Paul Alleges Boondoggle on the Bayou
ABC News’ Z. Byron Wolf: Not too many people paid too much attention to the Louisiana Caucus on Wednesday. John McCain won and Ron Paul logged his second second place finish of the primarycaucus season after his showing at the Nevada caucus last Saturday.
For Paul, R-Tex., Louisiana is really more of a third place finish since finishing ahead of the winner, John McCain, was "uncommitted pro-life."
But the Paul campaign says they got second place and maybe should have gotten first.
In a statement this afternoon, they allege that Paul supporters were forced to file provisional ballots even when they were pre-registered as delegates for Paul and they accuse the Louisiana Republican party of changing the rules at the last minute.
Paul campaign statement:
The failure of the Louisiana GOP to properly determine who was and wasn’t eligible to vote threw this entire process into disarray," said Ron Paul campaign manager Lew Moore. "The party needs to correct this mistake by counting all the votes immediately, and releasing the results."
Due to mistakes by the Louisiana GOP, hundreds of voters were forced to file provisional ballots, including nearly 500 that could change the outcome of the election. According to party officials, caucus locations relied on a voter list from November 1, 2007 despite the fact that under caucus rules, voters must have registered Republican by November 30, 2007.
In multiple instances, state-certified Ron Paul delegates that were on the ballot were forced to file a provisional ballot despite the fact they were pre-approved as delegates.
The Louisiana State GOP also changed the rules at the last minute to allow other candidates to file more delegates. At the time of the original January 10 deadline, Ron Paul had the largest number of delegates pledged to him. The party then changed the rules to give other candidates until January 12 to file more delegates.
It’s a confusing process in Louisiana and a trip to the Louisiana Republican Party does not clear things up. They don’t even assign numerical totals to show how big the gap between places one and two and three were. In fact, at the website, a statement from party chairman Roger Villere Jr. only says Paul "appear to have captured the next highest number of delegate positions."
But Villere did praise Paul’s supporters for having dash.
"I applaud the supporters of Congressman Paul for their enthusiasm and superior organizational ability. Our Party needs the infusion of new activists who have both political skill and a passion for protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution," he said. "I left the caucus with a renewed commitment to promote our core Republican principles of limited government and individual freedom, thanks to the zeal displayed by Congressman Paul’s Louisiana supporters," Villere says on the website.
According to the website, more than 10,000 Louisana Republicans met yesterday to elect delegates to their state convention. Those delegates, led by those currently lobbying for uncommitted, will ultimately award delegates to candidates for the Republican National Convention.
ABC News tried to speak to an official representative of the Louisiana Republican party, but the phone number listed on the website http://www.lagop.com rings busy.

The GOP is in a sad state of affairs if it has to rig its own caucus to prevent Ron Paul from winning. The GOP is fine with promoting democracy with illegal invasions around the world, but apparently not fine with promoting it here at home. Disgusting.

No surprise here: the Republican establishment is afraid of Dr. Paul and those of us who support him. We are a threat to the power bloc that they have established with the Democrats, to the detriment of our nation and its future. They will do whatever they can get away with in order to suppress us, Dr. Paul, and his ideas. They might succeed in this election cycle, but the ideas are correct, and therefore powerful, and will grow as long as someone out here has the courage to advance them.

Hey folks, look at the top of the screen: This is a BLOG. Yes, the news is official but journalistic standards generally are not followed so much in blogs. Now that that’s out of the way, what did you all expect? That people would actually be honest about the elections? Ron Paul has no chance of winning. He may have the popular support, but it’ll never show up due to our extremely corrupted system. Regardless, my vote is for Ron Paul, even though it probably won’t get counted…

Thank you for posting news about Ron Paul. Although I don’t agree with all of his views, I like the fact that he is honest, straight forward, and a firm believer in the established laws (mainly the constitution). I believe he is the only chance this country has to fix the economic disaster it is in.

I ran as a delegate for Paul in the Louisiana primary and I have to admit that one-third of our voters were provisional. Now this is just in my district of New Orleans. I don’t know about the others. But it was very strange because a few of our delegates even had to vote provisional, which doesn’t make sense. In order to be a delegate you have to be in the Republican party.

Well, it’s Louisiana. What did you expect, without U.N. election monitors at every corner? Of course the state GOP was bound to cheat. They despise and fear Paul as an outsider.
Caucuses are nearly always fixed by the bluehaired apparatchiks who run the local party machines, anyway. What’s surprising is that Paul actually got credit for as many votes as he did. And when all those other “provisional votes” are counted, I suspect he’ll do even better.
The so-called “pro-life slate” was simply an act of collusion by several of the also-rans, who pooled their votes to prop up the guy with the best chance of squeaking past Ron Paul. That happened to be the current “front-runner” McCain.
If the support is there, the story will follow, sooner or later. You media prognosticators really should have anticipated it, given Paul’s consistent ability to motivate his fans to mob the state straw polls. He can duplicate all that and more at the Super Tuesday caucuses, wait and see.

What no one is talking about is HOW several Delegates were on both Slates…. “Uncommitted” Pro-Life slate and “Committed” John McCain slate.
Perfectly acceptable by the LAGOP.
I guess we could have list for every candidate including Reagan with the same Slate of candidate delegates.

It is strange that such fear and suppression is directed at not at a movement of extremes- socialism, communism, fascism, anarchy… but at a movement to abide by our most traditional guidelines- the Constitution.
Have we strayed so far that the words and ideals of Madison & Jefferson are shunned and despised as much as those of Marx, Mao or Hitler?

I will have to give credit to ABC for at least trying to cover Ron Paul. The other news agencies seem to try to ignore him all together. I think if ABC covered Paul more they would pick up a great following. Ron Paul comes up under ABC search more than any other news agency search that I can see.

The corruption in our government is so deep that it will take the next 25 years to sort it all out. After reading “The Shock Doctrine, The Rise of Disaster Capitalism”, I have no faith in our political system. Our country has been bought and sold, but nobody bothered to tell us. This election prattle is a joke. The media is treating it like a daytime soap opera or better yet Jerry Springer garbage. I watched Dr. Pauls responce to the question at the last debate about whether he is electable. I liked his responce about the Republicans currently promoting democracy in Iraq but suppoting a dictator in Pakastan with 10 Billion dollars. And the irony of that to me is that as a nation even though we have a democratic style, if you will, of government we are a Republic with heads of state that govern not a democracy as so many like to refer. Dr. Pauls message , intellegence and vigor for American family values of God and nation are a thorn in the sides of our current elitest system that has taken us for a ride. I pray that the Lord upholds Dr. Paul through this election battle and that we still have enough descent peoples in our government to let him rise to the occasion. Should we be surprised? NO. This election should be the most controversial election ever, because of all the political maneuvering by the Republican and Democratic parties to allow only certain candidates to participate in the primaries, as well as the voting using electronic voting machines. We know how that works! For Ron Paul, he has the media and both parties scared. If he wins, what will they do? They will try impede his progress at every corner of advancement, and cheat wherever they can to stop him. I am waiting for the results of Florida which should be a real thriller of manipulation and corruption.
I am voting for Ron Paul because there is no other candidate worthy of the presidency.

