Obama Implies Clinton Thinks It’s Her ‘Turn’ to Be President

At a $1,000-a-head fundraiser at the Credit Suisse building in New York City today, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, took a brand new whack at Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, adding to his usual construct that he “decided to run not because of some long-held ambitions or because I thought it was somehow owed to me" the notion that "certainly I wasn’t presumptuous enough to think it was my turn."

Obama also pooh-poohed the notion that Democratic divisiveness would hurt the part come November, saying the primary and caucus process “has gotten people engaged in politics who were never engaged before or who had forgotten what it’s like to be passionate about politics…“I am absolutely confident that by the time this thing is over, the Democratic party will be completely unified."

He added, "for those of you who are just weary of the primary, and feeling kind of ground down or that it’s like a Bataan death mark, I just want everybody to know that the future is bright.”

WELL,HEY, ITALIANS MAKE GOOD FOOD!!!!!
IN RESPONSE TO YOU, MR. OBAMA AND YOUR UNCLE-PASTOR, I SAY IN ITALIAN “ARRIVEDERCI”…………

Mrs. Pelosi is afraid of being upstaged by Mrs. Clinton.
That’s why she is for Obama.

Obama’s got some nerve …..Why shouldn’t it be her time …He thinks its he’s turn….Obama is weak and and has no words of his own and no plan of his own …He’s not a good person to be President of the United States by no means…So obama..don’t count your chikens befoore they hatch….Oh thats right you think its your turn because you are black…Its all about the blacks as your uncle wright said….

Pelosi is not for Obama, she will vote for Hillary as her state voted for Hillary. She will also honor FL and MI votes as she cares so much about people’s vote.
Thanks Nancy.

Obama thinks that he can get away with politics under the shadow of all the media. I think obama is not tough enough to face Republicans. Clinton will prevail, it is politics and not a ball game.

How clever is Obama or sneaky and calculated. He really know how to use the words, really. That was a direct whack to Hillary but he forgot what his surrogates from Kerry, Daschle, Oprah, Wright, etc…all they practically say he is the only one can save the nation and unite the world…and “just because he is black.”
He is using the race care and see the Presidency and an entitlement deserved by the African Americans at this time.
Obama doesn’t have anything to offer -no record, no experience, no proven leadership at all-, he just have fancy words and was lucky that his political godfathers in Illinois and some barons in Congress pushed his candidacy and raised tons of money.
He is like Michael Jackson’s video “I’m Black” trying to embed himself in multiple faces, color and personalities! Who is the real OBAMA?

Here’s something else that may be contributing to why voters are turning away from Senator Clinton. The Clinton strategists’ kitchen sink rather than issues tactics have reminded voters of a fundamental question:
“If Senator McCain or Senator Obama were married to a spouse who had been publicly disgraced and reprimanded at their work place (impeached), disbarred from practicing their profession (law), and found out to have had multiple adulterous affairs, would either one of them, even for one day, be considered a viable candidate for the Presidency of the United States?”
The above makes the Clinton candidacy, and the campaign’s refusal to look at the reality of her 2nd place finish, appear to be less about their wish to provide a candidate for the good of the country and the Democratic Party and more about today’s Hillary-Bill-Chelsea family full on strategy to stake claim to a Clinton White House dynasty.
Some have worried that if Senator Clinton cannot win this nomination, America may never accept a woman as President. The problem with that doomsday prediction is that there are so many accomplished women in this country who achieved prominence in their careers without the status of a husband’s previous job (President of the United States), help or political connections. America’s first woman president will be elected enthusiastically from among the numerous qualified women whose achievements are their own.
In fact, I am more worried that electing Senator Clinton sets in stone that the only way a woman can be accepted as President is if her husband precedes her with two terms in the Oval Office.

More negativity from Obama, big shocker there. I also hear that he’s blaming Clinton for no revote in MI, when his people are the ones who blocked the legislation.
Each day he proves he’s just another politician.

More personal attacks on Hillary by Saint Obama. What does he know about what Hillary is thinking? Obama can’t even figure out what he himself is thinking. Is this the change we can believe in?

Posted by: macondo | March 27, 2008, 4:22 pm 4:22 pm

I just can’t stand to hear or read anything he says. Talk about thinking someone is owed something! He is so arrogant, he thinks he has manipulated the Wright fiasco just like he has evaded answering other hard questions because he has the media on his side. The pundits last night were saying a lot of the 28% of Clinton supporters who said they would crossover would change their minds in the general, but not this one. It really irritates me how he has embellished and lied about so many things, but these pretty much get pushed aside, and some of his “misspeaks” were just as interesting as the Bosnia one. Since so many Obama supporters want to base their opinion on such an issue, I guess I can be just as irrational and vote McCain….he definitely isn’t my first choice, but he isn’t my last either. At least I can trust him on his patriotism.

Of course Hillary feels she is entitled to be the nominee. She thought she would have this whole thing wrapped up by super tuesday. That’s why she ran out of money. Her whole campaign has been a mess. At least Obama has run a successful campaign. If you can’t run a successful campaign how are you going to run this country.

I’ll say our future is bright, Mr. Obama, because within the next few weeks votes will be counted in Pennsylvania. You’ll lose big and it will serve as a referendum on your campaign where you’ve assaulted daily the character of both Clinton’s. I don’t think the DNC wants a candidate who has to LIMP INTO DENVER.

Obama is the only candidate ready to handle the challenges of bringing this country together. The Clintons want to use smoke screens as a way to divert her lies about being the candidate with more experience. Rev. Wright is not running for president Obama is, and Obama has made it clear what he believes. The time is now for the country to focus on the issues of the economy and the war. HC old school republican tactics should come to an end. HC is willing to divide the party trying to win by any means necessary.

Look at her approval rating. It is down to 37%, just slightly higher than GWB.

A good friend of mine who lives in Texas sent me this.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO KNOW HOW OBAMA “WON” THE TEXAS CAUCUS:
I live in Texas and I attended the caucus. I was undecided until the day before the election when the tactics
of the Obama camp made my decision for me… I voted for Hillary.
I received five calls from the Obama campaign on Monday March 3 asking me who I was supporting. I said I was undecided once. They continued to talk Obama up and told me to vote for him in the primary and the caucus.
I thought “Why not?” So the second time they called, I said I was voting for Obama, again they reminded me to
vote in the primary and caucus.
Then I got tired of all the calls, so the third time they called I told them I was voting for Hillary… (I was actually still undecided)… and they told me the caucus was cancelled. The same thing happened the 4th and 5th time.
People want to say that Obama has run a relatively clean campaign, choosing not to smear Hillary. That might
be the public image, but the calls I received on March 4 showed me the kind of campaign that he is really running..
.a cheating, scheming campaign. Notice that most of the states he has fared well in were caucus states, and these tactics are primarily responsible.
I have a sister in Reno, NV and a cousin in Denver, CO who said that the Obama camp used similar tactics
in their areas. They would actually stand outside of the precinct locations and tell Hillary supporters they were
at the wrong precinct. In my own city, police had to be called to a precinct because Hillary supporters were being threatened by Obama supporters at the caucus. I know that all over Texas, folks from the Obama campaign
were acting as Hillary supporters and taking sign in sheets to the homes of Hillary supporters and telling them
that as long as they signed, they wouldn’t have to attend the precinct. That was not the case, so thousands of
votes were uncounted. They obviously didn’t plan on turning those sheets in anyway. They also had Obama
supporters who wouldn’t be able to go to the caucus sign in, and these votes were snuck in at the precinct
conventions. Even with this cheating going on in my own county – Hillary still carried the caucus votes by more
than 60 percent, showing that voters strongly feel she will be an effective leader. There was a woman I met at the caucus whose daughter goes to school in Iowa. She attended her caucus and was overwhelmed by Obama
supporters acting aggressively and using dirty tactics to scare up votes. Come to find out, most of these people
were not actually citizens of Iowa. In the state of Iowa, you are allowed to register to vote until three hours
before the caucus. What happened was, the Obama campaign was bussing Illinois citizens into neighboring
Iowa and registering them to vote. Thousands of the votes cast in the Iowa caucus were not actually cast by Iowa citizens… and Obama has been running a clean campaign for all this time? Hmm…
Of course, Barack Obama has been cast as the media’s new darling so we don’t hear about all of the behind the scenes cheating that is going on. People need to cast their ballots based on the candidate they feel will do the
best job running the country… not the great orator who will induce women to tears during the State of the Union address. As far as the concept of “change” goes… although I was at one time undecided, I was never really sold
on the whole “change” thing. Anyone can preach about change. You must keep in mind that there is a system of checks and balances and the President alone can’t change everything without the support of Congress. I’ve
always felt that Senator Clinton has a much better opportunity to remold the foundation and change the course
of this country’s history for the better than does Senator Obama. Experience is required to accomodate a better change for all of us.

