Clinton Reminded About Husband’s Affair in North Carolina
ABC News’ Eloise Harper writes: Sen. Hillary Clinton was posed with an awkward comment from an audience member as she took questions Friday evening in Winston Salem, N.C. A woman stood up and said, “Hillary, I love you. I always have and I always will. I felt so sorry for you when Bill had his affair.”
The audience reacted with noise and chatter, while Clinton reached for her glass of water and took a big gulp. “I believe now that the best way to overcome it is to become president,” she said.
The woman then asked Clinton who she would pick as her running mate. Clinton ignored the first part of what the woman said – and then answered that it was premature to speak about a running mate. The subject of her husband’s affair has never been posed to the senator in this manner before.
Clinton shared the stage with Maya Angelou, who praised Clinton – and acknowledged that her daughter supports Sen. Barack Obama but voiced her own support for the former first lady. Clinton reminisced on stage about their long friendship, and her admiration of Angelou’s work.
Angelou read a tribute at the conclusion of the rally that she had written for Clinton and said she wanted Clinton to think about this when the polls or people say one thing or another about her and ask her why she doesn’t give up. Angelou read, “You may write me down in history with your bitter twisted lies, you may tread me in the very dirt but still like dust, I’ll rise. This is not the first time you have seen Hillary Clinton seemingly at her wit’s end. But she is always risen, always risen. Don’t forget she has much to the dismay of her adversaries and to the delight of her friends risen.” Clinton gave Angelou a big hug after the prose and the meeting.
Clinton will return to North Carolina soon, as Angelou announced. The senator, however, will be spending all her time from now until April 22 in Pennsylvania focusing her efforts there.

I’m not a Hillary supporter but… how horrid for her to have to respond to such an ignorant statement. Maybe the woman in the audience really does love Hillary but her lack of common sense and tact is just appalling.

Maya Angelou is a great woman and so is Senator Clinton. I am grateful to them both for all the good things they have done in the world.

Like so much else, history is topical. Senator Clinton knows that. She made her peace on this subject a long time ago, so other than wounding her, it isn’t going to get much reaction from her.
On the other hand, I am very impressed with Maya Angelou’s continuing support for her. It says much about both of them.
Say NEXT With Shrugs. :-)

“You may write me down in history with your bitter twisted lies, you may tread me in the very dirt but still like dust, I’ll rise.”
So well put. Hillary has been attacked with such bitterness and such twisted lies. But so often in our nation’s history, those who later go on to accomplish truly great things must first overcome huge obstacles placed in their way. The degree to which she is being tested and survived shows the caliber of this extraordinary person and the great things she will accomplish as our president.

I second it. TWO brilliant and classy women. Obama giving Hillary the finger at two different rallies in North Carolina speak to his deep character flaws.

Posted by: bk | April 18, 2008, 11:30 pm 11:30 pm
I’m not only NOT a Hillary supporter, I blasted her earlier today on another blog for something she said.
But that said, I have to agree with Saramee… I’m saddened, DISGUSTED, to see Hillary have to face these kinds of comments. There are a lot of things that are legitimate points to criticize Hillary (and all of the candidates) on, but come on people, don’t keep throwing that in her face. And anyway, she handled that difficult time with such grace!
Maya Angelou is just beautiful to her very core. Woman to woman, again putting politics aside, Hillary is blessed to have such an intelligent, strong supporter like Maya in her corner.

Oh, wah, Obama, frontrunner, doesn’t like to be in the mud or answer questions. What a crybaby. NOT what we need for a president.
Posted by: al | April 18, 2008, 11:33 pm 11:33 pm
For once at a debate, Obama as the frontrunner, is given some tough questions. And Obama is trotting out his sob squad. “It was a rough debate”, “this was the old politics”, so terribly unfair. “I’ll just brush it off.” Clearly, Obama’s strategists decided early on that instead of answering any tough questions they would just have him respond, “that’s just the old politics”. It’s extremely clever as a reflexive way to dodge any accountibility for what you say or what you do. Didn’t we just live for 8 years with a president who thought he was above the law and above accountability. Why in the world would we want to submit to that kind of style leadership again??

