And What Does Chelsea Think?
Despite an active role in her mother’s campaign and glowing descriptions from all who know her, Chelsea Clinton, 27, doesn’t talk to the press on the record, so I have no idea what she makes of the controversy of the MSNBC anchor referring to the Clinton campaign as having "pimped her out" — and the Clinton campaign threatening to boycott NBC debates as a result.
But there is reason to think that Chelsea is attuned to feminist criticisms of some of the media coverage of her mother.
Especially that incident before the day before the New Hampshire primary when a couple of college-age misfits stood up at a town hall in Salem and yelled at Clinton to "Iron my shirts!"
In 1970, feminist Robin Morgan wrote a famous essay called "Goodbye to All That," which took on sexism within the culture — and pointedly within liberal circles. "Goodbye, goodbye forever, counterfeit Left, counterleft, male-dominated cracked-glass mirror reflection of the Amerikan Nightmare," she wrote. "Women are the real Left."
A few days ago, Morgan wrote a follow-up to that essay, entitled "Goodbye to All That (#2)."
"During my decades in civil-rights, anti-war, and contemporary women’s movements, I’ve avoided writing another specific ‘Goodbye…’" Morgan writes. "But not since the suffrage struggle have two communities—joint conscience-keepers of this country—been so set in competition, as the contest between Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) and Barack Obama (BO) unfurls. So.
"Goodbye to the double standard . . .
"—Hillary is too ballsy but too womanly, a Snow Maiden who’s emotional, and so much a politician as to be unfit for politics.
" —She’s ‘ambitious’ but he shows ‘fire in the belly.’ (Ever had labor pains?)—When a sexist idiot screamed ‘Iron my shirt!’ at HRC, it was considered amusing; if a racist idiot shouted ‘Shine my shoes!’ at BO, it would’ve inspired hours of airtime and pages of newsprint analyzing our national dishonor."
It goes on from there — with various cracks at Carl Bernstein, Southpark, Chris Matthews, Obamagirl, and of course Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, himself.
You can read it HERE.
Morgan’s essay has been e-mailed around by one of Chelsea’s fiends, Nicole Davison, as first reported by one of Chelsea’s friends Nicole Davison wrote: "A must read…send to every woman you know…"
And though the campaign doesn’t comment on Chelsea’s personal correspondence, Chelsea forwarded the essay along, too.
Chelsea wrote: "I echo Nickie though would also add to please forward this to all the men you know too–voting in the election tomorrow, voting next week, already voted. I don’t agree with all the points Robin Morgan makes but I do believe her thesis is important for us all to confront–I confess that I didn’t entirely get ‘it’ until not only guys stood up and shouted ‘iron my shirts’ but the media reacted with amusement, not outrage…"
What say you, vox populi?

Sen. DeMint: GOP Race Could Go Until Convention
Obama Avoids Questions on Contraception Rule
How does someone write an entire article about the feminist implications of the Clinton campaign without mentioning Bill? Isn’t it obvious that her campaign is more about being the first presidential spouse elected president than it is about being the first woman?
Posted by: Vote4BO | February 8, 2008, 5:28 pm 5:28 pm
Hmm, it is interesting, and quite true that if someone made a racist remark publically against Obama, it would incite national protest. But a sexist remark like the one said to Clinton Part Deux didn’t. Says something about how we as a nation, feel about women in politics. To be completely honest, I think there are plenty in this country that aren’t ready for a woman, or even a black President. But this is a small percentage. Sadly, this race has turned into a sex vs. sex race, and remarkably, it hasn’t started a race vs. race race. That too shows how our country feels. I’m sorry, but just because you are a woman, or a man, doesn’t mean I’m going to vote based on my gender. And even if you’re black, white, indian, french, pacific islander, etc., doesn’t mean I’ll vote based on my skin color of ethnic background. I’ll vote for the person who I feel will best do the job. Sadly, Dr. Paul won’t be in the race later this year. So I’ll take the lesser of the two evils. Besides, if I don’t vote, I have no right to complain.

