Edwards Blasts Clinton’s ‘Double-Talk’ on Iraq
ABC News’ Raelyn Johnson Reports: Former Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., blasted Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., Tuesday, arguing the Democratic front-runner has been evasive when it comes to her position on Iraq.
"Senator Clinton has repeatedly said she will ‘end the war.’ Yet she has provided no plan for how she’ll do it," Edwards said during a town hall meeting in Newmarket, New Hampshire.
"She has only said that she will hold a meeting with her advisors within 60 days of taking office. That’s not a plan. It’s a promise of a planning meeting. On such an important question we need honesty and answers, not double-talk and evasions," Edwards said.
Edwards, who has called his Senate vote authorizing the President to wage war on Iraq a mistake, has frequently accused Clinton of being evasive about her policy on Iraq.
Clinton has advocated replacing military forces in Iraq with "an intensive diplomatic initiative in the region," and is in favor of leaving an unspecified number of residual forces in Iraq for an undetermined amount of time.
for The last democtratic presidential debate happened over a week ago, but former senator John Edwards remembers it like it was yesterday.
Fresh off his best debate performance that left a gleaming top runner a bit tarnished, Edwards has issued five questions for Sen. Hillary Clinton, hoping to make the issue of double-talk stick–twice.
The Edwards campaign released a "quiz" for Clinton Tuesday, calling on her to answer questions such as "Do you have a specific plan to end the war in Iraq?" and "Will you withdraw all combat troops within the first nine to ten months of your presidency?"
A New Hampshire voter in the crowd complimented Edwards for being "combative."
"I don’t think we should engage in a bunch of personal attacks," Edwards said.
"But I think if you’re talking about Iran, Iraq, what we should do about the war, what we should do about healthcare, about how we make the government work for people, I think people are entitled to know the differences between the candidates and I think it’s our responsibility in fact to keep doing that, and I intend to keep meeting that responsibility."

I know Senators Obama and Clinton… but who is Edwards? Oh yeah and by the way — I saw the last debate.