Its not like the woman is braindead for cripes sake. Women want to know about these things and how else do you find out how to deal with them unless you ask? Who would be more equipped to answer such a question? For instance a psych or a woman who was under the stress and pressure of being the wife of the man who was running an entire country? Truthfully why don’t they dig up all of the dirt about everybody? Wouldn’t it be more honest to be so than to hide trash behind a “goody goody 2 shoes” smile?

What a pile of irrelevant, meaningless opinions.
Maya Angelou was asked to read one of her poems at the Clintons inaugural in 1993. A huge honor at the time for Maya who asked us to “Lift up your faces, you have a piercing need For this bright morning dawning for you”.
Unfortunately, instead of giving “birth to the dream”, the Clintons gave us a nightmare. Now Hillary wants to fan the sparks beneath the trash heap of our greatest national embarassment.
Poor Maya Angelou. In return for standing up at our marriage to the Clintons, she forever must suffer an asterisk due to her indelible association with these two.
Still, Ms. Angelou will forever be blessed and know for her art, her deep commitment to civil rights, and one of our greatest poets.
The powerful tools of Bill’s presidency provided Hillary a political version of the vanity press. The Clintons will carry this curse in perpetuity.
Maya! Don’t let these sociopaths use you and your reputation any longer.

I just love to read Obama supporters comments. Most of the people who support Obama can’t name 5 bills he has passed in the Senate, nor can they really tell you too much about his record. It also makes me laugh to read people say that Republicans are attracted to him, because its Ironic that he is the most Liberal Senator in the Senate today. If you think McCain is going to be easy to beat, you better think again folks. I live here in Florida, yes, the state that Barack Obama has basically said he doesnt care about. I see more and more McCain signs going up in peoples yards every single day and more bumper stickers. I don’t see too many Obama signs and bumper stickers. I do see a lot of Hillary Bumper stickers though. I just find it funny that Obama supporters don’t look at the bigger picture: Obama does not win the Florida Primary, and he does not win Ohio’s Primary, starting to see a pattern here? Look at the electoral map. We have to either win Ohio or Florida to get the electoral votes to win the White House. Seeing how Obama wants to ignore the voters of Florida, I can’t vote for him, and I am a Democrat. I’m telling you, Hillary Clinton is the Democrat to beat John McCain. Obama is a great talker, just wait until McCain gets his hands on Obama. Its going to get ugly folks, and I am afraid to say, McCain will probably be our next President. Republicans that can vote in Democratic Primaries did not vote for Obama because they like him, they voted for him because they know they can beat him, it does not take a rocket scientist to realize that. For me, its Hillary or McCain, I will never vote for someone who does not want my vote to count, and no one will ever change my mind.

Her treatment of the White House Travel Dept. was horrible. From the movie MIB -After K makes a comment about “when you grow up,” James responds by slyly rubbing his forehead with his middle finger exposed.
Obama used a scene from MIB to flip Clinton the bird as Will Smith did to Tommy Lee Jones. The black audience recognized the reference.

In January 1995, Hillary Clinton said of the working class white southerners “Screw em, you don’t owe them a thing, Bill. They’re doing nothing for you; you don’t owe them anything”. Now that she needs the white working class vote, she wants you to believe she has this larger than life concern for you. They will tell you anything to get your vote-but what is said (thought to be out of hearing range), in the comfort of their own company…therein lies the truth.

Frat boy indeed. I am not surprised that MSNBC (the Obama network) hasn’t made sensational headlines about that. If Bill Clinton had done that, he would have been blasted-and probably called racist at the same time. The FCC should do something about how much the so called talking heads can swoon over Obama. I am “well educated” and make more than $50,000 a year. I can tell you what Hillary Clinton would offer as President. I find it rather silly for people to vote or not vote for a candidate based on their spouse or urban legend trivia. When I ask people why they support Obama, I hear “he’ll bring change” or “I don’t like Hillary”. My, what some people consider critical in their decision making. I am continually amazed at Hillary’s depth of understanding of the issues. Obama spent one year in the Senate before announcing his aspiration for the Presidency. He has come along way by parroting Clinton. Problem is, what will he do when he has to think for himself and doesn’t have other candidates to copy? Oh yeah, that’s what his advisors would do. He is arrogant and petulant when anyone dares ask questions that don’t allow him to go on about how right he was on Iraq when he admitted at the time of the vote on Iraq that he didn’t know how he would vote. Obama, time to grow a pair.

