Clinton: “Si Se Pueda is Right”

ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., flew across the country to receive the United Farm Workers endorsement in Salinas, California on Tuesday. The Union, founded in 1962 by Cesar Chavez, represents 27,000 farm workers.

The Senator took the stage with bleachers filled behind her with UFW members wearing red t-shirts chanting "Si Se Puede!" Clinton who rarely utters Spanish to Hispanic crowds, shouted back at one point during her remarks. "Si se pueda is right! That’s right, yes we can!" Clinton used the wrong tense of the the word "puede," presumably accidentally to the crowd. Clinton has admittidly told audiences that her language skills are not her strongest suit and often referneces her french teacher from college who said to her her "Madmoiselle, your talents lie elsewhere."

Clinton included mentioning her five point immigration plan in the speech for this largely Hispanic crowd. Over 2,000 people attended the event and were very enthusiastic, many times during the speech people screamed "bring our troops home." At one point Clinton said "ill get to that."

Clinton heads to Phoenix, AZ to deliver an economic town hall meeting and then returns to Washington DC late this evening.

If Hillary wins the nod Dems are screwed. SHe already has no independent appeal. McCain has those. And now the 40% of the country the Dems have are split and her attacks are either pushing Obama supporters to support an independent (Bloomberg) or a Republican or not vote at all. THe bottom line is in terms of electability, the only chance Dems have is Obama or Edwards. Do the math.

That is why the Clinton campaign stole Obama’s “change” rethoric and “Yes We Can” rhetoric…

Hopefully, Hillary can get the nomination so that a Republican can get into the White House….AGAIN!!
Bill,

Ill vote for te devil himself before I ever votr for another Clinton. A post from another form.
If Obama is going to have a chance to
win this thing, he is going to have to come off of his defensive position and go after the Clintons. This whole country is waiting for someone to tell the truth about the Clintons and stop tip toeing around it. If Obama was to say something like …. Bill and Hillary have already had 8 years … and yes, the economy did well, partly because of their work and partly because of what happened in Sililcon Valley. But they had 8 years to pass health care reform, and failed … had 8 years to reform immigration, and failed … had 8 years improve the long term condition of Social Security and Medicare, and failed … Had 8 years to really do something about America’s failing schools, and failed … had 8 years to put in place an energy plan that would lead us to energy independence, and failed. They passed all these unsolved problems on to President Bush just like Bush and Reagan passed them on to them and just like Bush II is goiing to pass them on once again. Instead of solving these problems, the Clintons got bogged down in scandal after scandal and the situation with Lewinski that completely distracted them from their real responsibility. They had their chance … they had 8 YEARS! It’s time to turn the page and move on. It’s time to stop the politics of destroying the other side. It’s time to pay attention and acknowledge why half the country has such an unfavorable opinion of the Clintons. HALF THE COUNTTRY! These people are not our enemies, they are our neighbors, our co-workers our fellow Americans and many of them absolutely can’t stand the Clintons. It’s time for real change, not 4 more years of what the country already rejected back in 2000.

She will sell out the country, The Constitution and individual rights to get her Marxist agenda installed by giving or attempting to give amnesty to the illegals. She is a gun grabber and has a very checkered legal past.
Any one who thinks that government is here to help you is truly ignorant or an elitist who wants a parasitic government job.

her initial polling will be about the same as bush.
she knows nothing on economics, executive talent, managing (ANYTHING), military, healthcare or leadership.

Here Marxist plans will further isolate the U.S. trade and business. If elected she will only last one term, if not having a hissy fit and hitting the nuke button. Didn’t you last say no way to that Mockey Spitzer’s plan. How can you face these illegals, accept their endorsement, and say “SE SE PUEDA”, when you won’t even give them a Driver’s Liscense?

I believe the Clintons are good people when it comes to the common good of the Nation. What I see with Mrs. Hillary Clinton is that she is a smart and intelligent woman and does not want to be remembered as she was when they left the White House. That being said I see the other Democrats (Edwards and Obama) are two very capable individuals. I am saddened at the squabbles and vitriolic outbursts between Obama and Clinton. We do not need that in this horrible age. I for one would give my vote to a Republican who has his house in order and not based on religion only (p.s. I am a life long former Democratic voter).

Hillary isn’t the first or the last person to make a grammatical mistake in a foreign language. Some of you might remember JFK’s mangling of German during his now legendary visit to West Berlin. Where are all the high ranking Latinos in Obama’s campaign? That’s right, there aren’t any. Hillary has Patti Solis Doyle as campaign manager. Hillary’s commitment to Latino issues isn’t just a superficial.
People are sick and tired of Katrina George and his corrupt ilk. Come this November Hillary will make history as the US’ first female president. We’re only 34 years behind Latin America in that progressive step. Who knows, maybe in a few years we’ll have affordable health care and real living wages.

She is getting roughly half the vote, so what is your point? If this were the general election, she would be:
-100% for Repub. voters and
-50% of Dem. voters
How do you think she will be able to pull off a win with only half the support of Dem. voters? You all don’t understand, we won’t just forget we don’t like her. No, she doesn’t have our support now and she won’t then. And she won’t win with just a portion of Dem. votes and very few Indep(many of whom HATE her too). Face it, shes hated.
Currently, only Bush has higher unfavorable ratings than Hillary. I hope like crap she can register Hispanics by Nov. Oh, and you better know, we all will be checking to make sure they are legal!

It would be very interesting if Hillary is going to tell the “United Farm Workers” should not follow the Union endorsement of her but vote freely, in the same way she told the Culinary Workers of Nevada.
She doesn’t tell the truth to hispanics about immigration. Obama at least tells exactly what he wants to do, not that it is pleasant, but he has not double talk. And his stance is really good for all involved in this extremely difficult issue. You get out of the shadows, without fear of being deported, you will not!, but you recognize you came illegaly, pay a fine (it should be a reasonable one, for sure) and start your legalization process at the end of the line and start to learn english. I find this a very honest approach that can give hope to those who really want to be american citizens.
Hillary is just lying to get your vote. No the votes of the illegals, but the vote of the legal hispanic citizens that quite often have a relative that is not.
I find Obama to be by far the best choice for the democratic nomination.

R. Sheffield: I am a schollar too, with a degree in “Lengua Española” (UNAM, 1975). I have traveled and lived in most of the spanish speaking countries in the world. I am a writer and speaker.
The “si se pueda” makes no sense. If you really want to use that, you have to add something to make sense out of it. The best could be: “que si se pueda”, but to make of it a working slogan in the situation we are talking about, is really a big stretch.
I am J. Perez Acosta, no Debbie.

i saw a previous note on bill richardson for VP. richardson has spent so long impersonating a mexican he thinks he is mexican. well, ol’ william is lying. dad was a banking executive in mexico city who was screwing his secretary (what’s with this behavior? “EFFING” the help) so mama was flown to pasadena, CA where billy boy was born as a ‘mer-I-can’ citizen.
the boy was extremely wealthy and privileged and attended by servants, nannies and private tutors. he attended private schools.
upon daddy’s return to boston, yes a boston brahmin. lil’ bill attended more private schools and tufts university and then grad school. bill avoided the military with a deviated septum, which is a minor out-patient procedure.
then when it became fashionable bill richardson (probably a closet republican) moved to NEW mexco and started impersonating a mexican rather than a wealthy overweight banker’s son from boston who to that point had never held gainful employment.
bill, was your dad screwing his employee at work?

