Clinton Booed at Heartland Forum
ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: A day after dealing with a hostage crisis, Sen. Hillary Clinton faced a tough crowd in Iowa. Clinton did not receive the warmest of welcomes at the Heartland Form in Des Moines, IA, and although the hostage scare was mentioned, the announcer brushed it off quickly in order to get to questions. Clinton, who was forced to call in to speak to the crowd of thousands because of weather difficulties, took questions on topics from healthcare to illegal immigration.
The senator was asked if she would "make a decision to give undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship" during her first 100 days in office. Clinton responded saying, "I have been favoring a plan to citizenship for years. I voted for it in the Senate, I have spoke out about it around Iowa and the country and in my campaign. And as president comprehensive immigration reform will be a high priority for me."
Soft booing could be heard from the audience. The man repeated his question about the first 100 days. Clinton replied, "Well you’ve to get congress to pass the legislation and the president to do as much as possible, which I will do." Louder boos came from the crowd.
Clinton was thanked for her appearance and the moderator expressed sympathies for the ordeal she suffered yesterday. Clinton thanked the moderator. More booing could be heard from the crowd again after she hung up the line.
Barring any travel troubles, Clinton is still planning on attending the Brown and Black Presidential Forum in Des Moines Saturday night.

All the dems are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. 75% of NY folks dont want drivers licenses for illegal aliens; so Hill had to back track on that. Same thing will happen in the general election. Fred Thompson is the only main stream pol who has come out for enforcement; not amnesty for illegal aliens. Watch how soon others follow. No candidate will be elected prez if they advocate amnesty like Hill and all the other dems do.

The idea that Hillary was in some way instrumental in “dealing with the hostage crisis” is ridiculous. People on the ground in New Hampshire dealt with the problem. Trying to turn this into how “Presidential” she was is political spin.

If America elects this Clinton person, we will not make it much longer. She is a fraud just like her husband and America is screaming for a leader not a political lying machine back in Washington.

When will Hillary release her hidden documents relating to her activities during the Clinton presidency? The people of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina have the right to know everything about a prospective president of the United States before they cast their votes for him or her. Hillary is a disgraced woman jsut as her husband (whoe’s law license was revoked for lying under oath) is a disgraced man. We cannot afford to rehearse the drama of the 1990′s again. We have so much problems that need the full attention of the next president of the U.S.A., and the next president will certainly not be Hillary Clinton.

I’m told I’m very well informed when it comes to politics but I need someone to answer a question for me. Is the Hillary Clinton who is running for President the same Hilary Rodmam Clinton who is married to the former President William Clinton? I think they may be the same person but they spell their first names differently; one uses her middle name and they look different.

This is typical Hillary Clinton; ask a question and don’t get an answer–just rhetoric. All she ever states is hoe bad President Bush is and what she is going to do as President, not how she is going to do it–no plans, just fluff. When will the mainstream media call her on this? Hopefully folks in the early primary states see Hillary for what she is and how dangerous she will be for America if she is elected President.

The hostage crisis had little to nothing to do with Hillary. She didn’t go through the ordeal, her campaign workers did. Thankfully, they are all okay. Just what the country needs…someone to take credit for someone else’s pain. The above person (Posted by: Nick | Dec 1, 2007 6:36:57 PM) is right, Fred Thompson is the only candidate that has any plans for this country that don’t involve taxing the citizens to death and turning our freedoms over to other countries.

Kudos.

Hillary does not represent herself well. While GOP candidates struggle to portray themselves as the “true conservative” of the bunch, not a single democrat fights to portray themselves as the “true liberal”. Liberalism does not embrace freedom and liberty. It only wishes to restrict. What happened to the idea of liberal democracies? I think Republicans are better suited to run our fine republic than this cadre of Democrats.

Hillary can’t win aginst most Republicans because she is so hated. She could destroy Obama with dirt if she needed to, but hasn’t.
Obama can’t win if he gets the nomination because he is Black and inexperienced.
Hillary + Obama can’t lose.

Hil will continue to spew her pro amnesty gargabe until her handlers are sure most Americans are NOT for granting blanket amnesty to the millions of illegal immigrants. Then, she will say she has always been for enforcing the laws of the United States, and that the illegal immigrants must go throught the legal process like everyone else. She is so arrogant to think we will forget what the hell she has said in the past. She’s disturbing at best, frightening as worst.

We The People solve problems politicians are too afraid to solve saving America.
Patriotic Americans can solve the illegal invader problem. Corporation’s who higher illegal invaders are breaking the law!!! Al Capone went to jail for tax fraud. Use the Corporation/Employer number for date of birth (on all paychecks). Corporations purposely employ illegal invaders cheating on taxes, second is lowering wages for everyone, third is crime costs lives, fourth is illegal invaders use government services bankrupting cities and states, fifth is illegal invaders uses hospitals and by law the hospital must transfer their cost to the payers (us). Health care costs are double- who likes paying $100 a month for health insurance? (Check the fact it’s higher.) IF IRS does not enforce the law equally then it is implied open season for everyone not to pay taxes.
Ethics: people who say, “Illegal invaders do jobs Americans will not do.” Ignorant statement from people who do not know basic economics! Illegal invaders push wages down making it impossible to survive for real Americans. Basic economics includes all hidden costs. Stupid corporations employing illegal invaders loose $1.65 for every $1 saved. Lets say, “Penny wise, Dollar foolish!” Stopping illegal invaders improves America and increases corporate profits.

This woman is so protected in the press, that she’s getting praise for her “handling” of the hostage situation yesterday…it’s a “prelude” to how she would handle “crisis” as POTUS, don’t you know?
What did she do? Nothing. She was never in personal danger, she didn’t solve a single problem…she did NOTHING. One piece literally said she “took charge” by letting the professionals do their job.
Pardon me while I throw up.

If you want the same America (Patriot Act,sifting innocent people’s book records etc)that we’ve had for the last 8 years then yes vote Rudy G or Mccain. We certainly don’t need Hillary. What we need are candidates that will do the will of the citizens of the country. Keep in mind that the media is the voice of the elites and they are basically the same, left and right.

Sen. Clinton would not likely be a U. S. Senator, let alone a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for President were she not a former first lady.
She is unfortunately a singularly unimaginative, uninspiring, and seemingly somehow 1960s dated liberal rather than a thoughtful, forward-looking progressive.
Has she stopped thinking about tomorrow?
Posted by: Gunsmoke | December 1, 2007, 8:06 pm 8:06 pm
This woman is the quintessential liberal who will tell whatever the lowest common denominator wants to hear.
Remember when she was being a carpetbagger and going after the junior senator’s seat of one of the most powerful states in the Union? (oh what a surprise she didn’t get anywhere near to Arkansas!) Remember her “listening” tour? It was her attempt to figure out what to say when she actually got in front of a camera because she was completely out of touch with “the people” She had to listen to hours of whining to know what the problems are so she could get elected. Otherwise, her pampered, protected and isolated behind would be entirely exposed.
This is the woman who said something to the effect that she has a million ideas and America can’t afford them all. She’s beyond dangerous, she’s subversive and a communist in a “progressive’s” clothing.
Remember all the terrorists and dictators who had access to the Bill Clinton white house? Every enemy of this country and of freedom will be a friend of the Hillary Clinton White House.
Do you see that every time there’s a fund raising issue with these Clintons there’s a freaking chinaman behind it? What’s with their constant connection with the ChiComs? I’ll tell you, they AGREE with the totalitarianism that is their regime!!! They want that kind of control because they know better, just ask them, oops, nevermind you won’t get a straight answer out of any of either of them and you won’t see the old media confront them and she won’t expose herself to the new media!!!
And why can’t she get any traction against Osama O’bama? Because of all the 600 FBI files that mysteriously appeared in her quarters none had him because his “star” hadn’t risen yet. So without the dirt from those files she can’t throw him under the bus.
A vote for her is a vote to hand over all control to her. Forget any hope of keeping the Bush tax cuts alive. They’re DOA. The death, I mean inheritance tax? It’ll be maxed out. So after you bust your behind your entire life and actually accumulate weatlth despite the best efforts of the IRS she’ll still step up and take what you can’t take with you.
I can’t imagine people who know half of the truth would vote for her.