Posted by: catherine in nm | March 27, 2008, 4:35 pm 4:35 pm

and, Mr. Obama, it’s not Hillary Clinton who implied it was her turn. What you’re hearing is that her supporters – the ones who will cross over to vote for the republican candidate in the general election – have clearly said “It’s her turn”.
Many of us liked what we saw of you back in 2004 at the convention and thought someday he’ll be a candidate worth looking at once he’s gained some experience. It never occurred to us that you, Axelrod and your wife’s game plan was to jump into the 2008 race as soon as you were elected to the US Senate. What arrogance and vanity!

as a black woman, I think it is a shame obama and his “hynchmen & women” think he is entitled to the black vote-without doing anything in return. Obama copies everything Hillary does. He has not presented first one original plan of how he is going to help this country. He is the one who is unamerican- I am more interested in hearing what Hillary will do for the student loan fiasco-than I am about the nothing he is proposing. the race relations will get better when the economic situation is better. and he cannot do anything about that-he only copies Hillary.

Posted by: Navarro | March 27, 2008, 4:40 pm 4:40 pm

Actually, if you would all spend a few minutes and look into Obama’s resume, you will see a recurrent theme: he steals other people’s work and calls it his own for the sole purpose of satisfying his outsized ambitions.
He did it as an Illinois Congressman when he wanted to pad his resume for his run as a state Senator.
He did it again when he wanted to pad his resume when for his run at the US Senate.
And he did it yet again when he wanted to pad his resume for a run at the White House.
Obama stole the title of his book from Rev Wright.
He stole his campaign theme from Deval Patrick.
He stole just about every speech he’s ever given from dozens of people.
He stole legislation written by other lawmakers in the Illinois House.
He stole other lawmaker’s legislation when he was in the Illinois Senate.
He claimed credit for legislation he was never involved in the US Senate.
Obama is an inauthentic fraud.
He stole Hillary’s entire platform and just today he stole her entire economic stimulus plan.
Wake up people.
The last place you want a fraud like Obama is in the White House.

Well if you look at the religious order ‘The Family’ that Senator Clinton belongs to, you would know that they do have a priority of amassing power. I want to know more about this group and it has me concerned. What I have learned so far has been disturbing. It has been largely covered up and the organization is fairly right wing and powerful but so far it has explained many things about Clinton’s campaign and who she is talking to etc.

It is quite obvious that Clinton thinks it is her turn, and that is what has turned me off. Who did she make the deal with the Devil?? We don’t want her, plain and simple — She is devisive, and we cannot believe a word she says — and either she or Rove is behind the “drip, drip, drip of the Wright stuff”, which I might add most Obama supporters don’t want to hear — the politics of old is for Old Men and Crabby Women — it is now time for Politics of the Future — Hillary missed her shot and should have tried to dethrown George — she is more equipped with that kind of fight — the more she fights the worse she looks — and as far as the DNC, you will see the money fill their coffers maybe in small amounts when Obama is the nominee.

Pelosi cannot say ‘vote for the guy with the most delegates’ .
It is not what the super delegates were created for. She contradicted herself earlier when she said they should think for themselves.
This is ridiculously lopsided.
Pelosi : let the ‘will of the voters’ decide -but not Michigan and Florida.
Even if Obama is ahead by ONE delegate. You MUST vote for him.
Facts: The delegate tally
Obama 1413/2654 awarded= 53%
Clinton 1241/2654 awarded= 47%
WOW!!!!!!
What a HUGE majority Obama has!!! The true will of the voters folks.
What an OVERWHELMING cause to vote for Obama !!!!! Whoopie !!!!
By the end of it it will look something like this
Obama 1675 out of 3225
Clinton 1550 out of 3225 pledged
Obama 52%
Clinton 48%
Popular vote?
50.6%
49.4%
According to Pelosi, these numbers are so OVERWHELMING that people would RIOT in the streets ????????????????????
That argument is so weak as to be pathetic.
The liberal media KNOWS all this already, but NEVER puts it in terms of percentages.
No way. It wouldnt help OBAMA.

Hillary is and has been a member of the Methodist church all her life. She is a member of a group of dem and rep. in washington dc. and they get together to have bible study and pray. they are the sponsors of the National Prayer Breakfast.
I know why obama and his supporters must stay on these negative issues. because he is an empty vessel when it comes to the real issues-because he has no clue. Hillary is constantly talking about what she will do for the economy-everybody is listening including obama and his camp and they copy everything she does. that is why people say there is not much difference in their plans-except the difference is she orginated the plans first. He can give a speech but-he stumbles when he is asked a question. the black people who are blindly supporting obama need to go and listen to newt on cspan right now and see how obama is not going to help them.
and I am a lifelong democrat. But I am not a blind follower who has closed my ears also, as many blacks have been asked to do. Just to see a black man in the white house-I want a black man in the white house also-but for all the people who died for us to vote-I want the most qualified black man in office. not just a smile and a suit that owes everybody.

dl: Whats with all that. The reason the superdelegates were created was in reaction to the terrible beating Democrats took in 1972, when they last nominated a far left liberal because of party activist were able to get him nominated. This was to be a check on the populace in order that another McGovern would never happen. The founding fathers did the same thing when they dictated that the state legislatures should select members of the senate and not the masses they gave them the House of Repersentatives. Like in England House of Lords and House of Commons. Thus the superdelegates were to be a saftey valve against the masses whom they feared may nominate someone outside the mainstream. So the superdelegates were not formed to follow the will of the people but to excrise control of them. Whether right or wrong thats why they were created so Nacy Pelosi has it wrong!

Everyone who wants to get a preview of what an Obama presidency might look like should check out today’s N.Y. Times article “Early Dazzle, Then Tough Path for Governor”. It’s about Deval Patrick, from Massachusetts, the Obama/Axelrod stalking horse. He, like Obama, came out of nowhere, talked a lot about “change”, “taking a new direction”. He made the centerpiece of his economic plan – Casino gambling. He couldn’t even get his own Democratic party to get behind this initiative – much less gain support from “accross the aisle” as Obama is fond of. Many of us voted for him and wish today that we could take back our vote. He could never win re-election following his disastrous 14 months in office. That’s probably okay with him though because he seems curiously unengaged these days and spends a lot of time campaigning for his fellow neophyte, Obama.

Posted by: russell | March 27, 2008, 4:58 pm 4:58 pm

Of course Hillary thinks she is entitled to the presidency. Didn’t you get the memo? Obama hit the nail on the head on this one, for the past eight years it has been taken as written in stone that Hillary would be our nominee this year. In polls going back to 2001 she was the name that was always on a theoretical ballot. When Obama came out of nowhere and started energizing the kinds of voters she can’t, IE the educated and the non menopausal, she got mean and turned into Tony Soprano. That woman makes my skin crawl. She is so divisive and disingenious you’d think she is Mitt Romney’s soul mate. And say what you will about Barak Obama being viewed as a saint, apparently the other day James Carvel elevated her to the level of Jesus. I mean if Richardson is Judas… You get the point. Her followers can harp on and on about the poor disenfranchised people in Florida and Michigan but that is a load of crap in its own right. That woman didn’t give a fig about any of us poor disenfranchised people until her back was to the wall and she found she was losing. Hillary and her surogates are a cancer on our party and as long as they go on untreated the’ll end up dooming us all to John McSame.

Posted by: QuestinoEvil | March 27, 2008, 4:59 pm 4:59 pm

I think that Obama ALSO thinks he is entitled to the Presidency even without merit. As much as he and others want to deny it, his race is his only advantage. It’s the novelty of being the first black president is the only thing that stands out – not his policies, judgement, experience, record. His declared populist policies are no different than the next mediocre democrat. He has no radical ideas like Dennis Kucinich. He does not even have any progressive ideas! The only radical issue with him is his support and patronage of a controversial and extremist pastor.

TCG,
Suffice to say it will be a-thumpin’. It will become acutely clear to America that Obama cannot close the deal, Obama will not be able to rely on Ohio. I project that the polls will show that over 40 per cent of Hillary supporters in the Ohio election will abandon the D’s and vote for an R, or sit on their hands come November, if Obama is the candidate. I’m not hoping for that, it’s not about me and you, it really is about prejudices and racial politics, but its prejudices and racial politics that are in the hearts and minds of those D’s in Pennsylvania. Hillary is not stoking those fires, those fires are already there. It’s not a good think in my opinion, but it is what it is. Politics is all about the voter in the end. Nevertheless, I’ll take the win that comes out of there.

Why do you think John Edwards dropped out of the race? Because he was a white boy(of which Obama kept reminding him during the debates). He had no chance against a woman and a BLACK MAN!!!!!
If Obama were white he would of been out of the race by now.
Yeah! So I agree! It is because he is black and just look back to his beginnings in the political arena: Chicago, Jesse Jackson, Farrahkan, Rev. Wright; residence…South Side Of Chicago(Hyde Park/Kennwood neighborhood….home of William Ayers, Bernadine Dorhn, Rev. Wright and the most famous of all…Home of Louis Farrahkan and stronghold neighborhood of Nation of Islam….YES! YES! YES! Farrahkan is Obama’s neighbor.
I live in Chicago, and I know the FACTS!!!
Obama stop dissing the people that got you started; it may come back to haunt you!!!!