Doing all the things possible from behind the scene to campaign for her mom and hiding from media…. speaking only at her convenience and advantageous position.. that says she inherited some strong skill from her mom… “DEVIOUS”.
Posted by: moeen | February 8, 2008, 5:35 pm 5:35 pm
Of course a BHO supporter would say that. Anything to avoid having to consider the unvarnished truth about your “savior”. Where’s the change? What has he ever changed? What has he done, other than suck up to Oprah and the Kennedy’s? The shouts you hear from the back of the arena in Denver, “Only One Term” – that’s me. The unrelenting overt sexism in this campaign being doled out from behind the shield of racism is inexcusable. Robin Morgan is right – if someone told him to shine their shoes, it would be an unrelenting conga line of mea culpas and indignant Anderson Cooper’s until November. Hillary has enough strength and gravitas to let a comment like that go. And the mainstream media doesn’t pick up on that. Would Barack? Doubtful. He’ll probably go cry to Oprah when it (and it will-don’t doubt it) happens. Oh, and shame on Katha Pollitt for backing Barack. She should know better.

Isn’t it amazing that, in this campaign where no white man is running, so much of the heat is coming from race and gender issues?
Why is that? Because Team Clinton perceives a strategic advantage. It wants to make the campaign about Obama being black (to move Latino and white voters to Clinton) and about Clinton being a woman (to galvanize the woman voters). At bottom, a cold-hearted calculation – Clinton’s identity group (ladies) is much, much bigger than Obama’s (blacks).
Arguably, this opportunistic and purposeful manipulation of race and gender is even worse than overt, ignorant racism or sexism.

To call Chelsea Clinton devious simply because she works for her mother’s election but shuns the media spotlight is ridiculous. On the contrary it speaks well about how she was raised.
With respect to the fact that Senator Clinton was first lady, why is Ted Kennedy a senator if not for his brother? Why is Bush president if not for his father? For that matter, why was his father president if not for his father? Moreover, to quote from the article referenced above, apart from Golda Meir and Margaret Thatcher, “Almost all other female heads of government so far have been related to men of power—granddaughters, daughters, sisters, wives, widows: Gandhi, Bandaranike, Bhutto, Aquino, Chamorro, Wazed, Macapagal-Arroyo, Johnson Sirleaf, Bachelet, Kirchner, and more. Even in our ‘land of opportunity,’ it’s mostly the first pathway “in” permitted to women: Representatives Doris Matsui and Mary Bono and Sala Burton; Senator Jean Carnahan . . . far too many to list here.”

I want to suggest (especially to my feminist “sisters”) that perhaps the reason folks don’t automatically get in an uproar over nasty comments made about Hillary and her family members is because the Clintons have for years been down there in the mud giving as good as they got.
I want to remind everyone that part of Hillary’s reputation for “toughness” has been achieved by mastering Rovian politics and crisis management. For the Clinton family to cry foul strikes many people as complaining about a political atmosphere and public discourse that the Clintons have actively engaged in and fostered.
It’s dismaying that this sort of trashtalk has become commonplace in our public discourse. But don’t forget that the trashtalk is a symptom of our current politics. I want this to change; and that’s why I’m voting for Obama.

The best man for the job may be a woman, but I don’t think Mrs Clinton is the right person to be president.
Mrs Clinton is bright, ambitious and accomplished, but she also has a very polarizing and divisive effect on many people.
Gender aside, this is not the type of personality we need to heal and unite our Nation at this time.
Posted by: x32792 | February 8, 2008, 6:43 pm 6:43 pm
To be “outraged” over the Iron My Shirt comment, as Chelsea is purported to be, is simply a cheap political appeal to Clinton’s base. Nobody under 60 has ever heard or would use that expression as as putdown. It might resonate for women who were adults in the 70s. I agree that there is still a lot of sexism, but a woman who rode her husband’s coattails until now should not be a symbol of its demise.
Posted by: Constantine | February 8, 2008, 6:43 pm 6:43 pm
It is not about Gender. It is not about about Race. It is about Human Identity. Obama has struck a chord with the American People on this identity issue. This is NEW, those Sexist and Racist comments (mentality)are OLD.