Re: Dot
The rise of CEO salaries relative to the average worker has been going on for some time. In fact, the ratio increased proportionately more in the 1990s than since 2000, though it has continued to increase. Similarly, manufacturing jobs were decreasing in the 1990s. The the emerging country demand for oil had not started. These are all valid issues, but have been trends for quite some time across both administrations.

No, we don’t have to give citizenship away. It’s not a right — it’s a privilege. There’s no country in the world that grants citizenship to children just because their parents came in illegally.
We need to address the incorrect interpretation of the 19th amendment, which was intended to provide citizenship to black people who were brought here in slavery, and whose children were born here, and deserved citizenship.
There’s no country that automatically makes you a citizen just because you happened to be born within its borders.

Hillary’s greatest weakness is her desire to tailor her answers to the crowd at hand. She is going to outsmart herself by trying to be too clever. The illegal immigration issue is where she has demonstrated her weakness to date.
Wait until she is asked about how she’d handle national security issues where she’d have to decide between an immediate need to confront terrorism and the broader issue of constitutional protections. Or how about the issue of agressive interrogation techniques? Or the need to balance free trade with preserving American jobs? How will she fund her sweeping and very costly social programs? Tax the rich? But there aren’t enough rich people to go around. Tax everybody? And aren’t we already taxed enough?
When Hillary starts getting asked hard questions instead of being pitched softballs from Wolf Blitzer and CNN, then the true weakness of her triangulation strategy will be evident.

Hillary is a socialist who has a lust for power. If she wins we are in big trouble. I prefer Thompson or Huckabee. Democrats want the illegal alien vote in my opinion, so if a democrat gets in, this country will be taken over and promises will be made to them just to get their vote.

And because every time hillary opens her mouth every man in America hears his worst nighmare.

I am a Immigrant, but I came the right way. We applied and waited our turn. When we arrived, they told us not to heve any problems, do not get even a speeding ticket. Nobody ever told us that we could get food stamps, or free houseing. We went to work after 5 days of our arrival. Our sponsors had to take the obligation to feed us and take care of us if we where not able. I would let the illegals stay in this country, but no food stamps, no walefare or free medical care. The truouble is most of them from South America can’t read or write, so it would be very hard for them to find jobs. We had to go to school and learn English, nobody let us take drivers test on our languge, like they do now. This is the best country in the world, if I can survive without any government help for all these years, I have been here 38 years, so should everybody else.

Reagons tax cuts created the greatest economy this country has ever seen.
Bill Clintons tax increases destroyed it.
The Clintons are a plague on this country.

You are all a real bag of laughs. Boo hoo, GW made gas prices higher, he sent our jobs overseas, he’s the reason we don’t have everyone under a healthcare plan, wah wah wah, and on and on it goes. So let me relay my story. During Clinton’s tenure as Prez, I was making $10 bucks an hour and found myself $30k in debt, with no health care, all at $1.50/gallon gas prices. Big deal, I didn’t blame Clinton for my situation. During GW’s reign thus far, I’ve made over $7 million, have top notch health care and every other insurance known to man, zero debt, own lots of property, stocks, as well as 2 businesses. My children are 3 and 5, and I could retire now if I wanted. Now do you think I give GW credit for this? H-e-l-l NO. I did it myself through hard work and sacrifice, and when you people quit your incessant whining and waiting for the government to fix YOUR problems, you will see what it is like to be a true American. Vote for who you think will do the best job in your heart, but if you vote for who you think will save you from yourself and be the saviour to your own personal misery, you will Never, Ever find yourself happy with any President or politician, much less yourself. If everyone would just shut the heck up, quit whining, and get back to good ol’ fashion bust your a$$ ethics and work habits, we wouldn’t be having 90% of the political debate that we have going on these days. Sheesh what a bunch of cry babies!

Hillary deserved to be booed. Any politician who tries to push amnesty on us deserves to be booed an kicked out of office. We have an perfectly legal and workable method for legal immigration in this country and thousands use it every year.
Anyone who thinks Hillary, Obama or any politician can give you a job or save you from your sorry life you need to wake up. It isn’t going to happen. They sure can make it worse though by shipping more of our jobs to the Chinese. Thanks Bill and Hillary!! We really appreciate all of that LOVE you sent to the Chinese over the years. Now she’s taking more of their money and people are just fine with it and think there’s no payback involved. Wake up people. The Chinese want something in return. How many more jobs do you want to lose?

one idiot says,”can anybody be worse than the one in the White House now?”
asking a question like that shows what a moron that guy is. I am no fan of George Bush; but a few people that would be worse are: Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, and almost any Democrat except maybe Joe Leiberman.
George Bush is just another pandering politician willing to trade policy for votes. We need a true conservative in the White House. We need to close our borders to illegals NOW. We are losing our country to people that don’t want to assimilate into our society. They want to change our society through numbers….

Amen, your daddy! We need to deport those here illegally, and work on a list of qualities we would like in people who would like to immigrate here LEGALLY. The Mexicans who are coming here don’t intend to trouble themselves to learn English. Go to most Walmarts and Target stores. They are handicapping their children by speaking Spanish to them! They want us all to learn their Spanish. Then we will all be Mexicans.

I don’t think ‘irrational hatred’ is the right phrase, Martin. Rational hindsight would be more like it. From all the comments I’ve read here, I’ll sleep a bit better knowing more people than I realized aren’t as easily led as you.
Fascism comes in many forms, for the vocal liberal minorities that would institute unpopular ideals it’s done via the Judiciary, for no other reason than they would lose in a statewide or national referendum. As for it coming, it’s been here since the establishment of the ACLU.
I feel far more comfortable with the hearts and minds of America in the hands of ‘the right’ than anyone you would have confidence in.

Hillary Clinton is a socialist. We used to call them communist. Pure and simple. Read her paper from college it it on the internet. All planned out how to take over the country and has been for years. Remember she said “WE are going to take some things away from you for the common good of the country” Don’t take mine I work hard for what little I got. Don’t give me your pitiful health care either. Every one in this country has access to medical care now.
Can you imagine the fights between her and bill if she is President. Power struggle.
I think the people of this Country are smart enough to see through her lie’s and will not put her in as President. She can only answer a question if it is scripted.
The plan for her to run has been in the making for years and she tells New York oh no she will remain Senator. Not that she has done anything for them.
Wake up people or we will be living like they do in Cuba and other Countries run by socialist.
And yes, what is she hiding by not allowing her memo’s from the White House years be shown to the people.
Remember Bill Clinton took our Military down to the bone and she will too. They both hate the Military. They are our protection not the Clintons.
God help us if they put her in the White House. The main stream news covers up for her every mistake.

Our country is becoming a laughing stock we have sold out our manufacturing base, given all our secrets to the Chicoms and our government is in gridlock. Both the republicans and democrats are to blame. These two loser parties have become so polarized to their radical bases that they are unable to negotiate with one another and meanwhile our country slowly falls apart.

Hillary Clinton hates herself more than we do; while I pity her, I will do anything and everything I can to make sure she is prevented from inflicting further damage on this world.
She is manifestly unqualified to be the CEO of the United States of America, and her having even the notion that she could perform the job is insane. Anything she’s ever tried to run has utterly failed, and her narcissistic personality disorder dooms her to a life much like she’s had until now — pathetic attempts to be Napoleon.

What most Democrats don’t seem to realize is the only reason they gained control of congress, was that true conservatives are very upset with the Republicans abandoning their priniciples, and acting like Democrats with their spending. It had nothing to do with supporting anything the Democrats advocate. Unfortunately I see them succeeding in dumbing down the population, on many of the ideas that made this country what it was. I remember when I was young, it was taught that “you don’t take handouts from the government” How often do you hear that anymore. It used to be considered shameful. Not anymore. Who do we blame for that. Maybe it is time for people to start looking within, rather than blaming the politicians. They just give us what we want, so they can get elected. That is what politicians have always done. Next time you hear of someone lobbying to get government grants to pay for some local project, just tell yourself that in reality they are just being selfish for themselves, and are going to let their grandkids pay for it. There is no way that it is being paid for by present dollars being collected in taxes. It is money that future generations are going to have to pay for. We need to discipline ourselves, and stop demanding these things from our politicians, and demand that the politicians stop pandering to us by promoting this careless phisical policy.

