Clinton Drops McCain’s Name, But Doesn’t Bite
ABC News’ Christine Byun Reports: While she boasts she can beat him in November, Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., stayed away from commenting on the charges of unethical behavior from Senator John McCain, R-Ariz., raised by an article in the New York Times.
"I want you to think who is best able to stand on the stage with Senator John McCain and make the case to elect a Democrat in the fall," Clinton said while laying out her case at a morning rally in Laredo, TX.
She instead saved the criticism for Democratic rival, Senator Barack Obama, D-Ill. Clinton continued questioning his experience, claiming she was best equipped to deal with economic issues and healthcare. As a former First Lady, she said she understands the pressures of the office.
"I watched my husband. I know how hard this job is. We need to have someone who is prepared with solutions for our problems, not just speeches," Clinton said.
Clinton – who arrived to the event late – gushed about how much she and President Clinton loved Laredo, touting their history with the Lone Star state.
"We’re putting together a winning team in Texas to go to the White House," Clinton said, before encouraging supporters to vote early.

So HRC has a new slogan now. About the 57th one I’d guess.
Guess what she’s really saying is that the voters should choose SLOGANs over Speaches.
And while she’s at it why doesn’t she just make a Pledge that she won’t make any decision as president without asking for Bill42′s permission first. That ought bring the Dems around.

I have ONE question for Cindy Mc Cain; are you proud of your country TODAY? LOL. No really, the fact that this man may or may not have had an affair IS NOT THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE is if HE DID FAVORS FOR LOBBYIST’S. The answer is “my friends” you will find out in the days to come the answer is “YES”. The fact that he is the “conservative nommiee” is a big joke. Happy hunting guys.

For all the continuing talk about Senator Obama’s alleged lack of experience, I think a larger point goes missed.
Have Senators Clinton and (especially) McCain “been around” Washington longer than Obama? Yes. Does that necessarily make them wiser, smarter or particularly any more “accomplished” than Obama, or magically confer upon them any sort of greater ability? No, and no.
In fact, I’ve been having a tremendously difficult time getting any of my Clinton- and McCain-supporting friends to tell me much of *anything* their chosen candidates have accomplished in their political careers! (That said, please keep in mind that, heroic though it was, Senator McCain’s survival of the horrors of the Hanoi Hilton for certain make him for a strong individual, but not necessarily a gifted or wise leader….)

Employment Laws
Health and Safety Legislation:
Workers Compensation laws represent a compromise between the employer and employees interests. The employee gives up the right to sue, and the employer in exchange for high probability or recovering without the cost of a lawsuit. The employee gives the right to use
negligent defenses in exchange for limited payments to the employee. Punitive damages and emotional damages such as pain and suffering cannot be received. The statutes require employer to furnish employee with medical treatment and a fixed level of income during disability. Scheduled amounts are awarded for death or loss of limb including rehabilitation services, Disability income payments will be low although statutes state a rate of two thirds of wages. The payments are employer contributions funded to a state compensation fund through insurances by employers. Workers compensation is administered by a state agency. There are no federal laws for injury compensation however railroad and mining are covered by such federal legislation. Congress has prepared mandatory federal standards to workers compensation statutes because of differences in coverage benefits.
OSHA
Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 applies to businesses in interstate commerce and it protects the safety and health of employees through duties imposed on the employer through employment by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The act imposes a general duty on covered employers to prevent workplace hazards that may cause death or serious physical harm. Employers are required to report on-the-job facilities and injuries that require hospitalization to the Secretary of Labor within 48 hours. Employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep a log of all work related deaths, injuries or illnesses. The act delegates to the Secretary of Labor authority to establish a detailed health and safety standards compiled by employers. Under the authority the Secretary has set maximum levels of exposure for certain hazardous substances such as asbestos or lead. Regulations require that manufacturing workers be informed of hazardous chemicals in the workplace. Regulations protect workers from retaliation if they refuse to do work that they reasonably believe might cause their deaths or serious injury and if they reasonably believe no drastic alternative is available. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is a division of the Department of Labor enforces the act. OSHA inspectors may enter the workplace at any reasonable time and without advance notices. If a employer objects to the inspection a search warrant must be obtained. Inspectors usually check workplaces after fatalities have occurred often in response to complaints of workers and occasionally on a just basis. Violations of the act result in citations, fines and even criminally penalties for willing violations that result in death. The statute permits states to develop and enforce their own health and safety programs.