WestCoast Messanger, let us be a bit respectful again, please do not bring the discussions too low, it is not helping anybody. Maybe Clintons have chosen their name at birth but Obama could not do that as a simple human being. But remember this: Obama has not called himself the “inevitable”, it is Hillary and her click who as Rihardson said believe that they are entitled to the presidency, like an inheritage between spouses. Hillary cannot and will not be the nominee, the writing is on the wall.God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08

At It Again! According to ABCNews, in a January 2008 speech at the University of South Carolina, Michelle Obama made more anti-American remarks which are making the rounds on the Internet today. Talking about her experience at Princeton where she hung with a largely African-American crowd, she said, “We don’t like being pushed outside of our comfort zones. You know it right here on this campus. You know people sitting at different tables – you all living in different dorms. I was there. You’re not talking to each other, taking advantage that you’re in this diverse community.”
Michelle Obama went on to say “Because sometimes it’s easier to hold on to your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your own ignorance. That’s America! So the challenge for us is are we ready for change?” I’m sure we all know what she’s talking about when she reflects on the comfort many of us feel with those of our specific cultural or ethnic groups. Listen our future First Lady calling American people ignorant. Listen:
She wants to be the First Lady?

Obama’s reference to the Bataan Death March is offensive. He’s counting on the fact that his young supporters have no clue about what he’s talking about. Does that give him license to use such a tragic event to make a lame, self serving statement? If he can’t take the pressure, let him leave the race.

LMAO! Clinton spinners are HI-LA-RI-OUS!!! Are you guys for real? How is what Michelle Obama said unpatriotic? Listen, I also served my country for years and years and can speak from experience that Michelle and Obama epitomize the word “patriot.” The U.S. did not become the great country it is by not questioning the policies of its’ leaders. Get a grip!

Posted by: Jack | March 27, 2008, 5:29 pm 5:29 pm

LOL Let’s TRY to deal with the real issue raised in the remarks. Clinton has shown that she did feel entitled to the point of turning her back on Obama after he announced he was running and now they call Gov. Richardson a “judus” for not supporting her like one should let friendships steer their vote as opposed their feelings of who is best to lead the country. If Mr. Obama was taking a swipe at her, and it looks like he did, then he should not have in my opinion as everyone needs to rise above this and deal with the issues BUT to come on here and post like Clinton feeling entitled is new news? It isn’t.

I believe Obama didn’t want this campaign to be negative. And this is what he’s shown us. It’s like teaching your kids not to fight, try talking it out instead. But with the Clinton machine what to you want him to do. He’s got to fight back otherwise he is viewed as weak.

Posted by: lisa | March 27, 2008, 5:45 pm 5:45 pm

Obama implies lots of things. That’s much easier than straight talk. Harvard did a good job educating him and the Chicago machine did a good job of pushing his candidacy to the front of the pack. But…
Pennsylvania is coming. In a race of gazelles, it is better to be in the middle than the front because the faster you run, the faster you tire. And Obama’s implications are definitely getting tired.

For Michelle to have her hands slapped, she would have to be some kind of child or subject. But the truth is quite the opposite. She is an honest, classy, and well-educated woman. Michelle calls the U.S. on it’s BS and a lot of people can’t stand that. It’s okay, the truth hurts sometimes.
I still think this is a power struggle between two generations. You have the old-white folks on one hand who are reluctant to cede power to a younger generation looking to get past all the racist nonsense in the U.S.

Something has really been bothering me ever since Obama gave his “Wright” speech. Something doesn’t add up, doesn’t make sense. If Obama’s grandmother was so racist, as was implied by Mr. Obama in his speech, how could she have raised a daughter who thought it was OK to fall in love with and have a child with a very dark skinned Kenyan? And if she was so racist, why oh why did she take that half black, half white grandson into her home when he was ten years old and provide him with the best possible education. The picture of Obama with his grandparents, released by his campaign, shows evident love and pride on his grandparents faces. If Obama stretched the truth about his grandmother to make the slanderous remarks of his pastor and mentor more acceptable, he has a lot on his conscience. His grandmother, in Hawaii, may have disliked his father intensely for no other reason than he abandoned his wife and child and offered precious little financial and emotional help through the years. So far we’ve heard no confirmation of Mr. Obama’s account from his grandmother in Hawaii. She may well be an elderly woman who is hurt and confused by what her grandson said about her. As I said, it just doesn’t add up.

Obama supporters acting aggressively and using dirty tactics to scare up votes. Come to find out, most of these people were not actually citizens of Iowa. In the state of Iowa, you are allowed to register to vote until three hours before the caucus. What happened was, the Obama campaign was bussing Illinois citizens into neighboring
Iowa and registering them to vote. Thousands of the votes cast in the Iowa caucus were not actually cast by Iowa citizens…
With all due respect Patricia, I was an Iowa Precinct Captain and nothing you have said about the Iowa caucus vote is true.
Firstly, as a Precinct Capt. for Obama, I introduced myself to all other precinct captain supports and shook their hands – all but one – when I offered the Clinton P.C. my hand, it was not taken.
Secondly, there was no aggressive behaviors of any sort from my staff supporters at our caucus location nor any other caucus location. There were NO reports of Obama supporters misbehaving in any way.
Thirdly, the Illinois folks that showed up by bus – they were OBSERVERS from Senator Obama’s Chicago offices – and before they could enter into a caucus location they had to be identified as such. Once the caucus began, they had to step back behind a special barrier and OBSERVE.
Fourthly, I coached Obama P.C.’s in the Reno area. I spoke with several after the caucuses and they didn’t recount any behaviors on the part of the Obama caucus support staff. Quite the contrary, they reported aggression by the Sen. Clinton supporters.
You should have gotten your facts straight before posting instead of relying on rumors from friends of friends.
I honestly don’t mind seeing differing opinions posted – I actually prefer to consider both sides; but it would appear that most folks are talking just to hear themselves speak and are no more posting for discussion purposes than they are intent on showing the rest of us how ‘ignorant’ they really are about the issues.

Now we see how NBC got the numbers they wanted. This is what they call a purely scientific polling sample. No what they did was cook the books to get the answer they desired. That’s not a scientific poll that’s what you call a push poll, but don’t take my word for it this is how Chuck Todd reported the make up of the poll today in his blog First Read: “The poll was conducted Monday thru Tuesday this week by Hart-McIntoff and surveyed 700 registered voters, which gives the poll a margin of error or +/-3.7%. In addition, we oversampled African Americans in order to get a reliable cross-tab on many of the questions we asked in this poll regarding Sen.Obama’s speech on race and overall response to last week’s Rev. Jeremiah Wright dust up.

I get a laugh out of all these people backing Ms. Clinton. Is this what you want in the white house? Let’s see for a second: Lies at the drop of a hat and gets offended when people call her on it (great for foreign policy, ehhh?)
Let’s go back a little further. Count the number of personalities she has shown in this campaign and then picture a three day summit:
day one: Ms. Clinton is the best friend of whatever ambassador or negotiatior she is with. Promises friendship, co-operation, etc…
day two: Ms Clinton speaks when disagreed with – “Shame on you, Mr. foreign dignitary!” When she doesn’t get her way.
day three: First she lies about what occurred the prior day, says she never offended the dignitary. Then she continues with whatever negotiations were started, disregarding the true fact that the foreign dignitary left the day before when she offended him greatly.
Is this what (note: not who, but what!) you want in the White House?
Now, I’m not a democrat (registered independent). I do normally vote democratic though. If Hillary Clinton wins the nomination I will do everything in my power to support whoever the opponent is that has the best chance of keeping her out of power.
As a side note: All you supporters of Clinton should probably start asking her questions about her association with and participation in “The Family” (her religious affiliation). How is it that this particular little bit of news has never made it into the MSM (main stream media). Is it that the family is powerful enough to frighten them off even? They were certainly happy enough to jump all over Obama’s religion. (For those that don’t know, the family believes in a Jesus that stands for the rich and powerful, not the common person. As a result of this they feel entitled to have their way in government and big business. Could this be the entitlement Ms. Clinton has been feeling? Could they have told her that she is entitled to this Presidency? Anyhow there is a book coming out in May about this organization and I think that if you wonder, as I do, what this organization could be doing and what they are active in that you might want to pick up a copy and read it).

If NBC indeed oversampled African Americans then the sample will be skewed in favor of Obama. How can that ever be called a purely scientific sample. That would not be allowed in a freshman political science project but they call this a scientific poll. If there we more blacks included than whites not randomly but on purpose then how can the results be seen as legitimate? Garbage in Garbage out!

Posted by: russell | March 27, 2008, 6:11 pm 6:11 pm

I know lets do a poll and oversample for whites and see if Hillary does better! I don’t think NBC would like the results. Talk about statistics lying!

Yeah I get a laugh out of all of you Obama idiots who actually think he can win in Novemeber.
A liar is by far more electable than someone who is hated. People who hate will come out and vote against obama whereas if people think Hillary is liar they are less likely to motivate.
Considering that most of the people who would vote on the basis of hate consider most politians liars anyway Hillary Clinton wouldndt do anything to motivate that movement. Obama on the other hand will.

I support Obama. I’d like to see Hillary drop out. That said, if she doesn’t, no biggie. At the end of the day, Obama will still lead in delegates and popular votes, and I’m confident enough of the superdelegates will follow the delegates and popular vote to give him the nomination. Hillary’s efforts until then will just hurt THE PARTY’S chances of victory in November.
Whether I’m right or wrong, Hillary won’t get my vote. I don’t trust her any more than I trust GWB.