It is not like we are saying pick this guy. We are saying there are two people, pick either one! But they only want her. They don’t understand pure and basic math. I’m thinking they think it will all blow over. Dude, why would we let this go and suck it up and vote for someone we don’t feel is right for the nation? I would rather vote with the Repub. than vote for that hag and I will if she is the nominee! Talk about being stupid and unreasonable. Anyway, liked the post and it was exactly what I have been saying. The Clinton’s win at all cost will bite the party in the butt and the damages will be felt for a long time.

Jason- Good luck finding a Repub to vote for either. As far as I can make out the lot of them are just as morally bankrupt as Hillary. All of them, Dem and Repub alike, voted for this giant mortgage bustout.
A bustout is of course when the mob takes a formerly legit business, runs it deep into debt while selling the goods out the back door and then burns it down for the insurance money.
That’s what they helped to do to the banks with this crazy mortgage debt, and guess what? YOU are the insurance company.
Of course they did the same thing to the middle class by exporting our jobs, so it can come as no surprise that they would feel no worry about the destruction they are wreaking. Remember, those jobs are never coming back! Education! Yeah, that’s the ticket for you proles! We dem limousine liberals and repub inherited wealth dark princes will pay for you all to get masters degrees in political science!
See you in the bread line in 09.

The Politico weblog made the same translation error. If Hillary would have read my posting, correcting their mistake, she wouldn’t have confused ‘puede’ with ‘podemos’. I don’t want such an out of touch person as president.

Go Hillary! Si se puede! You know you got the Latino vote in California…and not only those that are employed in farm labor, but also those who are employed in other professions, such as the Department of Corrections, California Teachers Association, Classified School Employees Association, Fire Fighters, municipal workers, and much more! Your track record definitely out weighs any other candidate. In addition, you have a plan, not just rhetoric, to implement “change,” which has consistently been communicated to the public. Unlike Obama, who offers enticing rhetoric about “Hope,” yet provides little information on how he plans to deliver and accomplish his promises! Truth is, I gain a lot more hope when I hear Hillary’s practical plan on how she will address the issues.
I applaud Senator Clinton’s candor, tenacity, and perseverance during this campaign. She rose above all the attacks and criticisms like a true champion. By contrast, Obama is whimpering and whining his, “Poor ‘lil ole me, and why is everybody pickin’ on me” speech! I guess he is the one who needs the handkerchief now to dry those crockadile tears! Looks like his campaign has suddenly become “depressing!”
In reality, he gloated and slung mud at Hillary after the Iowa Caucus. Now it’s his turn to experience a much needed reality check.
If he is so fragile to be frustrated over the slight criticism encountered by Bill Clinton, just wait unit the Republicans and the rest of the world get a hold of him! He will probably be coward over in a corner somewhere!
Looking forward to Super Tuesday!

Give me a break! I am Latina…second generation born in this country. I am fluent in English, but definitely extremely limited in Spanish! So why would ANYONE expect Hillary to speak Spanish flawlessly! The critics on this website definitely must be from the Obama camp! Hey…I haven’t heard him try to speak Spanish lately!
Reality check…We Latinos are not that complicated (thank God!) We can recognize when a message is coming from the heart and when it is not. In other words, we don’t have to resort to the Webster Dictionary to define whether a person is genuine! Come on, how pathetic is that? Don’t insult our intelligence!
Go Hillary…Super Tuesday!

It’s not her misuse of the grammer, which she changes all the time, along with her accent, to play to her audience. If she chooses to do that for her black, white, southern, northern, asian, indian, eskimo, California surfer, etc. audiences, then fine.
The Spanish case is funny because the form she used basically put the words “we might or might not” in front of everything she said, leaving the door opened to do whatever she wants without breaking any promises.

Posted by: Tom | January 23, 2008, 2:52 am 2:52 am

What does this mean …”si se pueda?”
I think this translates into yes you can. You can what? I don’t get it. If you have the vote and are legal, yes you can vote. What does this mean? It is put here as something in addition to the legal right to vote.

Posted by: Jane | January 23, 2008, 3:16 am 3:16 am

I’m about ready for bed, but I thought I’d put down in English what I tried to say above in 40-year old, mangled Spanish: I think Hillary started talking about MLK needing LBJ, etc (what did that mean???–’Obama is Black!!’), to get more Latino and White votes. She used an Obama slogan–she couldn’t say it right, but she doesn’t care. She thinks she has Latino votes whether she tells the truth or lies. And she’s not in South Carolina any more. She hopes that Blacks will vote for Obama in South Carolina, and, as a result, Latinos and Whites will vote for her in other states. I hope that YES..Latinos CAN see that Hillary only wants to use them for their votes. I learned Spanish in school in about 1968..I’m sure I’ve forgotten most of the rules, words, etc..but I tried to write in Spanish, not just repeat some of it without understanding it.

Bill Clinton is one of the luckiest Presidents in American history. With his retroactive tax increases that hit rich and poor alike, making Social Security benefits taxable, and Hillary’s socialistic universal health care fiasco, Bill Clinton was well on his way to becoming a one-term President. Five people, and the media, saved Clinton from certain doom.
Clinton’s first savior was the media. Our left-leaning media just worshipped the ground Bill Clinton walked on, and I think they spent an extraordinary amount of time convincing the American public that things were better than they actually were, and that Bill Clinton was a greater President than we believed.
Clinton’s second savior was Newt Gingrich. The Republican takeover of Congress saved us from the nightmare of Hillary’s health care ideas, and gave us more fiscal responsibility than we would have seen with a liberal Democrat President and a liberal Democrat controlled Congress. Gingrich also provided for Clinton and his media supporters a scapegoat for everything going wrong in the country, and actually made Clinton look better.
Clinton’s third savior was Dick Morris and his triangulation strategy, and the concept of governing by polls. If you are governing according to what the polls say the people want you to do, naturally, the people will love you as a leader.
Bill Gates was the fourth savior for Clinton. When Windows 95 came out, people started snatching up PCs left and right, because now they felt that they were easier to operate than before. This opened up the internet, and a great commercial opportunity for business that didn’t exist before. Most of the economic growth in the 90s came from the computer and internet explosion started by the release of Windows 95.
Alan Greenspan was the fifth savior to Bill Clinton. Greenspan’s lowering of interest rates affected personal savings. Interest rates on personal savings accounts and CDs fell to ridiculously low levels. In order for many to get a decent return on their investment, they turned to the stock market, and invested in the newly forming internet corporations, which further encouraged economic growth, but with so many uneducated people investing in the stock market, financial disaster was always just around the corner.
Bill Clinton’s sixth savior was Bob Dole running for President in 1996. Bob looked old and tired standing next to the younger and more energetic Bill Clinton, and the man lacked charisma. If the Republicans had run a younger and more energetic candidate, especially one who knew how to hit Clinton hard in debates, the GOP probably would have retaken the White House in 1996.
So, Bill Clinton owed a lot of his “success” to outside forces. He was by no means a great President, regardless of how much the media may want you to think he was. Hillary is simply trying to cash in on this. Hillary is even more liberal than Bill, and I don’t think she can count on as many saviors of her Presidency as Bill had.