It seems to me that Hillary needs the free news coverage…perhaps she had it set up all along. The Clinton’s are very smart people, politically. I wouldn’t put it past them…do anything to get elected.
Posted by: MJ | February 8, 2008, 6:47 pm 6:47 pm
The point is that she is attacked for her sex not for her viewpoints. The article being circulated says that we wouldn’t accept someone getting up and shouting to Obama, “shine my shoes,” but we do accept them saying, “iron my shirt.” If you don’t understand why the latter is derogatory, how it says to Hillary, “I don’t care what you’ve accomplished, what you say, you’re just a servant to me,” then I don’t know what to say. All of the coverage is sexist and the “humor” around the campaign is so sexist that I really don’t know what to say. To say that Chelsea is being “pimped out by the Clintons,” says, in effect, that she doesn’t make her own decisions and speak her own mind. All of us, regardless of who we support, should condemn this language.
Posted by: Hillary | February 8, 2008, 6:55 pm 6:55 pm
Ken: To say we should not support Obama because “no country has done well under a black man” is racist, pure and simple. Western countries thus far have been too racist to accept blacks as leaders, and African countries have been subjugated for centuries and do not have the technological and institutional advantages of the developed world.
I lean toward Clinton and seek to defend her from all the irrational hatred that the right wing has spread against her, and that is now infecting some on the left as well. But Obama shows real promise and if he wins the nomination I will support him wholeheartedly. Let’s keep racism and sexism out of this!

At Feb. 8 there was a detailed report in the biggest and highly respected german newspaper “Sueddeutsche Zeitung” about the work of Chelsea Clinton (second page of the business section).
FYI: Chelsea Clinton is currently employed at the hedge fund “Avenue Capital” at Wall Street. Her annaual salery is estimated several hundred thousand Dollar per annum.
Interesting for germans, maybe also for US citizens. Here in germany many of these hedge fonts are resposible for the unnacassary destruction of many companies and the abolition of thousands of jobs.

The phrase “pimping out” was pretty inappropriate for a so-called news show. However, the guy has a point. This whole “Chelsea doesn’t talk to the press, but she’ll talk to *you*, Big Powerful Superdelegate,” is a little creepy.
Posted by: Jennybean | February 8, 2008, 7:31 pm 7:31 pm
Is Chelsea off limits to scrutiny? She’s an educated professional who’s chosen to enter politics. She’s been doing much more than sitting innocently on the sidelines, in the classic ‘smile for camera, child of politician’ role. I don’t see any thing wrong with her campaigning, but it should not come as a surprise for journalists to remark on her presence.
Clinton would love to play up more incidents such as this, to bring gender issues back into the public eye with race issues shortly to follow. The Clinton’s are becoming increasingly desperate and to bring sexism into the media spotlight would draw attention away from the issues and away from hillary’s unpopularity, to her only hope of winning – which is to draw the focus of the election to race and gender. Unfortunately for Hillary, that wont win her the election either.

If Shuster had said the same remark about Michelle Obama, the black community would have unleashed holy hell.
The real truth is MSNBC has sold its soul. It’s misogynistic coverage of Clinton and ga ga pandering to Obama is despicable.
MSNBC is nothing more than Obamas attack mouthpiece.
The management and program directors at MSNBC have allowed and promoted an anything goes atmosphere for Hillary bashing.
Matthews, Olbermann and now Shuster. Their biased coverage, Obama spinning, and Hillary bashing have disgusted and sickened me. And to think I had been a big fan of their programs.
Not any more. So long MSNBC. You were my home page and source for news, but these ass clowns have ruined your programming.

I have been completely dismayed by MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann throughout the campaign season. Until now, I’ve always counted on Chris Matthews for his passion, energy, and love of this country to at least give people a fair shake in a debate or conversation. Sadly, MSNBC has joined the rest of the media who do nothing to broaden global or national perspectives or challenge us to think for ourselves. That said, I am weary of the media bias and equally weary of attacks on the very gracious bright light of the Clinton Family.
Sincerely,

I welcome the discussion that this has brought up on the blogs and wish that we could have more of the talk of gender in the nation media. Those who suggest that we would be if we said that when Obama’s daughters are on stage that the Obama’s are “pimping them out”. It is totally inappropriate to talk about girls or women that way.
Constantine, you are naive if you think that women no longer encounter the “iron my shirt” mentality. We still have both race AND gender issues in this country. That is one of the reasons that women still make 71 cents on the dollar compared to men. You said that “nobody under 60 has ever heard or would use that expression as as putdown” and yet they did. And we all knew what they meant.
Women are still characterized as “the B word” if they are competent, no nonsense, assertive people. Many of us still encounter this “iron my shirt” mentality. And we are still OUTRAGED by it. If the gender issue got nearly as much attention as the race issue, maybe we could see even more progress.
Jake Tapper, thanks for bringing this up on your blog and I hope to see you, Charlie Gibson, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopolous talk about it.