The parents of the undocumented immigrants should teach their children a lesson – that is those who obey the law are protected by the law. The children of undocumented immigrants are not punished by the government if they are sent home. They can return home with their children. If the children, who are U.S. citizens because of the place of birth must go with their parents they can come back when they are able. But to say that the parents are now citizens because their baby was born in America is akin to Jewish women’s children being Jewish because their mother’s were Jewish no mater the religous heritage of the father. National affinity is not quite the same but the reasoning is. I think we need more Americans (not just immigrants that will not release their former national cultural practices). Practically, there should be some encouragement for larger American families. We have the land, sustinance and need for more Americans for our culture. Instead of concentrating on an abortion “ban” why not encourage and support mother and fatherhood. If as much money and effort was put into encouragement and support of families as is put into anti abortion – we would have healtier, more capable, socially intigrated and productive children raised. Children are a fact of life.

Why do 2 parents have to work now instead of just one, like it used to be? Why is Canadian dollar up? Why is Oil up? Why is gold up? Why is meat up? Why is milk up? Why do the markets go up when the Federal Reserve Bank cuts the interest rate? Because the more dollars there are, the LESS all previously existing dollars are worth! The answer is so important to understand. It might take a couple or more watchings, but it is so very, very vital for every citizen to understand.

Pam:
As a Republican and conservative American, I do not hate anyone. I disagree….strongly, passionately, with anyone who would want to dilute what this country stands for.
Just so you understand, I define “dilute” as anything that would diminish what the founding fathers intended for this country. First and foremost, respect for the rule of law. I hold against no one the desire to have a better life for either themselves or their families. Anyone who wants to enter this country legally, make an honest effort to adopt our customs and language, without forgetting who they are or the traditions of their homelands, is welcome to hang at my house until they are settled in.
This goes for immigrants of any backround or religious belief.
When your first act upon crossing my border is an illegal one, you can go right back where you came from. Just like if they entered your home, Pam, uninvited.
Also, don’t even think of trying to get me to speak Spanish, or let you use the Koran in place of a bible when accepting the privelege of elected office.
As to my alleged hatred of Democrats, I will begin to offer respect to them when they begin to respect this great nation that grants them the freedoms to do whatever they wish. Even if those wishes include taking this country in a socialist direction. Which I totally disagree with.
And another thing, while I am feeling generous, learn to stand up for yourselves, and take care of yourselves without anyone else’s help. Don’t even think about granting these illegals access to those rights and priveleges that REAL Americans have. Like licenses, Social Security, Medical care, (unless it’s an emergency), discounts on tuition, and all of the other things some would like to give away.

Let’s see….oil is up because the Chinese are consuming it in a huge way, compared to, say, ten or even five years ago.
Foodstuffs are up in this country because of a misguided attempt to solve our energy dependency by using ethanol. Corn prices are absolutely through the roof on this one.
Markets rally because an easy money policy is good for the bottom line, and people spend more when they think it will “cost” them less.
What else? As far as the dollar goes, you got me on that one.

Several things:
First, don’t worry about Hillary (Or Hilary). Many or most men of a liberal persuasion will tell their wives they are voting for her but will actually vote for the third-party candidate or any Republican, as distasteful as that may be, given that our country has just been ruined by one (or at least someone pretending to be a Republican). Be that as it may, she really doesn’t have a chance.
Second, please, please, please, do learn something about U.S. and world history, as well as some English grammar. And also, please know that in no universe nor in any alternate reality does profanity constitute logical argument.
And lastly, anyone with a few brain cells to rub together can see quite clearly that our two-party system is a total mess. There is nothing at all resembling intelligent debate in this country because one side defines themselves by what the other is not. It is no more interesting than a chemical reaction which is mind-less. ‘Mindless’ would be a fair description of most of the so-called ‘political discussion’ to which we are generally subjected. Well-meaning Democrats as well as well-meaning Republicans have been lied to and have lapped up every last drop like obedient servants.
So, while I cherish the women and minorities (or any other members of protected classes) in the world and as much as I esteem their accomplishments, I do not believe they have any more intrinsic human and cultural value than white men as the extreme left would have us believe, but are rather equal, as we all are and should be. I am, therefore, not yet ready to turn over my mind to be programmed by “The Left” for their own selfish ends. And while I may love and believe the Word of God, I am also not ready to put my brain in a box and hand it over so I can blindly follow my priest, pastor or president. It has be proven, of late, that in addition to being idiots, any one of them might only be interested in abusing my mind, my children, my trust or my tax dollar for their own twisted ends. I am, therefore, not ready to turn over my children or their minds to “The Right” either.
Fortunately, there is a third way and it is called ‘Thinking.’ It is an ability that humans claim sets them apart from the animals but which they rarely exercise. Let’s start now: Let’s free ourselves from the mindlessness. As Steve and Joe so wisely said, let’s get in our thinking chairs and think.
Oh, shoot. I just realized a flaw in my plan here. Thinking rationally and effectively sort of requires an education. Rats. Our schools, universities and even (or perhaps especially) our churches have, for the most part, been turned into political organizations and ideology factories. Oh, wait, no, it’s OK after all. Everything one needs is on the bookshelf at home or in the library. Ok, let’s get to work! Good luck thinking!

Hillary Stated she has a million ways of improving america but we can’t afford them, However, she has been a senator for almost 7 years and she has yet to introduce one of those “Million Ideas” to the floor for a vote. Everything about her comes with a catch. “You can’t have any of my ideas unless you vote for me.”. Thank God the people of the midwest are seeing through this total empy suit. With all of us working to get the truth out about this disgrace not even the Clinton Chinese moneybaggers can help her get elected.
It’s time we take back our country, We do not need 4 more years of the Clinton’s turning their heads to real threats to the United states as if it doesn’t exist. From the first World Trade Center bombing it was down hill from there. Remember Bill Clinton famous words “I Loath The Military” Hillary……BOOOOOOOO I only wish I was there to hear it and say it myself.

Who does not believe, any Democrat or Republican, will sell out the nation and every citizen in a heartbeat. Who does not believe any politician will make sure that everything you have worked hard for and bled for is thrown away for “their” convenience. Non-U.S. nationals and illegals should have full entitlement to social security, collect unemployment under your social security ID, ride your credit history, use your identity, not have to pay insurance, will not face capital punishment in the U.S., gets valid “ID cards” and drivers license from cities and states, enjoy free medical care, enjoy free education, insult U.S. veterans and the flag, and have an easier time getting in and out of the U.S. than you do getting through the airport. Why shouldn’t any non-U.S. national come to the U.S.? We shouldn’t blame any non-U.S. national for all these problems. These politicians blatently make these decisions in front of their constituents to demonstrate their contempt of the electorate. We should be blaming the politicians. Almost none of them have the backbone to stand up and say, “This is wrong.”

… all I will say … the country has had enough of Bushes and Clintons … after 25, 50, 100 yrs … will it ever end??? … it’s like Groundhog Day, over and over … I do hope some reporters somewhere will ask the NY Ice Queen, the transplant from the South, some really tough questions, I’d still like to know how she made all the money in chickens, the Ice Queen has no idea, she just put a little money in the pot and went to bed and woke up hundreds of thousands dollars richer! … all of us could use that information, we could all use some chicken money !!! … New Yorkers didn’t ask questions and look what they got! … sad state of affairs in NY, to tell the whole world not one person, in the whole state, was qualified or smart enough to run for the US Senate, you had to bring the Ice Queen in from the South to run for the Senate. … is there anybody … Joe Biden seems to be an honest guy and I like him, the only one in the whole bunch from either side, but I guess he’s not going anywhere. Michael savage would shake things up but he doesn’t want to run … but he could help to start a new party to take the country back. … one last thing about the Ice Queen … they cleaned out the White House before, taking all the furniture … do we really need to let them back in there again? … to get what they didn’t get before. The country can’t afford it.