“Clinton has admittidly told audiences that her language skills are not her strongest suit and often referneces her french teacher”.
Clinton’s language skills not good? How about the reporter’s? A professional writer should not make three spelling mistakes in one sentence (admittidly, refernece, and french should be capitalised), and an editor shouldn’t have let them slip by.
Later we get ‘At one point Clinton said “ill get to that.”‘ Presumably she said “I’ll get to that.” English is her first language, right?

The nation really reviles Hillary Clinton. That she is a female who was or perhaps still is married to a former President seems to be her only “qualifications” for any candidacy for anything. Whoever it is who is supporting her has interests contrary to our nation, I can reasonably say that much. But, what’s going on with her responsibilities to the U.S. Senate? I mean, she’s supposedly a Senator, what’s she doing for our nation in that regard? Getting more facials on the public dole?

Republicans hate Clintons because Clintons personify the politics of personal destruction which Republicans use against their democratic opponents. Clintons are in republican mould. Other democrats are too nice to fight tit for tat. Republicans will fry Obama in general election. Try against Hillary, she will make sure to bring her opponent down.

First, SI SE PUEDA, sounds ridiculous to a native speaker and it is grammatically incorrect. SI SE PUEDE is the imperative form and not the subjunctive. First, the Clinton’s campaign team and herself should go back to college. Second, it is very easy to achieve power based on the ignorance of the common citizen, history has proven it. The U.S.A needs 3 powers to govern the Federal Republic: the executive(president), the legislative(congress) and the judicial one(courts) in a very well designed system of check and balances, where they are constantly checking each other. Hillary can promise anything she wants but she can’t do it alone, that happens only in dictatorships! So, stop believing all of those empty promises; with a Republican congress, she won’t be able to do anything, while Obama WOULD because he appeals to the whole nation! That is his strength, whether the Clintons and supporters like it or not.

Casey wrote: Welcome to the new Clinton era guys, get used to it, or you’re going be miserable for the next eight years. If you decide to go off yourselves because Clinton is President, guess what? The world will not tilt on it’s access, and will continue to spin without you!
My response: Brilliant. That’s the rhetoric you get from the supporter of a woman who wants to truly unite the country? In other words, “We’re going to do what we want, so screw the rest of you.” That’s great, Casey.
This is why people dislike the Clintons and their supporters — they speak with forked tongue. That is why even though I voted for Gore and Kerry, I promise you I won’t vote for Hillary Clinton, even if it means supporting someone like McCain. Thanks for reminding us, Casey. You’ve done the country a real service with that reality check.

“From a Dem”, your comments are on the money.
Obama shouldn’t be running scared from the Clintons nonsense, he just has to take control of this conversation and stop seeming defensive. He is on the side of right and reason. He just has to make his case and people will respond and choose light over darkness and cynicism and lies.

Posted by: folk_astronomy | January 23, 2008, 8:02 am 8:02 am

I have serious issues with first a husband being president, and then his wife. I have a feeling a constitutional amendment may be needed. A potential of 16 years of a wife and husband doesn’t seem like a great idea.
I would also encourage Democrats to do the math. Visit Real Clear Politics and see how the polls are shaping up. McCain is the front runner for the Republicans now. He is getting the Independent vote and if you look at general election polls he is felt to be the one person who can defeat Hillary out of all the Republican candidates. On the other hand, Obama is the one Dem who can beat McCain.
I have a dear friend who is a Democrat and spends a lot of time talking to me about the conspiracy of the Republicans to rule the world and fix the elections. I want the Dems to win just to nip that kind of thought in the bud! So please, look at the big picture, look at the animosity across the country towards Hillary and Bill and then make the choice that has the best chance of getting the Dems into the White House.
BTW, I am an independent with conservative leanings. But I will vote for whichever candidate I think will do the best job. Hillary is definitely not in the running.

Americans have reason to be wary of one-sided agreements that allow everyone from the Third World to come here and us to go nowhere as the country falls more firmly into the Third World. Even so, a little undercutting by cheap migrant labor won’t hurt as badly as a trillion dollar worthless war.

Does she understand that the group that she is pandering to doesn’t actually have the right to vote? Although there are a small minority that can vote and are legal, pandering to a fringe group that doesn’t have legal rights is just alientaing those in the majority. Any glimmer of hope she had to get my vote was lost with this cheap tactic. I appreciate Obama for not pandering to African-Americans, nor illegals. He has my vote.

The Clintons are the worst couple since Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie and Clyde only shot and killed several people in their lives of crime but Hillary and Bill have bigger goals. They are out to end America as we all knew and loved her. They want an elitist few to tell all of us little people how to eat, how to dress, how to keep weight off. Look at the way smokers have become public enenmy. Then think about the current war of fat. They are Socialists/Marxists with no particular love of the people here. They don’t love Hispanic people or Blacks or Native Americans. They love themselves only and want the power back in their hands. I hope she wins the nomination and the people of this nation rise up, wake up and then defeat this dragon-like pair forever.

Watch out for the dirt on Obama by the republicans.
If Obama cannot fight for the nomination like a grown up man then he need to be out of the race. He and Edwards started the personal fights for over 1 month without a response from Hillary. Now that she is returning the favour, he is whining. If what they said is not correct, then correct them and move on with your message. Stop whining. All Americans (White, African-American, Hispanic, Native American)need to do their homework about the candidates and then vote for the one they believe can do what that person wants their next President to do for them. I want a President who supports Democratic issues (health care, jobs, getting out of Iraq). I also want a candidate that is able to play well with others so that some of those Democratic issues can be successfully passed. Barack Obama is the only one who passes both those tests. One of the most eye-opening experiences I have had in my lifetime came when I worked for Citizenship and Immigration (successor to INS), interviewing the Adjudication Officers and CIS lawyers around the country. One of their main concerns had to do with the number of illegals who were voting (which would disqualify any green card/asylum/citizenship petitions), and what to do about it.
I am starting to get the sneaking suspicion that garnering illegal votes is a conscious Dem strategy. I’m not sure what other issue you could raise to pander to people like the Farm Workers, who clearly don’t even speak enough English to understand the debates, i.e., just tell them “if you vote for me (wink wink) I’ll let ya’ in the back door for free!” en Espanol.