I applaud the questions that ABC posed to BO & Hillary. What matters most in a candidate is their character and patriotism, and questions to that effect have been asked since the beginning of this race. Charlie & George did very well in “trying” to get them answered, but between BO’s Ah’s and ‘You know’ they were not answered AGAIN!! Besides Kerry’s questions on patritism I cannot think of another candidates’ hint of non-patritism. Think we may have waited too late in these primaries to get a ‘close-up’ of BO, but I hope not and would urge all voters to vote for Hillary for the Democratic nominee.

Washington media establishment, the same people who brought us Iraq war, wants Sen. Obama to be the Democratic nominee; they have been dictating that to the whole country from the beginning and I know it would be a big mistake! I am sure the Republicans are going to make Rev. Wright his running-mate in the fall. Not having won even one major state during the primaries and having manipulated the caucuses with small groups of zealots, but now not in play for the presidential election, Sen. Obama is going to find himself stuck! After the Rezko and Wright scandals Sen. Obama is far more vulnerable to Republican attacks and his diminished debate performance adds to his troubles. The coming primaries are going to demonstrate that fact. Remember, old Ralph is in the game too. If Sen. Obama is the Democratic Party nominee, that will be end of story for Democrats. With all due respect for Sen. Obama, I don’t think he can win without the support of working class and rural American voters, Latinos and older Americans. African Americans and young liberal city voters have never won presidential elections for the Democrats. The best chance of winning the White House for the Democrats is still with Sen. Hillary Clinton.

hey mellissa have you ever read the communist manifesto i’ll bet obama has ,and thats the problem with his constant association with ultra far left he has always gone towards people with that thinking and it brings into question what his core beleifs really are.its really easy to learn a script ask any actor and i think obama is a good actor just not as potus.

I am a woman from NC. with an advanced degree and a decent paying job. I was appalled when I saw the speech that Obama gave here in which he flipped off Hillary, and it wasn’t just in one speech. For those of you who believe that it was merely a mindless gesture, you are sadly mistaken. Everyone in that audience knew exactly what he was doing and what his meaning was, and I am ashamed that my fellow North Carolinians fell for it. His immaturity, lack of experience, and his inability to lead have always been visible, but his supporters have been blinded by his God like aura. Be careful about putting people so high up on pedistals, when they fall, and he will fall, it will be a thud heard around the world.

Hillary Supporters,
This particular quote from Maya Angelou is worthy of commemoration as a turning point in the Hillary Clinton campaign. I’m going to end this thread myself, out of great respect for what has been said. If an Obama supporter reads that message and still wants to tell twisted lies today, I will let it stand for what it is. Maya Angelou called it right.

How becoming president would make her overcome Bill’s infidelity? shouldn’t her religious belief have helped her forgive and stay in her marriage? No it’s her selfish mad desire for power that drives her then. This confirms my belief that it was only for her political ambition that she stayed in her marriage, believing that america has forgiven Bill for the shame he brought to the white house and this nation;therefore he will be part of the prize. But you failed to realize one thing Hillary it’s hard to forgive, but forgetting is a whole different matter.

The ABC news questioners in the debate did a shameful job. Its OK to ask tough questions, but who cares about dumb questions about your flag lapel pin, a neighbor, Ayers, who has a strong opinion but has nothing to do with Obama, or a dumb question like; “Does your pastor love America as much as you do?” How would Obama know and who cares anyway. What a waste of time. Can we hear candidates comments on real issues please? ABC should be ashamed.