But in Novemeber I’m sure that he’ll look bad enough to motivate those who hate to get out and vote. As for myself I have a graduate degree 32 years old well above average income straight white male. TWO WORDS. SWIFT BOAT

Posted by: kelly | March 27, 2008, 6:28 pm 6:28 pm

Well Kelly, may I point out to you some mathematics. Obama is motivating millions of people to vote that never have before. Come the general election those millions of people will have converted some more. I think that, perhaps, that will be more than enough to counteract the ‘hate voters’ and those that only vote in the general election that would vote against Obama. Perhaps you are unaware that a HRC nomination would do more than anything else to vitalize and reinvigorate the Republicans to getting out the vote. To vote ‘AGAINST HRC’ they want her nowhere near the office. If Obama is the nominee than many of those same voters will NOT go out to vote against the democratic candidate. For that matter many of them have been switching parties (not just for a primary such as in Ohio) in order to vote for Obama. The numbers don’t lie, neither the numbers in the current primary (popular vote, delegate count, number of states, etc…) nor the numbers of newly registered democrats as well as switched independents and republicans, nor the numbers of republicans that have stated that they might or might not vote UNLESS HRC is the democratic nominee. I congratulate you for supporting the underdog but wonder why you want to sink the democratic party once and for all.

Quite to the contrary of Barack Obama’s statement, he and many others believe it is HIS turn and HIS right to be President.
Every time the possibility of superdelegates selecting the Democratic nominee comes up, the threat of rioting, burning and violence surfaces among Obama supporters.
Perhaps Barack Obama’s view of a “typical white person” leads him to believe that Senator Clinton is more deserving of the nomination than he is.
Or, perhaps Jeremiah Wright is guiding Barack Obama on how people, specifically superdelegates, behave in a country that God has damned.
More likely, Barack Obama’s latest strategy of belittling Senator Clinton represents elitist views formed as a result of the influence of Tony Rezko.

Over sampling does not mean that more Blacks were represented in the final numbers. It means that extra sampling was done of the Black population to analysis the numbers of that population as it compared to the larger sample. Any addition sampling of blacks would have to be at the sample rate they were represented in the larger sample.

Well, it has seemed to me that Obama and Michelle think they are entitled to the whitehouse or presidency since they have and the african american people have been victimized for so long by thier country. This is the rhetoric I am getting from the community, they feel it is thier time and america owes them. No matter how thin his resume is or how his legislative records are missing and such.

Who is on the defensive? Obama is the one continualy explaining to the media how he feels about his pastor. Hillary clinton said she goofed on bosnia and moved on. She understands politics.
There is no reason to be on the defensive for Hillary Clinton. she won states that ofer the most superdelagates. If in August at the convention they determine that the supers must vote along with the will of the people then Hillary clintoin will have more supers. Including Bill richardson, Kerry and kennedy.

I think I hurt someones feeling here today. Truth hurts. Hillary Will break some hearts but that’s politics.

Obama’s lack of judgement in reference to his lunatic pastor is a tidal wave that is eclipsing and sinking BOTH Democrats and the Democratic Party.

Kelly,
Those remarks about Senator Clinton are disrespectful. She is the former First Lady and a Senator and there is no need for you to be reffering to her that way.

Obama’s vision is to bring people together….Yes, he just nearly brought half of Dems together…
Obama’s hope for change: yes the change of owner of W.H. to his name but will be surronding by the same old politicans (Kerry, Ted, etc — SOSO
His plans are simply written by his diligent advisers and his job is just to read them to public…
His experiences – sorry = almost ZERO on national security, foriegn policies, trade, economy, healthcare, social security, immigration reform….
Anything esle, probably that is all about him…

Get over she lied and she’ll tell some more Obama has lierd too. difference is between Hillary Clinton and Obama Hillary Clintonb doesn’t have to use that as her entire campaign. If that is the best you have to complaiun about you have nothing. Nobody cares if she lied. Nobody cares that Obama or John Mccain lie. Politicians do that. Business men do it. If you want to vote for someone honest go join the knighs of columbus and do your voting there because you obviously don’t know what is going on in washington.

Interesting Mr. Obama says this. Is he expressing what he is feeling about his candidacy? His surrogates and media buddies seem to be indicating that he is entitled the Oval Office more than Mrs. Clinton or for that matter, Mr. McCain, by giving an “extreme makeover” to a flawed candidate. Not to imply that the other candidates are not flawed, but at least they are not given this makeover so one might know “what we see is what we get”.
Perhaps, it is better not have any election and hand over the office to Mr. Obama for the first term at least. Then, perhaps we can move on to a post-racial era where “guilt” “bargain” and “entitlements” will be things of the past.

Find me a politician who hasn’t lied and I’ve got ocean front property in Arizona I’ll sell you.. Hillary clinton is still most qualified.

Posted by: kelly | March 27, 2008, 7:27 pm 7:27 pm

I care when people lie. I care when a politician tells voters in Ohio I never supported NAFTA, and now we discover that it was a lie–Ohio voters sure got bamboozled!! I care when someone tells me a whopper about being shot at–then it is discovered it never happened. I think a lot of American’s care. Why? Because it speaks to a total lack of moral compass. I care when 4,000 Americans are now dead, because she didn’t have the backbone to vote her conscience. The difference in Hillary and Bill? Bill was a better liar, but even he got caught sometimes.

Kelly: you just hang in there with Hillary.
Try reading “The Clinton Criminal Page”
Your refusal to read tells us all a lot about you.
Remember that my vote for Obama will nullify yours.

Posted by: Ron | March 27, 2008, 7:36 pm 7:36 pm

I’m not saying that it is morally right. I am saying that you or even GOD can takes lies out of politics.
So why bother trying. Didn’t Obama tell some lies too? do you think he is that innocent? I’ll bet John Mccain has told a few over the years. How about all of the loan officers who wrote the subprime loans and told their clients they were fixed rates when they were really adjustable. This is a pure example of the pot calling the kettel black. Everyone lies. given the chance a lot of people steal too. It doesn’t weaken a perceived public image as much as being affiliated with a hate group does.

Posted by: kelly | March 27, 2008, 7:37 pm 7:37 pm

I’m not refusing to read anything. I just don’t care what you say. It’s an ignorant argument. It’s a red herring to the issues that are really importnant. And if I have said it once I have said it a thousand times that Obama is not electable in Novemeber.

Chelsea, remind your dad that he aboused an intern much younger than you in the respectful Oval Office. And he lied to Americans about it under oath. Vince Foster was murdered, and your mom was found carrying his papers in the middle of the night. Clintons should be grateful that this country is so nice to them and has not put them in jail for all their crimes!!!

Posted by: kelly | March 27, 2008, 7:41 pm 7:41 pm

Obama could commit murder and his supporters still would think highly of this man. We have all heard his lies
but the democratic party would rather loses the base to get the young.
That means they will lose a good part of their funding. To bad they party always picks losers, Dean, Gore, Kerry

I agree, America has been too good to the criminal Clintons!!! At least, if not for all 55+ crimes, for a few of them, surely they should have been in jail. Then Hillary would not be causing all these damage to the democratic party. If you let loose a monster, this is what you get. Lock her up. McCain 08!

There is another message in Obama’s statement, that Clinton thinks it’s her turn. The other hidden message is that Obama has never been open to accepting the likelihood that a strong candidate under the Democratic Party, with sound policy would claim the White House.
The stalwarts of the Democratic Party should have seen this coming?
Party division that is avoidable will always occur anytime you have the following factors.
A candidate who leading up to / and at the start of the process, who is very strong, exhibits sound policy and demonstrated the political acumen for a timely run. Couple this with a candidate who maintains many of the above but lacks the political acumen for a timely run.
Obama is following the script of Kennedy – Carter. You have to believe that he was either unaware of this or chose to ignore it.
Obama wants and will get the party to follow the rules and restrict the votes from Mi and Fl. He will maintain this position even though the current race is so close that both candidates require those votes to put them over the top. When this issue is off the table he will want the party to ignore the rules and lock the super delegates into the will of the people. The same people he wanted the party to shut out on the Mi./ Fl. Issue.
There is a common thread in all these issues.
There are those who claim the party division is due to the rancorous fight. I believe they are wrong. The division stems directly from the fact that these two candidates are extremely popular. Their supports are passionate and it’s not likely that either candidate will be able to carry the required amount of support over to the other.
The answer to Obama’s statement that “Clinton thinks it’s her turn” may be more that Obama never really accepted reality. In 2008 the planets and stars were already in line for the Party. Sometimes there is a candidate that while not perfect is at a level that requires party unity. I’d point to the division to make the case that Clinton was indeed at this level prior to Obama making his run.
The shame is that most of the party stalwarts are allowing this to happen.
Would you reward Kennedy for running even if you though he was a better candidate then Carter? If the answer is yes, does such a reward not strike a blow to the core of party politics that it just simply demonstrates the need for independent candidates.

No, Obama thinks it is his turn, and that is time for a black man to be President since there has never been one. Its why he keeps on playing the race card. Hillary actually has a platform and has policies, Obama just waits until she delivers hers, then copies it. But, pshaw! His is the “let the good times roll” Dr. Feelgood platform, isn’t it? He certainly wouldn’t disparage his opponent, he takes the high road, right? This man is so disgusting that they would have to invent a new word to describe it.

