Chelsea’s Choice: Will Mom or Dad Be a Better President?

ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: It was Chelsea’s choice: who would be the better president, her father or mother?

"His question is, ‘Do I think my mother will be a better president than my father," the former and aspiring first daughter said during an event at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Penn.

Then came her choice.

"Well, again, I don’t take anything for granted, but hopefully with Pennsylvania’s help, she will be our next president, and yes, I do think she’ll be a better president," Ms. Clinton said.

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

Asked about the exchange at a press availability in Hammond, Indiana, Senator Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., seemed surprised and smiled as she replied, "I have to talk to her before I answer that question."

No word yet on from former President Bill Clinton, who is campaigning for his wife in North Carolina, though he frequently tells crowds that his wife is and will be his better half including in a potential role as the second Clinton in the White House.

ABC News’ Z. Byron Wolf contributed to this report.

I have no doubt that a Hillary Clinton tenure will outperform a Bill Clinton presidency. Hillary will not be distracted by the third brain, as Bill was.

Well, if Chelsea reads some of our blogs, she will understand that we agree with whatever she says. Not only was her father a very intelligent and successful President, her mother shares some of the credit. On her own, her mother has a high degree of intelligence combined with a passion for her causes she believes in, and an unending perseverance and hard work. I do not believe there is an equal in those qualities since Eleanor Roosevelt. America will lose a great opportunity if Hillary is not our candidate.
This election is about change, all right, but change from what? We all know that–George Bush! We need someone with knowledge and experience and the work ethic to know how to fight for change. It should mean more than a buzzword.

We the American people don’t need any more nepotismin in the White House.
We don’t need Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton or Chelsea Clinton in White House.

At nearly 40 years of age, I’ve yet to experience a single moment in my entire adult life where a Clinton or a Bush did not occupy the White House. Whether it be intentional or not, it is oligarchy, plain and simple. The idea that in a country of 300 million that the best we have to offer are a few people that are related is perposterous. The prospect of having another Clinton in the White House means I may be close to 50 years old before seeing a name change in the White House. This is not democracy.

Curly wished that the question had been, “Chelsea would you like to run for President some day like both your mother and father have?” But when Curly told me that I slapped him on the head several times. Larry then asked me, “what’s wrong with a father and a mother and a daughter running for President?”. I then slapped Larry on the head several times and told him, “it has something to do with the name Clinton.”

Who are you again and why would ANYONE care about what you think Chelsea? …but we did find out that you are also desperate for power and will say anything just like ole dad and mom. MOMMY LOST now GO GET A JOB!!

Posted by: cheesetoppings96 | March 28, 2008, 6:08 pm 6:08 pm

Hillary supporters of all sorts tried to paint a positive picture of one of the most negative and polarizing person in American Politics, with no avail…all the polls say so.
Now Chelsea is trying. I don’t think she can supress the TURTH of NEGATIVITY about her mom…. on the other hand I can’t blame a child from supporting her mom however negative her mom may be.
..but its sounds more like Clintons’ ME, ME, I, MY DAD, MY MOM, ONLY CLINTONS, HELL with the rest of the pepole of the World.

It’s a moot point of who would be the better president. However, Bill was not divisive and vicious toward a fellow Democrat during his 1992 campaign, unlike Hillary.
As an independent progressive, let’s hope that we will not get the opportunity to compare which Clinton is the better president.

Posted by: Chicago Andrew | March 28, 2008, 6:14 pm 6:14 pm

These G.D. Clintons will do anything to get back into the White House. If given the chance, they would kill your mother if they knew it could get them back in the White House.

I kind of like that Hillary is vicious. I think she would protect this country just fine ,thank you very much. I think she is one to fear and I think she is very results oriented. no way we would get hit by a terrorist strke with her in office and I think she would work tenaciously to get this debt off our backs and restart our economy. I do think she is an absolutely fearsome opponent, and since it is the office of the presidency of our country, someone who is very very tough woudl be a good thing to have that person on our side. I think she’s my favorite right now.

I can’t believe the CNN bias towards Obama. It is really interesting that both WSJ and CNN are taking shots at Hillary. CNN wants the liberal candidate – Obama, WSJ obviously has become a mouthpiece for the republicans since it was purchased by Murdoch. What this country really needs is a true crossover candidate. They both want her down because she is THAT candidate. All the calls for Hillary to step down need to be directed at Obama. He is the one with no experience and based on seniority he is the one who needs to quit if he can’t win the big states. Obama is a dangerous egomaniac and all he is doing is splitting the party by not seating Florida and Michigan. Obama wants to win at all costs. It is plainly obvious. If America wants a black candidate, it needs one who is not brought up with and does not embrace the Black Power movement which targets the extinction of the white race. Obama is not that candidate.

Finally someone agrees with me that means people are finally coming to conclusion OBAMA is a fraud. He has two faces. One for the whites and one for the Blacks. When he goes to the Blacks he trashes whites which of course people will never know. When he goes to the White folks he talks about so called ‘unity’. He has been planning this scam for many years. That’s why he joined that church. He is a Moslem in Christian disguise and his buddy ‘Oprah’. These idiots think Oprah and Obama is their god. If Fox news never revealed this it won’t be a news at all because media loves him. Obama-Osama can’t do anything wrong. Just bash Hillay and Bill. Bill has been called by media ‘racist’. What Bill did for these Blacks Obama can’t even imagine doing in his life time. Just look at Obama he took advantage of affirmative to go to college then he and his people turn around how ‘racist’ America is. This is a great cournty that’s why he dares to run for president. Other wise, tell me who is Obama? son of a Kenyan Moslem, a guy from the street of Chicago. He has no credential to be president. All that talk don’t take people anywhere. His wife and he has no allegiance to this country. What sacrifice has he made for this country? None. He doesn’t respect the flag and his wife badmouth America? You want to vote for this guy? Wait till he raises taxes and he can’t get out of war that’s what Nancy Pelosi said too. Putting this imposter, two-faced carsalesman Obama would be a danger to the country. he He lies on people’s face and people are falling for it. If people have intelligence they will stop listening to him. For years he sat in that church listened to those sermons by his pastor now he is preaching ‘unity’? He thinks exactly like his pastor all these talk about BS is nothing but BS.

Posted by: kerry | March 28, 2008, 6:41 pm 6:41 pm

Perhaps Obama is in love with his Pastor Wright. Pastor Wright must have something on Obama because Obama has not disown Pastor Wright. If Obama wants change in America than he ought to start with Obama and disown Pastor Wright, lead by example. Obama wants to change one thing for another not changing church.