From the 4th Congressional District of Louisiana straight from the mouth of the Louisiana GOP. Some 88 provisional ballots in this district (over 600 statewide) were cast. This was suppose to be the people who changed to republicans between Nov. 1 and 30 with the later being the cutoff date for voting in the caucus. The party would not pay for an updated list through the 30th. Ron Paul has some 6 delegates (15 total for each district in state)on the bubble within 30 votes of being elected as delegates. GOP headquarters just anounces that one Ron Paul delegate who is just 6 behind wins, all others lose. GOP headquarter says that the Parish Registrar of Voters determines that 2/3 of the provisional ballots were actually democrats and independents and not eligible to vote. Democrats and independents come out on a cold night all over the state and vote in a republican caucus. I smell a rat that is about to be sweep under the rug and forgotten. Lose the provisional ballots, no proof, no way t verify, no publicity, the machine wins again. No, the Ron Paul campaign people are in the state. This is not the end of this.

I am shocked the Louisiana Republican party is involved in fixing the Caucus results to insure that votes for Ron Paul were diluted by changing the rules at the last minute thus allowing delegates for other candidates to be included after the January 10, 2008 deadline. This of course changed the outcome of the election. This is outrageous, irresponsible and disgusting not to mention a fraud on freedom loving Americans everywhere. Those who engaged and participated in what appears to be election fraud and corruption should be immediately held accountable for their crimes. I request that only delegates be counted that were filed preapproved by the January 10, 2008 deadline.

It isn’t really news, it’s the status-quo, same thing every day from the same media groups, one sided and biased. Look at what has happened in all of the primary’s and caucus’; so far most of the machines aren’t giving correct counts and sometimes not counting votes at all. What’s it going to look like during the elections this fall? Will the media hipe it like they are now?

Well I’ve only been on the Dr. Paul bandwagon for about 3 months now, but he’s gone from relative obscurity to burst through the media barriers (BTW I too considered myself more of a Democrat until that time). I would have said he had no chance then, but now I can believe as the passion and hard work of his supporters is starting to pay off. The momentum is building for him, just look at the recent primary results. If he beats Guiliani (again) in Florida, then it will be down to 4, and his message – the message of liberty will become even louder and harder to supress.
He did well in the debate as usual.

The Florida debate was a joke! Ron Paul was asked the least amount of questions and it felt as thought they were DELIBERATELY excluding him. Ron Gave great answers to the few questions he was asked.
We finally have a man who is honest and why the Repub party is shunning him I cannot understand. He is exactly what this country needs, what we need!
After the next primary, more will drop out. McCain and Guiuliani are hurting financially, so I am hoping that is when Ron kicks it into gear heavy duty so people can really see what he is made of. Hopefully, they (McCain & Guiliani) will drop out…soon.
Go Ron! You are what America needs.

Whatever happens at the incompetent state elections doesn’t really matter. Ron Paul only needs about 10% of the popular vote to have an army of support. The masses of people who are voting in the primaries and in the general election will fall fast asleep after the election. The CFR manipulated mainstream media has everyone so focused on the presidency that they fail to realize that the real power is in the House. As those numb-numb voters go back to sleep on the couch in front of the boob tube, like a glob of rotting flesh, the rest of us will become an organized army of passionate patriots. Under Ron Paul’s leadership we will become the congressional district watchdogs across this nation on every piece of legislation that is voted on. I was at the caucus in Lake Charles and personally saw several hundred more Ron Paul supporters there then the “unofficial report” said voted for him there. This is clearly fraud. I saw at least 700 Ron Paul supporters at central school at the time that I was there and that they would say that less then 250 people voted for his delegates in distric 7 is absord.

This is absolutely appalling and embarrassing. The GOP is corrupt, as is the media, and this administration. And the NY Times in my mind just endorced the two candidates that stand for a continuation of the corruption in McCain and Hillary.
The mood was definitely different in the debate tonight, many firsts took place, there were no attacks or even rude questions put to Ron Paul. It seems that everyone on stage and asking questions know that Ron Paul is viable and they know he won LA. Of course, nothing new on the amount of time he was allowed to speak. Absolutely rediculous how much time Giuliani was given tonight even though I thought he did pretty well. Will somebody please explain to me why so many people are voting for McCain. I seriously don’t get it. Romey did a great job tonight with the debate, McCain scary as usual, Huckabee really is stealing Ron Paul’s material, and Ron Paul remains the truest conservative and defender of the constitution who sets the bar for getting this country back on track to true freedom and prosperity.

Where are the numbers? The late rule changes and then the withholding of results deprive the voters of Louisiana and the country of due and just rights to public information. This is outright criminal and the GOP Headquarters should be all over this if they are not part of it.
I have been a quiet voter but have found my voice and my pen because of the shenanigans and wrongful goings-on. As a registered Republican I am appalled at the multitude of methods utilized for election rigging.
The total lack of morals and scruples by GOP leaders and the media in this election process calls for much greater involvement by the average citizen and demands for justice. There should be prosecutions for of the election rigging activities.

My wife and I were two of those “provisional ballots” cast for Ron Paul. We voted at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Ron Paul came in first in Louisiana no matter what they say. We love him down here. . Dr. Paul is the first Republican that I’ve ever voted for in my life.

While I’m an Independant, I mostly vote Democrat, but is there really a difference? Look at Nancy Peloski and her ban of thieves ripping at the Constitution, or what was left of it after Bush (same people) destroyed it. This year however, I’m not voting for the “lesser of 2 evils”, so I am voting for Ron Paul.
NBC, ABC, and CNN are I think out doing Faux for lies these days. From my part it does no good for companies to spend money advertising with you, I quit watching your “sound bites” a couple of years ago. If I want fantasy, I go to the movies. TV is for Amusement. For the first time, I’m keeping my New Year’s Resolution. I have stopped supporting evil people (companies). That means I do not spend my time, nor my money with them. I’m voting for the candidate who shows sincere intent to abide by the law of the land (Constitution) and to force the arm of the federal government to do the same, and who understands the basic principles of political liberty that is very unique to our country.
Guess who that is? Ron Paul.
If he does not get on the final ballot, then he will be my write-in choice.

