Well Jim, see, your not watching channels you don't agree with, has kept you a little out of the loop. Right before Obama made his speech, he did an exclusive interview on Fox News, (much as I dislike them I watched )and was asked point blank if he ever heard these kinds of statements in the pews and said no. Also said he would have left the church if he had heard the types of statements being aired at the time. There were things he said and contradicted in the speech and later, but that's not even the issue. Though I doubt you really want to hear what the issue is, but it does involve him being a hypocrite.

For anyone supporting Hillary to say they would vote for McCain in the general election is a total laugh. If this was a different year, you all would be for Obama. If Bill wasn't married to her, he woould be right by Obama. Many of Clinton's own people have said that if not for their loyalty to the Clinton's for previous favors or whatever, they would love to be working on Obama's campaign. He is exactly the candidate most dems want, and his beliefs and positions are right down the line with Hillary, withstanding Hillary's blunder of voting for the war. As soon as Hillary is out, you all will wake up and realize this guy is a great president, and he will completely and radically change the world's view of US as currently shaped by Bush, and will create a completely revolutionary feeling of pride and inclusion domestically. I have no problem with the blind and aggressive loyalty to your candidate, but wake up. Once this is over (most likely with Obama winning) you will have the candidate you have been waiting for since 92 if not longer.

Jim,
Obama lied. He said a few days before he gave his race speech that he never heard his pastor's hate sermons. When he gave his race speech he said he did. While the Wright story was making news he quietly said he had more of a relationship with Renzo than he previously said that he had and that he donated more money to him that he had said he didn't before.

Lord, it just kills me every time I read an Obama supporter swearing that all the anti-Obama posts just HAVE to be closet Republicans. Like Democrats can't actually abhor the man. Don't you guys read the polls? 29% of Hillary's supporters will vote for McCain if Obama is awarded the nomination. We are not Republicans that are being polled, we are Democrats being polled. We however, are not Democratic Ideologues, we are Democratic leaning. I'm a registered Democrat, have been for 33 years. I GENERALLY vote Democrat, but I have voted in my home state for a republican by the name of John Warner. Why? Because he has been good to and for the state. I will vote for who I think is the better candidate for this country. Hillary is that person, but if I am forced to choose between McCain and Obama, I choose McCain. And there are millions of us Democrats who feel the same way. Its a matter of who we trust our country to, and we don't trust Barack Obama. Its not just Rezko, its not just Wright, its not just NAFTA-GATE,its not his condescending arrogance in the form of "typical white person", its the totality of everything that makes him unacceptable. Add to that our disdain for his smugness, his conceit, his arrogance, his diatribes against Hillary Clinton, his disrespect for Hillary Clinton and you Obama supporters disrespect for Hillary Clinton and her supporters, and you've got the perfect recipe for voting Republican this year if he wins the nomination. And don't preach party unity here. You Obama supporters have also said you will sit home this November if Hillary wins the nomination, so for you to ask us now to fall in line and support Obama for the nomination, is like the pot calling the kettle black. You won't support Hillary, we won't support Obama. Its no different that your own stands against Hillary.

I love Obama's sense of humor--How long has it been since America had a president with a sense of humor? Definitely not much to smile about in the last 7 years--Obama will be a breath of fresh air. End the war, work on the economy, health care, etc. America can gain back some of the lost credibility of the last 7 years under the worst president to ever "rule" this nation. There is an extremely small chance that Hillary could actually win--Her own advisors say 10%--If some of you folks want to stay until the closing credits of the movie...fine. Just don't vote for the scary movie coming in November--McBush the war monger.

I can tell you one thing Hillary did in the Senate....
IRAQ vote: YES
And what she said on NAFTA before: YES
NAFTA now: ohhh no, never liked it (LIAR!!)
(Kinda like John Kerry's "I voted FOR it before I voted against it")

All y'all saying Obama lies are grasping at straws.
His pastor said offensive things. Obama never did.
Hillary LIED. Not her pastor. Hillary lied: caught on tape, 3 times.
Hillary: face the facts: you are behind on
Popular vote
Delegates
Credibility gap polls by Gallup
Daily polls by Gallup
Polls vs McCain by Gallup
States won
Money (though you get big donors: they're dried up)
and most important: TIME
Hillary: you are only soiling your own chances for 2016 right now. We'll get soooo much Hillary's lies in the next 3 months that she'll never have a chance, in November, 2008, or 2012, or 2016....by then you'll be just as old as McCain is now.

This whole "Can you tell me a single thing Obama has done as senator" argument is lame. The truth is, nobody knows much of what ANY senator has done. Does anybody know what Joe Biden has done, I mean besides being on the Armed Services Committee? What legislation has he passed? What are his signature achievements? Maybe someone can go to his wikpedia page and get this info, but nobody really can talk with any knowledge about ANYTHING the man has done in the senate without outside help. And Biden's been in the senate for a few decades now. Someone the other day asked me this very question about Obama and I named a few things he'd voted on and the fact that he and Lugar sponsored a bill to safeguard conventional weapons around the world. Then I asked them what Hillary's signature achievements as a sentaor are and they couldn't tell me a single one. The truth is, all senators are legislative enigmas.