Posted by: S.R | March 28, 2008, 6:45 pm 6:45 pm

i think it’s sad when the media and now howard dean and senator leahy suggest that hillary clinton drop out of the race. i think the media has way too much influence on the voters. for hillary clinton to drop out would be unfair to all the other states that have not cast their vote for their choice of candidate. is this how the democrats are going to run the country if they win, start something then stop in the middle of it. i think everyones voice should be heard.

Posted by: owlbt60 | March 28, 2008, 6:46 pm 6:46 pm

Hillary is not as good of a liar as Bill. She fell right on it with that Bosnia Mishap. Misspoke My ***! ANd Chelsea is indicating how disappointed she is with her father. She is Just Angry. I don’t blame her but you can see the rift in the family now.

Posted by: spoon2456 | March 28, 2008, 6:48 pm 6:48 pm

Why didn’t Obama leave the church when Reverand Wright glorified Louis Farrakahn? Why doesn’t he leave the church now when the new pastor calls criticism of Wright a “lynching”. Obama is nothing but inflated rhetoric. Hillary should stay on and fight and perhaps the stupid electorate that elected George Bush twice will wake up and support Hillary.

Posted by: Kerry | March 28, 2008, 6:48 pm 6:48 pm

I’m sick of the IDIOTS claiming Obama is a bigot because of a few selective clips. And then to be completely unable to hear his speech on racism explaining that yes some oppressed people ar angry and there is nothing wrong with being able to hear that.
2 family rule is unamerican.

Posted by: Kevin C | March 28, 2008, 6:48 pm 6:48 pm

I tend to be conservative, I feel the Pastor was just as wrong as Ms. Pelozi was wrong. Obama should of asked his “pastor” to apologize and then drop the subject. I feel he is prolonging his own agony by dragging the story on, and on, and on, etc.

Ok people Chelsea Clinton is a respectable young woman who deserves not to be bashed like her parents. She is not a candidate or the presidency and she has done nothing but supported her parents. People, make your choice on qualification and stop bashing people who really don’t deserve it, grow up. I can tell you right now I CARE about her opinion. I AM FOR OBAMA! I believe that people should be above bashing others particularly people who work as hard as Chelsea Clinton. That is why I am voting Obama so that this kind of childish bashing might stop!

How she handles that compared to how she handles the country?? Lets see…. She accepts her husband cheats on her and does nothing..

Barrack Obama is looking more like a chameleon every time he opens his mouth. Attends a church over 20 years whose pastor regulary delivers “hate” sermons about other races and our country – this info surfaces during his campaign, and suddenly, he is offended? What about the other 20 years.
The man also lies. He tried to cover his tracks regarding his white grandmother and completely revised a new version of what he had just said a few days before from “she is afraid of some blacks she passes on the street” to “she is afraid of people (any race?) she doesn’t know”!
This is pitiful!

Posted by: TED | March 28, 2008, 6:53 pm 6:53 pm

You must be kidding. Senator Obama is the master of I”I would have”. “I would have voted against the war.” I would have spoken out ,voted ,talked to ,been present for,—all the while avoiding like the plague any stance for which he might be responsible. Check his voting record–mostly “present” and /or along party lines. When a stand or solo action on principle is needed . This Senator knows how to avoid accountability.

The Pastor and his comments aren’t an issue with me in the least. I’m far more concerned that I may end up spending my entire life with a Clinton or a Bush in the White House. I will not vote for her under any circumstances. I don’t believe in political dynasty I don’t believe in the war she’s help steward. If she gets the nomination, I’ll never vote for a Democrat again.

Who needs Chelsea’s opinion? Her father was a great president. Her mother has a high per cetage of people who will never vote for her. She claims a lot of experience that doesn’t really exist. We need a change from the Bush/Clinton years. Maybe Chelsea can go back to her own job.

Posted by: C Bunnell | March 28, 2008, 6:58 pm 6:58 pm

Chelsea sat there and nodded her head in agreement while her mother was lying about Bosnia. Maybe the Clintons are just so used to lying they can’t tell the difference anymore. Chelsea in politics would just be joining a long line or liers.

Hillary says anything you want to hear. What the Clinton’s did to the party in 1994 & 2000: Lost Senate, Lost House, Lost 19 Governorships & then hung Gore out to dry is still fresh. All she can do now is help McCain. The Clinton’s know it. Then after she helps Obama lose she will say ‘But I didn’t do it’!
NO Hillary we will remember. Get your lying butt over to FOX where you belong. Those delusions of grandeur (Dublin Bosina) were enough. GET OUT FOR THE SAKE OF THE PARTY. You will not be welcome in the Senate & we will remember how YOU gave Bush his third term in 2012 when you fail again.

Tony, look at our history. Have you forgotten the Adams? Did you know that Barbara Bush is a relative of Pierce? Even the latest genealogy, if it is correct, shows Obama being related to past presidents. You are still a young person, and everything is relative–no pun intended. We are all in this great big melting pot. Otherwise, we could go back to England and watch the monarchy pass from one generation to the next, or some other country and watch a few more wars to claim another country’s people. At 40 years of age, you are just beginning to flower. You are in your prime, and good things are bound to come your way, if you let them. Like electing the first woman President of the United States of America! Who knows what this country has to offer for Chelsea’s future and yours.
It would be wonderful if some of you bloggers did not have to crucify a young woman to make a point. You talk about unity and hope and coming together? What is a democracy? The people choose, you say?

Posted by: georgia | March 28, 2008, 7:14 pm 7:14 pm

Bottom line though: her mom will never ever be a President of the USA.

According to some Electoral surveys there is no way Obama beats McCain. Hillary and McCain are neck and neck. If you that claim your all about a Democrat in the White House will look at the numbers you will support seating Michigan and Florida as they stand and throw your support to the Senator that can be President. And like a wise young woman says: Hillary will be a better President than Bill was, and Bill was awesome.

But that being said I think we need to raise the bar and that is why Obama is so refreshing – to listen to Hillary is like listening to some scratch a blackboard. This is a big loss for this country. With no real choice left against McCain this country will again be ruled by a Republican. Even though I am a democrat, I will be happy to have McCain as I will have to pay less tax.

Obama’s folks are trying to get Hillary out of the race because a lot more dirt is coming out on his Preacher/Mentor and others. They do not want their precious, Almighty Obamas’ image hurt. Hillary is not hurting Obama, Obama’s past is his own doing. He needs to be held accountable for his past. Obama thinks he can bully his way to winning like he did in his two Senate races. He is a corrupt politician that should not be anywhere near the Whitehouse. Obama should withdraw—he does not have the qualifications, judgment and character to be President. Hillary is the only one that can get this country back on its’ feet! Democrats rise up against Peloski, Dean, and all the Obama supporters who are calling for Hillary to withdraw! We need to walk away from the Party if they force the Super Delegates to commit prior to the convention! We need to do everything we can to get Obama out before he destroys the Party and our country!