I thought Hillary told the people of New York she was running for the Senate to do the work of the people of New York, and that was her first and only priority, the people of New York, and only New York. Oops, then she announced she was running for President. If the people of New York can’t trust or believe her, how or why should the rest of us???? She seems to have a little problem with the truth.
Oh yes, and for all those women who think she’s the Greatest, don’t forget who ran the “Bimbo Squad.” Just remember most of us were young and stupid once or twice in our life. How would you feel if you would have been involved with Bill at some point in your life, didn’t even want to be found, then you showed up on the “Bimbo List.” Think your life would still be the same? You’d have Hillary, your smiling sister, protector of all women great and small, sticking it to you.
Oh well, dig down deep, and vote your conscious.

I am a Jewish survivor of nazi concentration camps, and am grateful to the US soldiers who liberated me,
and to the U.S. as a country.
The haters of Bush are in fantastic company — the terrorists, the anti-semites, the crooks and dope heads , and those who would abort a child after 9 months of pregnancy.
I still await their protests against the Islamo fascists who want to kill a woman for naming a teddy bear Mohammed, or for convicting a rape victim to 200 lashes for being amongst men who were not her relatives. After all, this is being done in Muslim countries, where Bush haters exist by the millions!
All you fellow travelers, all you appologists of commies and Islamo fascits, all you Bush haters, are forgeting something:
Roosevelt saw WWII coming, but did practically nothing to prepare the US for the onrushing conflict.
The Pearl Harbor attack was most likely not foreseen by him — he just erred; but the fact that more than 10,000 US soldiers perished at the Battan death march in the Phillipines can be laid to him. The US did not even have torpedoes that worked, and he was Commander in Chief by then for three terms and should have known this.
There were casualties by the tens of thousands due his neglect or acts of political expediency — altogether over 30 times more needles deaths than perished in Iraq. Yet the US won because it was — and still remains — a CAN DO nation, and was then not undermined by traitors and know nothings, as is happening now.
Bush made many errors, but so did many of our other leaders during war time, including Lincoln, for example. Let’s not forget that he also suspended habeas corpus and other freedom safeguards during the Civil War.
Bush learned a hard lesson on how to deal with the Islamo fascists, and then appointed general Petraeus to deal with that conflict. To the chagrin of leftists, including some in our Congress, Petraeus is making great progress against the Islamo fascists.
As a result, some of our senators and representatives are now forced to admit this. They, at first, disputed his statement and all but called him a liar. Indeed, they went along with a subsidized ad in The New York Time paid for by Moveon.Org, a puppet outfit of a billionaire named Soros — the same Soros who was convicted by a court in France for shady activities.
Now all you characters who went along with the New York Times ad are eating crow, but still are harping against Bush. WAIT AND SEE: YOU WILL EAT A LOT MORE CROW IN THE FUTURE!
To paraphrase a statement by an Ayn Rand fictitious person: it is a pitty that Bush is saving your necks along with the necks of many worhty Americans from the mercies of the very sheiks and ayatollahs you are now giving aid and comfort!
All you charactes of Hollywood, all you professors and your brainwashed students; all you hounds who are screeming for the blood of Bush, and all the efforts of most of our news outlets are not able to destroy him.
I am not an avid follower of Bush and well recognize his faults, but can also see his virtues. One of them is that he is a strong person — a person who is withstanding the most brutal attack ever leveled against a U.S. President!
Islamo fascism is funded by petrodollars. Regardless where we buy it, our purchases of oil on world makets sharply increase its price and enrich our enemies even if we hardly do any business with them . Moreover, despite purchases of oil by China and India, we still remain, by far, the largest purchaser of this commodity. As a result, our absence of these purchases on world markets would drop its price from $90 per barrel to less that $15, according to experts in this field. This would greatly dimish the cash flow of Iran and other hostile nations, as well as their ability to develop deadly weapons and finance world terrorism.

First constructing a fake hostage situation in a poor attempt to boost the public’s perception of her “terrorism expertise”, and now she calls into an Iowa event because she is afraid of getting STUCK in the coming snowstorm. You are right Barbara, but the thing that scares me worse is the thought of Barack Obama as President. He kind of reminds me of a dumb as a rock, peanut farmer who was elected once upon a time in the Land of Oz. He promptly gave away the Panama Canal and sold out our ally the Shah of Iran to the Mullas. Yep, that’s definitely what the country needs is more of that lame Democratic Leadership.

Fred Thompson is an open borders guy just like the other club members, I mean candidates. The only one with a clean, conservative, honest record, who believes in our Constitution and rights for Americans over illegals is Dr No.

Senator Clinton, the current administration, most of the Congress and most of the presidential candidates deserve to be booed. I would like to add my enthusiastic “Boo Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!” to those of the good folks of Iowa. She is stuck in the 60′s with her Marxist ideology that is 40 years out of date.
Illegal immigration is a non-starter with Americans, and any candidate that wants to choose their special interest groups over the voters will pay dearly at the polling booths.
Posted by: joyce | December 2, 2007, 5:32 am 5:32 am
The vast majority of Americans want illegal immigration stopped. Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo are the ONLY candidates on either side who are really for secure borders and want to stop the illegal freeflow of aliens across our border. The other candidates who say they are for secure borders are merely giving us lipservice. Because their records speak for themselves.
Vote Hunter or Tancredo and save our nation’s sovereignty!

I wonder what other laws she would choose to ignore (besides the immigration laws)?
This is an end run around democracy. The political elites want amnesty for illegals, to hell with what the people want.
And now that we have the motor voter laws, anyone with a drivers license can vote. Will Mexico be determining who the next American president is…?

It’s time for americans to wake up to the fact that everything you own has been touched by an illegal immigrant first…in the fields picking our fruits and vegetables, in restaurants preparing foods, stacking products on shelves in supermarkets, Kmarts, cleaning office buildings etc. Illegal immigrants are the only people willing to work for $5 or less. They are keeping this economy running. Republicans are just pandering to your fears. Of course republicans want to keep illegal immigration labor going in this country…they support business which wants to keep labor cheap in this country. If you don’t like illegal immigrants working and living here than be prepared to pay 3 to 4 times the price on everything you purchase. You can’t have it both ways..so stop being hippocrates by Booing Hillary.

Hillary has sold out to the Chinese in advance just like her husband did. I want my children to grow up and live. With Hillary we have a very good chance of being the last American citizens to live free. She would wreck the country and turn it over to unlimited immigrants. I have zero trouble with immigrants so long as they are legal, are absorbed into our culture (instead of maintaining their own almost exclusively) and learn to read, write and speak English. With those qualifications, let ‘em come. Without it, deport every one of them AND their children born here. Booing Hillary is the least any responsible citizen can do to that fraud and criminal.

Not only that, your personal records do get discussed. If the government takes over your healthcare you can kiss your privacy goodbye. I might be going out on a limb by saying this or risk being labeled a right wing nut, But I am totally suspicious about the whole hostage thing. That debacle called a debate on CNN the other day only re-enforces the thought running through my mind that all of this has been staged to help Hillary Clinton. These left wing Democrats will do anything, And I mean ANYTHING to regain total control of the Government. You have to remember that they had the House and Senate for almost 40 years. These people are driven by obtaining power and then keeping it, As Malcolm X once said ” By any means necessary” . If Hillary wins the white house, Then this country as we now know it is doomed. I know that is a strong statement to make, But we are talking about a fundamental shift in this country from right of center politics to the leftist socialism . Is that the type of nation that thousands of our veterans died for to create? A Socialist central government with total control of our lives, Or did they shed their blood to maintain a free Republic based on the principals of Democracy? That is the question me must ask ourselves, Because our media sure is not going to challenge the Democrats because they are one in the same.