Well, it is sort of like when you are waiting for someone to back out of a parking place after you have waited patiently, then some guy in a fancy little sports car comes zipping into the space from the other direction before you can even get your foot on the gas.
Hillary did announce first. I cannot believe no one else saw this coming when Obama annouced a few days later. If the Democrats have superdelegates vote for the person with the most pledged delegates then what is the point of superdelegates??? Obviously it doesn’t take 800 of them to break a tie in that case. However, there should be a legitimate function for superdelegates to examine all of the facets of a complex election process and in the case of two almost evenly popular candidates, superdelegates should use their best intelligence and choose the best candiate to stand against the opposition, all foreseeable things taken into account.

How much you wanna bet this whole primary and caucus system gets revamped because of what is happening. And the super delegates need to choose now. I don’t understand what they are waiting for. Are they afraid of some sort of backlash from the other canidate.

He is inexperienced, arrogant, racist, supports shady/anti-American people (Ayers, Rezko), displays extremely poor judgment, can’t stand the heat if someone disagrees with him, etc. …….All of his supporters are has beens who couldn’t get elected—Dodd, Kerry, Kennedy, Richardson, etc. The only good thing if he gets nominated is seeing him humiliated once he loses by a landslide! There are 10 more Primaries still left to go. Why should the voters in those Primaries not have their say? Is your vote more important than theirs? If you don’t let all of the voters vote, what is the point of Primaries? In that scenario the DNC should just forget Primaries and select their candidate for November and we all take it or leave it. This is not over yet..Don’t forget the voters in Florida and Michigan. Let the candidates duke it out and may the strongest one survive and win in November.

Obama being someone who compared to Hillary-Just arrived on the National scene-talking about wanting a change, and he can heal all the ills of our society, and he is a uniter who is above the mudslinging-he is doing a pretty good job and mudslinging, he is all talk. and yet on issues that concern us the american people-all he does is copy Hillary-If he is elected he will just be the black geo bush. because he does not know what he is doing. and I am sad that my black brother and sister are voting for and defending him-they do not know him-and every few days we are all having a little egg rubbed on our face-because of some of the things we are finding out about him. and I do not think hillary should get out of the race any more than I think he should get the nomination with florida and michigan voting. and this bit I lay at Deans door. He wants obama to win-and he will do everything he can to try and make that happen. you didn’t see or hear any of this kind of mess going on when Terry Mc. was the head of the DNC. People keep saying Hillary is trying to steal the nomination-or feels she is entitled-I say it is obama and his crew who are trying to do this. We know fox is for mccain-but cnn and msnbc are clearly pulling for Obama. everyone knows hillary brings out her plans first and then obama copies. and that is a fact-go check it

He can have all the endorsements in the world-but in the end he has to show us he can think on his feet and be able to articulate a plan for helping the us.
he cannot even out speak Hillary during a debate. He has not produced an orginal plan to help us yet. she is always the first to put a plan out. and what does cnn do. They say their plans are similar and they show his speech first today. but she gave a speech earlier this week. and has been speaking to the economy all along. Early on in the campaign hillary gave a speech on the economy-and turned right around and took questions from the audience. That shows me when she talks about what to do for the economy-she knows what she is talking about. and that is what we need in a president. anyone can practice and give a good speech-but can that person just talk with you off the cuff about issues and how to solve them-I have see hillary answer a question from a reporter about the economy-and tell where the current govt. went wrong-and then said what she would do about it.
black brother and sister-don’t be forced to give your vote away to obama just because he is black. adn white people don’t be guilted into voting for him. Just hold your nose and vote for hillary.-she is the smarter of the two and that is just what we need

I understand Obama wants to win but I wondered what he stands for. He seems to be defined more by what he is against. He is against Washington. He is against Hillary Clinton. He is against Bill Clinton. He is against the voters in Mi and Fl. He is against the super delegates. He is against falling in behind a strong candidate from day one. When the Democratic Party figures out they’ve left solid ground for a bird in the bush, it may be too late. You have to wonder why the elders in the party would spin the wheel. Clinton is easy to read. She is kind of like a Churchill who offers nothing but more then the blood sweat and tears speech. In the future the party may be defined more as a desultory body continually in search of green pastures.

Gee, Clinton supporters are just threatening not to support the Democratic nominee in the event we feel her opponent, his supporters and a faction within the DNC are attempting to sideline her campaign before the remaining contests are held. Obama supporters, on the other hand, are threatening riots in the street, if their candidate isn’t anointed. So much for bringing people together.

Obama is mentored by Pastor Wright.
This is very scary.

Posted by: JT | March 27, 2008, 11:24 pm 11:24 pm

first of all-she has more experience that obama simple because she has been doing public service longer than obama-
second-during her public service she has been paying attention-helping to investigate and formulate policy-she has been a member of many think-tanks that work to discover why we have a certain social problem and how to solve it. not to mention the service she has had as first lady of arkansas, and first lady of this country. and she was giving the teas and conducting tours and other first lady duties, but she did a lot more-and this was noted while she was in the white house by the news media when they were all in awe of the clintons-and she runs circles around obama and mccain on discussing solutions for the issues that affect us today. The clintons are human beings just like the rest of us. and I think so many of people who run these people down are just jealous because they are so smart and can talk about the issues. now what gets me is as women we should identify with what she is trying to do and be pulling for her-because we have all been there. But here is a woman at the top of her game in her chosen profession-and she is fighting hard to just try to help american who need help-now many of you it does not matter who is in the white house-but for the poor and middle class people-you should want a smart articulate woman in there working for these people-Hillary knows what to do for this economy-yes we need racial unity-as I said as a black woman what I need more right now is someone who know what to do about this economy
mccain doe not. obama copies hillary.
and some of you well off people should be wanting someone in there that knows what to do with this economy too. because if she can help get jobs for some of the out of work people especially the young, that will be one less young person that is going to rob or break into your house. simple because they feel they have no other choice. Let Hillary get this country back up and running again.
and as far as race relations go
Obama and his handlers axelrod, bradley, kerry, dean, kennedy and others
they all remind me of the people of the late 60 and I am (53 this year) when I was a girl-they had black people come into the neighborhood and start progams and the community suffered because of mismanagement-and incompetence. and that is what we have now with obama and 1970′s style slick empty vessel politician who is all talk.
Obama said he was not ready to be president-but the handlers put him up as the spoiler for hillary.
If he had not entered the race Hillary would be campaigning against mccain right now and she would be winning.because she has the answers and he doe not.
Dean is a obama supporter also-and he does not know what he is doing
this is how much he & co. wanted to spoil it for the democratic party;
Why would you let a woman and a black person run for president in the same year. two groups of people who had to fight so hard to get the vote.
all they could see was trying to beat hillary-gotta beat hillary
what they didn’t see was this mess they have created.
If hillary-the smartest one is not nominated-yes she will lose and she will go back to doing the good work she has always done for americans
if obama wins-the country loses
if mccain wins-the country loses
a win for hillary now is a win for the country.
hillary is fighting for the poor and working class people of american
obama is copying and talking about it.
and don’t worry about obama supporters rioting because he didn’t win.
hillary will put them to work and they will be fine.
the people who are voting blindly for obama will riot if he wins and they do not get anything from him-for giving him their vote.
but the sad thing is-he has not promised them anything.

I wonder how much of this infighting on these blogs is being created by Rep undermining? It seems that there are quite a few hate filled remarks from people who have never and will never meet. Just calm it down and discuss what is important.
The nation – not if your team wins! Vote for who you want and hopefully you win, but if not then continue with the person who fits closest to your views – regardless of party or affiliation. We have to right the ship and soon or we’ll all be owned by China soon.
Anyone want to discuss:
The War
The Economy
Healthcare
Education
Everything else is just fodder.
Read each person’s plan, their viewpoints, and what they’ve accomplished in their entire lives not just while they were dependent on voters. Disregard their pastor’s, husband, and wives as we all know they aren’t who will be making the final decisions. The media is just using these outside forces to keep their blogs moving for more advertising profits. Know who is really playing the games and how selective they are in directing these arguments for their own revenue.

When the Clinton administration left, there was a $250 billion surplus. Now, there’s almost a $3 trillion deficit.
The military has been so depleted by this war. We’re spending $343 million dollars a day to build roads in Iraq and we’re not spending money on the projects that are so important.
And who can solve that problem – Hillary!

Obama has more years of elected office and is inspiring. Hillary was publicly humiliated by her shameless husband. TO some that sounds about even.

The clear thing from this post is that most Americans can’t sustain an intelligent conversation. Woman, Wright, Black Guy, Ugly – this is the stuff you’d expect to come from a grade school compound. Perhaps a lot of grown up kids are running around the cyberworld. China will be on top by 2050.

There is no such thing as “turns” as if being the President is a game or some “entitlement” as Gov. Richardson put it. Hillary is constantly claiming Obama lacks of experience, but he has been an elected official longer than her. I beleive Obama will make mistakes just like All the other Presidents before him, but at least his intelligence will keep those at a minimum. Hillary is just strange.