I will vote for little Chelsea when she grows up, but her mom Ms. Hillary Clinton? She makes up stories to beef up her so-called experience and right thinking Americans don’t want a sleep deprived president answering that 3.00 am phone call.
We have had enough of her Bosnia sniper attack, lies about her support for NAFTA, lies about her championing children’s health insurance that passed both house and senate even before Bill Clinton became president.
ENOUGH OF Ms. HILLARY CLINTON AND HER STORIES. She can stay in the race, but here in Pennsylvania, she will be told in no uncertain terms that the race for the presidency is over for her. We can only pray that she still continues to be in the senate, but that’s up to New Yorkers.

Come on, let’s get to some real freakin’ issues or something. Now we’ve got “little Chelsea” coming out. Why doesn’t Obama send his two kids out to say that he’d be a better President than Clinton. It would have the same relevance as whatever Chelsea thinks. Can we please get the candidates’ families out of the picture and have the two candidates actually say some real things. Perhaps it would be useful for both campaigns to get back on track and actually start running for President again.

What venom and hate spewing from the mouths of those who are preaching for the election of a utiter with hope and peace, bringing us all together! I could not help but notice the protrayal of Chelsea as a fine young woman bringing an air of freshness to this campaign. A refreshing change from the hate and vitriol of O’s mentor and wife. Realizing that a candidate’s family is not running for the Presidency, they do seem to be fair game for you starry-eyed O fans. Where has his wife been lately? From what I have heard her say, there is an edge and a hardness to her delivery. I suspect that 20 years of listening to messages of hate and vitriol would warp you that way. Realizing that this country has a long way to go to achieve equality, if that is ever achievable, I do not understand how others are always to blame for any criticism. People who have had opportunities, which many poor or disadvantaged have not, should be singing the praises of the country that has tried to make amends in education, job training, and equal opportunities. Now, what are we going to do about the dreadful treatment of Native Americans, the people in my section of the Melting Pot?

She is not destroying the party, the party has plenty of issues that have nothing to do with Clinton, like disinfranchising millions of voters, fraudulent caucus practises, to name a few.
Now we have more hatred coming from Rev.Wright that of course Obama knows nothing about…..and top that with the Obama campaign inserting spies into the Clinton campaign, how can you trust this man…
Hillary needs to fight till then end..she will prevail because people will start to see the bag of lies the media and the Obama campaign has fed them and he will lose. Of course, then the Obama supporters can really hate Hillary more since they can never seem to discuss the issues of the race, preferring to hate, just like the Rev.

I think Hillary, the next President of the United States, will be better than Bill Clinton was, and will DEFINITELY be better than the liar Obama. Hillary has her “ducks in a row”, exerts leadership, but also has the passion of the American people. Just now, I was hearing on FOX how many votgers are turning their backs on Obama because of the lies he wants us to b elieve. He is finished, it is time for him to step out of the race. And, since the Florida and Michigan delegates will be seated, this is law according to Howard Dean, they will endorse Hillary and it will be all over for Nobama. He just needs to drop out now, let Hillary prepare to overcome the GOP and win the election. Hillary, the next President of the United States…..going to be a wonderful 8 years!

For those of you who thought Obama gave a great speech on race, please tell me where you’re coming from.(Mars?) I’m not letting this go and worrying about the economy, war, or anything else. When someone offends me, they offend me. And when they dont apologize, it makes things even worse. I don’t need Obama apologizing for his friend, I want his friend(pastor) to apologize. How can Obama call this man his spiritual advisor and claim him he’s his friend? Or telling everyone that his preacher was taken out of context by the things he said. Please. People with any common sense will not vote for Obama because of the friends he keeps!
Lets hear again from his pastor and the future sermons from his churchs new pastor. I don’t think there’s no end to this. It”s Obamas religous friends that keep stirring up this story. And I bet they don”t stop. I will never put this behind me until Obama disowns his preacher(friend) and goes to a real church.

Jim: Bill Clinton’s job approval rating was over 60% when he left office in 2001, that how good his 8 years were for America. And actually, right now that’s probably an approval rating greater than that of George Bush and the Congress of Pelosi and Kerry and Kennedy combined. Hillary 08!!

Obama is still expecting the public to believe that a ” … Presidential candidate” did not observe any of this outrageous behavior over a 20 year period … and that he had no idea about what was on those DVD’s being sold by his church … if he cannot totally disavow all justification for Rev Wright’s language and intent then Obama isn’t courageous enough to lead America in a new direction as president.

Folks, don’t kid yourselves. Obama will be nominated on the first or second ballot. The super delegates aren’t going to go against the overall popular vote. Oh, yeah…everyone in the news media are calling for her to step down, except for maybe cueball James Carville.

Frankly I am sick and tired of hearing about Obama’s pastor. Is he running for President ? No. Is he retired ? Yes. Leave the matter alone and keep us informed of what matters to the majority of voters, like : the war, the economy, health care, etc … Please !

Posted by: Kerry | March 28, 2008, 9:06 pm 9:06 pm

Why didn’t Obama leave the church when Reverand Wright glorified Louis Farrakahn? Why doesn’t he leave the church now when the new pastor calls criticism of Wright a “lynching”. Obama is nothing but inflated rhetoric. Hillary should stay on and fight and perhaps the stupid electorate that elected George Bush twice will wake up and support Hillary.

Posted by: Kerry | March 28, 2008, 9:06 pm 9:06 pm

Most of us are not buying Obama’s story. He seems like a ‘typical lying politician’ rather than the ‘new modern choice’ he fashins himself to be.

I have a slogan for the Republicans if Obama wins the nominee:
“It’s the Patriotism, Stupid!” Obama supporters, I am sorry….but Obama can’t win the general. Someone said it in an earlier post….HRC supporters WILL vote McCain. The DNC is crazy if they think that they can play nice and unite HRC supporters into Obama supporters. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. They may not believe us now, but they will in November.

I don’t think the Wright issue will leave Obama. On “The View” today, Obama said that Wright has apologized, but it can’t be proven, no one but Obama heard this. Just like when he lied about hearing Wright’s Anti=American rhetoric in his famous “Race Speech”, people aren’t believing him. Remember, Obama called for Don Imus’ resignation for the comment he made, but, with his double-standard point of view, he thinks its ok to support a pastor that is anti american, a racist, bigot and liar. Also, for those of you that keep saying that its over for Hillary, if you remember right, the media said it was over for Bill Clinton, but yet he was our President for 8 years. I think Obama may win the popular vote, but now, as it stands, with what Newt Gingrich said tonite, its law that the delegates from Fl and Mi be seated at the Convention and their votes counted. If you remember, Obama opposed anything to do with Mi and Fl, you can bet, as Gingrich said, that these delegates will go to Hillary and she will win the nomination. It’s just the facts. It would be best for Obama to bow out now. Its not Hillary causing the divide, its Obama.