The First Woman President Should Handle our Federal Reserve To Balance Our International Monetary Contributions!
International Politics #160

Money and Business
The most important currencies are the US Dollar, the Euro and the Japanese Yen. Money is a token or object that works as a medium of exchange and it is socially or legally accepted in payment of goods and services for settling debt. Money includes both currencies circulating with legal tender. Commodity money has an ability to function as a store of value is limited in the states by its legal nature. Gold and silver are soft metals that can lose weight in scratches and abrasions .Gold and silver were once used as world currencies but now currencies are valued against each other through exchange rates. States maintain reserves of hard currency and gold. The reserves back a national currency and the money is the essential study to economics and forms a link to finance in various forms of financial deposit accounts such as demand deposits, savings accounts and certificates of deposits. This is a formal discipline that industrial states turn over to monetary policy and autonomous central banks like the US Federal Reserve.
In capitalist economies most business are privately owned and are formed to earn profit. Multinational Corporations (MNCs) do business in more than one state and states depend on MNC to create new business and wealth, as MNC depends on states to maintain international stability doing business globally.
A Multinational Corporation or sometimes referd to as a transnational corporation (MNC/TNC) is a corporation or enterprise that manages production establishments and has delivering services in at least two countries. Very large multinationals have budgets that exceed those of many countries. Multinational corporations can have a powerful influence in international relations and local economies. Multinational corporations play an important role in globalization were a new form of MNC is evolving responsively to globalization.
I have a chance to watch the combination of money, business and banking work on my Student Visa /Debit cards. I have a checking account and savings account at National City, a checking account at J.P. Morgan/Chase, a checking account at Comerica and a checking account at 5/3 Bank and a B.P. Credit/Gas Card [Beyond Petroleum] . This is because I hope to become a student abroad in a university such as Mexico or Germany to study Political Science, Biology, Geology or Astronomy.

The college crowd will figure things out in 2009 when they are not able to find a job. They are choosing speeches over real solutions to our problems.
If they think that the problems we will face as a nation will disappear because of a “feel good” speech, they are in for a rude awakening.
I know the liberal wing is trying to hijack the Democratic party just like the right wing has hijacked the Republican party. The problem is, it never works in the general election. The young people may not be old enough to know this. Their parents ought to know.
God help us all.

Nafta: Okay idiots, Canada, is the number one supplier of oil and I believe second in your gas suppliers right now. How does five hundred billion being spend right here in my hometown, Fort McMurray, Alberta on the second largest oil reserve on earth after Saudi Arabia? Many of you are using our oil to run your vehicles even as I write. Check it out for yourselves which AMERICAN companies now own our resources. If it were up to us we’d rather sell to China. If you live on the eastern seaboard of the United States you are probably using Canadian hydro power to light your homes and use your computer right now. Recall the brown out down the eastern seaboard? One hydro line in Quebec, Canada burned out from a sun spot. Under NAFTA and only because of NAFTA your country is building pipelines down through my province to provide you folks with oil and gas from Alaska. Trust me, without that NAFTA agreement no one up here would ever agree to something like that being built on our lands, especially not for our use. Nowadays, your country, under NAFTA again, is starting to fight us in our courts to get our fresh water supply for your western state. Under NAFTA there is a one billion a day trade going BOTH ways across the border even as I write. Right here in my hometown, Fort McMurray, Alberta, there are THOUSANDS of Americans working here in the oil sands. THOUSANDS! Furthermore, ask the border states how much money CANADIANS spend every day buying American goods and service. Don’t believe me, check it out for yourself. Under NAFTA, we spend millions a day on the internet buying from America. Myself and my wife have spend thousands ourselves. Heck I could go on and on and on. But you have no idea what NAFTA is at all, do you? One more point, our wages are higher than yours, our taxes are higher than yours mostly because of health care that I gladly pay, our dollar is the same as yours, and we still have to compete with you in the world. And by God, we do, despite your NAFTA edge!

I wonder if they’re still in the red now, despite claims (which I question, and apparently some reporters do as well) of raising $15 million over the website since Super Tuesday.

Now what exactly was Mr. McCain’s involvement w/the famous Keating 5 savings & loan scandal that cost tax payers 3.4 BILLION DOLLARS! Hillary why won’t she give up her financial tax info like Obama?? why won’t she also release correspondence/documents between her & her hubby Billy when he was in the white house until 2012?? you would think if all this experience is what she’s selling then why not? A few more comments from a Canadian. Vote for Obama. That’s wonderful for us because we know up here you have to then get your oil and gas somewhere. And trust me on this because energy is what we do and what we know, there are gonna be a whole lot of ###### off Arabs when you guys dump the Iraq mess on the Arab states after you all cut and run. It ain’t gonna be an Obama peace and love moment over there, believe me. Its not gonna go away anytime soon. Now, Chevez, another one of your energy suppliers has already thrown his support with Iran, and if you think gas prices are bad now, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Man, are you guys gonna make us all rich up here. I love it.