I’ll admit that I am not a big Hillary fan right up front so take everything I with that in mind. Having said that I couldn’t help but notice the way this article opens “ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: A day after dealing with a hostage crisis, Sen. Hillary Clinton faced a tough crowd in Iowa.”
What exactly did Mrs. Rodham-Clinton deal with. It makes her sound like she was right there with the SWAT officers getting ready to storm the building if the negotiations failed. Did “dealing with” mean emotionally “dealing with” if that’s that case how will she “deal with” Russia and Iran? Just curious…

Jerry, don’t put Fred Thompson in with the other Republicans who are running, saying he’s got “intestional fortatude”.
… if I remember, he dragged his feet all summer, only finally getting in the race at the last possible moment, while the other candidates were already in the race slugging it out. Thompson went to visit with Jay Leno and passed on the debate, guess he felt safe being there with Jay. … give me a break … I was once excited about Fred Thompson, Jerry but that didn’t last very long.

The Democrat establishment insists republicans are anti-immigrant, when the members of their own party despise ILLEGAL immigration at nearly the same level as republicans. Democrat politicians insist on division and conflict – they inject it into every race. They despise the western roman heritage, but the embrace the roman notion of divide and conquer forgetting the advice that divided we fall. But then, isn’t that what the hard left desires? For America to fall?

“Hillary does not represent herself well. While GOP candidates struggle to portray themselves as the “true conservative” of the bunch, not a single democrat fights to portray themselves as the “true liberal”. Liberalism does not embrace freedom and liberty. It only wishes to restrict. What happened to the idea of liberal democracies? I think Republicans are better suited to run our fine republic than this cadre of Democrats.”
I really cant believe there are people in this dumb in our country……a completely one-sided and polarized political playing field is exactly what we need to get away from. anyone who votes for someone because they are “true conservatives” or “true liberals” should have thier right to vote revoked because they have no idea what they are voting for anyway.

I was at Katrina pulling people off of the top of a hospital. The only thing the federal government could have done to make things better was provide more fuel tankers for the north ramp at Louis Armstrong Airport. It took a long time to refuel due to a shortage of fuel trucks. If there had been more helicopters in the air we would have had some mid air collisions, so more helicopters were not the answer. The people who stayed could have left if they wanted to, but they choose to stay and hope the worst did not happen. The fact that many had to be hoisted off of roof tops is not the federal governments fault. As a retired Coastie I can tell you that hoisting someone takes a long time, you have to complete several rescue checklists for each hoist. Every time you bash Bush on Katrina, you are truly bashing the thousands of folks that came down there to help out. And most of you bashers did not do a damn thing but sit back and blame Bush!!!!

RunningLate said:Wow, you people are brutal..do you really think anything could be worse than what is in the White House now?
Um….Hell Yeah! Hillary Clinton! I won’t deny that Bush has really disappointed me in a lot of ways, especially on illegal immigration but this country will never survive with Hillary as president.
Many things about our immigration and citizenship need to be changed. Just because someone is born here should not mean automatic citizenship. At least one parent should be a legal citizen before a a child born here is a citizen. I know a lot of you will not like this idea but every day women are crossing the borders into the US to have babies, that’s not right.
I also heard there’s a town in Texas that changed it’s official language from English to Spanish. This should not be legal and the Federal government should step in and not allow this sort of thing to happen.

Of COURSE I’m against amnesty for illegal immigrants!
Without illegal immigrants, we’re going to have to find some OTHER means of legalized slavery to do the jobs nobody else will. Perhaps a 150 year old model of slavery would work better than the one we have. I know there are those that yearn for THOSE old days…
I mean, you think the price of gasoline is high, wait till we kick out all the illegal immigrants and the price of tomatoes goes up to ten dollars a pound.
Are YOU willing to send your kids to go pick tomatoes? If they could make a living wage in the fields there would be no market for the illegals to flood into. But if there was a living wage in the fields only the rich could afford the groceries.
No really, before you start sending me hate mail, go out to the countryside and ask, why aren’t our kids competing for these jobs? Why do we have to have de facto slaves doing this work?
The next tomato you eat, contains the blood, sweat, toil and tears of the workers who come to do the work we don’t want to pay a living wage for, let alone give them the benefits their taxes pay for. And that’s slavery.
Amnesty for the immigrants? Don’t kid yourself that it’s about some patriotic reason. You just want to keep them down.
(…awaiting the hate mail now…)

Of all the candidates in either party, she’s the absolute worst choice at this time! America will be perceived by many influential nations as a country well on it’s way to self-destruction. That will also be my view if we’re collectively stupid enough to fall for Hillary’s blatantly phony act!

Gimme a freakin’ break. I’m not the hugest fan, but her saving grace in my opinion, is that she is going to work to undo A LOT of damage, and she’ll do it faster than Obama can imo. So that fact that she says it’s priority is good enough. Face facts people, you DO have to work through congress. Of the people who complain about Thompson, the majority of their disappointment stems from his supposed “lack of charisma”, or his older appearance. Are some people really so irresponsible? Are we voting based on charisma? Now, Hitler, there was a charismatic leader. The people deserve the leader they get.
I’m not looking for a glitzy leader. I want someone who’s best for our country. When I look at the facts, Thompson shines through.

I fear for my country because I think Hillary will win, In the end, we get who we vote for, and the American people will have no one to blame but themselves.
People will elect Hillary/Obama because they want to feel good about themselves, and what could make them look like better people than to elect the first ticket that features a woman and an African-American man ?
Never mind that the woman is corrupt and power-driven, and the man is a good-looking enigma. It’s all about feeling good, and voting for “change”. Change is all we’ll have left in our pockets, our bank accounts and our treasury if these two get to the White House (or back to the White House, in Hillary’s case).

Take a long deep breath!
We can’t deport 15 million illegal immigrants; it would be a disaster for the economy and cause enormous social upheaval and displacement. With record low unemployment, mass deportations would be a nightmare for the economy.
The reasons many of hispanic descent do not integrate into American society is because of the fear of deportation.
So…why not invite all who are here illegally to apply for either citizenship or guest worker status? If they are found to not be involved in crime, and have been making a positive contribution to our society, why wouldn’t we want them here?
This would help integrate the illegal immigrants into society (addressing concerns of a lot of people), enlarge the labor force, and make the US look good (for once!) in the eyes of the world. And…it’s the right thing to do.
The hysterics by Lou Dobbs et. al. do not help solve the problem. And offering mass amnesty without any sort of logical, rational approach is hysterics of the wrong kind, too.

I have to laugh. What is the case against Bush? Did the biggest natural disaster ever to hit the US have mistakes made? Yes. Did a major war run perfectly? No. Did the biggest terrorist attack ever on the US have severe economic repercussions? Yes. Does calling Bush a terrible president over and over make it true? No.
The true test will be the judgment of history. Bill Clinton will be judged a lightweight skirt chaser who road a bubble. Bush will be considered a courageous leader who actually worked at his job vs. trying to get as many BJ’s as possible.

As an independent, it’s always important to look at the record. Let’s look at Hillary’s record of accomplishment.
Feminist married to her ride to the top, smartest woman in the US but failed to pass the bar exam to be a lawyer in DC, obtained no job on her merits other than an internship for a San Francisco communist law firm, performed ably as an intern by searching for technicalities to get Black Panthers freed from torture and murder in CT, unable to obtain any offer for work in Arkansas until husband gains State Attorney General office, performed poorly in patronage job at Rose Law firm, led efforts to destroy all women who might go public on sex with her husband, thought to use sex with both men and women as a means for political power, sought to run a large portion of the US economy via healthcare with secretive illegal public meetings, turned the FBI on an innocent civil servant heading an apolitical job in the Travel Office, brought Craig Livingstone into the White House with hundreds of illegal private files on hundreds of establishment figures in Washington, Whitewater scam destroying numerous people including the elderly who “default” if missing one payment in 30 days, claims a conspiracy on anyone who doesn’t play along including a “real” questioner in Iowa, supports terrorists by pardoning known and convicted killers from the FALN, lied to New Yorkers stating 200,000 jobs would be created before leaving the role earned as carpetbag Senator, treats security detail including Secret Service members who put their lives at risk for her like dirt, stole hundreds of thousands of dollars of goods from the White House returning only a fraction, put herself on numerous store lists for supporters to buy her free furnishings days before Senate rules disallow illegal gifts, illegal fundraising activities from California Ron Paul case to international Asian crime and communist syndicates, Saul Alinsky radical disciple and seeker of power.
And last but not least, her core belief: complete and utter disregard for the American people on enforcing and protecting the nation’s borders due to a never ending thirst to obtain the votes of illegal aliens and thus the drive for illegal alien driver licenses.
That’s just a rough remembrance. But the accomplishments are so much more.

