three top dem candidates had to say, Hillary is better equipped than anybody else. Her big plus being her husband. And please don’t come with the ML story again. During the 1st Clinton era, we had few unemployment, USA was well respected in the world, the ML story make everybody laugh beside Americans and we had a surplus that was designed to be used as a tool to solve the social security issue.
Edwards is either a dreamer, disconnected from political reality or is again one of this guy who promised things they won’t be able to do once in the office, like everybody else. His foreign policy toward Iran worries me a lot and demonstrate is lack of knowledge of the middle east history and cultural environment.
Obama is great guy, but also, like Edwards, naive regarding foreign policy. He will have too many problems to solve, beside learning how to be president. At least Hillary was exposed for 8 years. In an other time, where is there is less challenges to solve, I would have voted for him.
If Hillary is nominated, by not voting for her you take the risk to have a Giulliani, elected. You think you will want to punish Hillary, when in fact you shoot yourself in the foot. Imagine 8 years of Giulliani, after what we are going through with Bush?????

LOve women like ‘Luc.’ ” Monica Lewinsky story made us laugh? Let’s see:
1. Liberals tell us that terrorists simply repsond to our aggression
2. Bill fired missles into Afghanistan, The Sudan and Iraq on 2 key dates in the Lewinsky saga
3. The Islamic leaders at the time said Bill was just trying to get the Monica story off of the news, and vowed revenge
4. 9-11 (unless you don’t go along with the liberal ‘they’re just reacting to our policies’)
5. The idiot committed perjury and was impeached

Luc, do you really think that if the govt has a surplus that it should be used to solve problems like social security??? A surplus is the peoples money and should be given back to the people and let them invest thier own money…Clinton never had a 4.5 % unemployment rate….Hillary Clinton (D- obfuscator in chief) was scraped off the bottom of Rudy’s shoes

“cbearga165″ posted “Hey James Lentz, have the Clintons ever lowered your taxes?”
George Bush did not lower any taxes; he deferred them. Every penny of the “tax cuts” will eventually be paid for in higher taxes down the road. Because every penny of the “tax cuts” is still on the books as debt. Debt that we are paying interest on (in 2006, these interest payments claimed $227 billion). For every dollar that Bush claimed to “cut taxes”, the American taxpayer will eventually pay much more than a dollar in taxes.

Well, to you, conservativemusiisacrock:
You don’t have any problem with your con heroes in Congress and in the President’s cabinet being crooked lawyers who use their law training to rob little ol’ grannies of the last few crumbs they get on a fixed income, while turning around, these same crooks you idolize, they turn around and feed oceans of money stolen from hardworking ordinary Americans into the pockets of the already filthy rich, with no strings attached. You hate Edwards for being a trial lawyer, but your con buddies are public thieves-lawyers and that doesn’t bother you. At least
Edwards says the right things. And Edwards lived out the work ethic that you cons claim to believe in. He started out a dirt poor textile mill worker and by his own brains and hard work, whether trial lawyer or not, he is a self-made man, unlike a lot of your con-heroes who either got their money pushing some legalized political racket, either through illicit kickbacks and backroom deals or they inherited their money from family connections. Some of them may have earned theirs too, but they were just as, or more hypocritical than you claim
Edwards to be. I don’t see why being a trial lawyer is looked on with scorn, but a public theft business lawyer is OK…Could it be because you cons hate anyone who actually wants to help average Americans (non-rich)? Why do you hate poor people so much? At least Edwards is calling attention to a real problem of two-tieredness in our “for sale to the corrupt” country.
I wish you cons would go practice your seelf-worshipping, blame-shifting hypocrisy somewhere else. Edwards made his own money. Dubya got his from daddy and daddy’s friends who bailed him out.

Hillary has always pulled this kind of stuff even back to her Arkansas days. Those of us who knew her there are not surprised. I’m surprised that she got caught. She really does believe that she is so smart that no one can touch her. That erroneous assumption on her part is due to a great deal to the main stream media. They are so anxious for her to win that they are blinded by any restraint. She is a mediocre person who has been built up by the press to appear to be something that she is not. I’m glad that finally the truth is starting to come out.

A few weeks ago, Hillary publicly accuses a questioner who ask her tough questions she wants to avoid, wasn’t that a revelation of her honest inner thoughts on doing such things as her campaign now admits ? That should have been a warning to the public that she is capable of scheming events to project her hollow experience of leadership. Remember she is the last one to put out her platform positions among her rivals, that is prima facie case of a follower and not a leader.