Wow i agree with ‘soup’ this blog is out of control it should take no more than one posting per article to get your view put forward…. God all mighty where is Walter Cronkit or Edward R. Murrow when you need them, way to much talk about old retired Black preachers and Bosnia head gear worn by first ladies…. have Obama or Clinton ever done anything worth while? or Mccain for that matter. Probably. According to most of the post i am reading they either have horns growing out of their heads or maybe they hide angelic wings… do all 3 of these candidates love their Country?? Yes of Course they do!! i don’t think they would be honored with secret service protection if the didn’t… you take a lot of crap and risk when running for top office and lets forget about whose turn it is to be President its nobody’s turn. Its the ‘peoples turn’ to choose some one to represent us to the world and each other lets not waste our freedom of speech on a bunch of hype and Jerry Springer nonsense, lets find out what’s good about these people and what they may do or not do as Commander and Chief.

obama says he’s sure by november we’ll all be united – he means behind him. dream on, obama. the polls tell you otherwise, but you choose not to believe them. you are wrong.
spoken by a lifelong dem, who’s voted straight dem ticket for 4 decades. will now vote mccain. (and obamaites, don’t waste your breath calling me names for my opinion – i’ve seen the hateful blogs already. y’all never heard of democracy? we’re all entitled to vote how we choose).

I would not be among Democratic voters, if it were not for Senator Obama. It is not that it would be sour grapes for me to refuse to vote for Senator Clinton, if she were to manage to hack the nomination. I would never have voted for her under any circumstances. Senator Clinton’s only qualification to be in this race is ruthless ambition. The Party and the country would be better served if she ended her scorched-earth policy tomorrow, but that is outside the parameters of her machine politician’s mind. H.C. is not going to win the nomination , but she can succeed at damaging the Democratic Party’s best hope for victory. Given her proclivities, she might steal the nomination with lawyer tricks. that would hand-carry the election to the Republicans for four more years of McBush. What are the ‘leaders” of the Democratic Party thinking to allow Hillary Clinton and her multiple -personality campaign to continue derailing the future of the party? This is like comedy central for Karl Rove…. “Look Ma no hands… I can get the Democrats to perform dirty tricks on themselves.” Too bad that this dumb show comes at a time when our country is in such desperate need of leadership.

Elijah 112668, thank you very much for this hysterical article. I laughed at it, but I was also angry because these people have nothing better to do than write this sort of trash. I have been married for 5 1/2 years, and my husband and I argue often, sometimes every day. We argue about little childish things, like why didn’t we go to see a movie. We got married when I was 21 and he was 19.5 (he turned 20, 4 months after we got married). All marriages are different. We are both working on estanlishing high powered careers and that’s why fights between us occur more often. Come on, let’s be honest with each other, all couples have their share of fights. It’s all part of life. Hillary and Bill love each other very much, and I am very angry and surprised how so many voters are saying that Hillary stayed with Bill after Monica scandal just because she wanted to become President. I find it very ridiculous and solely based on jealousy. Why can’t we be happy with what we have? If my husband would have cheated on me, I would forgive him too. It might be different for you, but let’s stop judging other people based on their own choices in life.

Obama cannot win in November. Lifelong Dems I poll in FL will never vote for him. Another 4 years of Republicans. I am ticked at the DNC – Floridians – the people of the state – never chose to have the primary early so our vote wouldn’t count. Politicians decided this and now the people pay! If FL and MI votes were counted, Obama would be gone by now.
Disgusted

Nothing is owed to Obama not even the senate seat he has and got by playing dirty pool to the woman that was running against him. The public is not aware of the dirty tricks he can pool because he plays the goody goody two shoes person but has a background of wheeling and dealing with Rezko. I agree with the superdelegates stand maybe that’s how we can get rid of him.

I looked at the political positions of all three candidates. I didn’t like any of them but disliked McCain’s the least. Obama and Clinton have identical platforms. I looked at personality and didn’t like any of them. I looked at ethics and while McCain is far from perfect he’s less undesirable than Obama or Clinton. I looked at age, McCain is too old and Obama is too young. I looked at experience, McCain has much more than the other two put together. I looked at military record McCain has one, the other two don’t.
After all that I looked at border security and the illegal alien problem. I thought about what the American citizens want and what the politicians are willing to give us. The only conclusion that I could come up with was that the democracy our parents supposedly knew no longer exists. Does it really matter who we vote for or has it already been decided?

The thing I most intensely dislike about Hillary is her sense of entitlement that the presidency is owed to her, and her fierce competitiveness combined with long-held ambitions to be the first woman president. I would love to elect a woman president, but just not her. I dislike her intensely. If she becomes the nominee, I don’t think I will be able to vote for her, even though I am have been a registered Democrat for 30 years.

Paul-DC: The media classify’s Obama as being black but he is not black or white he is Mulatto. That is the name for children from black and white marriages. Even though they don’t use it anymore it still exists. How could he be called black when he is half white. The media needs to get more educated on black people. Obama would love to be 100% black. I read some of his statements in his book Dreams of His Father and he was very racial at that time. I can see why he belonged to a racist church. He fits right in. I don’t know why he wrote a book like that when he barely knew who his father was. His father didn’t have dreams for him, his father was busy with three more marriages in Kenya.

Obama wants to win because not only does he want to make history he wants control of this country. I hope the superdelegates do what they said they would do and block his nomination. This country isn’t ready for him, maybe 10 years from now. He shouldn’t even be a senator since he played dirty pool to win. He is bad news all the way around and the white people of this country better wake up or we are going into a disaster if he is elected. His pastor was stopped in a hurry so if he is not the nominee and there are riots this country will take care of that fast.

Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | March 28, 2008, 10:52 am 10:52 am

Give me a beak. If anyone thinks that the presidency is owed to him, it’s Obama. His handlers have been grooming him for this ever since they cleared the ballot for his first term state senate “win” in Illinois. Fluffing up his legislative “wins” all in the last year of his second state senate term in Illinois. Those bills he takes credit for, were primarily fought for years by Democrats other than him in the legislature. Please, Senator Obama didn’t even do the job he’s already been elected to as a US Senator. Why does he think he’s earned the right to be president now? Senator Clinton on the other hand, is respected as one of the hardest working Senators on the Hill. Respected by both Democrats and Republicans. She’s running for President on her years of hard work. Obama is running on a propped up record… Just words do not a Commander in Chief make.

Posted by: iguanasaiz | March 28, 2008, 11:04 am 11:04 am

Marianne Pepitone (and others)– who are you to know for a fact that Obama wants control of this country. And how do you know that the time is not right for the USA to have a “black” president? the point is that Mr. Obama represents the new “post-babyboom generation” perspective on America. All you babyboomers out there. You have had your chances at electing presidents, and you also had your direct influence in the shaping of America. Now it comes to the younger generation to set a new course for America. Mr. Obama is quite simply one of the sharpest, smartest and hippest individuals we have ever had running for the oval office. He reminds me of John F. Kennedy because of his style and grace and mannerism.
Hilary on the contrary, along with her daughter, whom I cannot stand, is all about “I deserve it.” Why does she deserve the presidency? After all, she and her spouse are flat out liars. the whole family for that matter is composed of liars. I am certain that even Hilary was behind Bill Clinton lying about Monica Lewinsky. All you Hilary supporters out there: look deep into her eyes and into her soul, and you will find a trouble, frustrated little girl, who probably grew up in a world of constant lying and constant frustrations for not “getting the guy,” for not “getting the A’s” when she deserved them, and for not becoming the “class president” or something along those lines. The woman is all about lies and frustrations. She is so upset right now; she cannot believe that a negro, a black man, an African-American (partially) is beating her. Obama has “it,” and Hilary does not.

as a black woman, i too want a black president in the white house before I die.but I want one in whom everyone can see and have no doubt-that person is the most qualified of all the candidates. obama is not that person.
Hillary runs cirlces around obama and mccain when it comes to the issues.
You obama supporters may not need better healtcare-or have a concern about educating your children. well I do
and I have looked at all the plans (well mccain does not have one yet) but obama copied hillary. and Hillary is the only one speaking to and has a plan
I just heard on cnn a lady in ohio was talking about losing her job and needing cobra ins. and the reporter asked another are any of the candidates speaking to this economy problem and the other reporter said NO. will that is a lie. Hillary has been speaking to wwhat she will do to get this country up and running again. While obama was first marred in the rev. wright fiasco, Hillary gave a speech and answered questions about the economy and foreign affairs. the tv reports are biased. I suggest you get your news from the bbc-maybe they haven’t been tainted yet. Hillary has told what she is going to do for the economy and how she will pay for it. stop with the I will not vote for her because of bill and monica.
Vote for her because it is going to be in your best interest to do so. Hold your nose and vote for Hillary-in the next four years your wallet will thank you for it…

Obama wouldn’t have enough delegates to win the nomination either, remember? Also remember how the general elections work – we don’t elect Presidents in November based on state-primaries or popular vote. It’s the Electoral College. What looks like entitlement to me is, someone who decided to run for President, even though he hasn’t completed his first Senate term, and even though he and all of his handlers knew that it would fragment the Democratic party. He should have waited HIS TURN for the good of the party and the good of the Country. Instead, we now see that he and his supporters are trying to strong-arm her and ruin her career, because she is inconveniently standing in the way of his ambitions. Just think about how he refers to Senator Clinton at times (as does the media who adore him) – they say “The Clintons”. Everything with this guy is a soft spin with the impact of a bunker-buster. The kool-aid drinkers will wake up soon and remember that nobody rises so far, so fast, in American politics without playing dirty.