I’ve always felt that as good as Bill was as president, Hillary would be better. Bill was a very good president — Hillary can be one of the greats. She was one of the first women to get into Yale Law School. She has been breaking through barriers all her life and in training for this moment. Is she perfect? No. But having followed her life closely for the past 30 years, I have no doubt she would perform the duties of president superbly. She’s kind of the anti-Bush — she’s smart, competent and learns from experience. After 8 years of Bush, we can’t afford anything less.

I just love James Carville! In a world of tabloid journalism, hate and vitriol, he is a refreshing beam of light, even when he talks about Judas. He certainly read my thoughts. When Richardson was interviewed before the Ohio and Texas primaries, he was already saying that the superdelegates would have to step in to save the Party. What? Save the Party from what? Ourselves? The voters who still should have a voice in the process? I thought at the time that he must be planning to endorse Obama. He had to look noncommittal at the time, but, I knew what he was going to do. He waited until after the shock of the next primaries to endorse Obama. James Carville caught him in being two-faced about his endorsement. Outright lies. I bet at the time that O must have offered him the VP spot. Spanish speaker to get the hispanic votes away from Hillary. Wow! What a visionary Obama is. James Carville caught him in his lies. Carville can be a diplomat, he certainly has a great mind, and he has great wit. But, his greatest quality is his honesty. It does not get any better than that!

Interesting tony, you admit the other post was racist and then claim it’s somehow “racist” to call them on it. I doubt that I am any less black than you. And I have seen that technique used time after time by the Clinton’s in this election and by their usually WHITE supporters.

Do you actually think the way to effectively support your “uniter” candidate is to label everyone that doesn’t support him a racist? That’s not unity, that’s divisive and obtuse. It’s also ironic, considering that your candidate, his wife, and some of his surrogates seem to embrace racism, along with anti-Americanism.

I admire in a candidate running for president. We need more than change. We need solutions for American. We need to strengthen the middle class, providing affordable and accessible health care, improving our schools, support parents and caring for children, a champion for women, end the war in Iraq, fulfilling our promise to veterans energy independent and global warming, and restoring American’s standing in the world.
Not God damn America…God Bless America!

Tony, It doesn’t matter what we say, or how much more reasoned our arguments are, they’re angry because the “uniter” isn’t going to win the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana primaries. Hillary will likely win the popular vote and the supers will give her the nod. Hate is their last word–that’s all they have left.

Unless she starts answering questions and being held accountable for what she says then IT’S WRONG TO GIVE THIS MORON FREE, INFALLIBLE, UNACCOUNTABLE, CAMPAIGN AIR TIME WHERE SHE DOESN’T HAVE TO QUESTIONS THAT PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW. HOLD HER FEET TO THE FIRE LIKE THEY DO EVERY CAMPAIGN SPOKESMAN/WOMAN OR DON’T GIVE HER AIR TIME TO FREELY AND UNACCOUNTABLY ADVERTISE HER MOM.
This is not the White House teen anymore; this is a campaign spokeswoman now, and as Bill Clinton says,
“If a politician doesn’t wanna get beat up, he shouldn’t run for office. If a football player doesn’t want to get tackled or want the risk of an a occasional clip he shouldn’t put the pads on.”
Well, if Chelsea doesn’t want to answer questions then she shouldn’t be a campaign spokeswoman. ANSWER THE MEDIA’S QUESTIONS OR DON’T PUT THE PADS ON.

Hillary will be a very fine president because she will come into the situation with so much more knowledge of what is required in the White House…. plus she has her Senate experience which will serve her well. Her husband came in cold and had to start from scratch. Being familiar with the processes always helps an individual carry out his duties.
This is not to detract from Bill Clinton’s presidency. I think he was a fine president who managed to accomplish a great deal in spite of a hostile congress bent on his destruction.

Martin – Obama supporters forget that one too. Try speaking out against him and see what happens. I dont give a dayum about Wright’s comments. I think Obama speaking up about race only because he had too is just as deplorable as trying to racialize him as a Malcolm X. Maybe even worse.
Lauenpow – Obama’s wife was on the Board of one of Walmart’s biggest suppliers and conveniently resigned during this election.

How can Obama continue to get away with his constant back-tracking. First he says it did not warrant him leaving the church because that was not all his message was. Then he says everyone must understand his pastor says these things because of his history in America. Then he says he cannot distance himself from his pastor just like he cannot distance himself from his grandmother. Now Obama is saying “IF” Wright was not retiring he would have left his church. Keep in mind this is the same church and pastor he has listened to for 20 years. The same place Obama has admitted to sitting through or hearing about many controversial statements (Not just the ones that have been aired). So if Obama can sit through 20 years of the controversial statements and not leave the church, why is it America believes he would have left if Wright was not going to retire?????
Obama has shown in just the PRIMARIES that he is more of a double talker than many other candidates. He goes from one foot to the other depending on the public outcry. I want a leader who will do what is right no matter what the public outcry as long as his decision is the right one for the country. I do not want someone who will change his mind just because he thinks he will not get elected if he does not swoon to the public.
If Obama gets elected America will for certain collapse in the world stage and all the sheep that voted for his rhetoric will be responsible!!!

Moeen – saying “dynastic” over and over again does not prove a point. Just ridiculous. We elect people — there are not dynasties. Besides, if Obama was so against “dynasties,” why didnt he campaign against the Daly madness in his hometown? Answer: he will say anything to get elected…and if arguing against dynasties helps in the national scene, then cool….

Posted by: lois | March 28, 2008, 11:04 pm 11:04 pm

Yeah, right. Obama is a member of a church for 20+ years with Rev. Wright, and it wasn’t until the controversy that Obama recognized the Rev. Wright’s failings; and Obama would have left the church, after 20 years with Rev. Wright, if the reverand had not retired.
I would have left a long time ago; this is not the leadership in a church I would want my children to be trained under.
So, all we have to do if Obama is elected president is to stay on our toes to point out the obvious mistakes Obama makes so he will do the right thing. If Obama can’t determine in 20 years that his church’s leadership is faulty, how is he going to make decisions about this country’s future?
Tells me Obama enjoyed his 20 years with Rev. Wright.

