Clinton Pollster Argues Buyers Remorse Setting In

ABC News’ Kate Snow Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton’s top pollster says voters are starting to get a case of “buyer’s remorse” when it comes to choosing a presidential candidate.

Selectively citing some flattering new polling figures, top Clinton adviser Mark Penn claimed Sen. Barack Obama’s national lead among Democrats is “evaporating”.

“Perhaps a significant case of buyer’s remorse is setting in as people begin to go through the process of vetting and testing Senator Obama,” Penn told reporters on a conference call Wednesday.

Actually, a review of recent polls shows a more complicated picture than Penn describes.

A new national Gallup tracking poll released today — and quoted by Penn — does show Clinton with a statistically significant lead over Obama for the first time in more than a month, 49 to 42 percent.

But just two days ago, a separate Gallup/USA Today poll had Obama up over Clinton by the same margin, 49 to 42 percent for Obama.  On that same day, a CNN poll showed found Obama leading Clinton 52-45.

In the Gallup poll released today, Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain leads Obama, 47 to 43 percent.  But he also edges out Clinton with 48 percent to her 45 percent.

Penn was asked if he thought recent stories about Obama’s former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, were contributing to voter sentiment about Obama.

“I don’t think you can pick out any single issue here,” he said but then listed several recent negative stories about Obama, including  a meeting between an Obama adviser and Canadian diplomats about NAFTA; the resignation of former Obama aide Samantha Power; and the ongoing Rezko trial.

“Just a month ago the Obama campaign was touting numbers of their candidate doing better against John McCain,” Penn said.  “Several new polls show Hillary Clinton leading McCain,” he claimed and then cited various state polls.

On the conference call, the Clinton campaign also took credit for the release of some eleven thousand pages of schedules from the time the senator was first lady.

While they were emphatic that the National Archives was in charge of releasing those documents, aides were eager to say it was evidence of the campaign’s transparency.

“We have 11-thousand documents in the public record as of today,” said campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson.  “Senator Clinton, as many of you know, has been the subject of some sixty books.  She is, in many respects, an open book.”

Senator Obama, on the other hand, charged Wolfson, has not been as open.

Wolfson called on Obama to release any records or letters pertaining to his time as a member of the Illinois legislature.

“There’s much Senator Obama can do on disclosure if he chooses to make this an issue,” said Wolfson.

Hillary is not going to win the nomination. The only shot the folks like Mark Penn think they have is to completely and utterly destroy Obama as well as the Democratic Party. In the process, they will succeed in making Obama less electable, but still SO much more electable than Hillary. Isn’t anyone the bit curious how magically the exact same edited video of Pastor Wright shows up on Fox News and then ABC News right after the Ferrarro dust-up? Regardless of the respect I used to have for the Clinton’s, if somehow Hillary pulls off the nearly impossible and steals the nomination, large portions of the Democratic base will turn their backs on her and sit out the presidential election (and thus, she’ll lose in a historic landslide).

I won’t turn my back on Sen. Clinton. In fact, she’s our only hope at this point. We need her now more than ever. I hope she gets the nomination and if she does, I’ll be the first in line to vote for her.

Paul,
Is that you Karl. Good grief, so your zany assertion is that somehow Hillary Clinton is responsible for the damage done by Reverend Jeremiah Wright to the Obama campaign. Is your real name Karl Rove?

Posted by: WestCoastMessenger | March 19, 2008, 3:43 pm 3:43 pm

Hillary’s supporters are counting on the failure of Obama, instead of Hillary’s merits, for her to win a nomination that she does not deserve. Just read those postings, if all they have got is “Obama is toast”, “Obama’s melt down”, then they should ask themselves, why are they supporting Hillary? This is nothing but her opponent was toast? Good reason to elect a world leader, fools.