Just to comment to legalatina: Obama has been explicit: No amnesty to illegals, period. They have to come out of the shadows, pay a fine, learn english, go to the end of the line; else: be deported. He is the only one that is looking for a balanced solution to one of the most difficult issues to solve in America today. Besides he talks about securing the border, enforcing nobody hires an illegal worker and build a continental policy that may help boost the economies of the countries from where most illegal migrants come. I think his is the best approach. He is not courting latinos, he is just telling the true, unlike Hillary. Obama recognizes the imposibility of massive deportation along with the deep emotional dammage it will create to families in which one or more members are here not legally. Realism is important and he is as pragmatic as one can be. I have made my mind: Obama is the one I will go for.

Many wonder about the spanish thing. It is a cultural thing. Many of hispanics first and second generation speak good spanish if not perfect, most understand everything, many have relatives in the latinamerican countries and then it helps to keep the spanish alive. But the true is that most of them if not all, speak english well or perfect. In that sense most hispanics are bilingual and that is always a good thing, culturally speaking is a plus. Now we like and enjoy to sprinkle some spanish when we talk amongst us. It is fun and gives some sense of community. In places like California or Texas, Anglos love to use some spanish on a regular basis: buenos dias, gracias, si!, mucho, adios… Most americans have no problem with that. Apparently some do!
That’s America!

Wonderful. I’m a Democrat looking at another four to eight years of Republicans in the White House. There is no way independents will vote for Hillary Clinton. Plus she rallies the Republican base and lot of the Dems I know won’t vote for her. I wish the Democratic party would start seeing that reality.

Interesting that “Yes we can” is a slogan Obama has already been using – including “si se pueda” in front of Hispanic crowds. Democrats need to reject the Clinton’s dirty politics.

Hillary can’t match John McCain for Hispandering to the illegal alien vote. Just watch a true Liberal Democrat like McCain get all the illegal alien scum in the Florida Republican Primary to support him.

There is a little irony in an article pointing out Hillary’s slight linguistic faux pas, stating “…and often referneces her french teacher…”
Presumably Hillary doesn’t have a spell checker on her brain’s speech center. The author of this article has no such excuse.

Didn’t the author of this article use spell check. There are at least two misspelled words in it. I would expect better from ABC News.
Also, Hillary didn’t use the wrong “tense” as the author claimed, she used the wrong “person”. Correctly translated, the UFW slogan is “Yes, you can!” Not, “Yes, we can!” (I can’t help myself–I use to be a school teacher.)
I admit I am not a fan of the Clinton’s. Never in my 62 years have I seen politicians rise to the level of the public offices as Hillary and Bill have done who have less respect for the truth. They will say anything–anything to achieve their goals. Truth be damned!
Here’s one simple example of their dishonesty: Before the Clintons left the Whitehouse when did a former first couple have to return hundreds of the “people’s gifts” that they took as their own? Yet Bill and Hillary had to, once the press caught wind of it. Never before did this happen–not even during Nixon’s untimely departure.
Her mistranslation of the UFW slogan is symbolic of the genuine level of empathy she has for their interests. It ain’t much!

Isn’t this just beautiful Democrats are tripping all over each other in order to pander to ILLEGAL aliens. They can’t wait to get into office and open the flood gates even further! Never mind what it’s doing to our nation they could care less as long as they get more votes they’ll gladly FLOOD our country with third world uneducated workers because they know they break democrat 6 to 1.
UNION WORKERS! HOW IS DEMOCRATS NOT SECURING THE BORDERS AND FLOODING OUR COUNTRY WITH THIRD WORLD WORKERS GOING TO HELP YOUR WAGES!!!!!! WAKE UP AND SNAP OUT OF IT YOU FOOLS. So what Hillary is going to jack up our taxes and give you “universal” health care but you’ll be making $9 an hour so who cares!
Our hospitals, our schools, and our social services are already being crushed by 12 million ILLEGALS and the democrats can’t wait to let them all bring their family member so we’ll have another 12 million on top of that! I can’t even go to the bank or the grocery store without feeling like I’m already in Tijuana! TB and even incurable TB cases have gone through the roof in the county where I live and gee the county just can’t figure out why! It costs anywhere from $5,000 to $250,000 to treat these cases who do you think is paying for it… we are the taxpayers!!!!!
Every democrat candidate says they want to attack American corporations by jacking up corporate tax rates. I work for a giant corporation. How is Hillary and the rest of them taxing my company more going to help them hire more people or give me a raise! We already have second highest corporate tax rate in the world next to Switzerland so I guess the democrats do at least want us to be first at something! It sounds like the government is being greedy to me!
They say they want to punish the greedy rich people by jacking up their taxes. When in reality these greedy rich people are really small businesses. Small businesses are currently creating 70% of American jobs. HOW IS JACKING TAXES UP ON SMALL BUSINESSES GOING TO CREATE ANY MORE JOBS IN THIS COUNTRY!!!! How is democrats punishing these S-corps going to allow them to hire more people or give anyone a raise!
Democrats say they want to punish the greedy oil companies for gouging us at the pump! Exxon makes 6 cents on the dollar on their product. This is exactly in line with all other fortune five hundred companies and Hillary says she wants to confiscate their profits… and do what with them? Hand the money out! This isn’t communist China! Here’s the really funny part of all of this and its democrats say they want to punish the evil oil companies for gouging us and right now they’re ones that want to institute a 50 CENT PER GALLON GAS TAX TO FIGHT NON EXISTENT MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING!!!! And democrats never shut up about big oil and their profits and they’re going to line up to vote for a bunch of democrats that are going at add 50 cent a gallon to their gas! Talk about useful idiots!!!!! Karl Marx is laughing his head off right now.
Democrats say they want to more than double the capital gains tax from 15% to 35%. Yeah, that’ll really help businesses and the stock market! HEY YOU RETIREES THAT ARE THINKING ABOUT VOTING FOR A DEMOCRAT!!!! YOU’RE GOING TO GET SCREWED BY THIS BECAUSE YOU’RE LIVING OFF OF YOUR PENSION FUNDS THAT ARE IN THE STOCK MARKET AND YOUR STOCK PORTFOLIOS AND DIVIDENDS!!!!! WAKE UP YOU IDIOTS!!
Democrats say they’re for energy independence when they’re the one’s that have blocked the building of every new refinery and nuclear power plant in this country for the past 40 years! THEY’RE THE ONE’S THAT WON’T LET US DRILL THE LARGEST OIL FIND ON THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT IN ANWAR! THEY’RE THE ONE’S THAT WON’T LET US DRILL OFF OUR COASTS IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND CALIFORNIA AND YOU IDIOTS KEEP VOTING FOR THEM!!!! If Bill Clinton hadn’t vetoed driling in ANWAR 12 years ago the oil would already be flowing! Enough to replace what we get from Hugo Chavez and the democrats have just blocked it again along with the incredibly stupid Mccain the lone RINO at their side!
Democrats say they’ll protect our nation from terrorism when they spend all their time in the House and Senate more worried about terrorists rights than listening in on their phone calls trying to find out where they’re going to strike next! They put on their hijabs and go have tea with countries that are actively involved with killing our troops and they say they want to negotiate with a mad man that’s clearly stated he intends to commit genocide against an entire race of people and he’s rushing towards a nuclear weapon that could do the trick! We all know these Middle Eastern countries MOCK weakness and that’s all the democrat party has to offer!!!!!
Over 60% of our national budget is being devoured by entitlement programs! We’re literally drowning our nation with this nonsense! Social security, medicare, medicaid, prescription drugs, it’s ALL UNSUSTAINABLE!!!!!! So what’s the democrats solution? Let’s throw universal health care FOR ALL AMERICANS ON THIS HEAP OF DESTRUCTION! They could care less what it will do to our ecnomy and the future of our nation as long as they can buy a few more votes. Democrats actually having half our country now believing they shouldn’t have to work for something just vote for democrats and they’ll take it from one man and give it to another. They have half our country believing they should actually get something for nothing. They have half our country turned into little chirping socialists with their mouths open waiting for momma govt to come feed them in their nests. They can’t do anything on their own without Hillary coming to wipe their little bottoms for them and hold their hands!
It’s pathetic, it’s disgusting, and it’s UNAMERICAN!!! I don’t see how any self respecting man or woman can vote for this democrat party of today. Its become a party of misfits and malcontents. All I hear from them is whining and complaining like a big bunch of loser cry babies that can’t fend for themselves in life. Where have all the REAL men gone? What a joke.
In the meantime Republicans all say they want to lower taxes including corporate rates so that we can generate more jobs!