Remember she keep hitting at Obama about being able to choose your Pastor but not being able to choose your Family. Now justify Hillary why you stayed with your sorry husband ,she could have left and walked away like she say Obama could have walked away from that church. She didn’t instead she called all these Pastors including Obama’s to the White House to pray for her sorry husband. Don’t throw stones unless you are prepared to have them thrown back at you. She has not learned that lesson yet, that’s why she needs to be running against another woman to remind her.

Hey jack SnyGuy — Did you even watch the debate? Obama DID get asked questions on “Real Issues.” Problem was, he couldn’t handle those either. So what’s your “Real” beef? When you were in school did you plagiarize book reports, lie to your folks about who your friends were? Come home with something expensive and then lie about how you’d gotten it? Maybe? I think a lot of people look up to Obama because they thinks he’s like THEM but a president needs to be somebody BETTER than we are, not somebody you’d want to get high with — besides we went through that with GWB, didn’t we?

Barack Obama recently told CNN, “We’ve been very measured in terms of how we talk about Senator Clinton.” MEASURED?? He and his campaign have called Hillary calculating, polarizing, divisive, dishonest, secretive, disingenuous and untrustworthy. So who’s using the Republican playbook?
Posted by: DMK | April 19, 2008, 1:17 pm 1:17 pm
I am neither a Democrat or Republican, I am an Independent and I was very disppointed in the format of the debate the other nite. I felt as though Obama was set up to be AMBUSED. That’s exactly what it was, an ambush. Even though, I felt the questions during the first 45-50 minutes were ridiculous and trivia, I could have tolerated it better if the questioning was more balanced. But instead, it was lopsided and very unbalanced. Why wasn’t Hillary questioned about the recent fiasco in her camp, regarding the staff person that worked for the Columbian government and was pushing a proposal contrary to her position on trade? Why wasn’t she asked about the difference in opinion between she and her husband on trade and how she would reconcile this difference of opinion if she became president? Instead, they thought it was more important to the American people to know if Obama’s past pastor was as patriotic as he and why didn’t he wear a flag pin? American people are smarter than this and I feel want to get away from this type of gutter, negative, silly politics. I know I’m tired of it, which is the reason, I changed my party affiliation a few years ago from Democrat to Independent. Shame on Gibson & Stephanopoulos.

Distressing comment; relationships can be extremely complex, but I am not sure this subject is totally out of line. Obama was blasted for having a long term relationship with Wright and Hillary criticized his judgement –”how could he stay in such a church — I would have left”. How does this square with her decision to stay with a philandering spouse, especially one carrying on in such reprehensible ways right in the oval office. So far, everyone has been gracious and respectful enough not to ask.

Americans and Obama supporters should get over President Clinton’s affair. The bottom line, Sen. Hillary Clinton showed strength when she protected her daughter and then desided her family was worth saving.
Sen. Clinton is not responsible for her husbands mistakes. She has supported her husbands career (e.g., NAFTA) even though overall she was against it. But as a wife, First Lady Clinton helped her husband and President as millions of other wives have during history.
What America should be concerned with is recent alligations reported on CNN that Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign committee members have been going on the internet and attacking the average American comments. But then Americans know that Sen. Obama believes that he is not responsible for the actions of his campaign committee.
Finally, Americans should wonder about any man that goes on national TV and attacks a woman calling her names. Obama ‘Annie Oakley’ comments that attacked American’s first noted female hero (i.e., Oakley), reflects the Senator from Illinois elitist attitude. Then Obama references working woman and Clinton as not being able to make lemonade and cookies for thier family. I guess Obama thinks his wife is failing him and his daughters because she works.
One’s actions tell it all! Doesn’t it?

There isn’t a single person writing on this blog who hasn’t dumped, been dumped, flirted, cheated, (if only in mind) imagined another man/woman or talked about another man/woman in their lives. If you haven’t you have to be 6 years old. 40% of all marriages fail in America. Somebody done some some wrong somewhere. And 40% of all live together relationships break up for one problem or another.

I watched the full conversation between Maya Angelou and Hillary, and it was incredibly moving. It captures why I am such a passionate Hillary supporter: she is compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent and innovative in her understanding of complex issues, and yes, sincere. Quite the opposite of the distorted media image of her. Seeing these two powerful and groundbreaking women together was profound. Sadly, the headline that many outlets choose to feature is this one clumsy question from the audience. This accurately reflects the difference between Hillary’s focus and the mentality of the mainstream “conversation.”