I’d have respect for Hill if she would have left Bill -who dumped all over her -especially after Monica…it goes to show she can’t stand on her own. She lost her moral compass long ago which means she’ll do or say anything to get her way. We need to expect more from our leaders.

All this discussion of non-issues by the campaigners makes me wonder why these people are running for office. Why aren’t they discussing strategy for winning in Iraq, beating Al Queda, winning in Afghanistan, global warming, the return of Russia to dictatorship, and the threat to liberty of the increasing secretive nature of our national government?
Why such a concern about undocumented immigrants? Unemployment rates are at a record low, and these guys are going to keep Social Security funded in the future; without immigrants to fill the gap, our declining birthrate will make it impossible to keep the system solvent.
Let them discuss *real* issues that we all need to be worried about, not this irrelevant tripe.

How can a political party choose a candidate that sparks this much controversary and hatred? The democrats and Hillary cares less how it divides the country. Get votes through lies and deceipt. If she were to be elected, God forbid…she will force her left wing ideals and say it was the will of the “overwelming” majority. Walt Q, she was booed in NY too. At the concert in NY after 9-11 she came on the stage and was roundedly booed. Strong, loud and ongoing from the friends and relatives of those lost including the NYC police and fire departments.
The local news media edited it into cheers. HBO released a DVD and also turned the boos to cheers.
The fix was in back then. And now Hillary says she will be the nominee and considers no loss possible.
She’s daring the voters to dare cross her coronation.
Since no one raises the facts of her “accomplishments” and no records of her White House first lady years forthcoming (she and Bill are powerless to change it, powerless to do so she tells us) the proletariat must do the “common good” and follow in lockstep.
Not much difference in her and the weak group of Democratic candidates on the issues but poor Obama, he doesn’t even know the woe that is to befall him.
You can sure of one thing. A heaping of hurt is about to fall on upon him. The Clinton mob does not permit interference on the coronation and its “religious” adherents in the media, here and elsewhere will do their part you can be sure.
Was it an accident that Rudy’s security detail became an issue from five years back a mere two hours before the Presidential debate. Anderson Cooper of course found time to ask about it.
Not an endorsement for Rudy, just a mere observation on the coincidence. Who is being served and why did Bloomberg release that information?
Yes, mayor Bloomberg, the upper east side liberal elitist who has so much in common with certain other candidates who look down upon the proletariat rabble.

What is so difficult for the Democrats to understand about illegal immigration? Americans don’t support it. And why are Hispanics – less than 8% of voters, dictating American policies. Shouldn’t all Americans have a say in immigration? When did Hispanics get to define immigration?

If I was a republican candidate (other than pathetic psuedo-conservative Giuliani), I’d make sure that IMMIGRATION was my #1 thing to attack any democrat candidate on.
“I’d deport them all.” will win you the election. The democrats “amnesty for all” will not.
Democrats will not win by saying “Iraq” and yelling “Bush”.
If the republicans vote for Giuliani, expect a democrat to win in 2008.

Mamie said “..nativism… Is that the new liberal word for protecting our borders? Guess racist didn’t work huh?”
The delicious irony here, Mamie, is that at illegal demonstrations you see a hell of a lot more Mexican flags than American. Isn’t that nativism? How about groups like La Raza, which means “The Race”? Isn’t that racism?
Or the Aztlan reconquistas who seek to incorporate five southwest American states back into Mexico? Isn’t that Imperialism?
You have to understand the double standards here. If an American protests illegals violating our sovreignty, that’s racism and nativism. If a Mexican illegal proudly waves the Mexican flag at a demonstration in a US city, or joins La Raza, or demands implementation of the Aztlan imperatives, that’s cultural diversity.
Got it now?

Is Annie advocating slavery? She said that we have a choice – accept more costly goods or live with the prices that, in her words, are cheap because we pay illegal immigrants less than $5. Is she proud of this? Isn’t that a subhuman view of people? Are humans to be viewed as labor? The US has brought the idea of dignity to labor by insisting on safety standards and fair labor standards. Illegal immigration is undoing this movement. We now have come to accept that we can pay people peanuts and treat them like crap. What kind of people have we become. Illegal immigration not only corrupts the illegal alien, it corrupts those of us who accept it. Those people who believe it ok to pay someone $5 and believe it ok to displace an uneducated American worker who might at least make $10 in the job are no different than the counterparts 400 years ago who advocated for slavery.
Shame shame.

Hillary continues to expose all the reasons why she does not qualify to be commander in chief and president of the United States. She’s dishonest and will only pander to the extreme elements which she needs politically.
After using FBI files against political foes when serving as first lady, wait till she has accessibility to all the intelligence services. She’s very scary. She’ll push for expansion of central gov’t, while pushing for open borders and freebies for the illegals.

Hillary is an artist. Her artistry is answering questions in such a way that all parties can project onto the answer what they want to hear, thereby upsetting nobody, and making her supporters think she is agrees with them on every issue (even where the supporters themselves don’t agree).
Unfortunately for the Clintons, that trick only works when nobody is on to it. It has become increasingly obvious that Hillary never answers a question directly.
Eventually, she will have to abandon the tricks and adopt a platform. When and if that happens, she could again become a viable candidate, but by then people could be so sick of her gamesmanship that they have lost interest.
I don’t have any idea if it is a good thing or a bad thing that her tricks are ruining her chances, because I have no idea what her stand is … on ANYTHING.

1) The concentration of wealth at the top income bracket and destruction of the middle class was done by the conservatives (Right) and shows contempt of the American People.
2) You said you were glad the internet is around. The internet was made available to everyone under CLINTON – the LEFT.
3) You said “If they are losing they try to change the rules.” When the Republican controlled senate wasn’t getting what it wanted, they threatened to change senate which would give them even more power and control.

Dear RW:
The internet was invented back in the 1950s as part of DOD. But it did not get the commercial backing you referred to until Clinton signed a telecom bill. According to Vincent Cerf, a senior vice president with MCI Worldcom who’s been called the Father of the Internet, “The Internet would not be where it is in the United States without the strong support given to it and related research areas by Al Gore as Vice President and in his earlier role as Senator.”
The inventor of the Mosaic Browser, Marc Andreesen, credits Gore with making his work possible. He received a federal grant through Gore’s High Performance Computing Act. The University of Pennsylvania’s Dave Ferber says that without Gore the Internet “would not be where it is today.”
Joseph E. Traub, a computer science professor at Columbia University, claims that Gore “was perhaps the first political leader to grasp the importance of networking the country.

Nadaspin, Here’s the problem: the Internet is an AMERICAN invention. No party can lay claim to it, no more than they could NASA space missions. I will credit JFK for the inspiration that drove space exploration forward, but it was tens of thousands of skilled technicians and engineers who made it a reality.
As for health care for all, we already have Medicare, Medicaid, SSI, and emergency assistance MUST be provided to all by law, regardless of ability to pay. This does not include the billions generated in charity for the Jimmy Fund, March of Dimes, the Red Cross and too many other NGOs to mention.
Here’s an innovative idea for cutting the cost of health care and provide funding for the uninsured: deny all but emergency assistance to anyone NOT an American citizen, and then make them pay, once care is provided, by any means legally available. How many billions you think we can save and then use to fund the uninsured?
As long as America is looked at as the Great Big Tit in this world, and for as long as politicians of BOTH parties seek to facilitate, enable and reward illegals with health care, education, Social Security and many other social programs, we will be unable to provide for our own citizens eventually and will bankrupt this nation, much as many hospitals along the so-called southern border have gone the way of the dodo.
Call me a racist, bigot, xenophobe, what you will. Those names are meaningless to me. When used, they only prove to me that whoever uses them has lost the argument, not to mention establishing their own liberal ignorance.
Find me a candidate willing to state those facts as fact publicly and I will vote for him or her. Until then, they’re all just talking out of both sides of their mouths, like Hillary with the NY illegal license gaffe. Bush is no better.
A novel idea: an American president who actually represents AMERICANS! They could make a movie about it, but who’d believe it?