Congratulations to MSNBC – in Keith Olbermann, Chris Mathews & David Schuster you now have a triad of Bill O’Reilly wannabees at your network. They are no more fair and balanced than “Bill-O” himself. I was (and I do mean was) a loyal fan of MSNBC news but no more. “Keith-O” and his side kick Chris have taken every opportunity to promote Barack Obama while at the same time openly disparage Hillary Clinton at every turn.I have grown weary of them and the entire MSNBC network. Shame on all of you! I admire and respect both Hillary and Barack – it is a shame that your network is incapable of simply covering both candidates – equal time – and fairly. So long, MSNBC…Hello CNN…

Hate to be cynical, but to me this looks like the same kind of stunt pulled before several other state caucuses/primaries to garner sympathy for Hillary and hopefully turn it into votes.

You’ve got to be kidding? You want to know how Chelsea feels about being called a whore? She’s thrilled I’m sure. Just like she was when ABC came after her on Super Tuesday for serving coffee to poll workers in CT. The media’s gone way too far with its Clinton hate. Whatever people think about Hillary, everyone should stand together to tell the media to back off and let Obama win on his own.

Staggering Numbers
Keeping in mind that Hillary – in her own “two for the price of one” pronouncement – told the nation that she would be sharing the presidency with her husband, it would beg the imaginations of even her most fervent acolytes that the tsunami of scandals that inundated the Clinton tenure somehow escaped either the notice or personal involvement of Hillary herself.
To see the shocking Scandal Index of the Clinton years, as compiled by the liberal Progressive Review (http://prorev.com) is to appreciate the Clinton’s 24/7/365 belief that any progress in their leftist domestic and foreign affairs agenda could only be realized through the most nefarious activity – much of which fit neatly into the criminal category. Under the listing of “Records Set’” by the Clinton administration (read: co-presidency), Progressive Review cites the following, of which I will only list a sampling:
▪ Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates.
▪ Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation.
▪ Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify.
▪ Most number of witnesses to die suddenly.
▪ First president sued for sexual harassment.
▪ First president accused of rape.
▪ First president to be held in contempt of court.
▪ First president to be impeached for personal malfeasance.
▪ First first lady to come under criminal investigation.
▪ Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign-contribution case.
▪ Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions.
▪ Number of Starr-Ray investigation convictions or guilty pleas to date: one governor, one associate attorney general and two Clinton business partners: 14.
▪ Number of Cabinet members who came under criminal investigation: 5.
▪ Number of individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine that were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes: 47.
▪ Number of these convictions during Clinton’s presidency: 33.
▪ Number of indictments/misdemeanor charges: 61.
▪ Number of congressional witnesses who pleaded the Fifth Amendment, fled the country to avoid testifying, or (in the case of foreign witnesses) refused to be interviewed: 122.
▪ Guilty pleas and convictions obtained by Donald Smaltz in cases involving charges of bribery and fraud against former Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy and associated individuals and businesses: 15; acquitted or overturned cases (including Espy): 6.
▪ Clinton machine crimes for which convictions were obtained: drug trafficking, 3; racketeering, extortion, bribery, 4; tax evasion, kickbacks, embezzlement, 2; fraud, 12; conspiracy, 5; fraudulent loans, illegal gifts, 1; illegal campaign contributions, 5; money laundering, 6; perjury, et al.
▪ Number of times that Clinton figures who testified in court or before Congress said that they didn’t remember, didn’t know, or something similar: Bill Kennedy, 116; Harold Ickes, 148; Ricki Seidman, 160; Bruce Lindsey, 161; Bill Burton, 191; Mark Gearan, 221; Mack McLarty, 233; Neil Egglseston, 250; John Podesta, 264; Jennifer O’Connor, 343; Dwight Holton 348; Patsy Thomasson, 420; Jeff Eller, 697; and Hillary Clinton, 250.

