Bill: Hillary = RFK, Obama = Gene McCarthy

These historical analogies are getting out of hand.

In January, former president Bill Clinton said his wife is tougher than Nelson Mandela and Yitzhak Rabin.

Then Hillary tried to pivot from Obama’s MLK self-comparison to argue Obama = MLK, Hillary = LBJ.

Last week Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., implied that Hillary = Harry S Truman, Obama = John F. Kennedy.

Today, former president Bill Clinton implied that Hillary = RFK, Obama = Gene McCarthy.

"When I was the age of a lot of the young people in this audience, in 1968," Bill Clinton said in California earlier today, per ABC News’ Sarah Amos. "I supported Robert Kennedy for president. And a lot of people said, a lot of people on the other side, they say, ‘Oh, but the other guy was against the Vietnam war longer, and he’s better, and we like him better, he gives us a better feeling.’ And I said, ‘Robert Kennedy cares about people like the people I grew up with. He cares about people without regard to race. He cares about people nobody is fighting for.’"

And Barack Obama is Abraham Lincoln!

And Barack Obama is Sidney Poitier!

And every Republican is Ronald Reagan!!

Hillary = Romney.
They’ll each say whatever the polls tell them to say.

The Kennedy’s are all living off the legacy of their murdered father. Kennedy in all acctuality was not a good president. None of the surviving Kennedys are any good either.

Hillary = Jimmy Carter
Obama is the one.

You got the Hilary Romney Clinton comparison exactly right! They BOTH have zero principle!
And while it may be understandable that a female is more easily spooked, Romney’s lack of integrity for a male is most troubling. Neither are leadership material for a nation.

Clinton = The past
Obama = The FUTURE!

Willard Romney = Hillary Clinton.
MITT!
Is he a Blue State Liberal Republican who governed Massachusetts from his liberal convictions; or he is HARDCORE conservative Republican? Who is he now? Is he a liberal Masquerading as a conservative; or is he a conservative that said/did whatever it took to get elected as MA Governor?
Hillary
Is she a hardcore liberal that tried to mandate HillaryCare; or is she Hillary the HAWK that backed GWB to the hilt on the Bush doctrine for Iraq and Iran? It’s easy to bash GWB today when his poll numbers are low and people want change. Who is she now? What will she be next week, next month, next year?
Both tell you exactly what you want to hear.
VOTE HUCK for change.

I would like a candidate that tell people what he would do if elected and what he has done in the past. Also explain why he has changed on ideas if he has indeed changed some of his opinions now from what he use to think in the past. Nothing about the other guy just himself. All candidates should do this and than let the people deciede.

For those who believe the Obama change lie. What does he really mean. Obama giving illegal alliens drivers license is one lie. But the truth is the Federal goverment has nothing to do with issuing drivers license its the states who issue licenses. Another Obama lie told to latinos to get votes.

Obama voted against landmines.
Hillary voted FOR landmines.

Romney = Eddie Haskell

Commander Guy: Huckabee does not believe in evolution. That is on the record. In light of this, please explain how you could trust his judgment on even the most mundane matters requiring the review and assessment of information.

Oh, for heaven’s sake. Who in their right mind believes a word either Clinton says.

Is Bill saying that Hilliary’s dead???

Posted by: cba | February 4, 2008, 6:40 pm 6:40 pm

I’m so glad to see Bill is back! I’ve missed him, and grown ever more tired of his boring wife. Mr. Co-President has spent entirely too much of the last few years with Ron Burkle and Denise Rich, and not enough reminding us of his delusory narcissicm. On the campaign trail again, before they stuffed him in the basement a couple weeks ago, he was starting to show a delightful wacky streak. With luck, he’ll propel the Obama campaign to victory soon.

Bill Clinton = Jon Stewart wannabe
I mean, he was joking about all that stuff, right? Being ironic? Surely? Oh well.
Look. The important point is that years from now up-and-coming politicians may well be called “the new Obama”. If they’re called “the new Hillary Clinton”, it won’t be in a good way.

Let’s cut to the important comparisons:
Jake Tapper = Edward R. Murrow
:-)

ToDKNY on Huck and evolution:
Huck has big love 4 science.
He bears no grudges against your assorted scientific theories. As far as gravitational theory goes, he’s down with that, even though Scientists can’t fully explain how gravitational forces work way out in some parts of Outer Space. Experiments and studies on gravity are ongoing today. Big $ is still being spend still studying the gravity. And Yes he does believe in the Heavens and the Earth.
With the Theory of Evolution, he’s not gonna disbelieve it outright, he will make room to consider the possibility of a Designer in the process. There’s studies going on all the time about evolutionary biology. He’s not a scientist – but he’s kewl with science. He also has faith, don’t try to beat him down for having some faith.
He’s pretty clear on the topic…. ask Bill Maher.
As far as judgment goes, how can you DKNY trust MiTT! or Billary? They’ll look you in the eye and tell you what they think you want to hear.
Huck will tell you how it is. What say you?!!

Instead of saying:
“Romney = Eddie Haskell”
I should of said:
Romney > Eddie Haskell in the weaselness factor.
And:
Hiil = Bill in the Clintonian semantics factor.

Jack
You are clever to read in between lines of Clinton’s utterances.
But, however smart you are in masking your bias, it does come through in your postings. It is very hard to be unbiased in this interesting and passionate primary election.
But, thanks for trying.

So when Hillary gets assassinated the Democrats will then turn to Al Gore playing the role of Hubert Humphrey?

But who am I? Who am I?

Hillary’s Teary (second) moment was staged. How did the media miss this one? Same set up, intimate setting, close cameras, trigger question. “I said I would not cry.” Hillary was coached on this event and was trying to create the New Hampshire moment again but this time with less success. However the blind naive media bought into it again. Trying to depict Hillary has the sensitive type when in fact this was all staged for the media gullible. HOW blind is the media? And how gullible is America to fall for this “cheap soap act again.”

I hope democrats are satisfied with Obama. On thing that is historic fact. This country doesn’t elect liberal candidates. And you can’t get more liberal than Barak Obama. I hope we aren’t falling in the “John Kerry” trap yet again.

The reason the Libs say they are someone else is because they do not want you to know the true person they are!

I think the ‘strain’ of the campaign has gotten to Bill, too. He doesn’t tear up, he just starts babbling incoherant nonsense. Hillary = RFK? Whoa, that’s a giant leap. In fact it’s a chasm!!

Posted by: dream on | February 5, 2008, 9:53 am 9:53 am

Phillygirl, I applaud your comments! “Wild Bill” Clinton is clearly becoming more and more a liablility to his wife’s campaign with such outlandish interpretations of history!

Posted by: chuck | February 5, 2008, 10:06 am 10:06 am

Enough of these comparisons to the past.. although Obama started it by comparing himself to MLK and JFK. Not even close, bud.
Why don’t these candidates stand on their own merits, and stop with the lame comparisons to dead people.

Posted by: A reader in Georgia | February 5, 2008, 11:01 am 11:01 am

Clinton’s analogy is right on.
Obama is the far left “anti-war” candidate that doesn’t have a chance in the general election.

And Ronald Reagan is God, at least according to most Repubs!

No Chuck Reagan does not equal God.
Reagan = Superman.
Try reading the NRO sometime.