Some form of questioning about Hillary’s stance on the Lewinsky affair may be legitimate – scorn and revenge are not good motivations for Presidential candidates.
If her candidacy is the result of some form of pact with Bill to make everything nice again, that doesn’t exactly bode well for our future as a nation.
Certainly she should not be pilloried, but to ignore the issue completely might not be the best way to go.

I wish voters would quit the personal attacks and stick to the issues; I happen to be a supporter of HRC but can listen to BHO without wanting to become an attack dog for my chosen candidate. Democrats need to wake up and smell the coffee. Since I would venture to guess that none of us know these people personally, all we can do is look at their records/lack thereof and make our decisions accordingly.
Change is wonderful, but what do we change to – we need to be very careful with the rherotic and mindful of how many serious issues we have facing our country. Instead of attacking the personalities of these people let us try to find out where they really stand on the issues (the infrastructure, affordable health care for all Americans, decent jobs, public schools that educate and enlighten, real religious freedom, the environment, etc). Let’s grow up folks and start to respect each other; we all have a right to our own opinions, but we don’t need to be abusive and nasty.
Remember, the world is watching!!!

hillary clinton, who was always one of my favorite political persons until she started her bid for the presidency. i always thought she was a strong woman but never imagined she was a wicked woman as some have been saying all the time. she and her husband bill seem to think that african americans owe them something. they did what they should have done when he was in office; therefore we owe them no more than they owe us. they are surprisingly being seen as they really are, opportunist who will stoop to any degrading level to get what they want. and to think i once said that i wished bill clinton could run for a third term so i could vote for him again. i still think he was the best president of my time but with a wife like hillary, no wonder he cheated. she thinks obama should have left his church; then why didn’t she leave her husband as many said she should have. i personally think she shouldn’t have but apparently she thinks differently when it comes to other people. shame on cbs news for what they called a debate. that was no debate it was an ambush and obama fought it off.

Is that why Obama won’t wear the American flag on his lapel? I don’t think we want that in the White House. No substance to his call for CHANGE!! This would not be profound news to cover, if all the people, news people, noteworthy people, or even all the people on this blog were asked similar questions. We are all so high and mighty moral that we love to see what happens to others–not us. Who are the people who ask such questions–Obama plants? Maybe we need some plants to ask O about Jeremiah Wright again, or Rezko, or drug days, or questionable fund raisers, or his spouse’s recent discovery that she finally loves America. We are not through with questions about Jeremiah Wright or Rezko. The Republicans are just getting started.

We all need to remember that all of the candidates can promise anything say they want to change anything or everything. When the true heart of the matter is they can not do anything without it first going through the house and senate. And if you truly believe we will see health care reform, an end to the war, or a better economy without their approval you really need to wake up. Nothing in this country is going to change no matter who is in the presidents seat, unless everyone agrees and we all know from experience how well that works out.

Hillary is a lot more forgiving and a much more caring person than I could ever be if standing in her place. For those of us who support Hillary 100% the days ahead will be decisive. Hillary has fought the Republicans the biased Obmamanic media, the Obama campaign, the misogynists and women who have not yet seen the light.( maybe they still wear the paper bag). If Hillary does not get the nomination, I fear that the Democratic Party will lose many of its core supporters and the new face of the Democratic Party will be as far Left as the Republican Part was far right during the Bush administration. If she gets the nomination, the far left may as well move to the Libertarian Party. They are waiting for you. Collect Ron Paul on your way. Obama is not a Democrat.