Nominating her would be the dumbest thing Democrats could do. She would energize the GOP like no other Democrat could, and she doesn’t have the perception of trustworthiness that independents seem to value.
Even if she wasn’t polarizing her own party, she’d have very little chance in the general election. And the worst part is that Democratic candidates further down the ticket in competitive districts would pay the price.

In fact, that’s a pretty easy prediction to make. Nominate Clinton and not only will the Democratic Party lose what ought to be an easy run for the White House, they’ll lose the House of Representatives.
I’m not sure about the Senate because I haven’t bothered to look who is up this time around. But the House… that bet would be easy money.

If its not her, then who? The Republicans? If so, why? The only thing that would seem to make sense would be because they’d rather run against Clinton.

In the meantime Republicans all say they want to lower taxes including corporate rates so that we can generate more jobs! Lower corporate tax rates would even encourage other nations to build factories here for more manufacturing jobs!
Republicans want to secure the borders and enforce our laws. Turning back the tide of uneducated third world workers that have flooded our nation and driven down wages! Doing this will not only raise real wages but it will ease the burden on our entitlement programs. THAT ALL OF US HAVE TO PAY WITH OUR TAXES!
They want to drill off our shores and build nuclear power plants and they want to drill in ANWAR so that we can become energy independent! The caribou’s breeding habits are not more important that our country’s economy and our national security! They’ll do just fine with less then half of 1% of the reserve being used for oil exploration!
They want to lower taxes so more S-corps (small businesses) can expand, hire more people, and afford to pay them more.
They want to go after the terrorists and let them know in no uncertain terms there will be consequences if you attack us not cutting and running, negotiation, hijabs, and tea and falafels!!!! You attack us and the price you pay will be severe!!!
They’re not going to punish our oil industry or pharmaceutical companies for making profits. Pharmaceuticals are one of the last products the United States actually has an advantage at right now with China and democrats are hell bent on destroying and tearing down that industry! Why is that? Just for fun and to scapegoat them as big bad boogie men! The American pharmaceutical industry has saved more lives than Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama ever has with their stupid empty political rhetoric!
Leave our American corporations alone they’re what’s driving our economy and our nation and attacking them with higher taxes does nothing for our country except harm it!!! It’s not rocket freaking science to see that!
How is raising taxes on oil companies and confiscating their profits going to lower gas prices!!!!
All democrats do is play the class envy and racial division card every election. How is that going to help anyone in their life? Democrats were in office for 40 years they were in control from the 60s to the mid 90s and how did everyone lives improve? We were destitute when by the time Ronald Reagan finally took over and turned things around with across the board tax cuts and now democrats are mocking him and saying they fought him and his policies every step of the way!
How do you Reagan democrats out there feel about these statements since you voted for the man… TWICE. Until Reagan got in the democrats had DECIMATED OUR MILITARY AND THEY’D DESTROYED OUR DOMESTIC OIL PRODUCTION WITH PRICE CONTROLS AND WINDFALL PROFIT CONFISCATION! We had 21% home loans we had 11% inflation and 9% unemployment! Ronald Reagan turned all of this around and now democrats are saying his policies only hurt America and they fought him every step of the way! That’s just great and something to be proud of isn’t it?
Now they want to start up all over again. Attacking our corporations and oil industry confiscating their profies just like they did back in the 1970s. They want to shut down coal fired plants that never would’ve been built in the first place if they hadn’t blocked the nuclear ones. They want to screw with our financial markets freezing interest rates and other unnatural controls instead of letting the market correct itself. Guess they want to see if they can’t get those home mortgage rates back up to 21% huh? Liberals and socialists never learn do they, they just keeping doing the same failed policy ideas over and over again each time expecting a different result! This is the definition of insanity of course. Liberalism, progressivism, socialism, whatever you want to call it is a mental disorder even common sense will tell you that!

OBAMA and HILLARY support amnesty….it IS AMNESTY if an illegal alien gets an automatic reprieval from the possibility of deportation and then is allowed to continue to remain here and work here and then start on a “path to citizenship”. This is simply fundamentally unfair to every single LEGAL immigrant and naturalized citizen who played by the rules to have the privilege to immigrate and adjust their status. OBAMA supported both previously failed Senate amnesty bills and hasn’t changed his position since. Allowing illegal aliens to remain here is AMNESTY no matter how many hoops they have to jump through….all this creates is a special “path” for lawbreakers, and a path that isn’t available to those who played by the rules. This is nonsense. OBAMA supported the DREAM ACT and so did HILLARY …..forcing AMerican families to pay to subsidize college tuition discounts for ilelgal alien students who all have the opportunity and right to go to college in their home countries for a lot less than what it costs in the U.S. and many times, like in Mexico, it’s free! OBAMA’s position is not “balanced”……the selfish interests of illegal aliens, and their countries of origin should not factor at all into immigration policy. If a candidate doesn’t understand that…they are unfit to be President of the United States.