Posted by: Kerry | March 28, 2008, 11:22 pm 11:22 pm

I’m sorry, but ANYTHING Obama tries to do NOW to “fix” the Rev. Wright problem is TOO LATE to be taken seriously. There are just too many anti-American and racial issues coming to light involving Obama. Those voting Democrat simply because they are Democrat need to view issues by considering what is good for America as a whole, not what is good for their wallet in the short run. The Democratic agenda (economic) is for lazy people who do not want to be responsible for their own lives. To be fair, the liberal politicians, media, uneducated in history by humanist public education, have brainwashed good American citizens into believing they are better off if they let the Government make decisions for them & take care of them. WAKE UP AMERICA, READ YOUR CONSTITUTION, BILL OF RIGHTS, AND THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!!

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is far better qualified to be the president of our country than any other candidate; Senator Barak Obama or Sen. McCain. Mrs. Clinton’s deep grasp of issues and policies makes her far more ready to take on the presidency than Mr. Obama and we’ve tried all what Sen. McCain prescribes, they are more or less same failed policies and solutions of George W. Bush and the Republicans. Mr. McCain is really an older, a fuzzier and more of a tempestuous version of Mr. Bush. While we spend on so much on foolish political misadventures overseas, United States is becoming a third world country domestically. Our economy is in shambles, dollar has declined so badly has never been before, lost our power and prestige around the world. US is crying out for a wise and prudent domestic and foreign policy. For example in infant mortality US is 40th in the world, our longevity is 41 in the world, not to mention, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and by all the universal standards of measurements, like it or not United States is quickly becoming a part of the third world. Spending money on the military cannot save us from the rapid decline. All you have to do is to take drive across the border to Canada to witness how badly American standards have deteriorated. US is increasingly becoming more like Mexico than Canada. Mr. McCain’s plan to continue the same ill conceived Bush-Republican policies such as to keep the war going in Iraq and make the tax cuts for the rich permanent would guarantee the further decline of American power, prestige and prosperity. Look, we don’t need Oprahsque wonderland phantasmagoria, feel good stuff that media people loves and stuff that Sen. Obama is all about. This was the same stuff that Sen. Obama’s carbon copy Massachusetts Governor Duval Patrick ran on and he had the same campaign manager David Axelrod. Find out what’s going on in Massachusetts right now, talking about failed policies! We need Hillary Clinton more than ever to be our president because she’s more experienced and competent than both of the men running. She will end this Republican nightmare; put our country back on track and restore our lost power and prosperity, just like Bill Clinton did─ believe me she’ll do even a better job than him. Chelsea, right-on!

Historiographer: Do you people just spout any hostile thing that comes into your heads without thinking it through for even one microsecond?
“WE PEOPLE” KNOW HOW TO READ AND RESEARCH, AFTER ALL WE ARE JUST “TYPICAL WHITE PEOPLE”.
Larry J. Sabato, a professor of politics at the University of Virginia, said the Obama campaign was probably behind the remarks.
“Those things don’t just happen,” he said. “They must have gotten some encouragement from the Obama hierarchy. Senators like Leahy and Dodd can occasionally pop off, but not in a situation like this.”
The Obama campaign denied responsibility for the Dodd and Leahy comments. Obama has said it is not for others to say when a candidate should get out of the race.

Posted by: lois | March 28, 2008, 11:25 pm 11:25 pm

It’s a ridiculous double standard. The words used by Rev. Wright should and will be viewed as same true beliefs as Obama and Oprah. Clearly there is intent here to aid and help Black people more than White people because of such great inequality today throughout the years.
This type of thinking is just going backwards and is completely opposite to what it means to be American. All people are equal and should be treated as such.

Posted by: Kerry | March 28, 2008, 11:25 pm 11:25 pm

”the Rev. Wright problem” is a desperate myth in the eyes of the Rightwing. People are already buying it less. McCain says he knows Obama doesn’t share hose opinions. There is no problem.

Posted by: Martin Lee | March 28, 2008, 11:26 pm 11:26 pm

Poor Lois, you might know how to read and research, but you apparently have problems understanding what was said. You have inferred things from those words that are not there. One man has expressed an opinion.
Perhaps if you wish to believe everything Larra Sabato says, you will go for this:
“Even if Clinton wins critical votes in Ohio and Texas on Tuesday, Larry Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, said she would have to win by such large margins to catch up to Sen. Barack Obama that it is hard to imagine.”

Hillary is such a liar. She wants to use her “foreign experience” as the upper hand against Obama. And then she lies about her trip to Bosnia etc and then has the audacity to say “I speak hundreds of words a day and misspoke.” Is she so stupid to not remember that that event was probably on film somewhere??? I wish she would just drop out. GO OBAMA!!!! And I am a former Republican and I think Obama has shown more integrity during this campaign. And Bill Clinton just makes me want to throw up.

” I’m not letting this go and worrying about the economy, war, or anything else.”
Ah. Good reason to vote for McCain. “Let’s avoid issues of the economy, war, abortion, pollution and all that useless stuff and concentrate on pushing guilt by association.”
Well, if that’s all you got you’re over.

Posted by: Martin Lee | March 28, 2008, 11:36 pm 11:36 pm

Hannity and Colmes said tonight that in a poll taken this week, that 70% of Clinton supporters would vote for McCain if she wasn’t the nominee…..only 24% of Nobama supporters would vote for McCain. Contrastly, 80% of NoBama supporters said if they had known about the Wright scandal before, they would not have voted for him and would have voted for Hillary. As was stated, these numbers in favor of Hillary continue to grow. You can bet the Super Delegates are taking notice, and will likely support Clinton. Added to this, Obama could not get away from Wright on “The View” today….it continues to haunt him. A African American political analyst said that as the Wright issues continue to grow and it appears Obama can’t stop them, then they will not support a candidate that is “divisive” in his thinking, especially concerning race. He went on to state that the Obama camp is getting worried….they were hoping that Clinton would cave under pressure, but it’s not affecting her….her support continues to grow. Also, they feel that Gore will endorse Clinton as well as John Edwards. When Gore endorses Clinton, it’s over for Obama. The Super D’s will be running to Clinton, plus, as someone already stated, the Fl and Mi delegates will be seated and allowed to vote. These delegates will be for Clinton. I’m sorry, Obama supporters, looks like it’s over for your candidate.

I don’t get it. Women tell me consistently that the one attribute they respect and admire more than any other is “Honesty”. Senator Hillary Clinton was caught red handed in a lie and women still flock to her like she’s the pipe piper. I haven’t read that book yet, you know the one I’m talking about, “Women are from Venus, Men are a bunch of Lieing Turds”. What gives? Seriously I’d like to know.

Will the real democrats on here make a vow to stop this personal attacks on the democratic candidates, their families and their respective surrogates and supporters and unite against the media. The media wants all this fighting that’s why they are not reporting on the issues, but the psuedo mudslinging.
God Bless Obama and Hillary.
PS: Chelsea is a vey accomplished young lady who should be admired and not maligned. God Bless Chelsea.
God Bless the supporters for both candidates.