I like Hillary Clinton. I voted for Bill in 1992 after she simply said that if Bill’s earlier marital indiscretions bother you, you should vote for someone else. She’s smart, she pays attention. But in this election I’m supporting Obama because he has wisdom beyond his years and an ability to bring opposing forces together in a common cause. I think Hillary would be a phenomenal Supreme Court Justice. She’s a centrist with a liberal heart. I honestly think she’s well-liked in the Senate because of her demeanor there, which is somewhat different than her campaign demeanor. She seemed to slip into a different mode once she began running for president.
Bottom line, Democrats, is that 4 more years of Bush policies will only sink us deeper into the mire. Obama has said all along that the policy differences between himself and Hillary are relatively minor, and he speaks well of her every day on the campaign trail. He insists that she’s a devoted, smart, tough public servant and would be one heck of a lot better than McCain. We need not be angry with other Democrats, we are on the same side- the side that wants to see America strong again!

Sen.Hillary is strong and she is not the first “first lady” that got cheated on. JFK had affairs with MM and so did his brother. Most presidents had mistresses all during their presidency. The Media is the one that makes a Mountain out of an ant hill and personally I doubt that many of these women now adays can put up with what Hillary has put up or gone thru without going beserk. So heres to Hillary!! YOU GO LADY!!!! You are one Heck of a fighter and one heck of a woman!!!

My vote is for Sen. Hillary. Obama is so full of hot air. He has to have cue cards or have rehearsed a speech in order to do well in front of a crowd because when it comes to answering questions up front he stammers, chooses the wrong words uh uh uh can’t find the words and then he has to go back and write a speech to correct the mess up he makes with his arrogance and ignorance. Now I Aks, (uh uh,oops it’s)lol, ask you people who you gonna vote for? My vote is for Sen Hillary!!! Hands down!!

All of you “Clintonists”should think twice before you try to denigrate Senator Obama. You Should remember how he passed on several opportunities, during the debate, to accentuate how much of a liar Senator Clinton is.
Obama did not want to go down to Clinton’s level. He chose the higher road because he is a true democrate, not a democrate clothed with republican garment like Hillary.
Vote a true democrate not a fake one!!!!!!!
Vote Obama!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Hillary?
Why are we treating her as a victim?
Her husband had SEVERAL affairs…she was not, and is not unable to support herself…he hummiliated her during the Lewisnky affair…yet she still stayed-what an example for our young women of today…The reason being-she had only married him to begin with, for this day-this is what she wanted all along-the presidency-at any cost.
So lets not call victim so fast.

Whoever said Hillary is unrespectful because she did not answer about Bill’s affair is selfish.
Let me ask you.
Let say if Hillary was you and your spouse cheated on you .
Would you be happy if anybody asked it in public?
That woman should ask her in private conversation.
Easy to accuse other people until it
happen to yourself.

sen clinton is far more worthy of being president. she has a trackrecors of working on issues important to americans. she has the intelligence and experience needed in this day and age where economic burdens, war and world affairs need the kind of wisdom expected of american leadership.
we just cannot risk all on an audacious sense of entitlement the elites, big media and the youth share with obama.
an obama nomination puts this country at risk. i cannot accept that.

It is evident that the Democrats have something to leave in the past. John McCain would like to honor his own wife’s wishes to protect her chidren from financial scrutiny. But the fact is that John McCain is the one and only person we have left to turn to for leadership and hopes that his own voice about immigration is not heard. The Laws of this land must be defended. Our Congress must join in the same plan for retirement and health care as we are provided. They must set aside their private fund for health care and pension at the cost to the tax payer. They must join us. Their additional programs like our 401 K program or 403K programs is their private right. They each have that. Out teachers and educators must be allowed to have the reward of both programs as well. there has to be a pay out for every program you pay into. Immigrants should not be forced to fund Social Security Programs that are not theirs to enjoy. THINK, for years we collected certain taxes that we had no right to collect … oooops that because they were using a false documentation. No Amnesty PLEASE

Hillary is a big girl. A Republican that had become offended by the young republican party and decided to become a Democrat in a Nation made up of two party system. She meet Bill and we know the history. Basically some of it just stinks. From Abraham Lincoln to George W Bush the Republicans have tried to live side by side with the other Party. Maybe they should be a Third Party System. But meantime, Hillary has to live side by side with Bill. If they have a Platform, they have stated it quite well. Stand by your man, Hillary … the next one would not be any better simply because of the way we chose things. Enemies seem to always exist … but I do not think they can be picked out as easily as deciding which Party Platform you like. Pro-Life or Pro-Choice, no matter what you decide something has to die. To be a Christian there is also a death that must come … a re-birth into a new person. Something special! When the dust clears after the election … will you support the President of The United States of America? Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, John F Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Dwight D Eisenhour, Bill Clinton, George H W Bush, or The Next Mr. President. Well, you should! It could be worse … Rick Perry #@1*# … LOL GOD Bless Texas!

