‘Who Does Dennis Kucinich Think He Is?’

ABC News’ Donna Hunter reports: Saying that Sen. Chris  Dodd, D-Conn., is not too pleased with Dennis Kucinich is putting it mildly.  While at an event in Ottumwa, Iowa the senator became hot under the collar when asked about Kucinich telling his supporters to back Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., if he doesn’t get the necessary 15 percent on caucus night.

"Who is Dennis Kucinich to tell these people who to vote for? Iowans make up their own minds on who they are going to vote for and if they don’t vote for you for some reason don’t you start to tell them who not to vote for. I find that offensive," he said.

Dodd  was equally offended by the idea that his rivals for the White House would even think about coming to him or suggesting he follow Kucinich’s lead. "I’ve said to everyone in these other campaigns don’t come to me looking for a deal. I’m trying to convince Iowans to stand with me and support me," Dodd  said.

In the past few weeks Dodd has walked the line on whether or not he would consider a Vice President spot if he doesn’t make it out of Iowa. If he’s not successful he’ll be supporting a Democrat no matter what.  But it’s not clear if no matter what includes Kucinich.

LOL. Dodd is a bitter, angry Lieberman Democrat who has no shot.

I’m an Edwards supporter, but do not find Chris Dodd’s behavior offensive at all.
Chris Dodd took a stand in the Senate to prevent AT&T, Verizon, etc. from obtaining immunity from prosecution for allowing the government to spy on Americans and get our personal information.
John Edwards congratulated him for his efforts. Given the opportunity, neither Senator Obama nor Senator Clinton went to the Senate to stand with him against the big telecoms.
I was pleased to see Edwards give him recognition and support Dodd’s stand against spying, wiretapping, and other illegal methods to gain our personal information.

Actually, Biden and Obama were the only ones to pledge to go to help Dodd Filibuster. But the vote was delayed so they did not need to go. Edwards and Clinton and others did not pledge to go back, so I don’t see how Edwards congratulating him is anything to be proud of. Biden and Obama supported Dodd more than the others.

With violations of the U.S. Constitution, Geneva Conventions, and international law, there is plenty of basis to support impeachment proceedings against the Bush/Cheney administration. Lines have been crossed. Three Congressmen from the Judiciary Committee went to bat, saying they want hearings on Kucinich’s impeachment bill. ABC should be focusing on those Congressmen, not censoring them. It’s important. (Once upon a time, the “A” in ABC stood for AMERICAN.) Furthermore, I am against any presidential candidate who is NOT calling for impeachment. To watch America be violated and disassembled–its integrity lost–and not call for impeachment IS NOT LEADERSHIP. True statesmanship, honoring America and the framers of the Constitution, would already say that “enough is enough.” Kucinich calls for impeachment, and candidates who don’t–at least support hearings–have already shown bad judgment that should disqualify them from becoming President.

Yes, they both should have been impeached and congress should have been behind that bill. Both Bush and Cheney lied to the American people and have been lying for a long time. How the state of Ohio elected Bush knowing he was the worst president we ever had is beyond me. I can’t wait until they are both out of office so the new president whoever that may be can get America out of this mess.

Dennis Kucinich is a brave American, unlike his spineless peers. Though I don’t believe in all his values, he has this one right on! Bush/Cheney are thugs and tyrants, and have broken countless laws in office. Dodd is just another jellyfish of a man, like Joe (AIPAC) Loserman. If congress had acted properly, they would already be gone. Pelosi should be tried for treason for failing to execute her oath of office.
