Thompson $$ Man Resigns

ABC News’ Christine Byun Reports: Phil Martin, an adviser for the presidential campaign of Republican Fred Thompson, who had in the past pled guilty to drug charges today resigned from his work with the former Tennessee senator’s White House bid.

"The focus of this campaign should be on Fred Thompson’s positions on the issues and his outstanding leadership ability, not on mistakes I made some 24 years ago," Martin said today, "I deeply regret any embarrassment this has caused."

Earlier today, Thompson said he had not yet spoken with Martin since he yesterday read reports of Martin’s past in the Sunday Washington Post.

Wow, you would think that someone on Thompson’s committee would have preformed a background check, especially since Thompson is an actor on Special Victims Unit!

Obviously this gentleman has done a whole lot to better himself, and is perhaps a different person today……
People do dumb things and change….
Who can find a perfect person?
I know of one, and His name is Jesus.

Perhaps Freddy should consider returning the $6 million the cocaine trafficker raised for him; Hillary
donated all the Hsu money to charity.

Money needs to be taken out of politics and elections. Money attracts charlatans. The news media should give each candidate so much equal time adn let the people read and assimilate the issues. The money that buys votes and pockets the coat pockets of so many could be used for so much better – drugs, healthcare, and food for the indigent; quality education for all, improvements to our infrastructure. Let the candidates speak for themselves. Let them own themselves.

What’s Ron’s message? Whatever you think Dr. Paul’s campaign is about, the main thing it has done thus far is to serve as a clearinghouse for voters like me who feel unrepresented by New World Order Fasciscts (mainstream Republicans) and their Socialist comrades in crime (mainstream Democrats). They’re actually one and the same. There is no real difference between the two parties. Most people, though, are too distracted, dumbed-down, or outright brainwashed by mainstream media, which endlessly regurgitates scientifically-crafted streams of information aimed at keeping their eyes closed to the realities of the world around them, that they fail to recognize this. Those currently in power, and those being groomed to take [major] political power, are the “global elite,” and we are their “Plebs.” People on the right and those on the left have many differences, maybe irreconcilable ones. But they have a lot of common beliefs too, and their numbers and anger are of a considerable magnitude. No matter what happens in 2008, I personally believe Ron Paul will influence the national conversation about what the role of the federal government is, how much power should government have over our lives, how much liberty we should give up for security. These are important issues, and frankly, no one’s talking about them as seriously and sincerely as Ron Paul. What’s for sure is that his growing army of supporters like me will be a force to be reckoned with in 2008.

People better themselves? Dumb things and change? Are you kidding me? If this guy had worked for Hillary I’m sure your opinion would be a 180 degree change. The man not only got busted selling pot but while on probation then he decided he would run a nukmbers racket and traffic cocaine? And you support this guy? Give me a break. His butt should be resting in jail.

He should be in the same cell as the Chinese guy who worked for Hillary and Bill.
I wonder if Tony ever actually read any the Bible. He certainly hasn’t read all of it. Many Christians never read their own book. Only Job was said to be perfect.

Abc is drooling for a republican to come forward which is why they failed to ask a few people around NASHVILLE what Freddie Thompson was all about. I also love the postswhere libertarians can never live down the fact they smooched on republicans at the voting booth. Thanks, how can we repay you?