FIRST OFALL DR. ANGELOU DOES NOT HAVE A DAUGHTER BUT RATHER A SON NAMED GUY JOHNSON! IT is a fact that her son is an avid Barack Obama supporter and lets not forget that her best friend in the world Oprah is also a strong Barack Obama supporter. Bill was smart to have her recite at his inaugural and she is loyal in showing some support to the Clintons. The real behind the scenes deal is that she is very impressed with Barack and will pull the lever for him. Love the lady and her intellect. She has been to the mountain top and seen a brighter future for America one with Barack as its President.

Maya is a queen in the African American community and it is deserved praise since she is an American jewel who has brought us so much beauty after overcoming the worst this country has to offer. It is a fact that the more she has learned about Barack the more she praises him. ABC once again playing us like a violin. The truth is Dr. Angelou is honest and talented too traits Hillary can only dream of. Read her books and enjoy the treasure within them and someone ask her what she has to say about Barack and watch the praise roll off her lips like honey. Joe Bento up top has it right and there are not enough reality bending machines to change the truth of her and her sons love for Barack Obama.
Maya we love you period. You are classy to the core. Thriving is elegant and embodied in you!

Hillary’s reason for wanting to win the presidency is revenge? Is she trying to get back at Bill for cheating on her? I would have had more respect for her if she had divorced him (it’s not like she’s catholic).

I was there. It was great to see two strong women speaking from their hearts and speaking the truth. Mothers were there with their daughters and women friends with women friends, old and young together, men and women together. It wasn’t a pep rally with a lot of false bravado; it was a low key event with women at the center of the stage and dominating the forum.
Hillary will win PA and the general election and both of their and our hopes and dreams have a chance of changing this society and the deep misogyny permeating the press and these posts.
“You may write me down in history with your bitter twisted lies, you may tread me in the very dirt but still like dust, I’ll rise.” Keep watching … that’s Hillary rising … again!

The debate convinced me to vote Hillary tomorrow. More than in previous debates where her words sometimes caused me to cringe, I thought she chose her words more carefully. Sniper fire, Rev. Wright, the Pennsylvania remark all needed to be addressed. How they responded impacted my vote. I admit I am troubled by Obama’s not walking out on a pastor delivering such negative messages especially with his children present. That alone was not the deciding factor – his unwillingness to explain (to my satisfaction) why he did not walk out is the problem. Both candidate’s solutions for critical issues had already been clearly stated and seem similar (not identical).

caddycts: I don’t agree with you. Its better to keep the home together than separate. His one time affair is not a big issue like Spitzer who had several affairs. I haven’t heard of his wife divorcing him yet. Hillary knew how to handle that situation and she did it well. The media does not know what was said behind closed doors and never will. That’s one thing about Hillary she doesn’t discuss her personal mattersa with the media. That’s what I call a smart lady. But everyone knows about Obama and his close ties to Wright, Ayers, Ayres and Farrakhan. What a reputation he has and running for the presidency of this country? Its most of this generation of boozers and druggers that are voting for him because he is in their league. Wasn’t he a drug addit and boozer at one time? Is he a closet drinker now?

I just love the way Hillary supporters try to trash Obama supporters. “He’s not this, He’s not that, he can’t win, I hate him, I hate you for supporting him, I hate everybody that does not think as I do. Pleasssse vote for Hillary”
They are dillusional. The lines have been PERMANETLY DRAWN. if Hillary can’tfind a whole new voting block other than old white women and blue collar thugs…she’ll NEVER win another election. Barack Obama has ALREADY proven he can cast a wider net. He has a FAR BETTER chance of wining.
too bad for Hilla-MONSTER