Since the begining i have been watching the news and thought the major stations will be decent enough to cover all the candidates with fairness!!!
To my surprise i was wrong. I thought as mentioned above by numerous bloggers that we live in the USA and we have democracy!!! Again to my surpise i was wrong.
I have become a citizen of the US and thought my vote will count.To my surprise i was wrong.
The only thing i will be right, will be to vote for Dr Ron Paul and hopefully my vote will be counted .
But as far as i know elections could also be decided by our justice system. I am very scared.

What can we do when we peacefully fight against this tyranny that has taken over our government by duly voting in our respective communities for the change we know we desperately need? I am not a fanatic nor am I an extremist. I believe in the rule of law. Yet, “when in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another” I believe it is their duty to do so. I am not sure how many other people will say this about their candidate or how many other Ron Paul supporters would say this either, but as for me and those whom I know in my community that support Ron Paul we would be willing to risk our lives for Ron Paul. Not because of who Ron Paul is, but for the principles that he stands for; sadly, principles that so few other people seem to understand or care about. Hopefully, this latest example of outright absolutism will be corrected. Either way, this message is getting out. People are becoming educated. More people are realizing that you cannot become knowledgeable about such issues like government, monetary policy, foreign policy, history, and philosophy by watching the “news” on television and listening to 30 second sound bytes of rhetoric by pandering politicians.

I think it’s despicable that the voting system is so entirely controlled by people that have their own interests above the “People’s”.
Why is everything done behind closed doors?
At the least, we should demand clear voting rules, and a system where anyone who wants, can see the legitimacy of the vote count.
Besides, why is the LA GOP so upset? Dr. Paul’s district isn’t that far away..
I suppose it just has to do with the neo-cons that are now the majority of “conservatives”?
On top of these blatant disregard for the People’s vote, the Media is in this mode where they don’t even acknowledge Dr. Paul’s existence for the most part. How is that? Has the Media gotten away with rigging elections for so long, that they are so comfortable with it?

I read through the long line of comments and it seems clear that the overwhelming opinion is that The Grand Old Party manipulated the process for their own ends. Robert’s comment is the first I saw to semi defend the process . In doing so he admits “yes they screwed the rolls up” and “it was just an error” and “the rules and regulations deadline were not adequately made public in enough time”.It is disheartening to see when time , effort ,dedication and zeal are thwarted by connivery and duplicity.

I support Ron Paul because he is honest and has integrity. It is extremely disappointing to witness the degradation of our government and society. Our current administration lacks integrity or honesty and the members of the Senate and the Congress often seem unwilling to represent the will of the people. Corruption prevails. Rules and regulations are rarely enforced. Basically, the fox is guarding the hen house. Our economy and markets are run amuck.

I personally do not care for political party manipulation of this government, for that is unconstitutional. Republican and Democrat are just labels and wont tell us nothing if those who claim these labels do not do or tell us anything. However, I support Ron Paul because he has an important message, that mainstream media and private interest backed politicians and their citizen supporters prefer to ignore. So, what I am saying and I know that it is considered politically unpopular in a two party system, but maybe Ron Paul can run as who he is without any attachment to a party because we cannot afford to loose him. He is a congressman who has been elected ten times by his district and has an important message that is crucial to setting this country on the right path. It is time that we elect candidates based on what they stand for instead of voting for a candidate because they belong to a specific political party. There’s one very interesting mater in all this. I live in Serbia, Europe and I can get no info on Dr. Paul’s campaign but I am virtually bombed with news about the race between Obama and Hilary. Media are controlled all over the world and are all trying to impose just one point of view upon every man, woman and child. Regardless of the writer’s abilities, his message rings true: the GOP, and for that matter all of the long standing powers that be, are deadly afraid of losing their choke hold on their respective parties and individual positions. The fact that Ron Paul got to speak only 4 or 5 times in Thursday’s MSNBC debate while everyone else got to speak longer and more frequently is blatantly suspicious in my opinion – I hope other American’s are noticing how he is being slighted in the media and more importantly ask ‘Why?’ The ‘powers that be’ (those with the big bucks running corporations) don’t want anything to change and neither do the politicians on their payroll – which does not include Ron Paul. So, they are afraid and that is why all of this happens…they are hoping everyone will forget about Ron Paul or never notice him to begin with and that he will go away. I support Ron Paul even though I don’t agree with every viewpoint he has – for instance, I am pro-choice. However, I think he is honest, cannot be bought, and has excellent ideas for fixing the economy and our foreign policy and I hope both Ron Paul and this movement will continue regardless of what happens in the fake world of politics!

It’s not very suprising that the Republicans are providing us with the “same” kind of candidate as with the Democrats. No matter who gets into the White House practically the “same” policies will be enacted, with only slight variations. Nothing will be done to improve the economy. Nothing will be done about Afganistan, Iraq or Iran. The “staying the course” motto is wearing a little thin when you see that we are becoming an economic basket case. The only man who could possibly change things within his power to do so would be a man like Ron Paul who wants to return to a government “RESTRAINED” by the Constitution. If Ron Paul did as the other candidates and offered everyone “pie-in-the-sky” and “we can fix everything with a law” as both the Democrats and now the Republicans think, he’d be the front runner to the Eastern Establishment Media. He is hated BECAUSE he is a man of honesty and integrity.

I watched the debate last night and only Ron Paul made any sense and offered real solutions. The post debate discussion by Chris Matthews re capped some of the other candidates points but not the comments of Dr. Paul. In fact it was obvious during the debate that Dr Paul was given very little time. Chris Matthews declared Romney the winner,and did not even mention Ron Paul, but when the question of who won was put to the television audience Romney came first, with Paul second (only one percentage point behind) and the others a distant single digit number. This result Matthews condescendingly dismissed.We are fighting The Republican Party, The Democratic Party, Corporate America, and The Corporate media; and it is they who are running scared. I expect more dirty tricks. Paul dismissed it, but I hope he reconsiders a third party candidacy if he loses the Republican primary.

People of L.A. need to get this incident on the public record! This is the only way these criminals will pay attention. If I were in L.A. and I were a registered Republican and selected for a delegate vote I would have called the police and charge everone telling me that I had to vote with a provisional ballot. I would then take that police report to the District Court and file criminal charges against each individual at that polling station. These people are only doing what the National Republican Party is telling them to do. If you start charging people as individuals in court which makes them liable as individuals they will be forced to divulge who told them to change the rules and a trail will lead to whomever is at the heart of all this deceit. Charge these criminals with vote fraud and watch the rats jump ship.

Television lies. As long as we believe it, we are where they want us. Just because it is published doesn’t make it true. I hate political parties. I have never liked a republican canidate. Ron Paul should be president for the sake of change in dirrection. We are currently heading downward.