It’s obvious that she feels like it’s her turn and that he’s encroaching on what she is entitled to. It’s been clear to me since the beginning that she resents him having the nerve to run and challenge what she sees as rightfully hers. Obama is simply stating the obvious here.

What give Obama the idea that he should be president. He hasn’t been around long enough to get the experience and knowledge to run this country. Hillary and McCain can throw rings around him when it comes to intelligence. Obama wouldn’t know what to do from day one. His pep talk copied speeches has the white and black people fooled. But I am no way fooled by him. I can read him like a book without the cover. He uses some of Hillary’s words in a round about way and other president’s. He has the nerve to campaign for president of this country and attending a racist church for 20 years. But it shouldn’t surprise me, he was a racist as a young boy and it is in his book. He did not like the white people and yet the white people are dumb enough and I mean dumb, to vote for him. They should vote for their own race like the blacks vote for Obama. And knowing his pastor was anti-american they shouldn’t vote for him at all.

I have been a democrat for a long time
but if Obama is the nomienee in November
I will not vote at all- Obama is not following the script of Kinnedy or Carter he is following Bushes script-he is also arrogant.
I think he should have a swit made of red, white and blue.Whats with all the flags be hind him every time he talk to a group.
What has Obama done to deserve to be Presedent? does Obama think that he is entitle to be President because he is half black. If Clinton drops out of the race and Obama wins— it will not unite the democratic party or the Country. But it will put McCan in the white house.

Well, let’s see how racist we can get. It’s no wonder other countries are sitting back and laughing at us. If this is the sort of rhetoric Stella & Mariann Pepitone are taking into the voting booth, I can only say this country is headed for more strife and grief. So much for the “Great American Melting Pot” our beautiful country stands for. Word of advice ladies: pick your candidate for the issues they stand for and leave the racist crap out of it; the country doesn’t need it. Meanwhile, cooler and far more calmer and “maturer” heads (independent/democratic/republican)will let the politics sort itslef out (minus all the media hoopla you two seem to buy in to and get worked up over…on BOTH candidates)…and make our decision in November.

Well at least ‘Salad’ read my post and didn’t get caught in this web of destruction. Maybe that’s what’s wrong with our country – we’re so hellbent on being right we can’t see when we are wrong. People put away the guns, drop the slanders, stop the bickering – your pride isn’t at stake here. This is an election where we are to debate topics – nothing more. You are being spun and it’s not by the other candidates. It’s by the media and by dishonest blogging. Stop and do your own research. Don’t let Wolf or someone else tell you what to think. That item on your head is useful for something other than a megaphone. Use it and we’ll become a better society – NO MATTER WHO WINS. We have the power to tell THEM what we want. We have the power to HAVE our country back. This isn’t about who is the figure head at the moment it’s about us and what we can do. If we’re always berating one another we’ll never see past ANY OF THEIR LIES. And yes they all have them just like I would if I were in that type of spotlight. Close your mouths, open your ears, and your mind will follow. Be smart and stop acting like we’re in elementary school.
You know what – Screw it you can have this sinking ship I’m off to somewhere were I can make my own choices and have a better life. The elite class has succeeded in creating a country of self-righteous dupes who will destroy each other to the THEIR way. Look around you what are we fighting about? This is like arguing over the toilet seat placement – WORTHLESS. I can only say this – today I am ashamed to be even remotely involved with our society. Now before you say I’m anti-american think about the EXACT wording I used. I am for what the country stands for as a Democracy. I believe in Equality for EVERYONE. I believe in the Constitution. I believe in Free Markets. I don’t believe in destroying anyone to “get mine” or make my point. Nor do I believe that anyone else should be undermining me with that type of action. Our society is destroying itself with our actions. Please Please stop this nonsense before we self implode.

I don’t know if American’s problems are based on too much education. I remember the founding fathers of this nation saying, “You don’t have to be a scholar, a doctor, teacher, e.t.c” to become a president of this great nation. That all that is required is a heart full of love. I am simply saying that anyone of us can be the president of the USA as long as we know for a fact that we are all created equal in the site of God, and that what ever is good for Mr. A, should be good also for Mr. B, and vice versa. The issue of experience on Sen. Hilary’s part is baseless the fact is that she has no pure judgment when it comes to making decisions, her judgment is clouded by the needs coming from the lobbyist sponsoring her campaign as long as she has those ties she can not lift America out of this mess. Obama on the other hand has made decision that mattered most to you and I, stopping the members of the house from eating free meals at the expense of our birthright, and making well know to us that the war in Iraq will use up our social security savings and make indebted to the rest of the world. To me that is pure judgment, that is well thought of. Please people open your eyes and see the truth and not the experience. Sen. Hilary is a pure politician, while Obama has our interest at heart.

One more thing: the position of President is NOT an entitlement, want it though they may. It is a position of willing servitude. The President of The United States is in the service of the People of The United States, not the other way around. It is the highest honor to be elected to that position, but lest these politicans forget ( and to often the people forget as well), it is a position that can also be taken away. That McCain, Clinton, and Obama wish to be “hired” for that position is noble. BUT IT AIN’T ENTITLED TO ANYONE! I don’t care who you are. So I say again: get off the Enquire-style crack the media’s been putting in the Kool-Aid and talk about the issues. Vote for who you want WITHOUT the name calling and hateful negativity because if you don’t, the ground your party sits on (with it’s renewed enthusiasm to get more of its constituents engaged in politics again) won’t be able to grow another thing for a decade, so irradiated it will be. We Independents will be watching.

Obama is one of those ultra liberals that believes in receiving something for nothing. He is simply not ready to be president and yes Hillary has earned it.

Posted by: Arthur Villarreal | March 28, 2008, 2:29 pm 2:29 pm

Damn right it’s Hillary’s turn to be President …. because she is the most qualified person TODAY. This country is in a complex mess right now — economic recession, declinding education standards, shattered foreign relations, and a failing war. Obama is completely unqualified TODAY to do anything except insire people through rhetroic … and at the end of the day, though, what does this rhetoric accomplish? How does inspiring people change the economy? or repair foreign relations? or decrease costs in the health care system? It does NOT. What works is hard, tenacious fighting … and we all know from the past few weeks that Hillary Clinton is a hard-nosed, tenacious fighter (no one can dispute that). You may not want to go out for a beer with her and call her your ‘pal’ …. but I’d rather have Hillary in the White House answering that phone at 3 am (while I’m out drinking beer with my pal Obama)! Besides, there is NO doubt that with Hillary as the nominee, Barack Obama will be her running mate (it’s her logical choice). We get Hillary today, and Barack Obama will gain 8 years of experience to earn HIS turn at the presidency (when he is ready) in 2016. By then, Hillary will have cleaned up all these messes, and Barack can take us to a higher level of unification and peace. Think about it, people …. killer democratic presidents from 2008 to 2024. What a wonderful world ….

the more obama opens his mouth and has to backtrack on first one thing and then another-clearly shows he only has HIS and his handlers interest at heart.
When critizing Hillary I wish obama supporters would start their sentences off: saying-He should win because his plan for (you fill in the issue) is this or that.
But you can’t because he has to wait until hillary puts out her plan.
because he only copies hillary
Hillary is smarter than Obama. she has a good command of the issues-and he stumbles when asked a question about the issues. He only has his own interest at heart.

I really get a kick out of reading all of you bickering back and forth. You all sound like a bunch of elementary school kids….and “bullies”, at that. No wonder the world is in such bad shape, with all this “hatred” from people like you all. What ever happened to “love one another”? I guess this is what happens when you take religion out of schools…you see how you act. The terrorists said we would destroy ourselves from “within”…it is definitely happening. Sit back, read and listen to all the previous comments. Where does all this “hatred” come from? Some of you need to read your bible and “cool down”. This is just an election……not the end of the world! But the way all you “fuss and carry on”…then maybe it is???? I will pray for you all…..you definitely need someone to. God Bless You all….you need it.

Where have you people been?..
Are you paying attention or just listening to your local news outlets.
Bill & Hillary Clinton attended jeremiah wright’s church and even invited him to the white house do some research and see what i’m talking about.
What do you mean when one states it’s not his turn?.. I thought that anyone over 35 can run for the presidency? And as far as Mr. Obama not being qualified what has Hillary done during her 8 yrs. iIn the white house?.. She had no say in policy or did she veto any policies that came across bill’s desk?… Did she sit-in at high level meetings?.. i think not… People pay attention do not let the media dupe you.. I actually like Hillary and had a chance to meet her and Bill here in NY last year but i ddon’t think she is the one.. Mr. Obama has new ideas and i’m sure he’ll assemble an administration that will be top shelf and all he has to do is make major decisions like that FOOL that we have in office now and what Bill did during his reign it’s not the presidency…IT’s the PEOPLE THAT HE CHOOSES to be apart of his team that will help him lead this country out of the shame and hate that BUSH has put us in. We are HATED around the world because of this man and all he is thinking about is his OIL BUDDIES that have a major stake on what’s going on in this crazy world that’s why we are in IRAN.. Once Again.. I’ll Ask are you paying attention!

hey everyone…what make Hillary qualified?

