Paul to Continue With “Grand Revolution”
ABC News’ Z. Byron Wolf reports from Constitution Street in Concord, N.H.: Results are not finalized, but Texas congressman and libertarian Republican dark horse Ron Paul appears to have gotten only 8 or so percent in the presidential primary here — a poorer showing than last week, when Paul got 10 percent of the support at caucuses in Iowa. Paul finished fifth in both contests.
But Paul’s supporters, 500 or more, at a rally in Concord Tuesday night, were anything but deterred.
In fact, where supporters in Iowa seemed disappointed by the finish, supporters in New Hampshire were deafening in the Grappone Conference Center, located on Constitution Street here.
"Let us wish every one of us well, and let us continue this grand revolution," Paul exclaimed to cheers and repeated chants of "Ron Paul!"
The crowd alternated from chants of "Ron Paul!" to "No more war!" to, at the point in his speech when he talked about U.S. monetary policy, "End the Fed!"
At that point, Paul, who seemed buoyant and energized at the rally, made the "raise the roof" motion with his arms.
Paul said early Tuesday that he would continue through Feb. 5, regardless of the outcome of the New Hampshire primary, though he also said he expected to improve his standing in the Republican field, a prediction that did not come true.
"I think February 5th certainly is a good target point, because the enthusiasm of the supporters, and the spontaneity of them sending money, means we have the cash to do that, and it would be disappointing if you just dropped out, even though they’re voting support and contributing money, regardless, to continue the campaign. We’re in pretty good shape to go through February 5th, so I think we’ll continue," Paul said.
At the rally, he told his supporters not to be buoyed by the fact that the campaign, which has never caught traction in polls, despite strong online fundraising, has already, he argued, effected change in the presidential race.
"There is a significant change in tone. There’s a change in the economy, already. There’s a better understanding of monetary policy than there has been in a hundred years.
"Greater interest. And people are alert to it. Don’t let your guard down. Be encouraged. Let everybody know. Go out and spread this message. We are diverse and different, we have something that brings us together… this is what’s been so great about this campaign. We don’t have one or two people in an office sending out directives. This has been truly a freedom-loving group that has done truly whatever they wanted," he said.

Obama Backs Off Birth Control Battle?
I pray the American people will wake up and begin to support Ron Paul. He is the only one who sees the writing on the wall. We are printing money (out of thin air) so we can fight wars and occupy foreign lands to protect multi-national corporations. Meanwhile, the printing of money is wiping out the middle class and destroying poor people and those on fixed incomes. Please support Ron Paul in 2008.

It’s disgusting to see the media playing with the facts on Ron Paul. I prefer the outright opposition to his views instead of the left handed compliments that journalist use to placate the more illiterate of the masses (that group is in every camp). Very insidious to print that Dr. Paul is being shorted, wronged or misrepresented and then use adjectives such as “quixotic”, “fringe”, ad nauseam. This insults the intelligence of people that take pride in the right to choose for themselves. “Free Republic” website is seen for what it is- a smear that thanks to CNN was timed to do the most damage-right before NH elections.
For those that believe in RP remember that saying from Ghandi- first they ignore you, then they fight you
(lie in the press), then you win.
I will happily encourage all people that believe in civil freedom and property rights to vote for Ron Paul out of protest if for no other reason. That is a vote against all the so called “Republicans”

I am baffled by these results in New Hampshire. Seems like a state with the motto “Live free or die” would never vote for Clinton and McCain. Just dosen’t make any sense to me how Ron Paul only ended up with 8% of the vote. Smells fishy!

I am a Independent in Virginia and I just started to look at Candidates…I am going to follow Ron Paul.
He most likely has the highest IQ ,Why don’t his People show more on his Delivered 4000+ Babies or a TV ad with a Grown man/woman that he brought into this world?????

I know the media said that Ron Paul ONLY got 8% of the N.H. vote but he does have a grand revolution going on. I never seen people gather like this through the internet. Yes I think he effected change in the presidential race but he also effected change in internet politics. I’m glad he is continuing through Feb. 5th. We , the people of the internet, are diverse and different.

I can’t wait for the nation-wide synchronized Ron Paul march on January 21st, MLK day!! Let the nation wake-up to the changing political landscape on this historic day.

Many people say they want change and declare that change is needed. Change is unfortunately something many fear because change leads to the unknown. Change additionally requires work. We have become a lazy nation. We say we want change but we seemingly don’t want to pay the fiddler.

I support Ron. But the results are not a surprise. TO all RON PAUL SUPPORTERS, LOOK at his website numbers, numbers of new donors this quarter, those numbers tell the truth.. we dont have a snowballs chance. NH was close to 40% independent, we needed those votes, but they go to everyone, not just RP.TRUTH HURTS I KNOW,but dont bury your head in the sand to the numbers on his own website.

Its true the independants vote went all over, however candidates are dropping out, leaving independants less to choose from. In the end they may hear RPs message and choose him. Remember the race is not always won by the hare, sometimes the turtle gets to win too.

Marilyn True, but you might want to look at what Mccain got yesterday, the lions share of the I vote, and he wont be dropping anytime soon. Same with Romney , Hunkabee ,Giuliani. Dont see fred dropping as a boost in anyones elses support.

do you think this had something to do with the fact that RON PAUL had no participation in the fox news debate? shows u how much coverage on Fox.. if you make more noise it will be hard to ignore you.

Ron Paul is the most principled and qualified candidate in the race. God bless Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul is this nation’s only hope to put the brakes on a runaway federal government. He understands that civil and religious liberty lie in limited government which translates into limited taxation, sound monetary policies for ecomonic stability, and personal responsibility for one’s family, education, and faith. We are on the verge of demise as a nation if he doesn’t win since no other candidate seems to truly understand the God-given fundamentals for life, liberty, and the prusuit of happiness.

I hear so many asking if Ron Paul should drop out since he ONLY got 8% of the vote. Why is it I haven’t seen anyone asking why Giuliani doesn’t. He got less then 1% more of the vote then Ron Paul did in New Hampshire. Giuliani was beaten by Ron Paul in Iowa. Although I’m not sure exact numbers in Wyoming, Giuliani did not get enough votes to gain any delegates. Ron Paul has started from 0% in the polls to gain 8 – 10% of the vote so far. Giuliani, on the other hand, started in the 30% range and has gotten 3.5% and 9%. Somehow I think you’re asking the wrong candidate to drop out!

Nobody’s asking Giuliani to dropout because HE HAS NOT BEEN even paying visits to the states you list. Why, hes in Florida going after more delegates than the past 3 states combined. RP, has been trying in all 3 of those states, but not pulling more than 10 %

Ron Paul is not A change candidate… He is the ONLY change candidate. Look at the facts every single “front runner” for either party is either a member of the CFR or the Trilateral Commision. They are one in the same. There are no Democrats, There are no Republicans, only Neo-Cons. Ron Paul is the only true candidate, and the only one that will do what NEEDs to be done.

Actually, I read a study that showed Rudy spent the 2nd most money in NH and spent the 3rd most time there. Ron Paul was lower.

I read about the Paul and the description of him by this network is very negative. I wonder where is the liberal DARK horse Socialist democrate.

Dr. Ron Paul is an honorable man. His effort is not in vain -Not at all! My husband first said, “Look this man up on the internet. They won’t let him talk, so I know he’s got something to say.” I looked him up and have prayed for him and this movement every day since. The lack of coverage alloted this man is a shame to the media but has been an eye opener for millons. A return to Constitutional Government is worth the price we pay.
Thank you, Dr. Paul, and Thank you, Support Team. You have labored well giving birth to a mighty force – the true American breed.