Robin Morgan’s article is so on point — as a black woman I felt what I call a “black backlash,” which included both surprise and contempt, for supporting HRC. And I don’t understand. It’s not like Obama is rooted in African American civil rights. I know more that the HRC — not just Bill Clinton — has done for Civil Rights than Obama. I can understand liberal whites feeling compelled to vote for Obama, many b/c of their hatred of the Clintons and need to atone for a history of racial oppression and discrimination. But I am both black and a woman so I don’t feel compelled to vote on either race or gender, but on the issues.

If she gonna “play politics” with mommy and daddy she better get thicker skin…and so had mommy and daddy. They ARE USING CHELSEA AS POLITICAL FODDER pure and simple.
All this is is just more drama for the Clintons. They thrive on drama. As for me I don’t even like the daytime soaps. All the crap in the campaign they are running is way more than that.

Crass? yes. Rude? yes. Stupid? yes.
Appropriate for television? No.
A comment about the child? or A comment about the parents referencing the child?
Beautiful manipulation of language.
The clinton experience demonstrated again.
The comment while referencing the child, is in fact about the parents.
Yes, this was another version of ‘they will say or do anything to get elected’ in the crudest possible language.
They will use their child and clearly, they have taken full advantage of this opportunity to maximize that use to get what they want.
The multiplier effect here is phenomenal.
The experience the clintons have and use best.
It would appear that they even manipulated the idiot who made the comment into believing their version of it rather than it’s actual face value meaning.
That is powerful voodoo.
Why do so many allow the clintons to tell them how to understand language, how to think?
When the clintons are manipulating language to create the illusion of victimhood?
The comment itself implies that the child too is being manipulated and used in a victim like way by the experienced parents. The magic of the clinton machine to create this sort of illusion is fascinating.
Is that the leadership you want?
Are you going to put a mother, who holds her child out in front of her as protection, into the highest public office in this country?
A position where she will be granted the authority to not only use her own child, but will also be given authority, by you, to use you or your child?
In addition to being ‘outraged’, the clintons went further with this particular illusion to re-direct your attention from the actual manipulation.
The clintons used this smoke screen:
‘We see a disturbing pattern emerging here’
conveniently leaving out what the pattern is
to break the mirror which is pointing at the actual manipulation (work to influence super delegates).
The real pattern emerging is the one in which the media notice the actual manipulation and point it
out to the general public.
This is the worst possible thing that can happen for the clintons which is why they took the free media to first distort and then magnify an event that should have worked to benefit the american people into one that works to benefit the clintons.
Are you now thinking about what the child was
claimed to be doing?
Calling superdelegates? or
Are you completely focused on one word and the bad people who used that word as an attack on the poor clintons and their innocent child?
Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay is an amazing chronicle of alchemy and other epidemics that have been foisted on societies over the past six hundred years. Very few people recognize these schemes while they are in play.
Are you a participant in the largest confidence game in the history of mankind?
You have a choice, either you wake up now and pay attention to what is happening around you for yourself or you accept the reality that the clintons create for you and wait to read about yourself five years from now. The books will be written.
MSNBC should boycott the Clintons. That would be a public service.
It is not too late to break the spell

And funny, just a couple of weeks ago, it seemed that reporters had no interest in talking to Hillary.

I never thought of myself as a feminist, because I feel equal and free towards men and societies. It’s a daily practice of feeling I am worth something because I don’t spare my efforts; I feel the same way Robin Morgan writes in her essay. It makes me laugh and feel hilarious. It just feels great. That’s probably why I kind of understand Hillary Clinton, beyond the little details of her physicality. I guess it has to do with spirit and mind. Don’t miss out on the opportunity of voting not for a woman president but for an exceptional woman president.A woman is everything a man cannot articulate when it comes to his deep needs and frustrations, but an exceptionnal woman is one who makes you articulate your own rejection of your own frustrations, so you feel more your own humanity. She is a lover, a sister, a mother, a buddy, a fighter and all that with dignity.Vote Hillary.

THE VOICE OF REASON! THANKS FOR SHARING! OH, AND I AGREE 100%
“The call for Hillary to “iron my shirt” from one of the people in the audience of one of her debates was so odd, that it was most likely a plant by her campaign to stir up controversy that she could “rise above”.