Madison, I do not want to get involved in your domestic politics, however, Micheal Moore had no difficult getting involved in our and I think rightly so as we are your neighbor and neighbors are indeed affected by the fellow next door. Someone once stated up here that if everyone, you and us, are not happy with NAFTA then something must be just about right. I don’t know about that. But you did raise an issue which I am not qualified to comment on as this is your domestic election and I have no place telling an American what I think even if I have an opinion. My only thing is energy and NAFTA and the God awful mess that’s gonna be left behind. BTW, Canada does support your war on terror and up to this point seventy of our military have died to prove my point in Afghanistan.

Who is getting rich giving Hillary all this great advice?
Hillary grows up in a privileged (rich) family and dares to tell us that hope is empty. I, like hundreds of millions of Americans before me and hundreds of millions of Americans after me, grew up in poverty, and with hope and hard work, achieved a better life for myself and my children. Obama shares my life experiences and he speaks with truth and judgment and when he inspires hope and hard work, we all listen.
Hillary and her rich daddy and McCain and his heiress wife should really just shut up. America is sick of hearing them kill hope.

Please put NAFTA into perspective. Bill Clinton had a totally Republican congress. They passed Nafta and Barak lauded that passage many times. He needs to stop lying. I am so sick of his holier than all routine…look up…he lied on national tv during the last debate about his association with Rezko and today..yes today admitted they have been friends for 17 years. In fact-they both went to Obamas new mansion to look it over and discuss how Obama could realize 800,000 in real estate benefits for that house. READ the CHICAGO TRIBUNE TODAY>>You folks are canonizing a thief and liar. Get real He does not care about you. You heard Michele Obama. Please look at his record of running in the Illinois legislature 140 passes. Why? No votes..no footprints. He abandoned the poor Maytag factory workers as well as the airline workers and refused to stand up for the Jenna 5.

Move massive people is always disaster for a nation.
in late 1960 China, chiarman Mao use his speech move millions young “red guard” for change. it destoryed china’s 5000 year history, it destoryed the whole economy, it killed more than 10 million people. No one understand why all the people gone crazy. But Mao acted as messiah!
History always repeat. this time, looks like American is still undeveloped land, where is “hopeless” “washington is evil” ” I am new, so I clean” “I an new, so I am change”
the compain start as messiah, not start as how to manage the country. Start by againest country, call for change, every fault is “bush’s fault” all fault is “washington’s fault”, only Obama will save American.
He claim as uniter and change at same time, How? How you unit all the “old forks” and “change” them at same time?
It is no one’s fault for war or economy, don’t blame. let us face and correct them. at same time, no matter what happened, every American should be proud of be american.
If Luck is still on American’s side, we can avoid this “obama”, othrewise, time is running out. Looks like American will have ” red culture revolution”

we should avoid this kind “obama” hype at any cost.

I think that she has good experience with the whole healt care thing because she learned what obstacles to overcome for the next time.

Who has the experience we need?
Obama paints Hillary with the “status quo” brush and everyone is happy to be on board his train fueled not by his powerful original rhetoric but the words that inspired a generation before him to take action that made it possible for him to run for President. Hillary has already been where Obama is. She has already been inspired to action and she has already taken brave decisive action and faced the consequences of those actions. Obama has yet to stand on new ground, to leave his footprints on any new battle ground, to suffer any wounds and recover and fight again. That is the insult so many feel when we hear those words spoken by a “wanna be warrior”.
Hillary has always been proud of her country and has taken on issues when they weren’t popular. It was Hillary, not Obama that as a lone woman Washington outsider marched into the halls of Congress and began the talks with both sides of the aisle about health care. She has taken the blame for the failure of a Republican Congress to begin to see the need for all Americans to have the same health care the Congress. She made a difference for all Americans. What many paint as a failure, made it possible for Obama to talk about universal health care. It is easy for Obama to be the Monday morning quarterback, he wasn’t there. Obama has done those “usual inspiring things” that many citizens of my generation see ordinary citizens doing everyday. It was Hillary who went to China, as First Lady and spoke out for the rights of ALL women and demanded in China that women’s rights are human rights. Hillary is powerful and will take us to new frontiers that Obama has yet to glimpse, because she has already been where he is now. In fact he is the “status quo”. Hillary is the visionary, the fearless powerful leader and who will lead this country and the world to a better place.