“On that same day, a CNN poll showed found Obama leading Clinton 52-45.”
Again, the fine print on CNN actually showed that this lead was NOT statistically significant. The margin of error reported in that poll showed them to be statistically tied (nice biased reporting though CNN).
In contrast, today’s new national Gallup tracking poll, the lead IS statistically significant. The margin of error reported was actually relatively small at 2%.
It will be interesting to see how this trends over the next few weeks.

Every time I see that young man’s face flash across the news, the hair on the back of my neck stands up on end. I can’t explain it, there is just something very unsettling about his demeanour and body language. By the way, he will NOT be the first black president. He is NOT black. He is just playing both ends of the race fiddle to his advantage. How convenient.

In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, Obama now leads Clinton 47% to 42%. Yesterday, Obama led 45% to 44% (see recent daily results).
Rasmussen Reports as of today!

This is so sad, so Mccain now leads both democrats, democrats you need to put your house in order or you would lose in November.

Um, she released the pages because she was ordered to by a judge due to a lawsuit. Even so, they are demanding a year or two to release the call logs. Her accounting for her Kosovo trip is directly refuted in the log. I’ve gone through over a year of the logs and have yet to see anything more significant than a meet and greet on her schedule.

Wolfson is all spin. And about those tax returns, Howard?
One thing is certain, there is an increasing amount of talk of “protest” votes for McCain or Nader if Clinton is “awarded” “wins” or “conquers” the Democratic nomination. She has created and exploited too many divisions for her to reverse. Her campaign has been based in dividing not uniting. Voters should be offended that Clinton thinks all will be “forgiven” in the end; or that voters will be handily manipulated later on in Denver for the sake of party unity.
Based on what I hear, that is not going to happen.

Those of you that worship different polls every other day of the week are getting tired. The only polls that count are on real election days – something that Florida and Michigan seem to choose to avoid now that they wanted to be “players” back in early January.

Posted by: Marco Rincones | March 19, 2008, 4:16 pm 4:16 pm

Talk about cherry picking LOL Real Clear Politics which follows all 10 of the National polls has Obama leading and in the indivual pools shows Clinton winning 1 while Obama leads in all others…..guess Penn didn’t want to discuss the other polls ….

East,
I’m a DOWNSCALE DEMOCRAT, one who is paying $4 per gallon for gas and knows that these election is about issues. I can’t be bought so don’t even try. You fail to provide any logic in your condemnation of CLINTON, but if you want to convince me to move to OBAMAs corner you will have to do better than ridicule. Many have tried before you and failed.

Posted by: WestCoastMessenger | March 19, 2008, 4:37 pm 4:37 pm

Dogsoldier,
Again, its about the issues. A major issue is judgement. I think OBAMA has shown major POOR JUDGEMENT by placing WRIGHT on his campaign, for the past year, and did not remove him until there was a public outcry a year later. The fact that it took a year showed that that OBAMA was on a honeymoon, and Wolfson is right, BUYER’s REMORSE is setting in. OBAMA is not of Presidential caliber to be Commander-in-Chief or to help out with the economy, based on his JUDGEMENTAL record.

Posted by: WestCoastMessenger | March 19, 2008, 4:40 pm 4:40 pm

If Senator Clinton does not win the the Democratic nomination, I will not vote, I will never vote for Senator Obama, nor McCain ever, Obama is not the person he represents, and since I live in the State of Florida, if the election counted, Senator Clinton would be leading.
It is truly un-American that a republican Governor and majority republican house moved up the primary election. Senator Obama will never win against McCain.

Dogsoldier,
You got a good point about OBAMA’s grandmother. What’s up with that. He like totally put Reverend Wright on his campaign, I’m wondering to the tune of what kind of funding out of the big $55 million dollar war chest, and he places his little grandma in the same category as Wright, and then totally embarasses her publicly for past stupid comments. I’m curious if this information was in the public domain from his books. I had not heard it before. Takes all kinds.

