Edwards airs contrast ads in South Carolina
ABC News’ Raelyn Johnson reports: Democratic hopeful John Edwards will go on the air in South Carolina today with a series of ten second ads.
According to a campaign official, the ads will feature images of Edwards’ top rivals, Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama and ask, which candidate has never taken a dollar from a Washington lobbyists? And which candidate has vowed to ban lobbyists from working in their White House?
The answer to both questions of course is Edwards, who’s trying to draw distinctions in a state he won in 2004, but is currently polling third behind Clinton and Obama.

It’s becoming obvious that the media is not interested in giving Edwards as much coverage since he’s for people that aren’t making the big bucks like many in the media industry are. Why would they want to promote a candidate that may make life fair for everyone instead of the rich, better to keep the politics in Washington favoring the “have’s” and to hell with the have nots. Hillary and Barack will give the working people the same as they get from the Republican’s, you can’t accept lobbyist money and change policy. Hopefully America will stand up and get John Edwards in office without the media pushing its agenda to elect the status quo.

It’s obvious, the media payed by big corporations wants to keep the focus off the real issues. They rather focus in the celebrity contest horse race instead of real debate. It’s 2002 and 2004 deja vu all over again. Now the media decided thats is just 2 candidates race and they want to keep it that way so long we let then get away with it.

Every national poll for ages has had Edwards alone beating every single Republican in head-to-head matchups, yet he gets the least coverage. He deserves better–and we deserve full coverage of all candidates and their positions–not their colors or genders or emotions or other nonsense. This is not American Idol or America’s Top Model.
Edwards is the most electable Democrat, yet gets much less coverage than Republican losers like Thompson or Mayor 9/11.

I don’t know why Edward’s isn’t doing better or why he is splitting the blue collar vote with Hillary. After all, Hillary has NEVER in her ENTIRE life lived a blue collar existance. She has never worked a low wage job, she has never worked a job without insurance and so forth. Edwards knows what it’s like to struggle from no place….Hillary doesn’t. So why people can’t identify with him more is beyond me. I really believe he has their best interest at heart as opposed to Hillary, who wants to give some sort of credit or points to people that open a savings account. Is she serious? Sounds like the Bush Soc. Sec. retirement plan to me…..No, if people want someone that will fight for them, that person is Edwards. After Edwards is Obama. It for sure is not Hillary. She didn’t grow up poor, in some rural or inner city area. Give me a break!
