Romney Goes After McCain…Again
ABC News’ Matt Stuart reports: Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney focused his criticism squarely on Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., while campaigning in Henniker, N.H., Wednesday.
"Sen. McCain here, for instance, in N.H., attacked me on a personal basis in a mailing he sent out," Romney said while speaking with reporters. Romney argued his comments were only meant to "compare and contrast positions on issues," rather than attack on personal basis.
Romney’s criticism of McCain in N.H. follows directly with McCain’s rise in the polls, where Romney had enjoyed a comfortable lead for some time. A recent Boston Globe poll, however, shows Romney and McCain in a virtual tie.
According to campaign spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom, the mailing Romney referred to was issued by the McCain campaign, referring to illegal immigrants employed by Romney’s landscaper, working on Romney’s Belmont, Mass., property. Romney’s campaign claims this was a "personal attack," and that Romney couldn’t control who was hired by the company.
McCain responded directly in a statement today, saying of Romney’s comments, "It’s disappointing that he would launch desperate, flailing and false attacks in an attempt to maintain relevance."
Romney also didn’t rule out personal attacks in the future, saying, "I’ve had personal attacks launched on me both in Iowa and in N.H., and at this stage, I haven’t responded on a personal basis, but I’m not making any guarantees. I haven’t decided what we’re doing down the road."
Romney added that he shot the last of his commercials for N.H. and Iowa this morning. When asked if some of these "contrasts" need to come out in N.H., Romney said simply, "We’ll see."
Romney also used the opportunity to claim that he was the only candidate running in both Iowa and N.H., saying, "The other candidates, I think, have said, ‘well, I can only compete in one state.’"

Sen. DeMint: GOP Race Could Go Until Convention
Obama Avoids Questions on Contraception Rule
Mitt Romney is by far the most qualified candidate running from either party this year.
Our liberal MSM wolfpack press hates Mitt Romney and is working overtime to continue their smears, lies, and distortions related to this fine person.
I have looked very carefully at all the candidates and their records. NO ONE has the “proven actual performance” of putting together “great teams” in private, non-profit, and public sector areas.
I’m voting for Mitt Romney…..GO MITT!

I used to be for MaCain until he worked with Ted Kennedy on the immigration reform. He dissappointed me on the. I am definitely for Mitt Romney. The MSM wolfpack have tried to smear him ever since he said he was running. They have been shameless about it. Most of the media are for Barack Obama, and they know none of their democrat candidates can beat Romney so they are trying all their dirty tricks. I hope the people can see thru this.Mitt is the best candidate out there.

The economy is the top issue. If we want a strong economy, Mitt Romney is the right choice.

I agree this guy is flat out working everyone in every state, he does not just choose one state like the rest of the pack. Money or no money this guy seems to be working the hardest for my vote. I am a hard worker, and I like hard workers. I think it will take someone who works like Romney to beat a Democrat this year.

I like McCain he is an American hero and would make a fine president, however Mitt Romney will be a far superior president. He will make this country whole again and protect us better than anyother candidate. He will run this country more like a business and we all know what he did in business, a multi-million dollar success!! Go Mitt Go!!!!!

Glad to see the paid Romney bloggers are out in force. This is serial nonsense and not at all representative of the McCain position. I would prefer we have a serious discussion on this issue rather than demagoging it yet one more time. I expected more out of someone who got tarred with this issue too. The primary can’t come too soon!

Mitt Romney is the only candidate who will/can tackle the many problems facing this nation. I am voting for Mitt
and this crap about his face is foolish.
(Just look at his life & family)
GO MITT!

Will Mitt reverse the Bush Presidential Executive Order 13438 which states,
“Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq, issued. The order asserts the government’s power to confiscate the property “of persons determined to have committed, or to pose a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of threatening the peace or stability of Iraq or the Government of Iraq or undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq or to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people.”
With this order, the President can arrest and take the property of any American who protests the war, or who would dare trys to stop having our taxes used to rebuild bridges in Iraq that we destoyed.
The Bill of Rights is under attack. Save the Republic, vote for Ron Paul

It is clear and should be for ALL Republicans that Romney can not be trusted and will change his mind to get elected. He is a poor politician and the worst version of a flip flopper. The only reason he is in this election is because he is super rich.
He can’t win in the General Election. He couldn’t beat Kennedy in 1994 what makes any sane person think he can beat Clinton.

I respect McCain and his service to the country, but as I look for who the best candidate is for our President I see what McCain has done with McCain Feingold campaign reform and the dream act for immigration. I am afraid that we would have more of the same with McCain. We need change, a man that has a track record of values, experience and results in everything that he as done. I am voting for Mitt Romney!

