Romney Takes Heat for Iowa Slight
ABC News’ Matt Stuart Reports: Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney took heat in Iowa Wednesday for a comment made by one of his supporters, Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H.
While representing the Romney campaign on CNN, Gregg was asked about Romney rival former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s, R-Ark., surge of support in Iowa and responded:
"I’ve always, being from New Hampshire, viewed Iowa as being a place where they pick corn and New Hampshire being a place where we pick presidents."
At a stop in Washington, IA, an audience member asked him about the comment and at a press conference later in the day, Romney said he doesn’t "subscribe to [Gregg's] comment" about Iowa.
The day wasn’t completely dominated by the ins and outs of the presidential race. Romney ended his trip by stopping at an Iowa City area HyVee and dropping some groceries off at a food bank.
Romney spent $204.17 on everything from Jif Peanut Butter to Log Cabin Maple Syrup. Romney, who has previously said he particularly likes sugary cereal, bought plenty of that as well. While looking for the Cap’t Crunch, Romney exclaimed, "Where’s the Cap’t when you need him the most?" before answer his own question, "There he is."

Rick Santorum's Full Speech at CPAC 2012
Like all good businessmen, Romney will deliver his message until he makes the sale…and then, it is off to the next set of suckers.
This guy will do and say anything to be President. Kind of reminds me of the current occupant of the White House, and see where that got us.

Sure am glad Gregg is supporting Romney!
I hope Iowans don’t think that’s the general belief from NH residents.

Is this really a story? Please!
Mitt Romney will be America’s 44th president because he the most qualified candidate running from either party…….by far.
His vast cross-funtional experience is exactly what this country needs right now.
If elected I believe Mitt will be America’s greatest “Domestic” president in our history.
Lot’s of things need fixing and Mitt, who owes his political career to Dems in Massachusetts, is the only one that can work with our Democrat Congress.
Mitt brought health insurance to every citizen in Massachusetts without raising taxes.
Mitt had to work with a State legislature that was 85% Democrat.
That’s why I’m voting for Mitt.

Allen, I’m going to vote, just to cancel your vote. Romney is nothing but a self-serving, egotistical maniac. Ron Paul will be the savior of America.

This sure is a “gotcha” election. Being a Midwesterner, what someone from New Hampshire says, is not that important, since Iowa and NH is apple an oranges. If Gregg was from NY, his comment might offend me. I would think that this is not really news. More important news would be how a friend of Karl Rove’s, McClellan, takes the scandal of Guiliani off of CNN & MSNBC. Also, a bigger story would be why Rick Sanchez of CNN showed his bias by reporting the “B” word comment by a McClain supporter, an not the “Buckwheat” word used by a Demo Rep in La, referring to her supporter who was Black. There are more important stories of the MSM showing their Bias then this one.

These stories have to be rendered front page or you would be inundated with stories like: Pat Tillmans murder from 10 yards, Rudys buddy kerik, new JFK killing evidence from secret service agent, value of dollar, lying to war and lying to out a CIA agent, outsourced everything, etal. here is a great story to run with…Waht does MITT stand for anyway…not his policies…his first name?????? Film at eleven…

What`s more pathetic, the supposed “insult” or Romney`s “charitable” efforts? Romney looks as presidential as Cap`n Crunch looks military.

One reason I like Romney is his compassion. When one of his business friends got into trouble, he went the extra mile. The man’s daughter went missing in New York city. Romney shut his business down, and he and all the employees went to NYC to look for the girl. Thankfully, they found her. Tell me of any other business man who would shut his business to help a friend.

But this is typical for anyone affiliated with discriminatory Romney, they’re just like him. How anyone can pick Romney for our president is beyond me. He would not only be the flipfloppiest president he would also be the lopsidedest because he’d only be for people like him and not ALL the people. I think his thinking and beliefs are limited, he lies, and he backs Iraq and continuing the occupation, and forever.

I just have to say that things need to change in the country. Why in the world do we allow Iowa such power in the presidential election. I mean who the hell even lives in Iowa!?! The electoral system in this country is out of date and needs to be revised so that everyone in the country has a fair vote in deciding the next leader of our country, A major change needs to take place this election, Hillary Clinton is the answer. We need a woman’s sensibility to clean up Bush’s dictatorship of the past 8 years.

How could anyone take Mitt Romney seriously? He’s the blockhead who said we need to “double Gitmo”. What kind of 8 year-old moron would say that? He’s not presidential, he’s a bargain-basement bumper sticker with Ken-doll hair. I am fairly certain he has never read the Constitution, because he cannot answer direct questions about it. His staffers got caught lying and making prank phone calls, and he’s wants war without end, yet he refuses to get his own healthy sons to enlist in the military.

A vote for Romney is four more years of the same.

Mitt Romney is responsible for the death of two innocent victims here in Washington State. I don’t understand why ABC News is not picking this up. The Boston Herald has been running stories on this on a daily basis, since the murders. Romney appointed superior court judge Kathe Tuttman. It was this judge that overruled a district judge’s decision to hold Tavares on $50000 cash bail and she set him free. Judge Tuttman allowed a vicious killer that stabbed his mother to death, to go free after ignoring warnings .In order to avoid political suicide, he now, cowardly is trying to distance himself from her by demanding her resignation

Why knock Iowa’s position in the elections until you have seen it for yourselves? We take this privilege quite seriously, listening and asking questions of the candidates and trying to make the best, informed decisions as we can.
proud Iowa voter

I like McCain. As far as Romney goes, yes, he seems to be a guy who wants to rely on 1.) saying the right things at the right time to the right people, and 2.) his good looks and being not old-looking like McCain. Enough said.