Here he goes again. Excellent speech and no action. He’s lying about the Wright’s speech. In 20 years he has no idea about what was going on in the church that he claims had taught him everything ? Why did Obama disinvite Reverend Wright to his campaign inauguration ? He clearly knew about Reverend Wright. Now he claims that his assocation with Rezko is more than just a campaign contribution…Hoping to hear about more skeletons in his closet. If he is all about good judgement, then he should drop out now.

Give me a break, Obama still leads in other polls and these polls mean absolutely nothing right now going up and down with each passing day. They wish ‘buyer’s remorse’. If there’s any ‘buyer’s remorse’ to be had it is buyer’s remorse of Hillary Clinton. OBAMA ’08!!

Posted by: RuthieM | March 19, 2008, 4:56 pm 4:56 pm

Sandra,
I feel your pain. If the Democratic party does not count my vote then the Democratic party cannot count on me. If I lived in Florida or Michigan I would be totally p’o-d. I’m glad to hear that you are not going to vote for MCCAIN. Yes, the Republican Party is really to blame in Florida, but the DNC needs to rise above it.

Posted by: WestCoastMessenger | March 19, 2008, 4:57 pm 4:57 pm

It’s obvious from the emotionally driven personal attacks here and on other blogs that the Obama supporters are feeling desperate and the Republicans are fueling the fires. After the revelations of the past few weeks, there is no way that Obama will win in a general election. His credibility is shot with anyone who wasn’t solidly and fanatically in his camp already. It’s too bad that much of the information concerning his associations didn’t come out earlier in the primary. I blame the fawning media and the DNC for creating an election fiasco through poor planning and disenfranchisement.

Posted by: mhhunt | March 19, 2008, 4:59 pm 4:59 pm

WCM-The thing about Obama’s grandmother who he says loved him more than anything else, and but the time I woke up after night shift today I found myself really mad that Obama would do something like that. That’s what lasted from Obama’s speech yesterday. Even if his grandmother said things he had no business to throw her to the wolves with no way to defend herself. That’s not right. You just don’t do something like that and not be called to the carpet over this. Unfortunately, this is what sticks in mind one day after Obama’s speech.

Posted by: Dogsoldier | March 19, 2008, 4:59 pm 4:59 pm

RuthieM,
I believe MattOhio is just giving you some data. You can dismiss it all you want but it is what it is. There is clear movement away from Obama, it is a slow drip kind of movement, but we are seeing classic erosion of standing. You don’t have to call it BUYER’s REMORSE, call it whatever you like. A pattern is a pattern.

I hear you dude. It was a tasteless thing for OBAMA to do to his own grandmother. I’ve seen an article on his grandmother, where he spoke about her dearly, and did not throw her under the bus. Apparently, he’s willing to use his own grandmother for political expediency if he feels desperate enough. Hadn’t thought much about that before, good call on your part.

Why don’t you talk about your self-serving candidate, and all the cess she surrounds herself with. One of the biggest problems I have with her is that she is in bed with special interests. That means more fraud, extortion, and wasted money. There is no way that she will be able to govern in an impartial way. That is what makes the millions to Obama and I dare say Paul from small donors so special. Do you guys want another Clinton and then another Bush after that if Jeb jumps in. Why can’t we have something new. If this doesn’t sway you then you guys are definitely on her payroll. Common sense is lacking with you folks.

Those are all fair issues to deal with. I’m focused on issues of JUDGEMENT related to OBAMA, but will be glad to discuss economic matters. Can we start with a focus on a balanced budget which history has shown both Clintons now only supported such but delivered such? We are in plight with a $10 trillion deficit and we’ve mortgaged our great-grandchildrens’ future to pay for this insane war and the rest of the party that Bush and Cheney threw for the past seven years.

I am a fiscal conservative. I say there needs to be a balanced budget. We have to agree on national priorities, which I hope embraces a social agenda, but does not rely on increases in taxes or deficit spending, but instead relies on a shift in spending priorities, using a balanced budget as a guiding beacon. State Democratic governors have accomplished significant results using this approach.