I can’t imagine Clinton and Co getting the WH if there had been a viable internet when he first ran.
I remember the last 60 minutes I ever watched. It was a puff piece the Sunday before election. I still get nauseated when I think about it. There was no counter to that piece of trash and the gullible plus Perot gave us the Clinton disgrace.

To TheMadKing:
I agree on several points except healthcare. I have first hand knowledge of that mess. Medicare is not being bilked by the insured, it is being bilked by Doctors and other providers. And you are incorrect; medicaid is not available to everyone. Quick example of the mess: a simple surgical procedure to remove 1 x 1 patch of skin from scalp, took 20 minutes to complete. Hospital billed $8,000. My insurer forced them to accept $1,800. Without insurance, I would have had to pay the $8,000. Secondly, people are being kept alive on machines until they hit the maximum number of days Medicare will pay. Then the hospital tells family to unplug them or move them to another facility. It’s all about the money, and we are getting hit with the bill. Bush’s prescription plan was another giveaway to big Pharma. There is no negotiation on the prices. The system is broke. It is estimated that 60 cents of every healthcare dollar is for administration of claims (read that as “jacking up” the bill or denying the claim.) We gotta fix it somehow.

On the immigration mess: We have not has this many immigrants since the 1920s. Recent research showed 1 of 8 in the U.S. is an immigrant. While it is generally known that we allow 150,000 H1-B visas every year, we also allow them to come in on L-1 Visa, and that visa has NO LIMITS. Temporary staffing companies from INDIA set up offices in the U.S., then hire employees in India to fill U.S. jobs. They can “transfer” those employees here on the L-1 visa and displace higher paid Americans. Big corporations LOVE CHEAP FOREIGN labor. Until we fix that, we will have tons of legal and illegal workers. And if they work here on a legal Visa, they can claim Social Security benefits even as they return to India.

Mamie – I agree, go after employers. But so far that has not happened on large scale. Recently the Feds went after some low wage meat packing plants, but they haven’t touched the employers hiring high tech positions like engineers or I.T. Microsoft employs so many temp foreign workers they should establish an embassy in Bill Gates’ office. Gates is screaming he wants even more foreign workers. Meanwhile, most large employers are forcing employees into early retirement at 55, burdening our SS system. These are issues that aren’t just left/right or conservative/liberal. It’s a mess and we need someone who can cut through the special interests.

Dear Nadaspin,
“I created the internet.”
Signed Al Gore
Look you need an economics lesson. Lots of them in fact. Government doesn’t create wealth. No nation can tax itself to prosperity.
It can provide support and get out of the way. And there it needs to stay. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the internet.
You can be sure that it is no accident the howlings coming from leftists to stop freedom of speech, be it on the radio or the internet.
These totalitarians must be stopped. And they are on the record for saying same packaged as “the fairness doctrine” or taxing the internet, etc.

I highly recommend Bay Buchanan’s book The Extreme Makeover of Hillary (Rodham)Clinton. Chapter 2 regarding her character says it all! You need to read this book to see what Hillary’s proposed healthcare scenario would have entailed, like huge fines (thousands of dollars) if you were late on your payments. This is the failed healthcare system she proposed while she was “co-president.” Hillary is scarey. Really really scarey.

Interesting comments by Mike about”the rich class created by Republicans.” The ten wealthiest members of Congress are Democrats–Kennedy, Kerry, etc. How can they possibly appreciate problems of people who have to go to work every day to buy food, gas, homes? Harry Reid has blocked bill to tax hedge fund owners but will not deal with minimum tax which now covers many two income families because of inflation. Clinton has lived in a home furnished by government nearly her whole married life. Look for people who have supported themselves prior to this campaign for leadership.
Bill Clinton probably wouldn’t know the internet if he walked through it. His vp may have encouraged it, but not for the sake of the “average person”.

Truthfully, I am not a Hillary fan but much of the venom being spewed about her is partisan hyperbole. I might vote Republican if they would ditch their religious fanaticism and get centrist. They have lost their way to big corporate interests and right-wing neocon agendas. Huckabee is a Baptist Minister. That’s the last person we need in there. He will just heighten the religious wars in this country. Rudy? No way. We don’t need another philanderer in the WH. Romney? Talk about blowing in the wind, he makes Hillary look solid. McCain? He’s ready for the pasture, and he is a BushCo fan. We’d have just more of the same. We need a serious shakeup in Washington.

That is a move to remove power from people in the heartland because the most populated states just happen to the most liberal. If Queen Hillary loses the next election look for the Dems to really go full steam to overturn the current system we have and replace it with one that will guarantee that they will NEVER lose another election. If ever I’ve heard a Communist speak, it
is indeed, Hillary Clinton. All she talks about is taking from one and dividing your property and/or money to
someone else. If that isn’t communistic
I don’t know what it is. America had
better wake up fast and realize that her
past has always leaned to the Communistic view point. Her future is to turn America into a Communistic Country. A vote for Hillary will be a
vote to do away with freedom and take
everything Americans have and divide it
as she sees fit. I don’t believe that the American people will stand for this. They work for what they get and
if you don’t you are a lazy good-for-nothing bum .. yep, bumming off the work of others, including the Country. Those who have lived under Dictators and under the Communistic way of life have fought long and hard to escape. Americans are too smart for Hillary. They see thru her as if she were made of air. The reason she will not release her school papers is because she was a Communistic back in those days and she continues to be a Communistic today.
She just doesn’t want the American citizens to realize that until she is in
the White House and can’t do anything
about it! Watch what she DOES NOT SAY.
May God Bless America in these trying times ahead.

Great to read these posts and know that there are still plenty of American Patriots left in this wonderful country. Keep booing this evil harridan and run her out town.
My wife is an immigrant who came to the United States 20-years ago on an H1 visa. She became a U.S. citizen ten-years ago and I accompanied her to the immigration center that day. Though born in the USA, I decided to take the oath and was sworn-in along with hundreds of new immigrant American citizens. Really enjoyed that and greeted as many new Americans as I could. Perhaps as it shakes out, I may be considered both a “natural” and “naturalized” citizen of the United States? It took my wife a full ten years to become a citizen and she is a patriotic American who loves her adopted country. She was a dedicated member of the Republican Party until alienated by Bush and his arrogant cohorts with that illegal alien empowerment bill.
Bush and his minions have appeared on TV in a crude lie campaign hurling a barrage of insults and name calling against American citizens My wife, who opposes illegal aliens was infuriated for being called a “bigot” by Bush and his stooges.
Thankfully, justifiably angry American citizens raised so much hell against the politician scum in Washington, that the Kennedy-McCain amnesty bill crashed and burned.
Now we have these vulgar degenerate clinton criminals back again lusting after more power. Hillary, as a hateful anti-American subversive would find a path to citizenship for the illegal invaders. Reward law-breaking border jumping parasites at the expensive of the law-abiding citizens and legal immigrants. Let Hillary keep talking. The more decent people see and hear, the better they will know her. Then again, if you want to boo Hillary off the stage every once in awhile, that might be fun too.

PS> Illegal Immigration is not “immigration.” It is a crime and nothing more than border jumping without a visa. Legal immigrants pose no threat. Illegals do. Hence why people call them “illegals”; at least before political correctness was shoved down our throats in the 90s. By the way, all you liberals who care so much about the illegal “children” may not realize that your taxes already pay for a free public education, health care for these people by Supreme Court decision. As long as they are already wards of the paternalistic uber-state that my taxes provide, let them stay. Their parents can leave!

I’m sure you all remember that Hillary was front and center when the illegal immigrants were marching in the street with their Mexican flags to get amnesty legislation through the Congress. She was filmed cheering them on and the Democrat Party was registering them to vote. This will come back to bite her unless Rudy Giuliani gets the Republican nomination. His record is just as abysmal as hers. He was a New York Governor, who wanted all illegal immigrants to feel at home in his sanctuary city.