Nothing new really. the mainstream media has done everything in its power to block Dr. Paul out. It only adds to my determination. I work with the public and I talk to EVERYONE about Ron Paul and what he stands for. Most don’t believe that such a candidate exists, that I am just pulling their leg. Ron Paul won in Lousiana whether ‘they’ like it or not. I do believe that our elections are rigged but I am hopeful that if the message is said loud enough and by enough people that they cannot ignore us. Ron Paul is the only chance left at salvaging American legitimacy around the world. We waste our money and squander our civil liberties over a few terrorists. Terrorism is a military tactic, not an enemy. We need to stop slaughtering innocent people!
Ask yourself a basic question: Why does a candidate who is winning get less media attention than those that are losing? Does this seem like “fair” media reporting?
Does it seem to be fair and balanced reporting when a candidate’s name is only mentioned when the word “long shot,” “dark horse,” or “fringe candidate” are said in the same sentence?

I campaigned for George W. Bush when I was 15 and I campaigned for Senator Santorum when I was 17. But never have I seen a candidate I could vote for in PA that I could back 100%. I thought I had to move to Kansas or something. This time I’ll campaign for Ron Paul and thank God I can vote for him too!

I am also a long time Democrat now turned Republican. There are so many of US!! I will not tell you how many years it took to do this. Now that the primany is over, I will register as an Independent because I no longer believe that either of the two mainstream parties are doing the job with America’s best interests in mind.
Most of the Congress needs to be changed too. Vote them out.

We have a clear choice this time.
Dr Paul has demonstrated that he has chosen country over self and wants to correct at least some of the wrongs that have been done.
It makes me feel so much better about my vote to be able to vote for a truly good and honest man.

Folks, what’s good for America isn’t necessarily what’s good for the Democratic or Republican parties. Look at how they conduct themselves, they’ve turned the political process into an NFL matchup. It’s not about who’s doing what, it’s what team you’re on. I regret that my current Democratic affiliation will prevent me from voting for Ron in the primaries, but I’ll be marking him in on the main election whether I see his name or not.

I had almost lost hope, we have been lied to and robbed by our own political system and the media for so long that it takes no small amount of effort to be an informed individual. Ron Paul’s campaign is simple and genuine and based on those values that made our nation a great nation all those years ago. I have faith in Ron Paul and support him fully. He cannot lose. No matter what happens, though we as supporters make every effort to ensure victory, this is an idea whose time has come. The kindling is set and a passionate flame is growing in the hearts of Americans across the country. Americans who are sick of fearmongering, supression, executive power, special interest and lies. Apathy is dying and THAT is what politicians should fear the most.

Dr. Paul’s message has been consistent, clear, and precise. I can understand why the GOP is afraid of Ron’s policies as they will eliminate many of the opportunities for the government to reach into each and every American pocket and will eliminate much of the engorged government bureaucracy that exist today. He is a threat to their established ways of circle logic and spending and for that, they need to suppress his ideals of constitutional freedom.
Dr. Paul’s supporters are volunteers with hearts dedicated to obtaining their freedom. He has the most diverse campaign donation pool, which is comprised of the people and not the special interests. If one wants to ascertain what a President will owe whom after being elected to their position of power, take a look at who is contributing and giving effort on the part of a campaign. Ron Paul is for the people as evident of his support base of the people. May his message ring loud and clear for people to at least hear what he has to say.

This country lost it’s way years ago, but very few have been paying attention. The saying, “A stitch in time saves nine”, means that patching a small hole now saves you from having to patch a much larger one later. Well, our country now needs about eight spools of thread. People are finally waking up to this fact and realizing that the only presidential candidate, not involved with the criminals who ushered in this disaster and who can restore our nation, is RON PAUL. The Democrats, Republicans, and media all know it is true, which is why they are trying to turn the ever-growing elephant in the room into a disregarded coffee table. If the people of this country continue to grow in their banding together of support for RON PAUL, we have a chance. I shudder to think what will transpire in the next four years (to make RON PAUL’S chances next time an impossibility). We saw how 9-11 ushered in a huge explosion (no pun intended) of executive power and chipping away of our rights and freedoms (whether people are noticing it or not). What more are “they” going to add to this “program” in the next four years? I love my country but I fear my government. The time for rEVOLution is now. The next four years will be exponentially frightening if we do not stitch NOW. May God, Whom has most likely turned this country over to it’s own evil ways, hear the prayers and pleas of those who want it to be different, and may we listen to His lead through it all. Amen

Lynn is absolutely correct. Those damned electronic voting machines are just the ticket for an entrenched political system. Who can prove the ballot box was stuffed with votes for a certain candidate, or emptied of votes for another? I would almost say that if Ron Paul does not win there will be trouble, and I don’t mean as in “Oh honey, the car won’t start”!!

We need more than two political parties in the US or the kind of corruption in the system will never cease. We need three solid parties. I’d like 5, but seven more correctly covers the American gamut. We’ll never be free with two parties, we’ll never be represented, and these parties need to take hold from town councils, to school committees, and all the way up through state and federal legislature’s to the Presidency, or America will likely continue it’s downward spirial.

I fear that the party franchises will leave us no choice but to have an actual revolution. As Jefferson said “The tree of liberty must needs be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots.” I would die for my country but I like General G.S. Patton’s philosophy better “Let the other S.O.B. die for his country.” It’s absolutely clear they are promoting an anti-American agenda with all the wresting, cheating and twisting they can muster. What was started over 90 years ago is going to be hard to undo but it can be done – it must be done or our children and our children’s children will live as slaves. Let the revolution begin.

I was a delegate in District 7, and was not even aware of the 1/10 – 1/12 rule change. That’s just amazing.
I mean, they’ve done some shady stuff this time around, but that just takes the cake.

What pisses me off the most about this is that the powers who are running our government have put a finger up to all of us who want a fair and balanced election process. Not only has the corporate owned media given us the bird, but all those who are determined to force down our throats one of THEIR choices has told us citizens that WE have no voice and that WE will get who the hell THEY choose.
If we do not see things turn around, I’m moving back to Europe. I don’t recognize my country anymore because it is being run by greedy bastards behind the scenes and this is why Dr. Paul is trying to put us back in line with the Constitution.

I am registered INDEPENDENT here in Louisiana ever since a heard Ronald Reagan speak at Tulane University someting in the 60′s. That was a speech from a man of character. At the rally this week in Baton Rouge I listened as Ron Paul spoke his message of constitutional government and was impressed by the support of so many young people (I am 69). Dr. Paul may not win the election or sound like RR but he will have my vote, because he is HONEST. Yes, politics in Louisian are a bit strange to others and to some of us too, but we’re all good people trying to do the right thing. People, use that space between your two ears.