West – Thanks for this debate. It’s good. Finally something we can agree on, the problems facing our country. I am still going with a candidate that isn’t in the top three. For me it isn’t about a particular party winning, or for that matter Obama or Clinton (McCain isn’t going to win!). It is about the platforms, and how those platform will interfere with our lives. So far my favorite is Ron Paul. He is an antiwar fiscal conservative, who is pro-personal liberties , and against such foolish things as he drug war and the war on prostitution. Kucincich, while I disagree with his overt welfarism, is a good honest person who will do everything he can to make American lives better. Kucinich along with Paul would enable 3rd party candidates to have a better chance of being elected. Gravel is the same way. Nader has fought for consumers for years and isn’t apart of this special interests cess. Why should I vote Clinton over these individuals that have not sold their soles to the highest bidder? Hillary is not even a choice for me. She has a very shady past. Sorry West, I just can’t go that way.

As a life long democrat, I am not worried about the predictions that the party will “split” upon any outcome at the August convention, but rather,I am saddend by the fact that the party has already split. While Obama and Clinton both claim they may be able to put their differences aside and unite at the convention’s end, it is clear through these comments and many more on other blogs that the supportors of both candidates will not unite for one candidate. While I hope I am wrong, I am left with despair as I prepare for another 4 years of republican rule.

I’m a black female Captain in the U.S. Army. I have served for over 20 years and I love my country…I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the world.
Obama and his links to Rev. Wright/Rezco is bad judgement….and blacks need to own up to it and STOP making excuses for Obama & Wright.
Before this story broke, I spoke to my 14 & 12 year old daughters about not hanging around those who have a bad reputation or continuously do negative things, because others will believe they are the same way….Obama should have had the intelligence to also know this by now! Wright should NEVER use the pulpit to voice political rhetoric…regardless if they are true or not. The pulpit is ONLY for God’s word.
I distastefully saw people…mostly young….crying, worshipping, and idolizing Obama at his rallies…calling him the Messiah. In my gut I saw trouble coming because of this. The ONLY Messiah is Jesus Christ. When Obama didn’t ask these young people to tone it down, and when he himself rellished from being in the spotlight….he lost my vote. NO ONE puts him/herself on a pedestal acting as if they are Jesus Christ…ONLY Jesus Christ can do that. And why on earth would a Christian preacher (Wright) give a lifetime achievement award to a Muslim……Farrakhan???? As a Christian, this is very suspicious to me.
Futhermore, I also blame white college kids who are Obama’s core supporters. They also spew hate all over the Internet in defense of Obama 24/7. They blindfully supported Obama WITHOUT researching his platform….then alot of other whites followed suit.
Bottom line….Obama needs to withdraw from the presidential race and the people of Illinois can deal with him and his Senate seat. Every candidate/man of God….including Obama and Wright, need to be held to the same standard…regardless of the color of their skin.
If Obama was a white candidate….lets say Hillary Clinton and Wright was a white preacher….they would be fried by the media, black politicians and me….and rightfully so!
I have been saying to family & friends for a year that Obama wasn’t ready YET to be President…maybe in 8 years or a Governorship FIRST. Remember, you never want to set a person up for failure. As a Captain in the Army, my superiors would never put me in a position that I wasn’t trained/ready for. The same should be the standard for the office of the Presidency.
Experience for Obama is just NOT there yet. However, Obama’s chances of holding a political office in the future is gone…probably forever.

Obama has proven to be everything he said he wasn’t. First, he doesn’t have experience. Second, he’s not a moderate trying to work with all parties, but a radical with a far left leaning. He sought out Marxist professors in college as well. He has a 20 year association with a radical minister. He’s not change and hope, but he’s bad news, and a smooth operator. Also, by not wanting a revote in Florida and Michigan, he’s just showing that he’s not above the fray as he said, but a same old dirty politican. He won’t get the nomination, and if he does, McCain will win. Democrats will be foolish to nominate Obama now.

