This is terrific news for Senator McCain and for the Republican Party.If the GOP hopes to retain the White House, Republicans need to unify in support of Senator McCain.Governor Romney understands that Senator McCain is a social and fiscal conservative who would be a much better President than Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.John McCain recognizes that the U.S. needs to win the war against terrorism and that Iraq and Afghanistan are major fronts in that war.

McCain is really going to need someone strong at his right hand. This campaign is going to wear on him and he will need to lean heavily on the VP nominee. Somehow I doubt Romney would stoop low enough to be the attack dog the VP selection traditionally is. I believe Dick Cheney is out of the question.

I am dissapointed in reading some of these comments. Mitt Romney care about the republican party. He recognizes how important it is to unite it. He shows his loyalty and faith in the party by endorsing McCain. I am definitely not a John McCain supporter, but as a republican, I recognize that Mitt Romney is doing what he feels is right. He graciously bowed out of the race when he felt it was right, and now he’s taking action to unify the party that he believes in. Shame on you people that don’t understand this.

“Mitt” is a class act? Maybe a class Neocon act. A draft dodger who, like Bush and his sons, think the way to fight America`s wars is to work on political campaigns rather than serve in the military. Now I guess ugly and uglier, Rush and Coulter (your choice) will try to hop on the McCain bandwagon.

Mitt Romney is a class act. Hopefully we haven’t seen the end of this great guy.
Maybe McCain will pick MItt as his VP. Mitt could put into play “blue” states like Massachusetts, Michigan, and Minneasota. All states Mitt won in the primary.
Our corrupt MSM wolfpack press gave Mitt the “flip flopper” label not anyone else.
And it’s interesting to hear folks beat Mitt over the head with the flip flopper charge when they voted for the “mother of all flip floppers” in 2004 when they voted for John Kerry.
Where am I wrong? ……………………………GO MITT !

Why should Mitt be able to “give” his delegates to McAmnesty? He dropped out of the race, he should have no say so. If those votes go to anyone else, the VOTERS who cast a ballot for Romney to begin with should be the ones to decide. Frankly, I wish that they’d all go to the “Constitutionalist” candidate, Ron Paul. Even though the media has ignored him lately, his supporters haven’t.