When the powers that be claim to be fighting for democracy around the world but in Iraq they don’t even establish the governmental system we have here but rather a parlimentary system which lends itself to stalemate, indecision, and weak leaders. It appears that our leaders have total disdain for our system and if they can’t change it they will subvert it. This is a revolution people and better that we give our absolute all at the ballet box than to have to fight later and the inevitable blood that will be shed in fighting for our freedom and rights if in the end we have to fight in the streets.

It is hard not to like and agree with the limited-government approach of Dr. Paul. No politician perfectly represents everyone, but he seems to be 90% more right than the other candidates. As others have mentioned above, if what has happened seems unfair, follow the money to determine who stands to lose by Paul gaining “official” popularity.

I watched the MSNBC “pundits” after the debate and the only mention of Ron Paul was on the crawler that said he was the ONLY Republican candidate to say that our losses in Iraq were “not worth it”!! He is the only candidate worth supporting. I came back from the Independent world to support this man with my money and, even though I KNOW that the elections are FIXED, I AM VOTING FOR THIS MAN BECAUSE HE IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE THAT IS WORTH OUR SUPPORT!!! This is our time of protest! We can do it by wholeheartedly supporting the man that has the mind of the people!!! I’m sending more money today. Even McCain’s mother conceded that the voters “will hold their nose” and vote for her son. NO, I WON’T DO IT! I’m mad as hell and I won’t do that ever again. These might just be the very last elections (sham that they are) in this country before martial law is declared.

Ron Paul knows that we have strayed greatly from the true intent of why this country was formed. It would appear that the press is in the government’s back pocket, so it’s up to us to make our voices heard. Ron Paul is well aware of certain dangers about to threaten our civil liberties, one being the Nais program to microchip our animals, a voluntary program about to go mandatory that works by way of GPS Microwave Radiation. Through this, we can be monitored daily, and it also compromises our security by being able to transmit our information to another country. Forced health care/microchipping is a violation of our Constitution. If we do not understand our constitution, we will lose our freedoms and we will be next. Ron Paul is the only person that I have really wanted to vote for in a very long time. I am appaled, but not surprised, that this is happening. After all, this is all about control.

Follow the money? Follow the “FREE” press and see where they are attempting to lead America by the nose. It seems, according to the latest national press Polls that Hillary and Mitt are now the front runners in their respective parties. The two most bought and paid for candidates in the race now have the blessings of the mainstream media. Any candidate that questions the status quo is pushed aside and any candidate that fights being pushed aside is banned from the debates, screwed out of votes in the caucases and primaries, and denied press coverage. It seems pretty obvious that the powers that be are feeling the heat and are fighting hard to put out the fire before it gets too big to handle. All the more reason to fan the flames of rEVOLution, the flames of DEMOCRACY, and to not get down and give up but to redouble our efforts in order that our message be heard loud and clear. There is so much corruption at every level. Ron Paul’s candidacy threatens all those who have used the cloak of government to acquire wealth and satiate the need for power and control. This includes the mass media (print, radio & TV networks) and the Republican Party themselves who are carefully orchestrating a way to stop Dr. Paul from gaining any momentum. Don’t let that stop those of us who see what is happening, even if that means organizing and practicing civil disobedience. I can’t understand how people voting in primaries are so blind. They tend to go with the flow. If the Media speaks McCain, Romney, Giuliani, etc.. that’s their man, rather than learn about all the candidates. Dr. Paul has so much emotion and passion for what he believes in, yet people are not seeing it. I performed my duties and voted for him in the primary in my state.

Yes, this blog is actually highly censored, but I’m not sure what their censoring criteria are. Someone’s post last night mentioning NPR’s lack of Ron Paul coverage and my response to it have both been removed. Very odd. FWIW, my response to the comment about NPR’s lack of coverage was something like: I’ve actually heard 2-3 halfway positive pieces about Ron Paul on NPR, which is 2-3 more than I would have expected.
Not sure why those comments were deleted by this blog’s moderator.

Let’s take the long view. Anything can happen in politics, but we need to recognize that it is highly improbable the powers-that-be will permit Dr. Paul to become the GOP nominee. The media’s intense effort to keep Ron out of the public eye will continue until the major party nominees are determined and, assuming Ron mounts a third-party effort, through to the general election. Accordingly, all lovers of freedom must focus on two objectives: (1) Persuading Ron to persevere into the fall, running as a Libertarian/Constitution Party/Independent fusion candidate (adding a note to your financial contributions to that effect will help); and (2)keeping up the grassroots pressure and zeal and financial support through the spring and summer until we finally tip over the cow of the media blackout, the tipping point being the realization by the media that the Ron Paul Revolution is a mass phenomenon that can no longer be ignored without sacrificing the media’s credibility. If those two objectives are achieved, there is a good chance that next January will see the inauguration of President Paul, especially if Michael Bloomberg jumps in–because each of the alternatives to Ron will be some combination of warmongering, baby-killing, gun-snatching, Constitution-trashing, overtaxing, truth-evading, grandchild-beggaring fraud of a politician. With the popular vote split three or four ways, Ron’s 35% to 40% will amount to a landslide–and our third objective will then be to persuade the craven souls in Congress to honor the will of the people when they have to pick among the candidates, none of whom will enjoy an electoral college majority.
Let’s get real and see things how they are, and never, never lose hope–especially when we have a candidate who inspires so much of it in our breasts.

I am convinced that Ron Paul’s campaign this year represents our last chance as a people to pull America out of her deadly tailspin. There are SO MANY problems with what happened in Louisiana, it’s unbelievable!
First of all, why would it be so hard to print out a list of everyone registered by Nov. 30? They only had a month and a half to get that done! Guess that’s not enough time! Approved delegates and those with their voter registration cards should not be told to cast “provisional” votes. And changing deadlines is never cool. If Jan. 10 is the delegate deadline, that’s it.
Finally, I don’t see HOW you could be considered “uncommitted” anything, if you are also a committed delegate for a particular candidate. Apparently that is allowed, but it should not be!
Finally, if you don’t like the results of an honest election, TOUGH.

This deserves a full investigation by both the media and the state elections officials.
Worst among all the GOP’s actions to date is their claim that 2/3 of the provisional ballots are disqualified. This is very suspicious and must be verified by an independent and unbiased investigation.
I heard that LA’s Governor was seeking to end the corruption LA is infamous for -this would be an excellent place to start!

It’s no wonder that George Washington was against the formation of political parties and warned us against them. Todays political parties have a stranglehold on the system and total control of who comes up within them. It is up to the people to rise up and overturn this corrupt house of cards. It is our duty as Americans to defend our constitution, not those who would subvert it. The Declaration of Independence states that it is the right of the people to alter or abolish any government that becomes destructive to the principles upon which it was founded. I say it is better to alter the course of our government now than to have to abolish it later, for we as a free people cannot and I suspect will not continue down this path that is being forced upon us without a fight. So rise up people, stand and be counted before it is too late, for unless something changes drastically the day is coming when you won’t be able to.