The Clintons continue to get away with their underhanded strategies and lies that they have been using for the past 20 years ONLY because we (voters) continue to vote for them. When we vote for them it sends them a message that we don’t have a problem with their bad ethics and antics. If we (voters) stop voting for the Clintons they will be forced to realize that their dirty tricks are no longer working. The Clintons seem to believe that Americans are dumb or NOT SOPHISTICATED enough to see their tricks — guess what? We are not dumb and we are sophisticated enough. Barack Obama is committed to bringing our country together to meet the challenges we face. To win the chance to change America, we must first defeat the hateful Clinton tactics that are being used to tear us apart. Having meticulously planned their coveted return to the White House for several years now, the Clintons will certainly not exit the scene with grace or dignity. This is the political duo that honed “The Politics Of Personal Destruction” into an artform; and, most certainly will not tolerate, who is in their mind, the “upstart Obama” to derail Hillary’s pre-choreographed coronation.
With regards Slick’s comments on Obama’s Iraq record; and, the draft dodger’s false accusation of flip flopping on the Iraq issue against Obama: It was actually Hillary who was the serial flip-flopper on this issue. Obama to his credit, as a matter of conscience, refused to deny American troops the funding for the bullets and equipment that they required to survive in ongoing combat. Hillary, on the other hand, with no such compelling principles, was one of only two U.S. Senators who voted to deny funding for essential equipments for our troops who they had “previously” voted to commit to lethal combat. A despicable breach of trust with the young men and women laying their lives on the line in defense of our Nation. Obama made the classical rookie error of not responding to Slick’s false accusation, which he could have easily turned to Hillary’s well deserved detriment
Barrack and his supporters best be prepared for the “Political Lynching” that will rival anything previously witnessed in Presidential politics.
Slick and Hilla-the-Hun, the Perpetual Victim, have repeatedly demonstrated a vicious mud-slinger demeanor that is unprecedented whenever their political dynasty has been threatened in the past. Just ask anyone of their innumerable victims.

It was the budget. More funding for social programs. Bill Clinton changed the Welfare program into a more progressive program by funding training and education to help people out of Welfare. Hillary’s support of education and children’s issues across the board. I could go on. I read Bill’s and Hillary’s books after I was convinced that Clinton was a disgrace. Then realized what benefits to society I gave up in buying into the Republican attacks. I’d rather have pro society agendas, that’s why I became a Democrat after voting for Reagan and experiencing first hand the negative effects of his trickle down economics. My first vote was a real learning experience on what is really at stake. The good of the people.

I’ll bet Clinton studied French but not Spanish and has the same problem. I’m sure the audience didn’t care, but apparently this blooger does.

Huh. Just scrolled back up through Craigo’s posts. Have to say, Irma, I don’t see anything racist, either. Sure, he’s a Republican and Romney supporter, but he doesn’t seem to hide either fact.
Actually, he advocated a Rice campaign. So if you mean racist in an anti-African-American way, that doesn’t seem to hold water.
For myself, Rice would be a big ‘no.’ The GOP does have a potential female candidate I might like in Christine Todd Whitman, but I’m guessing the GOP wouldn’t want her for the same reasons I would. On the Democratic side, Napolitano might be a player – assuming Clinton doesn’t spoil the waters in the near-term future for female candidates. I think she might be a potential running mate with Obama.

Todd over Rice for sure…In case you are wondering. Oh my goodness Paul, you are the first, intelligent sounding gentleman to make an exchange in these comments. Even if you are a Republican, you seem okay to me.

I am concerned about Hillary’s future conduct of high-level diplomacy. Contemptuous condescension seems to be Hillary’s default mode with any male who criticizes her or stands in her way. How will Hillary’s toxic attitude play in the Muslim world? The Clintons live to campaign. It’s the ONLY thing that holds them together as husband and wife and it’s what gives them a glowing sense of meaning and value. Their actual political accomplishments are fairly slight. The obsessive need to keep campaigning may mean a president Hillary would go right on spewing the bitterly partisan rhetoric that has already paralyzed Washington. How will Billary govern IF she wins the election? Republicans hate her and Democrats dislike her with a passion — she will not get anything accomplished in the White House — nothing.
The current wave of support for Barack Obama from Democrats, independents, and even some Republicans is partly based on his vision of a new political discourse that breaks with the pettiness of Washington.
Obama has served longer as an elected official than Hillary (8 years in the Illionois senate and 4 years as a US Senator. He has had experience as a grass-roots activist, and he is also a highly educated lawyer who will be a quick learner in office. His international parentage and childhood, as well as his knowledge of both Christianity and Islam, would make him the right leader at the right time.
Obama represent the future, not the past. Where do you want America to be in 4 years time?
With Billary nothing will get done in Washington to help Americans because no one wants to work with her — she has stepped on most people’s toes. Are you willing to suffer for another 4 years???
Think about it.

Hillary lost any chance of me voting for her when she didn’t boot that womanizer to the curb. She can’t keep her husband in line, why would she be able to keep this country in line. Obama is no better either. Quit catering to a group of people that can’t vote for you anyway.

Paul, I just want to clear something up. I would not vote for a Republican over a Democrat, ever. Right now I support Hillary because I do share her philosophy. I agree with “It Takes a Village.” Yeah I know everyone hates the socialist ideas. But you know, wanting to make sure that kids who through not fault of their own, are born in situations where they don’t have a chance, unless someone else steps in, somehow; well that’s a good thing and no one will make me feel wrong about that.

Did anyone notice that this article that pokes fun at Hillary for her bad grammar in Spanish has two mispelled words in English. I am pasting the sentence here. See if you can spot the two words.
Clinton used the wrong tense of the the word “puede,” presumably accidentally to the crowd. Clinton has admittidly told audiences that her language skills are not her strongest suit and often referneces her french teacher from college who said to her her “Madmoiselle, your talents lie elsewhere.”

Casey, tilt on its “access?” That’s rich coming directly after you insult the intelligence of all Republicans. There are plenty of smart Democrats and Republicans, but you don’t fit into either of those categories.

Irma, do you really believe that Hillary is the only candidate that will help children? Both Obama and Edwards have great plans that will take care of average everyday Americans and especially those who are financially challenged.
Don’t let Hillary’s smiles fool you. Don’t believe the hype. What the Clintons say and what they do are 2 very different things. You’re voting for Hillary to be in office, not Bill. No matter what Bill suggests IF Hillary is President doesn’t mean that she will take his advice — after the relationship they have had don’t you think that Hillary is going to do what she wants to prove to Bill that she is smarter/stronger/better than him? She will have her own policies. Look at what she’s done to help poor people in New York — NOTHING!
Irma — you’re smarter than that, come on.

