ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Clinton told reporters that Chelsea Clinton’s debut was coincidental and had nothing to do with Oprah’s appearance on the scene.

"We had planned for my mother to campaign with me at some point and for Chelsea also," the candidate said, "but we knew it would never happen before December because of all of the conflicting schedule needs and everything that everybody had. And it worked out that it was going be today and I’m thrilled to have them with me."

Clinton was also asked if she thinks celebrity endorsements matter.

"Everybody wants to have his or her supporters speak out and try to persuade voters to support whoever their candidate is, but at the end of the day it’s a choice among those of us who are running," Clinton said.  "I trust voters to make the decision about who they think will be the best candidate and who will be the best president."

Clinton was read Oprah’s words from today when she said, "Experience in the hallways of government is far less important than overall experience on the pathway to life."

Clinton was asked if she agreed that life experiences were more important than experience in government.

"Well I think I am very fortunate because I have all of that. I have a lifetime of experience that goes back 35 years, I’ve actually made change."

Clinton spoke to reporters before heading to her next event, braving an ice storm. The motorcade has now stopped four times to de-ice windshields.