KRG, Let’s talk about lies. Yes, Hillary wasn’t truthful. But, can you say Obama hasn’t lied? If I remember a couple days before his race speech he said he never heard his pastor’s hate sermons. The day of his race speech he said he did. He said he didn’t have a close relationship with Renkzo and he didn’t give him large donations. Well, while the whole Wright issue was in the news he quietly said yes he did have a closer relationship than what he had said and the donations was larger than what he had previously said. So if we are going to talk about lies…talk about all of their lies.

Ken, I think women like Clinton because she is strong, assertive, and has a lot of passion. I know, she wasn’t honest about Bosnia, but if you look at Obama, he has lied three BIG times to America in his speeches, and has yet, to come clean on a lot of issues. He has extremely good rhetoric, too bad he doesn’t have the substance to back it up. I just don’t see him being the nominee, and as Newt Gingrich said, it will be a good thing, because Obama is in a no win situation…..he played the race card and now his campaign is failing and will continue until he has to concede.

I do agree that Obama is not perfect and as a politician has compromised. I did quite buy his line that he was not at church when the minister made his comments. In this day and age, how could you not know that. I saw him on the View today and he cleared up some of my quetions
However, the Clintons have always exagerated and lied about things. There is Whitewater, and other shady things she did as an attorney. They took furniture from the white house when they left, that they then had to return. I just can’t bear them back in the white house. In the same way (although I voted for W twice) cannot bear to have any more Bushes in the WH either. I have always been a conservative republican, now indepedent, who is willing to vote for Obama.

Lois, of course I noticed that he always has an answer but so does Clinton. I mean they are first and foremost politicians. I have learned over the years to remember that. In my dream world, I hope they are honest but I am not suprised when things come out on them. I personally did not like Bill Clinton as president (although he did do a lot of good things) and I don’t want his wife in the white house. I cannot stand the thought of them back. I may have to vote for McCain if she is the nominee even though I opposed the war in iraq from day one.

Ok, folks, calm down. Chelsea has the right to support her parents and has an opinion. She has done nothing to bring criticism to her person. And, she has answered ALL the questions that are relevant. Both Clinton and Obama have “skeletons” in their closets, we all know this. We also know that the Democratic party is split now, hopefully, not beyond repair. As it stands, McCain will be the next US President if the Dems don’t get their act together…either Clinton or Obama need to concede and then support the other one, which, I think, is very doubtful. Look to at least 4 more years of GOP rule.

She would be a disaster as president!

Poor Chelsea?
She’s like the child of show business stars. Plenty of money, unimpressed with fame, and unmotivated by anything other than wanting to please Mom. Problem is, Mom is clearly a liar and becoming what she despised about Dad.
What to do?
After Hillary concedes, Chelsea will drift toward their Foundation or Library, become a board member and spend ten years raising money by leveraging her name to people easliy impressed by celebrity.
She will dabble at writing a book, go low-profile, and attempt to find traction as her own individual.
As heir to the Clinton fortune, she will gain adoring affection by champions of great causes, but will drag the legacy of the Clinton failures through life like a ball and chain.
Hillary’s defeat, Bill’s tarnished legacy and the end of living in a bubble will be a relief that she cannot yet fathom.

Posted by: Lewis | March 29, 2008, 11:53 am 11:53 am

I always figured I would be a Hillary person. I always felt she was much more likely to actually be a liberal in comparison to her husband and separate herself from his policies. (NAFTA, most favored trade status for China, Iraq sanctions which were murderous to the children, etc…)
I had always hoped she would approach her misguided vote in Iraq in some manner similar to Senator Edwards. I was greatly disappointed when she embraced the terrorism vote on Iran while once again failing to realize it would be used in the march to war by the Bushies and their Neocons.
She boldly hid behind group ignorance on the WMD issue in Iraq without many in opposition that I’ve heard of, raising the point that that was no valid excuse for invasion. It was well known from the times of desert storm of the multiple problems that would emerge from an invasion of Iraq, as it was also well known that Al Qeada was not involved in Iraq. It was also evident that we would be turning our backs on, running away from, the people of Afghanistan, our very public promises to them, our duty to justice for the people who died on that dreadful day, the conservatives so love to repeat, to bring to justice those who really did attack us.

Philly Democrat, you obviously are confused about something I said. I am not the one with gender or race bias. I voted for Bill Clinton twice and I believe he is one of our most successful presidents. But, I also know that Hillary has always had her own unique intelligence, ability and success. No one has worked any harder than she for the causes to help children, families, and workers. Along the way, she certainly was an equal part of Bill Clinton’s success. Where are you coming from?

Posted by: georgia | March 29, 2008, 12:14 pm 12:14 pm

Chelsea Clinton is an intelligent, poised young lady who goes out on the campaign trail just talking to people, with no prepared speeches, no teleprompters, no stage directions, just questions and answers about why she thinks her mom’s policies, experience and judgment make her best qualified to be our next President. Instead of attacking her, why doesn’t one of you Obama fans tell us when any of the Obama surrogates has had the guts and strength to do that? No prepared speeches, no teleprompters, just stand there and answer the questions like Chelsea does? Has Michelle Obama EVER done such a session, much less done it on a daily basis? Where is Michelle Obama? Don’t knock Chelsea if you can’t point out anyone in the Obama campaign who has the guts and the strength to do what she does in support of her mom.

Posted by: Grammy Barb | March 29, 2008, 12:29 pm 12:29 pm

Well really? What else would she say? Oh no, mom could never be as good as dad! Sheesh!!

Posted by: LongT | March 29, 2008, 12:32 pm 12:32 pm

I would agree with Chelsea – her mom is incredibly strong (more than Bill) and smart (as much or more), and very, very focused on working hard for Americans. After the debates, the mud, the pools, and the pundits it boils down to one thing: Who do we want as President to fix our ailing economy, get out of Iraq, restore our standing in the world, and lead with strength and vision. It’s hard to overlook the speeches, because they are often our only view into the candidates’ positions, unless we actually look at their experience, work in the Senate and how they have crossed party lines to build relationships. I like Hillary and her 35 years of working for Americans, and not just because she is now running for President. Three months ago I had never heard of Senator Obama, and I didn’t have a particular affinity for Hillary. But I started watching the debates and said “whoa, this woman knows her stuff”! Would it be easier if Hillary weren’t a woman? Uh, yea, in a big way! There are folks who just can’t get past a woman President. Would it be nice to have a President who actually gets things done for the average American and continues with the bridge-building? Yea! Do I have to want to have a beer with this person? Uh, no. I need a President to get it right and work their butt off for me and every other hardworking American. The problem I have with Senator Obama is not his race (I mean, how cool would it be to have a biracial President?!), the problem I have is his lack of experience, when I look at their two resumes, and his judgement when I look at his relationships, long ones. So, I am going to vote my gut and my head on this one. And unlike the pundits who want to pigeon hole me, I do like Senator Obama and would like to get to know him better, before we see him as President down the road.