What an I D I O T, after Obama coined the mantra “CHANGE” and “HOPE” that successfully launched his 2008 campaign, guess who slithered in and stole it for her own campaigns signs and primary message right after Obama’s Iowa win! After Obama reached out to Nevada hispanics using a new mantra “SI-SE PUEDE” english for YES-WE CAN, guess who has now grabbed it or allowed that to become her tag for targeting hispanic voters? For someone who advertises 35 years of political experience, a good part of it “manipulating facts, lieing and faking emotions” thru sex scandals hearings & Bill’s impeachment threats, you’d think Hillary could be original, and come up with campaign strategies and slogans of her own? Does that mean Hillary has been in old (dirty) politics too long, and is now programmed to STEAL IDEAS vs CREATE NEW ONES & BE VISIONARY? If “MORE EXPERIENCED” means the above, then Bill can keep his pants down around his ankles and stay where he is & Hillary can simply GO AWAY!

Randy, I don’t know what Clinton’s exact position on illegal immigration is, but I sure would be interested in hearing her explanation of what she meant by, “no woman is illegal.”

Bush’s approval ratings are actually higher than hillary’s (Senate v President) and he got more votes in the general election than Bill ever got.

If they where farm workers they where illegal and the can’t Vote! Hillary is going to alienate all voters on both sides because California s fed up with illegals! To Hillary No Bueno in California go back to your NY CASA!!
I have always known Hillary voters are the lower end of the spectrum, but buying illegals votes? Voter Fraud we need positive ID from everyone that votes, the biggest day for border crossing is election day 99% vote democrat and 85% are voter fraud!

Irma – You’re right, the Clinton’s did do a lot for ‘minorities’, such as lowering lending standards to address the ‘problem’ of low home ownership rates among those minorities.
How’s that one working out?
Your post inadvertantly hits it right on the head – the Clintons believe that the only ‘real’ blacks, latinos, etc., are ones who got where they are through the benevolence of royals such as themselves, ie, government giveaways (see comment above for one example). Anyone like Obama simply is not worthy in their eyes.
This is why watching the Clintons sputter and stammer about race is so awesome. (I can just hear them: “The temerity of that man to try and take the race card away from us! Time to send out the surrogates to take down that crack-smoking homeboy! Now excuse me, as I’m late for my black-speak lesson in preparation for my speech in S.C.”)

Obama has chosen to be black (he’s half white you know) and thus will suffer the consequences of the poor brown-black relations in the U.S.
Btw, he criticed Hillary for being on the board of Wal-Mart, but his wife is on the board of a food company whose biggest customer is Wal-Mart! What a freaking hypocrite Obama is.

I have always wondered who was stupid enouggh to support GWB twice. Reading Craigo, Rob-Is-Right, Jay and their spiritual brothers and sisters makes me stop my wondering. If they are a product of our public schools, I want a refund on my school taxes.
My thanks to those of you on both sides for stating your objections to Hillary, Obama or any of the other potential nominees, Republican or Democrat, without resorting to stupid plays on their names, personal attacks, and obsession with their sex lives. It actually helps me to cement my preferences when I hear the pros and cons regarding the candidates’ stance on issues. I am a Hillary supporter, but will vote for whatever Democrat wins the nomination. After seeing what the Republicans have wrought, the destruction and dishonor they have brought upon my country, I can never risk letting another one occupy the seat of power. I will support the dem nominee with my time, effort and money to do my part in getting back my America.

Hi Charm, Thanks for asking. Hillary has a history of working on behalf of children’s issues. That is why I support her. In all other aspects, the candidates are no different, not even in Political tactics. Yet to me, this is where I know she will deliver. I could quote you information all day long. If you want, read about her mom’s childhood. Hillary learned about the needs of children early on in life and I know it is a central core of her philosophy. I am not convinced with smiles. That is why I don’t support Obama right now. I don’t feel he holds the passion that I know I see, read, and hear in Hillary. Being passionate is what makes Hillary so intense. You know, she and Bill went into public office because they had hope too as well as vision. There are people who want to help society and just because they are known and hated by Republicans at first, now Obama supporters; does not diminish their reasons for what they have done to help the majority of people. I mean, I am pro environment, but I drive; I am pro Unions, but I buy cheap goods. This whole Puritanistic preaching about the Clintons is not a good argument because it is and will always be the Republican argument. You can catch anyone, any given day, doing something that could be used against them somehow. The Republicans have been relentless with the Clintons, and now Democrats are using those arguments to go against their own. That’s what I see, hear, read and experience everyday right now. I am voting on issues for Democrats and on a specific issue for Hillary.

Randall, you just sound angry! No one is taking any credit away from anyone for what they themselves have accomplished. The Clintons never come across that way to me. They do however, come across as being on our side. I don’t ever have a problem with that.

I’ll say one thing on this article, I can’t think of why people would want to be hung up on a phrase that apparently most of you don’t really know much about. Not what it means nor it’s history. You all just came in for Clinton bashing. Just think, the media follows Bill around more than Michelle, yet the things they come up with on both sides are rediculous. All the candidates make mistakes, it’s called being human.

Hillary will:
a) lose independents to McCain, who will be the Republican nominee (for example, I’m an independent who would vote for Obama over McCain, but for McCain over Hillary);
b) ensure that Nader enters the race, taking as much as 3% of the vote, all from Democrats (Nader would probably not run against the first African-American nominee of a major party);
c) because of her bashing of Obama, lower African-American turnout by some unknown but considerable number; and
d) energize very conservative voters, many of whom would otherwise stay home with McCain as the nominee, especially the anti-immigration and social conservatives.
By nominating her, the Democrats are committing suicide. It’s that simple.

“Clinton who rarely utters Spanish to Hispanic crowds”. If this were true, why did I hear her do this three times while she was in Nevada for their primary.
And to those of you who have been stating that Obama is not for amnesty because he wants to make illegals pay a fine. This is still amnesty, they are avoiding, and being absolved of, legal issues and back taxes.
If you didnt pay taxes for the last three years, would you call it a punishment to have to pay a fine that is only a fraction of what you actually owe?

it is time for the workers of the world to unite against the opression of poor immigrants in the US. The USA has no need for these outdated borders. Come here everyone and the white man will be finally defeated forever. No more of his culture in the USA. Ms. Clinton and Mr. Obama are our best hope for this to happen.