Lorilyn – Some of us have noticed it yes. I spoke to a family member who is a psychologist about interracial kids. She had a few things to say about it:
When a child grows up with only one parent because the other parent abandons the child, it is ironically not uncommon for the child to blame the parent that did not abandon them. Combined with the racial issue, it is plausible that he harbors an anger towards the race of his mother. Given his statements in his book that might be true but without a complete assessment privately she could not say.
Since politics is about timing and perception, I guess it does not matter if he is anti-White or not. What matters is what the majority of democratic voters perceive.

Hillary needs to win the nomination – period or the Republicans will surely win. The former Obama supporters, I know, have already changed their minds. They say if Hillary doesn’t get the nomination, they are NOT voting.
Obama just doesn’t have the experience -he is naive on foreign affairs and wants to implement way to many social programs to help the economy. Worst of all, is his bad judgement regarding the racist pastor. This man was his mentor and trusted advisor. Bottom line, folks, if McCain or Hillary, attended a white church like this and considered a white, racist preacher their trusted friend and mentor, they would lose EVERYTHING. The double standards and reverse discrimination has got to stop!!!
Obama is starting to lose in the polls because he has been outed as a fraud. The candidate who would transcend race, the candidate of change – listened to racially charged comments and anti-American garbage for 20 years. Is this the kind of change, we need? – I don’t think so.

Dogsoldier: “Unfortunately, this is what sticks in mind one day after Obama’s speech.” Really? I think that statement is more a reflection on you than Obama. I am certain that he discussed with his grandmother the information that he provided about her. He did not “throw her under the bus” as so many want to put it. He gave an amazing speech on a topic that has for too long been taboo. He spoke of how both black and white have angst, and anxiety about the other…some real, some perceived. It is high time that we had a leader who could broach this subject in the way only he can, seeing it from both black and white perspective. It is high time that this country get honest with itself and work to make it a better place for all. When I read all of these blog posts denigrating this man it doesn’t make me angry because I know who he is. It just makes me sad that there are still so many people in this country who enjoy the divisive politics of the Rovian age even though they claim to be Democrats. It makes me sad that fellow Americans, fellow Democrats stoop to whatever means they have to in order to help get their candidate elected or even just out of ignorance. I support Obama because he gives me hope. I support Obama because he is a thoughtful, reasoned thinker. He has a calm, rational demeanor and is one who has spent his entire adult life working to make this country a better place. And, all you guys can do is bash. So sad!

Why all this surprise about the state of race in America today? As an outsider watching the presidential campaign, the hypocrisy by many is just breathtaking. Too many are hiding behind hysteria because they are afraid to look at the facts in the face, and most of all because they are afraid to face what those facts will reveal about their own character; about who they are as human beings; about how much of their ideological security blankets they will have to chuck and how much outside of their comfort zones they will have to step in order to face the truth, accept it and then develop new attitudes. All this hysteria about race a test for Barrack Obama? Yes. But as usual America is missing the most important point of all of this, which is that this is in fact a true test of America’s maturity from all aspects. Is America in these opening years of the 21st century – a country that loves to sing its own praises about its democracy and super power status; a country that is forever pointing its finger at everyone else and preaching about morals and ethics, honesty and freedom and justice, whilst constantly ignoring the mess in its own backyard – is the United States of America now mature enough to take a good long look at itself and acknowledge that there is an urgent need for America to start forging a new and truly united society if it ever hopes to go on having any relevance and standing in the world in the 21st century? America has lost the credibility, respect and the admiration of the world today because she continues to ignore the past, pretends about the present and doesn’t really give a damn about the world’s future. It is America that is being challenged to grow up and forge a new UNITED society. It is America that is being challenged to shut up and clean the mess in its own backyard first and thus set a true democratic example for others to follow. A test for Barrack Obama? Yes, and he has been tested indeed and it says much to the character of the man that despite all the extreme rhetoric of his pastor over the years, Barrack Obama has not come through that test bitter and twisted. Instead he has come through with a strengthened resolve and determination and a vision powered by hope to use his God given gifts to contribute to building a new UNITED society in America. The real question is, is America ready to take up the challenge? Is America mature enough to take up the challenge? If it is, there is a Warrior by the name of Obama ready to lead the charge.