I’m outrageously angry with the Clinton campaign because of her Rovian politics steeped in lies and innuendo. It’s the same style of conducting themselves that we have been decrying throughout the long dark Neocon-absorbed Cheney/Bush years. I’m beginning to think that the difference between her and Bush-hugging McCain is much smaller than the growing gulf between her and solid Democrats along with all fair minded Americans.
I’m beginning to believe that she would gladly divide the Democratic Party in order to facilitate, what she knows would be a dangerous and disastrous gop presidency for the nation, a future run for power. I also believe a third party run is also possible for the same reason but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are actually calculating their chances for an independent just barely squeaked out win in November.
She is reaping, with pride, hate radio involvement in her few primary victories.
Hillary and her husbands sadly fading legacy have embraced the concept of ‘the end justifies the means’. That’s another Noecon/Rovian principle that caused us to run away from the war on those who attacked us and the promises we made to Afghanistan which landed us in preemptive war and a misguided nation building occupation in Iraq. She participated in that type of hazardous thinking when she voted for the Iraq war and when she voted to give Bush the excuse from Congress he needed to ‘ Shock and Awe’ Iran.
She is now demonstrating that she continues to embrace risky ‘end justifies the means’ method of problem solving.
Wrong ‘democrat’ wrong time.

Someone needs to ask Chelsea if she remembers the snipers.

Posted by: LongT | March 29, 2008, 12:36 pm 12:36 pm

Why is it that many of the Obama supporters/bloggers can’t seem to debate intelligently (although they are the “college-educated” ones according to the pundits) and rely instead on prepubescent comments like unite-or-divide and LongT, above. Completely devoid of any rational argument, they rely so often on sound-bite, personal attacks. I, as have many Clinton supporters, have made my final decision on who is my candidate based on the nasty, childish behavior of many Obama supporters. If that is the kind of supporters he attracts, I am not interested. Uniter? Think again.

Like anyone expected her to say Bill?!
This isn’t worth the news.
Remove that pillow from under Chelsea and ask her another question she is not prepared to answer like the one about her mothers credibility.
Interesting… the news thought it was a nice answer. Since when is refusing to address credibility a nice answer????
Ask her why did SHE TOO get the information wrong about the Bosnia trip?
Hillary excuse won’t fly. I’m sure Sinbad has traveled quite a bit in his life too and yet he remembered it well.

charliechaplin: Great post. Do you know that Bill Clinton’s job approval rating was over 60% when he left office in 2001? That’s how good Americans felt when he left office, and I remember it well. So when the Obama folks scream about “no More Clintons in the White House”, I just figure they were asleep during American History class.

definitely she would be a better president than bill clinton and not only that she will be the best president of USA
MEN FOR HILLARY!

I don’t need to read the article, I believe Hillary is far more intelligent, not to say Bill isn’t. I also think Hillary is more focussed. That’s why she comes across as more intense, while Bill gets to be likeable. That’s great, they balance each other out. Hillary will be a better president.

Posted by: irma | March 29, 2008, 3:31 pm 3:31 pm

McCain can’t imply anyone is stupid, he is not the brightest bulb among the candidates. Sorry John, other than that you seem like a nice man, but you’re not someone I would ever want as my President.

O, do you really believe that Condoleeza Rice could be elected? After George Bush? She certainly does get credit for being an intelligent and capable woman who knows the world and its history. She saved George Bush in the early years (probaby even today), because he knew nothing of the world, geographically or historically. She gets a lot of credit for being a very intelligent person, even compared to a man! Ha! I just said that to make sure I did not put her in just a woman category. We women have to work twice as hard and longer at less pay, so we understand her history. Hillary Clinton has been fighting similar battles. Leahy says she will make a fine senator. What a patronizing remark! She is so much more knowledgeable than Barak, and she has so much more relevant experience for what the job requires. As far as Condoleeza goes, however, it might take her awhile to get over her connections with Bush and Cheney. I respect her and her intelligence.

THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ARE CHILDNESS; WE ARE AT WAR, OUR ECONOMY STINKS, HEALTHCARE IS SLOWLY GOING DOWN THE DRAIN; AND ALL YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IS THE CLINTONS PRIVATE LIVES…GET A GRIP!!!! THEY DONT NEED MONEY THEY DONT NEED FAME; THEY HAVE HAD ALL THAT. THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP THEIR COUNTRY, NONE OF YOU ARE DOING ANYTHING TO DO THAT EXCEPT TO “bCH”
LET THEM HELP US, WE NEED THAT HELP = YOU YOUNG PEOPLE DO NOT REMEMBER DEPRESSIONS, OR WORLD WAR II, GET OUT THEIR AND VOTE FOR HILLARY….SHE IS OUR CHANCE……

georgia wrote, “She (Candoliza Rice) gets a lot of credit for being a very intelligent person, even compared to a man!” If the bloggers here are not dealing with a full stack themselves, they probably shouldn’t be posting. I doubt a real woman would make such comment. It is inferiority complex at its best, but life-time confusion more likely. The fervant support of Hillary but not Candoliza, should give you an idea already.
Women have come a long way, and let’s not pull ourselves back for 50 years. That being said, remember Hillary is contributing to women’s BAD name, voting her IS allowing the progress to be pulled back. I am ready to vote for a woman president but definitely NOT Hillary.

This is just about the silliest question/answer in the silly moments of the campaign. Her mother is running for president and she’s going to tell the country she thinks her dad makes the best president? Gimme a break!

Posted by: Anita | March 29, 2008, 5:42 pm 5:42 pm

OF COURSE HILLARY IS BETTER CHELSEA WONT HAVE TO WORRY MOMY WILL HAVE TO DOLE OUT $850,000 OF HER INHEIRTENCE. LIKE GOOD OLD DADDY DID TO PAY PAUL JONES.
MOMMY WONT HAVE SOMEONE UNDER THE DESK TO EMBARASS HER.

WestCoastMessager, Hillary does not at all have her own brain, no first, no second and no hird brain. period. That is her problem. A Hillary government will be as her campaign a real mess. The Bosnian sniper=Hillary should leave the campaign. Chealsy is 27 years old and can not speak for herself but has to ask her mom. Interessing point. God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08.

Posted by: BKMC | March 29, 2008, 8:47 pm 8:47 pm

Mmm, let’s do the math. Who is trying to make a run for President? Bill or Hillary? How did they expect Chelsea to respond? DUH. This alleged journalistic question is the lamest and weakest idea for ‘news time’ I have read in quite a while. Not the most substantial, well thought out, or relevant question in the world. It’s like asking what color are banana’s?