Obviously ye haven’t ‘seen’ what McCain had done with reform and immigration whatsoever. A track record of Values for Romney? The man’s own State doesn’t even want him to live there anymore let alone move to the White house.

THERE IS A reason Mitt Romney has not received a single newspaper endorsement in New Hampshire. It’s the same reason his poll numbers are dropping. He is not only a Flip Flopper…but an OUTRIGHT LIAR. Working hard for votes? No, he is buying your vote and you’re being foolish enough to sell it to him very cheap

John McCain in EVERY poll in the Country is the ONLY Candidate that beats Hillary Clinton Hands Down. He is the ONLY candidate prepared to Lead this Nation and hold together the Reagan Coalition.
You need some serious serious help and education if you think Romney can be trusted in the White House.

With Mc Cain you will get amnesty for 10 million who broke the law With Romney
you get a president with a nice hairdo. aAs a disabled retired NYPD Officer I’ve had personal experience with Guiliani. He was elected using us as his main issue and then betrayed us by turning down adequate pay raises. He betrayed his church on abortion and two of his three wives. He betrayed the Republican party that nominated him by endorsing Gov Cuomo and almost endorsing Clinton. He will betray you on immigration & abortion if you give him a chance a leopord doesn’yt change its spots. I’m begging, yes begging the New Hampshire voters who have power to stop these american kids from dying in Iraq. Please vote for Ron Paul! Please! give peace a chance or at least give the rest of the country a chance to vote because the media will not tell his story unless he wins New Hampshire.

Why didn’t Mitt Romney called the Landscaping owner-manager and simply say, “Do not sent any undocumented person to work on the grounds of my home.” He was the governor of the state. What’s all this talk about he didn’t want to go outside and ask the workers if they were illegal. All he had to do was lay the law down with their boss.

I think Mitt is weathering the storm very well considering the attacks against him have been vicious over the past 2-3 weeks. The guy has grit. Hard working and able to lead and succeed through troubled waters. If he can unite and turn around our nation like he turned around the messy Olympics of ’02, I think he can make a real difference! I think he’s our next president. The Huckster just doesn’t look or feel like a leader to me, and McCain should have worked harder to get elected in 2000 – he’s just too old now. You have my vote Mitt.

Here we go again. Mitt gave the landscaper a second chance with the understanding that no undocumented workers would be on their payroll working his property. There are things that no homeowner should have to babysit.

You posters are barking up the wrong tree. There’s no way a Republican will win the Presidency unless it’s Ron Paul! He’s the only Republican that will receive votes from Democrats.

I hope Romney wins the Republican nomination, even though I can’t stand him. That will put his goofy, irrational belief system in the national spotlight for everyone to analyze. It will also insure a win for the Democratic candidate.

What is with the Romney pom-poms—I’ve got to tell you that Romney wouldn’t have a prayer against any of the Democrats–the flip-flopping is worse than Kerry. I’d go with McCain or anyone else over Romney. Romney for Treasurer. Not President. We can’t afford the electoral slaughter.

John McCain has seen a huge resurgence in his campaign of late do in large part to the endorsement he received from Joseph Lieberman. That means one thing to me – McCain, more than any other candidate, has won the support of “The Lobby” and its enormous resources.
What recent event resulted in such a significant change in McCain’s fortunes? Could it be the recent release of the National Intelligence Assessment? Could it be that “The Lobby” is now desperate for a true military hawk who’s willing to completely ignore the NIE. (McCain is a well known Maverick.) And “The Lobby” can’t dismiss the fact that John McCain co-sponsored the “Iraq War Resolution” back in 2002 with its favorite son, Joe Lieberman. Therefore, McCain, more than anyone else, has demonstrated his credentials in support of the “The Lobby’s” goals.
Many people saw Lieberman’s endorsement of McCain as an odd political move due to the fact that McCain is a Republican. But once you understand “The Lobby’s” true motivations, things that seem politically odd (at least at the surface), come into sharp strategic focus. Since the release of the NIE, the “Lobby’s” paranoia has increased and caused them to question their own influence. Due to McCain’s original and continued support of the Iraq war, he more than any candidate in the field stands out as a hawk and someone who would continue to take a hard line in the Middle East. “The Lobby” may now see McCain as the most likely candidate to go against US public opinion and act militarily on behalf of its chief constituent.

Willard Romney sounds more like Bush every day. Next he`ll be saying we “HATE” him because we don`t think a guy who avoided the draft should be considered for the presidency over a guy like McCain who answered the call of duty in Viet Nam. As a Viet Nam vet, my question is: why does Romney want to be president when he refused to defend his country?