Wow Ronke Rwagaju! Well said. I could not have put it better myself. I read Mr. Obama’s entire speech, and it was breathtaking and awe inspiring. I printed that speech to have my daughter read when she is old enough to understand that a great man and visionary had the courage to put into words what has been ailing this country for generations from a black man’s point of view. That he has move past the awful history of this country to without bitterness, but with the vision to “continue to form a more perfect union”. People criticized him for the bits of the speech that they saw on television, but I would encourage others to actually read the transcript to see the gravity of the words he wrote for themselves. People should be able to read it as many times as they need to let the words sink in. This was not the ramblings of a person just trying to get elected, it is history making literature.

People stop the squabbling and read the man’s resume. Obama realy wants to make a change for the better. He is not on a power trip. This is a man of substance. You do not abandon your friend whos been there for you just because of differences of opinion, if it was so easy this would be a planet full of lonely people. On this stance I respect Obama to the max. This shows us he will stand by what he promises. I do not think anyone would do what he did considering whats at stake. This is the commander-in-cheif this country needs.

Senstor Obama’s speech on race was
delivered with eloquence and calculated cadence in delivery. I sense no passion is his speech. His facial expressions remained cautious throughout the process.
Hence, I am committed to vote either
Hillary or McCain.
Obama’s speech actually placed the issue of race in the fore front in this remaining primaries. He aimed to rally the black voters and great percentage of
independents and white males. But, he
underestimated the impact of Rev. Wright’s radical, divisive, anti-white, and anti-government sermons. It is catching fire and this will pave way to his downfall.
Indeed, he is a kid.

Fancis, you have proved a point that voting for Hillary or McCain is one in the same. Mcain will run the country a Bush does now, and Hillary will change nothing and it will be business as usual on either side. I once thought that either Obama or Hillary would be good for this country, but now I see that Hillary can’t hold a candle to Obama. Hillary might make a good President, but Obama would make a great leader. The difference here is between greatness over mediocrity. I for one would prefer a great leader that the global community would respect over a president that other countries would simply be forced to tolerate.

They are not polling Obama’s grassroot’s people.
We’re still out here.
We’ve networked. We are not silent.
We’re moving ahead not matter how many head games Hillary plays through the MSM.
We can get to the truth without them.

Its time for Al Gore and John Edwards to stand up and endorse a candidate. Too many superdelegates continue to walk the fence while the Democratic nominees tear each other down, down, down (already below McCain).
At this point (when it is a virtual mathematical impossibiliy for Clinton to catch up with Obama), this fence-walking is not justifiable.
PA results wont change the situation, either. It seems that Ted Kennedy and John Kerry are the only ones showing any guts.

Obama is looseing the male white vote as well as independants who are going over to McCain. Clinton in the meantime has started to sure up her base and the traditional democratic base is on her side. Without the independants and without syphoning off some of the white male vote Obama is done. Dont even mention the young vote which may or may not show up at the polls. The best thing the party could do is put Clinton in as nominee and start damage control with rebuilding the party. If they allow Obama to get the nom its not the republicans who will do him in, but the disgusted dems who favor Clinton and want nothing to do with him now that he has taken us on the Obamacoaster.

Mike Denhof: I summise that neither Gore or Edwards will lend their support to the train wreck that is Obama. Would you want your good name attached to this mess? On the other hand if they endorse Hillary its all over for Obama the superdelegates will vote for her and Obama will be done.

Don’t you Dem’s get it ???In Texas G.O.P crossed the party line and voted for the less DEMOCRAT likely to win–that just happened to be Hillary. Come November TEXAS will vote MCcain. WAKE UP !!!WE DON’T WANT EIGHT MORE YEARS OF THE “CLINTON’S’..