From The Great State of Pennsylvania to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Send Hillary to the White House ! Go Pa…. Vote Hillary !!!!!!!!

Getting sick of Chelsea silly comments.

Posted by: brightofeyes | March 29, 2008, 9:31 pm 9:31 pm

Hillary is a lying nutcase who lives in a fantasy world! People who are suckered by the Clinton’s live in a fantasy world too! They will be gone soon enough and the country can get back to normal! Chelsea is goofy as well. The nut didn’t roll very far from the tree in this case!

Posted by: Ed | March 29, 2008, 9:37 pm 9:37 pm

Chelsea grew up in the Governor’s mansion and the White House. She’s just an average American girl. Hey Chelsea, ever sell plasma to pay the bills? Ever work 3 jobs? Ever been without health insurance? How much do you still owe on your student loans? Thanks for your words of wisdom Chelsea.

Posted by: OuttaTouch | March 29, 2008, 9:47 pm 9:47 pm

Hillary will be an outstanding president. She has the heart of a lion and will never quit fighting to make our country better. She is the polar opposite of GW Bush and that’s a plus right there. As far as Bosnia, at least she has some experience to embellish.

Posted by: judy | March 30, 2008, 2:01 am 2:01 am

Now that Clinton fanally has somebody to endorse her, her own daughter, she should stay in the race. Everyday her rating drops and the point spread increases. Her dirty tactics are going to cause the opposition to unload on her. By August she will be so unpopular she won’t be able to run for NY Governor or even keep her seat in the Senate. Good ridance to her.

Posted by: John | March 30, 2008, 8:31 am 8:31 am

Chelsea is so far removed from the truth by her parents.
Coming from a Clinton…what did you expect the answer to be?

Posted by: GLO | March 30, 2008, 11:28 am 11:28 am

Bill Clinton was a joke of a president – I guess this means that Hillary will be a joker. Good grief, how can anyone with any common sense want either of these idiots back in the White House.

Posted by: ravenhair | March 30, 2008, 12:04 pm 12:04 pm

She should have said, “I believe my mom will make a better President than my dad, but I know she will make a far better President than the Remedial Republican pool of candidates.”

Posted by: irma | March 30, 2008, 5:10 pm 5:10 pm

Who cares what Chelsea thinks?!! She is a snob! She wants her mother to win so she can run herself in the future. Let’s stop the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton nonsense!! It’s time for someone new!

Posted by: J.L. | March 30, 2008, 5:15 pm 5:15 pm

Speaking of Chelsea and the candidates’ family advocates, does anyone know what has happened to Michelle Obama? She seems to have gone really below the radar since the Wright revelations.

Posted by: katrina | March 30, 2008, 6:21 pm 6:21 pm

REpublicans want Obama. He is a target now. Can you imagine how easy it is going to be for them to beat him when they start playing video clips of GD AMERICA. And herring him talking about quitting the elction if he lost 12 states. Then when that’s compared to Iraq how many people will vote for a quitter to run this country?
If you are voting for Obama you are voting for McCain.

Posted by: HAl | March 30, 2008, 6:49 pm 6:49 pm

If you will read up on William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, then you can understand the Obama connection to Rev. Wright, why it took him so long to denounce/reject his words, and, ultimately, will explain Michelle Obama’s comments. Karl Rove is already gearing up for this one!!

Posted by: olivia | March 30, 2008, 11:00 pm 11:00 pm

For all of you who say you do not want BUSH/CLINTON/BUSH/Clinton: If that is your main reason for not wanting HILLARY for President, vote for McCain because you really don’t care about the issues anyway.

Posted by: sparklewdc | March 31, 2008, 2:08 am 2:08 am

Bill Clinton was an excellent president and did lots to help the American people. The economy was great under him: mutual funds lucrative, housing prices rose, stocks rose, surplus budget, etc…but Chelsea probably knows that her mom had a lot to do with that. Behind every strong man is usually an equally strong or stronger woman. Hillary Clinton would make an excellent president and she really seems to care. The press says she goes on and on about healthcare but that is because she cares. I think Barack is the one who should take credit for dividing the party. Personally, I think Hillary is the only one who can beat McCain and she is staying in because the people want her to stay; the press should stop trying to be the tail wagging the dog. They will lose credibility if they urge her to quit and Barack goes down like Mondale, McGovern, etc.

Hillary represents women everywhere who have been told they could not do this or that because they are a woman. Hillary represents women everywhere that have been called “the weaker sex”. Hillary represents women everywhere who have lost jobs to gender bias. Hillary represents women who are paid less because they are women. Hillary represents women everywhere who have been betrayed.Hillary represents the hopes and dreams of every little girl. Hillary represents the the best attributes of women everywhere. She’s smart, fair, caring , strong, determined, capable ,loyal ,resilient ,flexible, industrious , decisive and NOT A QUITTER. She will not be BULLIED INTO QUITTING BY MEN or women.

Firstly, does Puerto Rico will hold the primary? I bet Hillary will overpass Obama in popular vote after that. Secondly, Obama says that he won more states. Let’s dig in it deeper. Referring what is happening in Texas, I think it is overstatement. Specifically, he lost primary in Taxes by 5%- a few tens of thousands vote and he is winning the caucuses some what 60 to 40%. Does any one see the problem? Most states Obama won were caucuses. I bet he will loose a quite a few of them if these state hold a primary. Then my question is how can Obama justify that he is capable of winning a red states based on his caucuses victory if Texas shows the otherwise? Think people, think.

All the media slighting, insults, name-calling, condemnations, ridicule and even every one of the news anchors and each and every talking head on the TV attacking her; and every major news paper columnist insulting, trashing and ridiculing her, in spite of her own long time colleagues Sen. Kerry and Sen. Kennedy, Bill Bradley, Bill Richardson betraying her and turning their backs on her and endorsing and campaigning for opponent, the new kid on the block Sen. Obama, in spite of shocking defeats and setbacks she had suffered, she had persevered, she had come back to show for power, and persistence, with more determination; more humbleness and grace. She’s my hero; my shinning night in armor who fights relentlessly for us humble folk, the downtrodden and the disenfranchised, the shift workers, the ridiculed, the neglected; we the toilers for hourly wagers, the elderly and the disabled, she’s our hero! For us she cuts a heroic figure, because she keeps on fighting for us! With her determination and tenacity she had shown she’s more than ready to lead our great land; and with the help of humble folks like us─ I know some of you in the media want to burn her on stake, I know she will triumph over all adversity, I know she’s make history! Hillary Clinton is my Joan of Arc!