Dr. Ron Paul’s principles inspires me with a similar degree of confidence.

I have a friend who grew up in California but works as a commercial diver in Louisiana. He lives in Florida when he is not working off-shore because he says Louisiana is very corrupt. This doesn’t surprise me at all. It is too bad. I am sure there are good people in Louisiana. They need to throw out their corrupt politicians and any other corrupt government employees.

Machines can throw votes. We can take the voter cards and have names on them. Voters can punch a hole for their candidate or other and put a write in before giving them back.
That way we can check up on the machines and do a recount.

More and more our government claims that our rights are actually priviledges granted us by our government. It is not governments place nor is it in their power to grant us rights but that our rights are granted us by our creator and it is governments responsibility to guarantee and protect those rights, not to find a way to take those rights away. Our government was never meant to be our ruler but rather our servant. “Let the will of the people be the supreme law”. The powers that be are trying to ignore those it cannot control but I fear that the next step will be to punish those it cannot ignore. So now is the time to let our voices be heard. Don’t let them ignore us. If they slam one door shut in our face then pound upon the next door, if they bolt it tight then kick the next one in. But please, please do not go down without a fight, for if we do, then the cause is lost and it will be our fault for not standing for what we believe in. The time is at hand, the future stands before us, which way will we go? It’s all up to us and how strongly we believe in the principles upon which this Great Nation was founded. Do we actively stand up and save this Great Nation or do we passively sit by and watch it fade away.

The way the GOP and MSM are treating Ron Paul, is one of the most disgraceful and anti-American things I’ve ever seen.
I don’t even feel like I live in the land of the FREE anymore.
I’m ashamed to live in a country where all the political candidates are NOT being given an equal voice.
I’m ashamed to live in a country where the GOP and MSM thinks it can tell me who to vote for… and I’m just supposed to fall in line.
I’m ashamed to live in a country run by elitists… who won’t listen to the voice of the common people and won’t even give us a fair chance to be heard.
I’m ashamed to live in a country where politicians and the MSM manipulate poll results and defraud voters… and steal our only opportunity to have a say in how our country is run.
But mostly… I am so disappointed to have the last of my illusions about the strength and freedom of this country… wiped away by such a blatant disregard for personal freedom and public opinion.
I wish I was a rich elitist… living in a gated neighborhood… sending my children to private school… while letting other people fight and die in a pointless, endless war that never touches me… while leaving the borders wide open and letting our country be over-run by illegal immigrants that never reach my neighboorhood.
But instead… I’m a stay home mom, trying to budget every dollar to make ends meet, so I can stay home with my children… driving my kids to school every day, because the buses aren’t safe… keeping a constant eye on my kids, because our neighborhood isn’t safe… waiting in line at the low-income clinic with my sick children, behind 20 illegal immigrants who don’t speak english and are getting health care for FREE… while I struggle to pay for it.
And when I heard Ron Paul speak… I finally thought the end was in sight… that there was finally a politician who understood what was happening in America and would help us fix things.
But now I see that nothing will ever change… things will only get worse… and my children may look forward to a future even bleaker than mine.
And I want to thank the GOP and the MSM… for wiping away the last of my illusions… and snuffing out my last bit of hope… by trying to erase the only candidate who really speaks for the common people of the United States.
And I want to ask Dr. Paul not to give up… because there are thousands of people just like me… struggling to get by… and we need you to keep trying to speak for us.

This could have been an opportunity for the news agencies to really step up to the plate and protect the public. Honestly, I have been looking for 3 days for info on the LA GOP caucus and it now seem there have been shady results. You dropped the ball big media you really dropped the ball. You ignored Louisiana more than FEMA did after Katrina. Let’s try to pick up the slack eh? If Hillary gets the Dem nomination, I really hope Ron Paul runs third party (the GOP won’t let him win – that is clear) so I can vote against her. I can’t vote for anyone that didn’t oppose this ridiculous war in the first place as I did. An Obama/Paul supporter may seem strange, since they line up on only one issue, but it is the most important one for me this time. That, and they both seem to have voter fraud being perpetrated against them, which just makes me so mad. We are becoming our stereotypes of the third world, with nepotism and ballot box stuffing being the main factors in who rules. It makes me sick.

We would think that after all the accusations of rigged elections over the last decade, the Republican party would get the hint that republicans want a free and fair election. At this rate, the republican party will not redeem itself in the eyes of the public. This is indeed sad. The republican party needs to reform its election ethics in accordance with the mandate of We The People. Why is the GOP ignoring the mandate of the people by implementing unfair election practices? Dr Paul has repeatedly said “if you subsidize something, you get more of it.” This applies to election practices. If the republican party adopts corrupt election practices, it will only get more of them. Corrupt election practices only add fuel to the fire which has seated the agenda of corrupt politicians. The public wants an end to the corruption which has plagued our government since the time of president Wilson. It is the media’s job to expose corruption. Yet corruption is not only not exposed by the media it is outright buried. This is a terrible mistake. The public no longer trusts the media, or the government or even the election process.
In the debates Dr. Paul is applauded time and time again because he is as honest as Abe Lincoln. This applause has been silenced time and time again by the media and via the Republican election practices. It is time to break the silence and award Dr Paul the votes that he has earned fair and square. Ron Paul has diligently served the republican party and the interests of the American public in congress for ten terms. The Republican party owes him a debt of gratitude. It is time for republican party to make good on this debt.

You can’t expect the mainstream media to be the watchdog protecting us against special interests when the special interests own the mainstream media. It is a conflict of interest for the watchdog to be owned by who it’s watching. It’s high time we realized that free markets are not the cure of all our ills and can actually be the cause of some of them. The FCC was set up to protect the public who owned the airwaves but has abdicated public ownership of the airwaves to special (Corporate) interests. The actions of the FCC are downright treason in my book, and the members of the commission should be held accountable for not only allowing but perpetuating the undermining of a free press that serves as our only watchdog against the special interests. The airwaves are a public trust and any Liscensed entity that does not act with the publics best interest in mind should have it’s liscense revoked, including the major networks and their affiliates. I called the LA GOP and they said the official tally could be out as soon as today. They explained why the date change Jan 10 moved to Jan 12 because one of the town papers came out on thursday Jan 10 which was not enough notice and all the delegates will be counted once they compare the official voters list.
Ron Paul message may need its own network. Liberty Radio and Cable TV or maybe Internet TV for starters.
The American people deserve liberty.