Are they bragging about the, almost 5,000 pages of this record being blacked out? You know, when you have something you are proud of you want to show everyone. The fact that Clintons have tried very, very hard to keep these files under wraps for many years, then when they are forced to release some of them, they black out a huge portion. When there is nothing to hide, you hide nothing.
She brags about winning a state, that she said earlier didn’t count, against uncommited. Can you imagine what may have happened if everyone could have voted for who they wanted to and she wasn’t the only name on the ballot? Why would you brag about that?
She lied about not supporting NAFTA. Clearly she did, according to the, just released White House papers. She jumps on Obama every single chance she gets and then she accuses him of doing the same thing. Just after the campaign really got started, the second primary, she was extremely worried about losing again. Due to the stress of the campaign, her words, she had an emotional moment ( that just happened to be caught on tape) After all of her years in the public eye, people were aware of her cold demeanor, so in just one day the numbers turned around so quickly and steep that she won the primary. The next day people admitted that her display of emotion changed their mind. She denied it was a political ploy of course, however, after thousands of more hours and much, much more stress, she has not shed a tear??

Obamas speech will go down in history as one of the most aspiring speeches ever made to the american people…
every american should print out this speech or tape it and make sure if u have children let them see or read it
may God bless america.

Yes, Obama made a wonderful speech…as he has done repeatedly since his Dem Convention speech. He is talented to invoke a crowd. After seeing his church involvement, it is easy to see how he can convert masses to see him as a Presidential candidate.
HOWEVER,his speech just played another race card. It did NOT address the issue of the “white” Americans worried about an Anti American candidate! I think this shows that Americans need to stop being so lazy about how they choose their candidate and not just get caught up in the Hoopla of who that last state voted for…who’s ahead in the polls. American voters need to use their brain and figure out who is best for the overall need of America. I don’t just need hope to get out of Iraq or dream of a Utopia America. I need someone who will roll up their sleeves and know how to get er done. GO HILLARY!

Our media is wrong to ignore the importance of Latino vote. No one says a word about it in the news media, which happen to be larger than the black vote. The Washington media establishment is misleading the country just as usual, remember Iraq war? Mrs. Clinton was able to bring back the Regan democrats back into the democratic party fold, which I think is a huge accomplishment. With the solid support from women and Latinos Sen. Clinton is best able to defeat Mr. McCain and the Republicans in the fall. For Sen. Obama his support among independents and among men are quickly dwindling and that’s a fact specially after Rezko and Wright scandals broke out. Mr. Obama is becoming too fragile. And obviously, there’s no caucuses in a presidential race to be manipulated by a arduous small group of activists. And the black, the young and liberal coalition never won presidential elections for the democrats, we all know that for our past experiences!

Hillary for President because she is not doing the crab dance like Obama. Today he says one thing tomorrow another. When will he be man enough to stand before his Creator and tell the truth abouth his spiritual guide Wright?
that is tyour only problem Barack and it has serious consequences in the end if you really believe in Jesus or is that just a lot of crock on your part?

Posted by: alidawa | March 21, 2008, 11:49 am 11:49 am

Does anyone know why Hillary has resorted to wining and dining the remaining Superdelegates? After spending eight years in the Whitehouse as First Lady, why is it SO difficult to get anymore delegates to support her?? Maybe because they know more about her and Bill than we do. She is in the fight of her life, desperately clawing her wayto stay in the race. And about Rev. Wright’s message: Yes it was and is abhorrent, but is Obama suppeded to be responsible for everything that comes out of another adult’s mouth. Has every catholic person renounced the pedophile priest’s that have been an still are in the Catholic Church? I think not. He has publicly denounced and repudiated what Wright said. That is all anyonecan expect of him.

In an election such as this, which so much gap between the next primary i dont even know why anyone is bothering to listen to a pollster. Anyone who does a poll for an election right after a a fall out and expects that this trend will stay consistent is an idiot. All they are doing is trying to affect voting pattern by releasing polls. Its like asking a wife/husband right after an argument if theyd consider divorce.
