With Debate Snub Looming, Will Paul Fund His Own TV Forum?
ABC News’ Z. Byron Wolf Reports: What to do if you are Ron Paul and Fox News excludes you from its debate in New Hampshire?
You buy an hour of TV time on a rival network’s New Hampshire affiliate for either just before or during the forum, that’s what.
Ron Paul does not have double digit support in national or New Hampshire polls, and that is probably going to cost him a slot in a Fox News forum in New Hampshire on Sunday, January 6th — one day after the ABC/Facebook debate cosponsored by ABC affiliate WMUR.
But while he lacks poll support, Paul has campaign coin in spades after raising nearly $20 million last quarter.
Spokesman Jesse Benton said the campaign has the money both to produce and air an hour-long town hall forum, and says they like the idea so much they might do it even if Fox eventually relents and includes Paul in the debate.
Benton said Fox News has not been returning phone calls from the campaign. The New Hampshire Republican Party has called on the network to include both Paul and Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter in the debate.

I think he should be included. I’m not going to vote for him, but he is a potential candidate and while I disagree with most of his ideas, he deserves to be heard.

If you look at the exponential growth rate of Ron Paul’s campaign (from 1-10%), his huge donation box (just about $20 million), his presence on the internet, and a fervor that has 9 months to come to a climax, I think he has a pretty good chance. I’m glad I’ll be able to say I supported him from the beginning.
He’s not a fringe candidate: It’s censorship.

That’s the truth

Ron Paul does not support collectivism. Racism will persist until we stop thinking about race in terms of individual groups and start believing in individual liberty. Ron Paul’s entire campaign is based on individual liberty.
Those who maintain a group mentality actually perpetuate racism by thinking in terms of groups.

Paul does have double digits in NH according to some polls. Thompson does not.

What will Fox do when Ron Paul WINS Iowa today? Will they still keep him out of the debate?

I myself am not a Ron Paul supporter, but I was hoping to hear more of his message anyways. Its a shame Fox excluded him when he does deserve to be there.

A sincere Thank You Fox News. This will be a HUGE positive issue once RP suprises in Iowa and N.H.. Imagine the egg on Fox news faces when RP beats out Rudy, Thompson, McCain. I would pay huge sums of depreciating greenbacks to be able to see them in the boardroom the morning after both Iowa and N.H.!!
Ron Paul(after Iowa/N.H.) smiling in front of MSM cameras($20,000,000 coin in his pocket) and says in his most disarming modest way “Imagine that, people like freedom, maybe I(and my supporters) are not so kooky after all.”

“they like the idea so much they might do it even if Fox eventually relents and includes Paul in the debate.”
They should go ahead and do it anyway, because Fox News cannot be trusted.
None of the networks have given him equal time (that certainly isn’t ‘fair and balanced’), and most of them spin anything he says, whenever they’re not interrupting him and talking all over what he’s saying (rude, much?).
Perhaps the RP campaign should start their show after the Fox debates so Dr. Paul can address any points he didn’t get to address earlier.

Rupert Murdoch and Fox’s producers, who have a political agenda, are terrified of Ron Paul.

They should go ahead and do it anyway, because many of Ron Paul’s ideas cannot be explained in 2-minute ‘sound bites’, AND his ideas are worthy of a full and complete consideration,

Brilliant! If the gate-keepers try to keep you quiet, bypass them! Besides, Ron’s ideas aren’t worthy of a 30 second time allotment. Fox is just making themselves look like fools.

Now ABC is talking of doing the same thing. We will be complaining to their advertisers the same way we did Fox. I urge any other Paul supporters to do the same.

Only in America can a candidate who endorses following the Constitution be considered “fringe”.
It just goes to show how bad our education system is and how religion has infected politics with a fanatical edge that borders on Iranian extremism over their hidden imam.
Sorry people, religion did not create this nation. Religion did not create the space program, it did not give us computers, it did not give us antibiotics. Religion did keep us in the dark for untold thousands of years and obstructed science and social progress.
Unfortunately that same obstructionist religion is what is propelling Huckabee to the top.