I heard the way they slighted the vote is by the other three candidates forming a cohesive “uncommitted pro-life” slate – (from which Dr Paul was omitted [even though Ron Paul is also pro-life so dont understand the logic there, but anyhow]) hence it took the combined effort of all three candidates to beat Paul, otherwise he would have won Louisiana. And since he did come in “second” to this illegal “unionizing” – they had to have a separate run-off for the candidates within the illegal union (and McCain came out on top). So basically if the corrupt Louisiana GOP actually actually did the job they were supposed to we would see that Ron Paul would have won Louisiana, and that McCain would have come in second. — What sad times are these that the filthy Louisiana GOP have to betray the voice of the people. People should really be looking into this…
And I now pledge that if McCain wins the Republican nomination there is no way i will vote for him, even if it means writing in Ron Paul’s name on the ballot or God forbid not voting or even voting democrat. – the American people should not stand for such FRAUD as what happened in Louisiana PERIOD!

What I can’t understand is how there is absolutely no news coverage of a candidate who had raised as much money, if not more, than any other candidate. The only Republican to oppose the Iraq War and hardly any mention. Any coverage I see of Dr. Paul always mentions his “crazy followers”. Seriously? Leave Iraq, abolish the IRS, take care of Domestic affairs, and adhere to the Constitution. Someone explain to me what is crazy about this. My gas is $3.40 a gallon. My health insurance went up to $300 a month for just me. Everything is way more expensive than it’s ever been and I don’t make any more. Who is crazy? Please, let’s get together and make a difference. Let’s agree to unite and make this whole planet a better place. Perhaps, I am crazy.

All of the establishment “candidates” represent the same thing, whether democrat or republican. Their strings are pulled by the same controllers, which is why they all get media attention. Voting for any of them, including Huck will result in the status quo being maintained and more communism will result. Voting for the lesser of evils will only result in more evil. My vote will go to Ron Paul to the bitter end AND TO NO ONE ELSE, even if I have to write him in. Huck is not one bit different than Hillary in the final tally.

Arizona is definitely in play for Dr. Paul. We have a strong organization here and many committed supporters. Lots more than McCain in his “home” state. (McCain is a carpetbagger much like Hillary in New York) I am not surprised by the Louisiana political machine, it’s simply up to it’s longstanding corrupt ways. Super Tuesday will undoubtedly shake up the Republican party. Dr. Paul has much more support than most know about. The best thing about an “event” like the Feb. 5th primaries is that there is not so much of the media saturation by each candidate and individuals are more apt to vote for the candidate they are “FOR” as opposed to the one they saw the most media attention lavished on. Keep the faith Paul supporters. We can take this all the way to the convention.

I find the censorship of the GOP and media to be appauling. The blackballing of the Ron Paul campaign by the elites has to be one of the top stories of the decade–if only because it shows the sick state of our government and electoral process. We are loosing our country folks…

I am so disgusted with what’s going on in our elections here in the United States. First of all, there were some documented alleged “mistakes” in New Hampshire where some vote counter forgot to count some of Dr. Paul’s votes. Who knows how many other votes have disappeared in the “live free or die state”. Now we have this fiasco down in Louisiana that reeks of chicanery and manipulation of the voting process. We are fighting a war in Iraq for -DEMOCRACY-! What the hell is going on? We need to have the most transparent, open, honest and fair elections in the world if we are going to kill hundreds of thousands of people and tell them how great democracy is. I am so furious right now! I can not believe this type of shady management has corrupted the voting process, especially where a candidate like Ron Paul who already seems to be unfairly treated by the MSM and the political establishment stood to do very well in the caucus results. This is an outrage and a miscarriage of the voting process and is causing serious damage to the integrity of the United States voting process. I demand a complete OPEN AND TRANSPARENT investigation of what is going on in the Louisiana election process immediately or I will do everything in my power to inform as many people as possible that the election process in America has become unamerican.

Vote for Ron Paul? That is my only choice. No matter what happens. The other alternatives are almost unbearable. We could kill the Republican Party completely by everyone changing their party membership to Democrat? Unthinkable for me. Independent or Green? Certainly better than the two other evils. What to do, what to do….Believe me, I am praying, but (as Jewel says) “if praying were enough it would have come to be”, so I will just continue to fight the “good” fight, for what is right and true. It’s almost as if America has been planted with a virus. It seems to have been put into this country around the 1940′s early 50′s. Possibly earlier.
If you follow the trail of History and research it…you WOULD find the cause. You WOULD recognize this virus.
It desensitizes you, it can make you believe things that are not real, it can lay dorment and then emerge much later. If this is the case, then now we must fight even harder than ever.
This ELITE virus attached itself to a vunerable America all those years ago. It depends on Americans to be sleepy and sick. We were sleeping when a few ELITE made fortunes because of Hitler and sleeping while that money came back here. We were sleeping when thay sacrificed our sons in foreign lands. We were sleeping while they have grand meetings in the woods (google Bohemian Grove). We were sleeping when they gave drug and insurance companies such great power to “decide” how we get medical help. And we were sleeping while it re-emerged and infiltrated America’s heart, her White House.
Dr. Paul is like one little antibody trying to expose the vrus and defeat it. But we all know it take a GROUP of antibodies. WE are that group Where are we now? Are you infected or are you Awake?
Dr. Paul has points I don’t share, but he has my vote. The Media can press-block him, the diebolds can screw him, the ELITE can sling thier money. Dr. Paul knows where this country has been and he has personally stood up for ALL of us more on Capitol Hill than any other politician to prevent ot from going back there again.
So all of you out there who are Awake, keep supporting Dr. Paul and don’t go back to sleep!

I’m very new to all this political stuff, but I just read something from a voting watchdog group about getting photos at the caucuses? Don’t know exactly how that works, but I guess it’s proof of how many RP supporters were there. So did anybody take any? I guess I’ll find out when I google LA caucus photos tomorrow.
I have never seen so many different kinds of people united behind one candidate. There has to be a reason……And as the write above says.. keep running with that torch and when you feel you can’t run any further, pass it on, don’t let this flame die out…….Peace

LA State GOP needs to see itself on film! And then it needs to put its GOP house in order by penalizing those who exclude, break the rules, cheat on their own fellow party members, and steal the outcome. And the National RNC had better oversee and even step in with sanctions here, or credability of the RNC process will be subject to forfeit and be declared null and void! The problem was that La officials realized that there was an overwhelming vote for Ron Paul and tried to thwart it.
Now, I wonder what that ruckus in NH is all about — not putting the ballots in the vault and using non-stick tepes to “seal” the ballot boxes.
This might mean that there are really 2 states that Paul did not receive all the votes that his supporters tried their darndest to record.