With Bill Clinton doing most of Hillary’s campaining for her America will get a mixed bag if she wins the Democratic nomination. I don’t think she has the stamina to hold up under pressure. She says she is tough enough. But leaving your campaining to your spouse is simple minded thinking.
She is assuming this election is some sort of dance nd being elected prom qween is a shoe in. I think it will be historic as the biggest blunder that the Democratic Party will make in history if she wins. The Republicans know putting all the hype aside about her being a woman. Big deal do you want a cookie? Her first years in the White House with Bill wasn’t that civil.
If you do search’s on the web you will see reports that claim she yelled at her staff. Relly Presidential huh? So if she yealls at the little people when shes got all that power what’s going to happen to the little guy laborer if she makes President?

Translation: IT CAN BE DONE, IT’S POSSIBLE.
It was also used as a rallying cry by illegal aliens- meaning that by showing their numbers, marching, showing strength & unity… they could press the government to implement reform favorable to them. NO SE PUDO. (WASN’T POSSIBLE)
I love it for the inspirational, winning against the odds feelings that it evokes. A slogan more appropriate for an underdog candidate like Obama. Used by Clinton it rings hollow… it sounds more like, “we can get away with it”
not so inspirational. Another thing sullied by the Clintons.

Hillary and Obama both said they would not promise to bring the troops home by the end of their term. That means us in Iraq until 2013 if either of those 2 win. One candidate said he would remove the troops “Immediately”. Guess who that is? The media wants to block him out. It is Ron Paul a republican like no other, actually he is a Politician like no other.
Former Green Party member now registered Republican to vote for Ron Paul.

Interesting that Hillary is fond of claiming to have been a key player in the formulation of Clinton Foreign Policy: 9/11 was a direct result of the Clinton Administration’s feckless responses to the numerous Al-Qaida provocations and terrorist assaults against our national interests; as well as, Clinton’s inexplicable temerity in refusing to take Osama bin Laden into captivity when offered several times by the Sudanese. Clinton then exercised little more than his jawbone as bin Laden trained literally thousands of terrorists in his Afghan camps. All of which, convinced bin Laden that he could strike our homeland with relative impunity. The potential for success in bin Laden’s planned assault on our homeland was significantly enhanced by the infamous Gorelick memo which the Clinton Administration promulgated to prohibit any terrorist information exchange between our FBI and CIA intelligence operatives. However, history will record the most heinous assault on America’s national security interests by a U.S. president as Clinton’s transfer of our most advanced missile guidance technology to the CHICOM for a few campaign shekels. Does any rational person really want to return the Clinton cabal/scandals to the White House?

For me, this choice could be likened to having to make a choice between having a fingernail pulled out with pliers or having a finger cut off.

Hillary and OBAMA are wrong on immigration. They have abyssmal records for voting for amnesty for ilelgal aliens, driver’s licenses for illegal aliens and all kinds of benefits for illegal aliens.
A vote for Hillary or OBAMA is a vote for illegal alien amnesty. You decide.

“You people posting the anti-Hillary vitriol are Republicans. You must think that Democrats are as stupid as
Republicans to imagine we would actually buy into your bull. No real democrat would EVER speak that way about Bill Clinton, the finest president since FDR, much less his wife, who will be the democratic nominee for President. SHAME ON YOU!”
Not all of the people posting on here are Republicans. Not all Democrats think the sun rises and sets on the Clinton’s. Not all of us are willing to overlook their heavy-handed tactics. Many of us are offended and insulted by these people. If a person wants respect, they better learn to act as if they deserve it AND give it.
Needless to say, Bill hasn’t been acting very presidential these past few weeks. Or are you so blind by love for them that you cannot see it? No, I will not respect or support someone such as the Clinton’s. They suck, bottom line.

I love some of our “leaders”. I really do. They are funny people. Take Mayor Bloomberg, for instance. He is a great guy. When he stated that if illegal aliens were deported, than who would take care of the golf courses in New York, it gave me an idea. I am going to apply for a job in golf course maintainence. That way I can make decent money and be a model American of the type Mayor Bloomberg has in mind. Yes, we have some GREAT! leaders in America.

Perhaps Daddy didn’t need to campaign for his son because he knew the machines were fixed, the ballots skewed towards his son and, in anticipation of the worst case scenario, Scalia was paid off.
I’m just saying…..

Iris at 9:08: How many recounts did you need to prove that Bush won in 2000 despite all of Gore’s efforts to steal votes and disallow overseas military votes (since they would probably have gone Republican)? Thank God the Supreme Court of the USA put an end to that debacle overruling the corrupt Florida Court. Fixed machines ?
Scalia paid off ? What a joke.
The ex-presidents that go against time honored tradition and inject themselves into present day politics are invariably Democrats (Jimmy Boy and Slick). It’s a matter of class really. They don’t have any and Bush Sr. does.

Romney: Dodged the Vietnam War to serve on his “mission” for his Mormon faith while McCain was in a POW camp for five years…
Romney says that voters should not based their vote on someone’s religion while over 90% of Mormon voters in the Nevada Caucus voted for him and other religions were spread among candidates…
NONE of Romney’s five sons have served in the military…
So it makes one ask, your country or religion first Mitt?
VOTE FOR SOMEONE THAT PLACES HIS COUNTRY FIRST…MCCAIN!

Posted by: VatoSmarto | January 24, 2008, 8:24 pm 8:24 pm

McCain could not possibly place his country first. Let’s look at what he does rather than what he says. He encourages unlimited illegal immigration across the Arizona(HIS STATES) border. He goes around talking to American union workers and other blue collar workers, telling them they would not pick lettuce for fifty dollars an hour. Funny, in my travels I’ve seen Americans picking lettuce, and doing virtually every singel job illegal aliens do and more competently to boot. He is for unlimited war, and the military industrial complex, but against torture–huh. What does he think goes on? He has never, ever been concerned about the average American citizen and acts offensive and hot headed when challenged on things like illegal immigration. Mexico has directed Mexicans who get into trouble in Arizona to go to Senator McCains office. Why is that? He was involved in the Keating Five scam, in the nineteen eighties , in which crook, Charles Keating, bilked senior Americans out of hundereds of millions if not billions of their investment dollars on phony land deals, etc. in McCains home state, if I’m not mistaken. Yeah, a real solid kind of guy. I’m quite sick of his 40year preoccupation with his pow experiences. Other Americans suffered worse fates, as well as other people, and many died and are still dying. Get over it McCain!

Posted by: Bobby | January 25, 2008, 4:37 am 4:37 am

Well said Bobby.
McCain gets the adoration of the MSM for the simple reason that he’s not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination. We lost the last real conservative when Fred bowed out after SC. Truth be told Duncan Hunter was far and away the best the Republicans put up this year and you see all the coverage the MSM gave him. Fred would have been fine as well.
So with McCain as the nominee we’re left with a choice between a liberal (him) and a socialist (anyone from the left side that’s running). Hence the MSM gets what they want.
We’re way better off with Romney. Otherwise it will be a matter of holding your nose with one hand while you vote with the other. Bottom line is we cannot allow whichever socialist gets the nod to win. The USA has fallen way too far to the left already.
