Bigger Than Limbaugh (in LA)
Over at Ruralvotes.com, Al Giardano notes a significant radio moment most of us gringos missed yesterday.
On the El Piolín radio show, the most popular radio show in Los Angeles , Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., called in to host Eddie Sotelo with a big love note to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, which Sotelo translated for his Spanish-speaking listeners.
“Only two senators marched for immigrant rights on May 1, 2006," Kennedy said, "one in Washington and the other in Chicago. I marched in Washington and Barack Obama marched in Chicago. He was not afraid to stand up when others wouldn’t.”
Kos considers this a pretty big moment.
Interestingly, even though she was in LA, Clinton last night continued to sound more moderate on the subject of illegal immigration. "You know, I was in Atlanta last night, and an African-American man said to me, ‘I used to have a lot of construction jobs, and now it just seems like the only people who get them anymore are people who are here without documentation.’" she recalled. "So, I know that what we have to do is to bring our country together to have a comprehensive immigration reform solution."
After the debate, on MSNBC, Air America’s Rachel Madow lambasted Clinton for those remarks, while Pat Buchanan praised her.

Obama Backs Off Birth Control Battle?
Is the retraction and apology coming today?

Only an ultra liberal like Madow would be offended by a remark like that. Hillary is 100% correct, the idea that illegals aren’t negatively effecting our economy is insane. Of course they are. That doesn’t mean we should be inhumane about the issue, but you lefties forget MOST of the nation wants the immmigration issue DEALT with. Ignoring that jobs are being lost is naive and short sighted. Clinton scored on that one. Maybe not with Obamaites like Madow.. but with everyone else.

If xenophobic ultra-protectionist and archconservative Pat Buchanan ever praises you as a candidate, you’d darn well better examine your behavior and positions to discover where you’ve gone astray.

So where is Obama and the murderer running Obama for President here or Mexico?
Bigger then Limbaugh? I doubt it!
The illegals here are affecting the African-Americans and legal minorities more then Whites so how is Obama for the African-American community?
Next Civil rights march for illegals? last time I checked THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY and THEY DO NOT HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!! They are not people of the US!!
Someone tell Kennedy that everyone in this country is an immigrant or ancstor of one, so he actually was marching for Illegals!!
Did he not take an oath of office to uphold the Constitution of the US, and by supporting illegals is he not breaking that oath as with any other government offical!!
IMPEACH KENNEDY and OBAMA!!
Vote Hilary!!

What this shows is that Hillary is so confident that Latinos won’t vote for Obama (for whatever reason) that she feels comfortable taking on more conservative rhetoric.
And it is conservative because it turns Latinos into scapegoats and fuels the racism they experience every day. Yes, everyone recognizes that this issue is having a negative economic impact, but the question is whether we should blame the immigrants for this or blame the system and try to fix it. Obama has opted for the latter, while Hillary is unfortunately trending to the former.

Mike lets blame the banks for being rob also, cause maybe their security system was broken.
first the funny part here is the last poll taking showed 46% of latinos are for closing the border! (80% of overall Americans)
How is it racist to keep our sovereignty? and who said it was only hispanics here illegaly, the libs did so who is the true racist since the libs think all hispanics are illegal?
ICES should have agents sitting outside every polling place!!

I’d ask Senator Clinton why she mentioned that the worker she spoke to was African American. Had he been Italian would his ethnicity even been mentioned?
Sometimes the subtlety of playing the race card is all too apparent.

they are talking about illegals not undocumented immigrants, they are not hiding in the shadows they are marching in the streets with Ted Kennedy. We don’t need anymore laws, or anymore bills passed, we need to enforce the laws we have. This is OUR country and those who came here legally should not have their jobs stolen by someone who is willing to work for a wage that cannot put food on the table and a roof over their heads. If we can spend billions fighting a war in another country we can afford to protect our borders, our ports and our jobs.

Solving the illegal immigration issue is really quite simple. First we have to secure the border by building the fence that is now required by law. As for the 12-20 million illegal immigrants already in the United States, just enforce the laws that are already on the books. Continue to go after the employers who hire illegal immigrants. But instead of just having to pay fines these employers should receive jail time. Now as for the agriculture industry, there are millions of non-violent prisoners who should be sent out into the fields. They should receive the same pay that the illegal immigrants receive. Then when they have completed their sentence they will have a small nest egg to start over again. Finally, states should stop providing free education and welfare for illegal immigrants. Once the jobs, free education and welfare are no longer available, the illegal immigrants will voluntarily head back home.

“Bigger Than Limbaugh (in LA)?”
No, Jake, you’re wrong. Guess you didn’t read Giordano’s update: “The Washington Post has reported that he “beats Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh and Tom Joyner every weekday morning, according to Arbitron ratings.”
He has the top-rated morning radio show in America, and he’s heard in 17 markets.