Fear is a powerful. It is NO surprise to me that 10-term Congressman Dr. Ron Paul has been relegated to the sidelines by the mainstream media. I just thank God I finally woke up and see things for what they really are… a decent, honest man, playing by the only set of rules that matter, being crucified, vilified and ignored for doing and proposing to do the right things. You know, its really funny to listen to all the retoric over who is rigging what, what voting machines will do, who is controlling the media and their responce to Dr. Paul. Lets not forget that a mere 30 percent (aprox) of our colonial population managed to fight a revolution and bring about a change in our country that resulted in our much admired constitution. Our people are so used to being led by the nose that we must not forget that we can create change. If not through the ballot box then by some other means. Please don’t forget what Leck Walessa did in an iron curtain country. Without weapons, and by shear numbers they united and created a work stopage that crippled the economy. Just think, how long would it take for us to stop working and let the powers that be know that Dr. Paul will represent us or we just won’t be the busy little bee’s they expect us to be. What do you think America? Do we have it in us to be able to unite and appoint Dr. Ron Paul as our constitutionally correct represenative. If there’s ever been a canidate I could trust, he’s it. Lets hope the ballot box is not rigged and that Dr. Paul prevails. But never forget, we have an alternative if a majority of us can come together in protest of our current political trends.

Interesting reading. Not fictional in all cases, but certainly not real world. Does anyone seriously believe “President” Paul could acutally achieve any meaningful reforms with both the Democrats AND Republicans uniting under the Good Old Boys rules of legislating currently in place? Reality, folks, is the establishment looking out for itself, first – last, and always. I’m certainly not a historian, but the “let them eat cake” line has never been more apropos as shown by the self serving attitude of our current crop of politicians. There is no way Ted Kennedy, Nancy Polosi, the Clintons, etc, etc, etc would let anything upset the life style to which they have become accustomed. Royalty has its privileges, and as was heard on the floor of the Senate during debate over a proposed pay raise, “we deserve it”.
God bless and watch over America, our elected officals cerainly are not.

I’am absolutley sick of what this nation has become. How far from the constitution we have fallen. Further more I absolutley despise polititions. You know polititions- those who slobber for your votes, tell you what you want to hear and ultimatley long on words and short on action.
I cannot express how sick polititons make me. They almost make this country seem like a television drama. Now common this is no drama this is life. Now Ron Paul is a statesman, not a politition. Polititions change their mind, have no straight answer or opinion on the issues that really matter. The truth about that little tidbit is its safe, its safe in the middle. well we need an extreme we need reality not this so called existence in which our Big government has called life. no answers for all issues. and temporary solutions to some of the problems. remember people all of our actions are the cause of our problems. we need to do something because when you name something the patriot act and it happens to restrict and take away individual freedoms then you know something wrong. I was at the Caucus in Baton Rouge. I registered republican in late November or so, about the time Ron Paul’s e-mail newsletter told us to register in order to have a chance to vote in the caucuses as well as the primaries. Big surprise, I was sent to the “provisional” line- actually when I was there there was no “provisional line”- they just told us to go stand against a wall and eventually they brought out another table to take us. I’ve never done anything political because of apathy and a belief that the little people don’t matter in American politics before Dr. Paul came along. Wow, this certainly changed my mind. 8(

We have learned to expect very little truth from our political elites and this should be a wakeup call for every thinking American. We have very little time and a very slim chance of wresting our Constitutional Republic from the hands of the slimy “neocons” running the Republican party. Without sincere men like Dr. Paul to stop them from pushing us kicking and screaming into the New World Order, we will soon be lost forever. If the Republicans rig every primary or caucus and control the mainstream media, then we must support Dr. Paul on an independent ticket. I think you have to be a Registered Republican to be a delegate. I think the Republican nominee will be settled at the national convention. The next President will be settled at the polls. I think a lot of Ron Paul supporters are Unaffiliated or Independents so canot go to the National Republican Convention. I’d really like to know what % of America is Unaffiliated or Independent.
P.S> I’m utterly amazed that most everyone with a position I talk to supports Ron Paul; yet, he has yet to win a primary. I think it is mostly due to the process. The process is more important than the goal. Case in point is the voting machines. It is trivial to use double-voting and open source and checksums to ensure the voting comes out right. What a sham.

I wish for once the most intellegent and knowledgeable man were president, but this is not going to happen. The more I see these things, the more I realize how wise our forefathers were. They tried to build in safe guards in the Constitution, but it was thrown away.
If Dr Paul was put up beside the other candidates, I am afraid the rest would come across as under qualified.
Big money is driving its man for president. Not what the people want.

Tuesday is the Florida promary and you can bet that myself and my wife will be in line bright and early to vote for the only real candidate there is. My only regret is that I should have filed an absenty ballot so it would be recorded on paper, the machines are rigged and I’m afraid my vote for Ron Paul could be redirected to another unworthy candidate thanks to the corruption of the system.

RE: Ron Paul Accusations Louisiana Caucus – Any voter (Paul or otherwise) that was not on the official list of Registered voters by November 30, 2007 was required to vote with a “provisional” ballot. It is true that the deadline for registration was November 30 and there were a number of names of eligible voters that registered during November that were not on the list. The difference between a provisional ballot and a regular ballot is that the voter has to put their name and address on the ballot and cast the ballot in a separate box. This allowed the ballots to be certified by a Registrar as to the voter’s eligibility before co-mingling with the other ballots. Each of the names on the provisional ballots were validated by their respective Registrar of Voters the day after the election and the eligible ballots were then included in the totals.
Second, there were no “pre-registered” delegates for a particular candidate. The application form for running for a delegate seat had no references whatsoever to which candidate the applicant was supporting. In addition the names on the ballot had no reference to which candidate the delegate aspirant was supporting. Presidential campaign workers at the polling places produced a list of the names on the ballot that were favorable to their particular candidate.
As far as changing the rules, the qualifying deadline was extended in order to clear up conflicting deadlines dates that had been previously released.

Ron Paul won the most delegates in the Louisiana caucuses of any presidential candidate. The Louisiana GOP is lying when they say otherwise. The corrupt liars of the Louisiana GOP are showing their true colors. They are just as careless and corrupt as their counterparts in the Louisiana Democrat party. Rats and scum rule the roost, and the rest of Louisiana can drown in sewage (again) for all they care.

the same people that own the DNC and the RNC are the same people that own the media. the fascists will never give up power through the election process because they own it! mexico is the same way and that is where we are headed unless we can take back our country and Constitution.

one conversation at a time, that’s how you spread the message of freedom. everyone i meet has never heard of Ron Paul, and when i point out why, they wake up!! the people will listen, if you believe…PLEASE care enough to share your beliefs, with your family, your friends, your coworkers, your community…those with a brain, a heart, and a conscience will listen. they’ll understand what needs to be done. There ARE 50 states, but not all will be corrupt at the polls. That’s where the marches for freedom begin–9 more months before November–that’s enough time for a baby to hatch fellow Americans!!
