Just remember that with social security and any other government program…never gives what it promises. Social security was supposed to be voluntary…but in order to get identification and other “privileges” almost required to “live” today in the USA, one is only enabled to live by conforming to the system. Social security only pays back a small percentage of what you “AND YOUR EMPLOYER” put into it. Why would you want to create another program that promises the world and give you crap in return? Canadians and Europeans come to America to get heart transplants and other health issues taken care of before they die…due to waiting for “government” health care. Go ahead…socialists…take away all incentive for living. It’s always all about you anyway…always.

john edwards will be getting my vote for president. universal health care is a human right in the united states, and what a horrible truth it is that we are lagging so far behind the european nations with health care.

My point is this: The current health care “system” is supposed to be not that great, right? Medicare has major problems, right? Social Security has problems of its own, right? Freedom of choice is a constitutional guarantee, right? Can a “system” be “right” when the participants, upon which the “system” rely, are not allowed their constitutional “choice”? Now why in the world would any person, political or otherwise, be under the belief that I would be happy being compelled to do something that I would not voluntarily do in violation of my constitutional guarantees? Why, I ask myself. Why, I ask you. Because I do not get it, will someone tell me WHY!

Edwards is a joke. What a socialist! What happens when all the doctors go elsewhere due to government restrictions and payment for services. Who will perform the needed procedures, Edwards? I guess you will just sue someone into compliance.

This is hilariously pathetic. I thought Hillary’s mandate of you and your doctor being arrested for going outside of your ASSIGNED doctor by her wonderful Hillarycare proposal in the 1990s was bad! Why isn’t the media all over this! If a Republi”con” (as libs love to call us) had a MANDATORY thing like this, they’d be spitting blood from all the teeth nashing! Nazis were socialists, and now we have a flaming lib like Edwards representing the Moveon.org Democrat party. This is truly pathetic beyond pathetic.

final thought, in 1965 the state i live in had no sales tax, no state income tax.the cities had world class schools, and were safe. now, we are taxed on everything, our cities are among the unsafest in the country, the schools are bad and give out phony diplomas, that is what happens when you send money to the liberals. you see, i live in a blue state.

Lazy Joe decides he doesn’t want to work. Mr. Liberal looking for his vote tells Lazy Joe he don’t have to work because Mr Liberal will make sure he doesn’t have to. Mr. Liberal sends me a bill (taxes) to set Joe up in a shanty where he can smoke cigarettes, drink beer, eat pigs feet and watch Bob Barker on the TV. Not to worry Joe keep smoking up and clogging them arteries because Universal Health care is on the way paid for by me of course. Maybe if I see you in line waiting for Dr. Who to repair your heart and my back from working my butt off we can talk about that vote you cast from year to year.

From my own blog:
One of the reasons why healthcare is so expensive is those government mandates. I have to pay for coverage that I WILL NEVER USE, EVER. I have no choice. My plan MUST cover me, by law. So I have to pay for it.
I’d really like to delete some of these coverages that I’ll NEVER EVER need…because I just don’t think I’m ever going to get ovarian cancer.

You are so right! Not only do they take “vacations” to India for their procedures, but the BIG hospitals and medical groups are setting up shop there.