To Capt. Quahog: I am happy for you and your wife who immigrated here legally. But the system is full of those who are here on L-1′s or who found a lonely American to marry as a ruse to get citizenship. It was only a month ago that it was revealed that a high level spy was discovered and arrested. She was charged with some very serious breaches of security. And then we learned she got here by marrying an American citizen. It was a ruse to get into this country. I am not Xenophobic. I live in a metro area where many cultures are represented. However, the immigration system needs reform first and foremost by tightening the borders and laws and by taking the economic advantage away from Corporations who knowingly hire illegals or import cheap foreign labor. There are consulting agencies that advise our companies on how to get around the laws. That has to stop.

KFed stated “if the delgates were distributed by congressional district, GW would have one [sic] this state!”
And if the Supreme Court had not interfered, Bush would have lost. Two election officials in Ohio were covicted of rigging the election in 2004. But we can’t go into the future with “IF ONLY THINGS WORKED MY WAY” debates. If you are unhappy with California’s system you can work to change it, or move to a State that suits you. You might find this document helpful in understanding how the Electoral college works and and why it was developed. I’m sure it’s available online: THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE
by William C. Kimberling, Deputy Director FEC Office of Election Administration. One of the reasons it was developed was to curtail corrupt elections. Ironic isn’t it?

It’s called pooled risk. Insurers do it all the time. You put the bad risks and good risks into the same basket and share the risk. We do the same when we pay taxes to pay for roads, or when we pay for police and fire protection or National Defense. It spreads the risk out and we contribute to protect ourselves, our neighbors, and our country. At the end of WW2, 50% of our tax revenue came from corporations. That is now 7%. In the same year the ultra rich were in the 94% tax bracket. The top bracket is now 35%. The bills went up but it is the middle class who got hit with the tab and the rich reaped the benefit.

The same message needs to be sent to Hillary and all the rest of the socialists now running in the U.S.:
“CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) – President Hugo Chavez suffered a stinging defeat Monday in a vote on constitutional changes that would have let him run for re-election indefinitely and solidify his bid to transform this major U.S. oil provider into a socialist state.”

“And if the Supreme Court had not interfered, Bush would have lost.

First off, after ten recounts of the Florida vote, Gw STILL WON!!! I know how the Electoral College works, it was what got GW elected. There were enough small red states that went in GW’s favor to get him elected.! That’s why you commie loving libs want to change the system, to get rid of us “little” people, i.e. MIDDLE AMERICA.
Secondly, get over the “Supreme Court” thing, that is so “yesterday”. GW is not running this year. The court, with only one dissenting voice, agreed to stop the recount of the recount of the….
Just how did two election officials(out of probably hundreds) “fix” the vote??
Or maybe it was a hanging chad???
ONCE AGAIN get over 2000…or do you want an eleventh recount?
What is ironic is how you have yet to get over the 2000 election 7 years removed!!

Kudos to the GOOD people of Venezuela for renounceing Socialism. Just as what is about to happen in our great country in 2008, you have struck a mighty blow to Communism in the western hemisphere.
I expect the same from TRUE Americans in our upcoming election!!!
Nadaspin,
Even though our politics may be different, I have the utmost respect for the way you present your arguements! To bad more of your ilk can’t do the same!

None of it matters – Dems will not win the White House in ’08. We will have a GOP President, but it won’t be anyone in the so called ‘top tier’ and it won’t be Huck either. Voters are no longer rely on the media or candidates 15-30 second sound bites, they are actually looking into their records and past actions. A “correction” was made in ’06 and it will be done again in ’08.
People are ‘fed up’ with career politicians and intent to return our government to “the people” as it should be.

Hillary is #1 codependent addict and Bill is #1 sex addict needing treatment for his addiction. Obama speaks lof his drug use unabashedly and casually.
What’s with all the sex fiends and addicts running for the power in DC? Can’t we find one adult whose asthetic has a level of maturity past the narcisstic obsessions of delayed adolescence?

Hillary clinton knows that she is never going to become president, that,s why she did not give up her senate seat to run just as john kerry did he knew that he had to keep it for job security and hillary is doing the same she dont really want to be president she wants to remain in government the rest of her life so that she can be seen in public on tv and snafu things up for we real american people.

GO Hillary Clinton! God bless you and keep up the fight. This country needs your leadership, and it will be a historic day when you are elected the first woman President in our nation’s history.

Hopefully more people will realize that hillary is and has not been speaking the truth. She was probably the wind behind bills sails while in office and you can see what ‘promises’ they kept. She doesn’t want to be president, she wants to be queen of the world. – she is a globalist and socialist and anyone who thinks she won’t try to force these values on us if she is elected, is sadly mistaken. One day a woman should be president, but not this one. (and I am a woman)
As far as illegal immigration ANY candidate that is for making illegals citizens, not imposing fines on those that hire illegals and/or rent and those companys such as BOA that give credit cards without SSNs is NOT going to get my vote – I don’t care if it is a democrat of republican. take heed Washington, listen to what the preponderence of the public wants – close the borders and getting working on these illegals.

If Hil doesn’t win this election, she’ll not win another Senate election either! The people Of New York now understand just what she’s about, and they are fedup with her lies, and grandstanding. The Clintons should be behind bars for the things they have already done and got away with!

If our constitution is followed, everything would automatically fall into place! When that piece of paper was signed, there was only three laws on the books that would get you into trouble,(Life, Liberty, and The pursuit of happyness!)

I found the “my dog could govern better than what we have in there now” most interesting. Unfortunately, people who make statements like that have extraordinarily poor short term memory. We have had no more terror attacks in our country since 9/11, no more beheadings in other lands in years since we took out some of the evil leadership, people are returning in great numbers to Iraq who had previously been too afraid to stay, a brutal tyrant who had plans for mass destruction and had used weapons on his own people is gone. Oh my gosh – it has been so awful having President George Bush in control!!!

KFED complained about the electoral college system and then made the following statement: “That’s why you commie loving libs want to change the system, to get rid of us “little” people, i.e. MIDDLE AMERICA.”
The drive to change the system is being made in California by Conservatives, not liberals, and they are hiding it by packaging it in a referendum to fund Cancer research for children. They are selling it to voters as a benefit for children, but the real agenda is to change the electoral system. You can’t get much sicker than that, but that’s how Republicans have screwed middle class since Reagan. They bait voters and then screw them. Republicans haven’t been for the middle class since Eisenhower. Read up on how Kissinger and Nixon allowed oil prices to climb to benefit the profits of American oil companies, which screwed us over and drove inflation into double digits. Cheney is believed to have cut the same deal with oil companies but has refused to turn over documents related to his meetings with big oil when he took office. We have been fighting for 7 years to find out what kind of deal got made but Repubs have blocked all efforts.

KFED:
Regarding Gore v. Bush and Florida election results. There were 2 Supreme Court decisions, 7-2, and 5-4. If a partial recount had been done, Bush would have won. If a full recount had been done, Gore would have taken Florida and the Presidency.

Republicans want a real conservative for the next President, there is one out there, but he can’t seem to get traction. Maybe because the media doesn’t want him elected? Everyone should look seriously at Duncan Hunter. He is a true conservative and his stance on all the issues and his record as a Representative in the House for 20+ years, prove that he is conservative and would make an excellent President.

I live in Southern California, most of the time I feel like I’m living in a foreign place. 1. These elite politicians are either so isolated, they have no clue what the rest of us see.
2. They don’t care what we see.
3. They are pandering for votes from newly arrived ignorant law breakers.
4. All of the above.
What do you think??

Hillary shouldn’t be allowed to run for any office. They looted the White House when they left, and took all of the furniture! That should make her a criminal with a felony! Do you remember how they trashed the White House?

Today it is revealed the Barak Obama plagerized speeches and ideas, phrases, etc. from others’ speeches.
So he is a fraud. Not only does he not have any original words of his own but his “ideas” are probably plagerized too.
Does it make a difference? Certainly!!
It goes to character (lack thereof) for not crediting the original speech maker like “As my friend Deval Patrick has said……”
He knows by doing that, he can’t take full credit for being this BIG FRAUD INSPIRATION.
What else will he plagerize if he becomes President?
And this gives the repulicans something really HUGE to play with during the general election.
What else will be found out or even distorted (like the Kerry swiftboating) about him by the republicans?
