Whither Conservatives?

They dislike McCain, they distrust Romney, they don’t think Huckabee or Ron Paul are serious candidates.

What next for them?

Hey Jake – someone in the post below had a question:
“What is your explanation for the fact that when the speech was transcribed in your post, the comment about slowing the economy down was in quotation marks? It was quoted because it was obvious to whoever transcribed it (as it should have been to any listener) that Clinton was quoting a hypothetical straw-man argument.”
I’m sure you’ll be answering that right away!

In 1968, with a similar choice of candidates going into the Republican convention in Miami, Gov. Reagan announced he was the favorite son of Califoria as a candidate for President. It isn’t too late until the final ballot on Wednesday night in August of ’08. Alan Keyes!

Another person arrested in the Obama scandal. This is going to get good. The person is a Iraq-born billionaire Nadhmi Auchi with ties to REZKO

This is all nonsense.
Huck has got the juice. He is the real deal.
He has the Arkansas MoJo. He can beat the Clintons on his home turf. McCain maybe yes maybe not.
He can also beat BHO. If the change vibe is what is going on today. The only two that have this vibe is BHO and Huck.
McCain can’t beat BHO. If you have seen McCain in 1080 HiDef you know just how old he looks. He looks as bad or probably worse than Edward Kennedy. Young vs old, future vs. past. McCain can’t hang with BHO.
But the Huck can. Huck can even ROCK and/or ROLL.
GO HUCK.

HILARIOUS watching the Republicans IMPLODE. Two liberals running for their nomination…with the only REAL conservative…Ron Paul…being treated like he’s insane. The only thing that’s actually insane is the modern Republican Party: the party of Corruption, Incompetence, and Failure.

“Ron Paul…being treated like he’s insane.”
Uh…yeah. Good reason for that.
On the other hand… I hear gold prices are at near record highs, though. Paul should be able to barter some of his hoard for some serious loot.

Ok jOhn Edwa – your just a nutcase!
I find this all funny that non-conservatives and neo-cons and libs are trying to explain conservatism!!
True Conservatives (TC) believe in the First Amendment (McCains as with Libs do not)
TC believe in Smaller Government (McCain and Libs do not)
TC believe in a Strong Military (Libs not only do not but the despise the military) McCain believes in the military.
TC believe that enemy combatents should not be brought here but left in Guatomamo (McCain does not, Libs believe they should be treated better then Americans)
TC have the intelligence to now the man-made Global warming screaming is a fraud and an attempt to turn us to socialism (McCain is falling for Fraud, The libs are perpetrating the Fraud)
McCain and TC do believe in life for the innocent unborn, against the imorality of same-sex marriage thou.
The problem that conservatives see with McCain is that he betrayed the conservative and Republicans by siding with the coward Kennedy and Fienstein.
TC believe in the rule of law and that illegal immigration needs to stop now (So does more then 80% of America) McCain believes in Amnesty!
Republicans are not All conservatives but Conservatives are all Republicans when voting!
McCain will not win against Obama and will have a hard time against Clinton
Romney can win against both!
Oh another Thing I think the Democrats are in a lot more trouble!!

Great report on WN yesterday evening, Jake. And so, the cycle begins for the minority party, the Repubs: they’re almost out of power, almost out of ideas, and are thrashing about for a reincarnation of Ronald Reagan to continue spreading their conservative ideology like declaring ketchup to be a vegetable. God bless ‘em all!
