You’re Not Going to Believe This, But…

The New York Daily News reports that today, New York’s new governor, David Paterson and his wife Michelle "acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago. In the course of several interviews in the past few days, Paterson said he maintained a relationship for two or three years with ‘a woman other than my wife,’ beginning in 1999…"

It goes on from there. But I’m tired and turning away.

Is this a joke!!!What can you say I’ve been married twenty six years and have never never never been with anyone. I am sure there are alot of faithful people to thier Vows. I think people of power are put in temptaion it has to be much harder to stay faithful when people admire you.

Okay, let’s just embrace the fact that we Democrats are lovers not fighters. I guess……

Is this really a ploy to have the next guy in line take the govenor spot in hopes of getting appointed a senate seat (assuming that can win the nomination and the general election)?
I guess he’s taken some lessons from his predecessor and Senator Obama–get the dirty laundry aired out early and often!

Paterson is lucky that having an open marriage will only prove an asset in New York. Sex, drugs and radical ministers used to be a problem in politics.
I guess we are getting into the “new politics”….Hang on to your seats it’s going to be a bumpy ride into November.

While it’s full of irony, their situation is very common. I think they should be commended for patching things up after everything they endured in their marriage. I think it takes more character to work through that then it would have if they had gotten divorced.

what’s up with the post about racism?? aannnywhoo.. im a hillary supporter but originally a biden and dodd supporter. I also like Obama but think he is unelectable now, and i want hillary to give the republicans a thrashing. but biden and dodd have done far more things than hilllary ever did. i dont like hillary personally, but i want her to win precisely because she is a tough and vicious person. The reason i trust she will give them a thrashing is because she has in the past, played dirty politics and won every time. She sent private investigators after all the women her husband had an affair with, and threatened them to silence with blackmail. she played dirty politics behind the scenes in her husbands’ gubernatorial elections, as well as bill’s presidential election. But she learned how to WIN, and all i care about this year is a democrat in the white house. but that idea that hillary is accomplished more than all the candidates, especially mccain… well you need to check your facts.

SadState,
Why the long post about racism?
Katya,
I’m anti-Hillary for all the reasons you mentioned. Winning at all costs completely misses the point. And don’t be so quick to write off Obama…he’s still more likable than Hillary.

The lesson we learned from Sen. Obama and Mr. Wright is that Racism is okay if you are a black man and especially if you are a black Senator. This United States is heading to a serious downfall. Downfall is what the enemy of the United States is praying for. Isn’t that what Wright has been preaching Sen. Obama for the last 20 years? If he is elected, God knows what comes next. I am really scared!

We live in a country where people have screw my wife parties, orgies, swinger parties. Men sleep with other Men.
In the age of HIV, people are still having unprotected sex. All our kids see on TV is sex, sex, sex.
But we get appalled and disgusted that married couples have affairs. We are such a self-righteous nation of hypocrites

Well, well, the plot thickens in Albany.Just curious(yellow?)how the Lt. Gov. just happens to be in position to erase one super-delegate from Sen.Clintons’column now that Spitzer is out of the picture. What is really SPECIAL(as the Church Lady used to say)is how the Gov.”select” has not been asked WHAT HE KNEW AND WHEN by the Atty.Gen. or Fourth Estate -and for the Grand Prize ,Dave shares an affinity for the Exotic!