It is amazing to me to see so much denial of the potency of sexist comments and practices. Are there any women on earth who do not know about this???!!! Whether Hillary Clinton has earned the presidency is a legitimate question for debate. But ugly, smug, dismissals, the slimy, gratuitous hatred that is regularly spewed out whenever her name comes up???? Come on. Some nerve is being struck and it is hard to believe it doesn’t have to do with the culture confronting a smart, powerful woman who refuses to give in and give up.

Obama’s time will come when the rightwing hate machine says anything they want—true or not–about him, his wife, and his daughters.
He and Michelle have NO IDEA what’s ahead of them in the general election campaign.
Good for Hillary, good for Chelsea!!
Brave, classy ladies.

Amazing vitriol in these comments. Give the candidates credit – they’re not sinsiter conspirators, just humans doing their best. You may not agree with their ideas and methods, but that’s no reason to consider them the embodiment of evil.

Hey, randomtexan were sleeping through the Clinton Years? Wake up! Been there, done that, don’t want to do it again!

Mary, when the “rightwing hate machine says anything they want—true or not–about him, his wife, and (Obama’s) daughters”, he will likely have to ignore it, the way he ignored Clinton’s going after his race, his alleged religion, and his inexperience in serving: on the Board of Walmart, for the Rose law firm and in the capacity of the First Lady. But then again, he has something more to run on than sympathy/pity. He has a hope that is based on people respecting his ability to win logical arguments, rather than a needing them to emotionalize EVERYTHING in this campaign.
No one said “shine my shoes” to Obama in S.C. And that wouldn’t have been a reason to vote for him if they had. But a politician DID say that his appeal would be based on and limited to his race, like Jesse Jackson’s was. Even though it wasn’t. The politician in question? Oh, right. The one who’s too busy being a victim to ever do anything wrong. The one who’s too excited with a nepotistic candidacy whose only competitve appeal is largely based on her gender.

If you have studied anything about the Clintons and the strategies they use in their campaigns, you would immediately realize that the “iron my shirts” guy was most likely planted by their campaign office.
This is what they do. (poor Hillary, she’s a woman, she has to use her own 5 million dollars for her campaign, she cries for the camera, wah wah wah.) Unfortunately, the strategy works for them because human beings have a short memory and want to believe everything they see on TV or read on the internet. The Clinton political machine has been doing this for years.
I would love to see a woman president…but I will not blindly vote for any person based on gender or race or looks or some stupid remark a reporter made or ??? I vote for the person based on who they are and what they stand for. The best way to determine that is to look at the past. Clinton is no victim. I never once saw her shed a tear over soldiers in body bags, or her husband’s humiliating infidelity. I see no genuine sorrow for the racist remarks uttered in her campaign. And I am sure she will rise above all of this to participate in the debate on NBC so she can come out looking like some martyr. Chelsea will be sitting in the audience and it will all be a kodak moment on the campaign trail. What I see is some shameless plays of her gender card (i.e. “Iron my shirts”) to try to garner some sympathy. That’s not something I respect in a person.

The “iron my shirts!” crack was a test, and she blew it.
Women seem to pride themselves on being above the male-centric tendencies toward name-calling and confrontation. When confronted with this, women simply whine that males should be more civilized and act more like women. Not gonna happen until testosterone is outlawed.
What would have earned Hillary the vote of the guy with the wrinkled shirts is if she had immediately come back at him full force – got right in his face with some remark like “Mow my lawn!”. Not only would that have shown that she had a sense of humor but would have shown that she doesn’t lay down and let others fight her battles for her.
And when you enlist your daughter in your campaign and set her up for breakfast dates with potential supporters, you shouldn’t be surprised when the occasional “pimp” comment is heard. Somewhere, somehow, we seem to have come to the conclusion that we have the right never to be offended, but that is absolutely not true. Freedom of speech means I get to say stuff that you find offensive, and you have to eat it so long as I can back it up (like with a perfectly appropriate dictionary definition). If the media had any cojones whatsoever they would never, ever suspend employees for what they are being paid to say. If Hillary had heard that pimp remark and laughed and said that she pimped her husband out a lot more, I’d be standing on street corners handing out her campaign materials.
Don’t give me overly sensitive wimps that lack a sense of humor.
Give me a politician that can live with the way real people talk on the street, laugh off the small stuff, and get right in my face when I imply they can’t do the job.