I’m surprised hillary hasn’t figured out a way to make this a gender issue. Seems you could blame males for piling on women for this. Those brute males are just taking advantage of a weak girl. However, she is strong when it comes to being commander in chief. So you can be a victimized girl when it serves your purpose and a tough guy when that is needed. Unfortunately, we guys can’t play those cards.

Can anyone spell WHITEWATER? How ’bout Vince Foster? Or: screw the McDougal’s? When you have time, and ponder ‘To Clinton, or NOT to Clinton,’read the article that only one person in America has dared to post. It links 9-11 with Monica Lewinsky, Bill Clinton, and Sandy Berger. If you ever wondered why Sandy Berger stole National Archives documents, I may just have your answer.I used 30 years of law enforcement thinking to address the obvious voids in journalistic review. If liberals are correct, and OUR policies and actions create the terrorists’ responses, then the Monica Lewinsky affair may have precipitated
9-11, and Berger may have been after intel reports that linked Islamic threats to the wag the dog attacks in Iraq, The Sudan and Afghanistan.

Surprise surprise??? You can’t tell me that every other campaign doesn’t do this! My goodness, your President and half his cabinet can’t answer anything that hasn’t been scripted or only certain people invited. Condi wouldn’t take questions unless prearranged with that University visit in France. Bush has to even have it scripted to the point that certain people get to question in a certain order so he can keep his answers straight, I guess. This is much ado about nothing and those making it such are Hillary haters anyway. She could never do anything that you would be pleased with. Thank you ABCNews for having the courage and the journalistic integrity to inform the American people about what is happening in Iowa regarding Hillary’s campaign. It seems that NBC, CBS, Washington Post, New York Times are refusing to cover this story. It’s easy to jump to conclusions and suggest that the Clinton’s are controling the media, but I can’t believe that is the case. Perhaps, it is a non-story. I just think that this is an attempt by a candidate to restrict the opportunity for voters to ask ‘their’ questions. Why bother to have a Q & A session, if the campaign is going to decide what questions are to be asked? Does the media know something about this issue that we don’t? Do all candidates do this? Help me out here. Is this worthy of a discussion, or should it be dismissed as politics as usual? What’s going on?

The people who accuse the Clintons re Watergate , stealing furniture, etc r quite clearly misinformed ,deficient in political savvy, unable to discriminate between political disinformation and political leadership. To correct them would be useless– their whole way of thinking needs radical surgery. In any event , I will not try it. All I can tell u is this: Bill was President for 8 yrs. In every country Bill travelled to he was respected, liked and listened to. The budget was balanced and we were not in war. If u think this is bad, go to Iraq and vote in their elections. . Hillary has been active in social causes all her grown life.Never heard anyone, but political operatives during elections or in preparation for elections criticizing her work. So all those that focus on this or that personal detail , story or cantankerous reflection r either political operatives or dont understand politics too well. Remember: U might elect another Bush if u try hard enuf.

She wants power, that’s it. Hillary Clinton does not truly care about Americans. She fills her pockes with the money of lobbyists and special interest groups. Think about this, what has Hillary Clinotn ever done to positively change the lives of the American people?
She did however help send our troops to war and she has the blood of our American soldiers on her hands.
Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee based on the fact that he has a wider range of support than Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama has Democrats, Independents, Women, Men, People of all races and ages…And YES, even Republicans love him and support him.
Mr. Obama has a huge broad base of supporters in Iowa and nationwide. He delivers the true message of hope, unity and change for us Americans! Vote Obama! He will help get things done in Washington the way they should be done — and the way things have not been done in decades!

How is the heat in the kitchen now Hillary? Taking a position on immigration against the wishes of the American people has knocked John McCain out of this race. Now after the Norman Shu scandal, taking a stance on driver’s license for illegals which American citizens completely disagree with and now planting questions for Hillary’s easy answers should be enough to knock her out as well. Keep the pressure up and watch her fall.

Hillary “did not know” about planted questions? She did not know about Monica; she did not know why the missing papers turned up in her living quarters; she did not know her brothers were getting thousands for pushing for pardons from Slick Willy — and on and on. For a supposedly smart woman, there seems to be a lot she “did not know.” As for voters, do they “not know” that this is Bubba’s run for a third term???

More evidence that while HRC knows how to campaign, she has no hope of being able to govern. Every leak like this out of her White House, and there would be many, will simply make governance and political discourse that much more gridlocked than it already is.
Give me Joe Biden as president, and a re-elected Mitch McConnell as Senate Minority leader in ’09, and we will be able to fix Social Security, Medicare and Iraq in the first two years.