Posted by: cindy | March 28, 2008, 4:02 pm 4:02 pm

and he is insulting my black people also, he and crew have convienced the black community-a vote for him will make their lot better. it will not. He will owe so many people positions and favors because-when you do not know much or anything you have to rely on the kindness of others. and that is what he has had to do.
—–jgaw
I strongly disagree. I do think that anyone should give their vote away blindly. Everyone should choose who will be the very best candidate for them. I am black and am a very strong Barack supporter. First of all there is no one who has or will ever run for President that does not owe people a favor. (The Clintons are still paying off favors from ’92 and racking up more as we speak) I support Barack because it fills my heart with joy to know that a man names Barack Obama could be our next commander-in-chief. I am voting for Barack because He inspires me to be a better American, a better man, and a better father. I will vote for Barack because when he talks, I beleive him. (I dare you to say that about Hillary with a straight face). I will vote for Barack becasue I feel we deserve a leader that wants to make our union more perferct, rather than to make their friends richer or get them out of jail. I will vote for Barack because i want the world to respect us again. I will vote for Barack becasue he is the right man for the job.
I find it insulting that you don’t think your “black people” are smart enough to vote for him on his own merits.
BTW—Black people have been voting for white people since we earned the right to vote. A black man comes along that has a legit shot at the highest office in the land and we should be achamed to vote for him? You sipped too much of that Clinton Kool-Aid.

If Hillary is running based on experience; what makes her think that she can win that agruement against McCain?

Obama says: “For those of you who are just weary of the primary, and feeling kind of ground down or that it’s like a Bataan death march, I just want everybody to know that the future is bright.”
Oh poor Barack. You must be exhausted. All those fund-raising dinners, that private plane, that pesky crowd of minions at hand ready to grant your every wish and see to your every comfort?
Self-absorbed, whiny little snot – you just lost the votes of The Greatest Generation — and their children.
Didn’t they teach history in any of your schools?

SOME THESE PEOPLE SEEM TO BE BLIND OR DEAF TO THE OBVIOUS FACT THAT HILARY CLINTON IS THE ONLY GUILTY PARTY HERE, AND STOP CONDEMNING OBAMA, WHO HAPPENS TO BE FOUND GUILTY THROUGH ASSOCCIATION (I AM TALKING ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH A PASTOR WHO, DUE TO THE NATURE OF HIS PROFESSION, KNOWS LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE, INCLUDING BILL CLINTON. NOW, ARE THEY ALL GUILTY? ARE THEY ALL UNPATRIOTIC? ARE THESE ARGUMENTS AGAINST OBAMA REALLY ABOUT TRUTH AND TRUTHFULNESS, OR IS THERE SOMETHING MORE DEEP-SEATED CLOUDING SOME PEOPLE’S JUDGEMENTS? IN ALL HONESTY, WHICH ONE IS MORE DANGEROUS? HILARY OR OBAMA? HOW MANY MORE LIES, OR “MIS-SPOKE” INCCIDENTS, SHOULD COME TO LIGHT BEFORE PEOPLE BEGIN TO WAKE UP FROM THEIR STUPORE AND REALIZE THAT HILARY CLINTON WOULD DO ANYTHING, INCLUDING TEARING APART THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND POLARIZING OUR PEOPLE, TO GET HERSELF ELECTED (BY THE WAY, THIS IS NOT ABOUT HER MIXING UP THE EVENTS. SHE NEVER FACED SNIPER FIRE, PERIOD. HOWEVER, SHE BROUGHT IT UP SEVERAL TIMES. IF THAT IS NOT A LIE, THEN, I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS). SHE RATIFIED NAFTA AND NEVER MENTIONED IT WHILE CAMPAIGNING IN OHIO. SHE HAS REFUSED TO RELEASE SOME DOCUMENTS WHICH COULD QUESTION HER CLAIMS REGARDING HER”EXPERIENCE”. SHE SUPPORTED THE INVASION OF IRAQ. SHE HARDLY MENTIONS ANYTHING ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE, WHICH, BY THE WAY, AFFECTS MORE AND MORE PEOPLE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. SHE LIES ABOUT HER ”EXPERIENCE”. SHE SIMPLY PLAYS THE FEAR AND THE ECONOMY GAME, BECAUSE SHE KINOWS THAT ONCE THE FOOD ON THE TABLE BEGINS TO SHRINK, SOME PEOPLE FAIL TO SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE. IT IS NOT THE MEDIA THAT DISTORT THE FACTS, RATHER, IT IS THE DIRE SHORTAGE OF TRUTH IN HILARY CLINTON’ STATMENTS WHICH SHOULD BE EXAMINED. The White House needs no more of the politics of the same ol’ same ol’, the governance of those anachronistic politicians, with their divisive policy of fear and deception. As a white university professor, I, along with my children and grandchildren, am honored and privileged to be part of this great history in the making. Now, will America rise to the occasion and embrace this great change and truly unite, showing the world that ONLY in America this can happen, and that it really is the land of the free? Or, will those whose better judgement is clouded by petty prejudices and misconceptions continue the divisive tradition of ‘Us’ and ‘Them’, propagated by those politicians who firmly believe in their politics of divide and rule?

The question is this:
Which candidate would you trust with the “nuke button” when becoming
President?
Think about the access to such power?
Think about changes that could affect the US?
Visiting permits, green cards, residential permits could be issued
for a different set of foreigners that could greatly impact our
lives?
Think about being “gagged” and becoming a police state not being
allowed to speak out about anything, good bye freedom of speech!
Think about your economy and jobs and “unexpected” changes that could
have a huge impact on them.
Think about “free-fall” that unpredictable wind of “change” can bring
you……
And then go and vote sensibly. PLEASE.
For the good of all. Please don’t vote in someon who could
potentially turn our lives into a nightmare.

The presidency is not like the throne of England. No one is in line for the Presidency based on their relationship
their to a powerful ex-president. After
Bush, hopefully we would elect the best person for the job and not the most connected. So yes it is nobody’s turn
but that of the most energetic, most intelligent, most truthful (that leaves out the sniper story teller), most likely to take the USA to new heights and end the war in Iraq (that leaves out wobbly resurrected dead man walking,McCain) which is benefiting Iran, most unlikely to raise any taxes and has a sound economic plan.

Please, people, don’t vote for McCain even if your candidate doesn’t make it. This is not like the election of 1960, 1984 or even 1992. Do you really hate the other candidate so much that you’re willing to throw this country away to a third term for Bush? McCain will be that third term. More war, more deficits, more recession. Please do as Hillary said, think about this decision. McCain is the wrong decision for this country. I plan to vote Democratic, even if my candidate doesn’t win. Either one would make an excellent president. I just wish they could be on the same ticket, but that doesn’t look too likely now. If you doubt that McCain would be bad for this country, look at what his response was last April when asked what we were going to do about Iran. He said, “It’s like that old Beach Boys song, Bomb Iran. Bomb-bomb-bomb…” Even if he meant it as a joke, that’s not a joke a presidential candidate should make.

Who chose Obama anyway? He doesn’t have the popular vote anyway as they claim because he won a few caucus votes when in fact the voters of the caucus states did not get the opportunity to vote; therefore, how on earth do you all think Obama is the winner with the most popular votes. I learned to count in 2nd grade, add in 3rd grade, and this just does not add up. Ann

If Hillary is qualified by living in the White House for 8-years while Bill was President then the Democrats should be running Monica. She has more experience in the Oval Office then Hillary.

Please people have some respect for
President Obama and secretary of story
telling Clinton.

I would love to see a Hillary, Monica ticket. I mean, why not? Monica has almost the same experience in white house as Hillary..may be more! We would have the most experienced people as the commander in cheif and the deputy!

What’s with Obama and his love of republicans. Hi likens his foreign policy to the elder Bush and Reagan and then JFK. He wants to put republicans in his cabinet and is thinking of a non democrat for the VP. I am a democrat, I want the WH staffed with democrats and the VP to be a democrat. If we are going to have a WH full of republicans I will vote for McCain. At least at his age he will be a one-termer then Hillary can run again in 4 years like Gore should have in 2004.

Did you ever read these and wonder how so many people could be so ignorant of the facts. For some reason, at least 75% of the high school dropouts post on this blog!

Mr. Obama must think it’s HIS TURN to be president. Why else would he walk into the Senate one day and start campaigning the next????
It’s arrogant that anyone with such a slim resume would even have the nerve to run! As others have said, put lipstick and a wig on him, and he’d be NOWHERE where he is in this race!!!

Its great to see the liers are having a field day and claiming the presdiency of USA as matter of entitlement. Both Bill and Hill are first class liers. Bill was caught after doing the job and Hill is caught before starting the job.
Why are you forgetting now chelsea has got sufficient experiece for campaigning and living in the white house. NOW she can JUDGE who will be a better President between the two .
Americans are being taken for a ride with such candidates who have no morality left, imagine showing the world that a perpetual lier can be the President ofAmerica. When thousands of soldiers have dies she is talking about passing thru sniperfire. Its shameful. you have no moral right to stand for the no 1 office of the great country and be C in C on theday one who is insulting the soldiers in Bosnia as if they were not doing their job.
JUst SHUT her out.
