Bill Clinton Tells Pennsylvania Elect Hillary Then ‘Hide and Watch’
ABC News’ Sarah Amos reports: former President Bill Clinton reminded the voters of Pennsylvania that this election all comes down to their votes, as he stumped for his wife in Milford late this afternoon.
"Pennsylvania, if you say yes to Hillary Tuesday, you hide and watch: you’re electing the next president," Clinton told the crowd gathered on the lawn and streets around an old Victorian house in town.
Clinton paced the house’s white wooden front porch for 45 mintues, making a final case for why Pennsylvanians should vote for his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton. As Clinton wrapped up his speech, he spoke of her toughness during the course of the campaign.
"And let me just say this — don’t you think for a minute that if you don’t get her — if you give her a big victory here — after all the blizzard of money and all these ads and the kitchen sink has been thrown at her. I asked her about that — I said, ‘They are throwing the kitchen sink at ya.’ She said, ‘Well, Harry Truman said if you can’t stand the heat you should get out of the kitchen.’ So the only thing I said is, ‘Well, you have got to figure out how to keep the kitchen sink in the kitchen now,’" Clinton told the crowd.
Clinton’s view of the "kitchen sink" is a new spin on a story line already familair to many voters, thanks to Sen. Clinton’s opponent in the race. Sen. Barack Obama has spent the past few days, as the race in Pennsylvania winds down, claiming that the Clintons have been doing everything in their power to throw the kitchen sink at him.
Clinton also continued to criticize Obama’s latest ads, which deal with Sen. Clinton’s healthcare plan.
"Now there is a truly hilarious ad coming up saying that she’s gonna force people even who can’t afford it to buy health care," the former president said. "I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but it is a total hoot. It has been — first, they used to be so ashamed of that argument that they only sent it out in the mail, where it was roundly discredited."
The former president also made a stop in Tobyhanna on his way back to the Philadelphia area for a late evening rally.

Hahaha. . .yep. Elect Clinton and then hide and watch – because suddenly all those right-wing endorsements of the woman they’ve attacked for years are gonna dry up – and they’ll butcher her in the fall campaign.
It isn’t any secret that conservatives have been begging for Hillary to be the Democratic nominee. Deserved or not, her negative ratings are directly related to their unrelenting attacks over the years. . .and they’ve only paused long enough to heap praise on her in hopes she’ll get the nomination.

Folks, I don’t know about you, but I have lost just about every ounce of respect that once existed for Bill Clinton. He’s about as reliable as an Edsel with four flat tires. I think Bill just wants four more cushy years at the White House where he can inspect the staff. I would like to go one better and say, if Hillary is elected president, MOVE, to another country. Go with the candidate who is sticking with the issues and will unite this country and make it a better place to live. Do not listen to the Clintons who have made a career of breaking the law and bringing down our country.

I thought the finger gesture hype was funny. He makes that gesture, and others while giving his speech. I wonder how many hours and hours of tape someone had to watch before finding two times when he said Clinton and brushed his face all at the same time! As for the Ayers thing- the interview was from early September and printed in the paper on September 10th. Another thing, he was never convicted of anything, the news reports sounded like others were much more involved than he was. Maybe you should try looking for real facts rather than made up spin. Maybe you need a life preserver? I think you’re sinking to her level!

There is no way B.O. will be elected, he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. I am sick and tired of every B.O. supporter saying the Clintons are crooks. THEY HAVE BEEN TRIED AND FOUND NOT QUILTY OF EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT. B.O. HAS NOT BEEN TRIED AND BELIEVE ME THE REPUBLICANS WILL TRY HIM. Hope and Change is bull****, that is all he is playing on. Hillary is exactly what this country needs, a woman to clean it up. Obama fans, practice what you preach. You want a different kind of politics, then quit playing traditional politics. I am not bitter, but I am a typical white person, OBAMA IS NOT ELECTABLE, WRIGHT?

Under what rock did they find Bill Clinton ??? He is without a doubt the biggest moron and phony along with Hillary in American politics !!! All the lying, cheating, non-payment of bills, high negatives will NOT get you into the White House. I like that people point to Barack’s associations – NOT HIM to dig up dirt. YOu don’t have to move past the Clintons themselves to get the dirt on you. Where is their list of donars – let’s see who they are associated with. All this talk and they still haven’t produced it. I wonder why!

What was the cost of the last 4 years of Bill Clinton. The Dems lost seat after seat in both The House and the Senate. And with NAFTA suported by both Bill and Hillary we have now lost Job after Job after Job. Orignaly I was going to Vote for Obama becasue he inspires me, Now I am Going to vote for him becasue We Can Not afford another Clinton or Bush!!

Bill Clinton is a liar just like his wife. Bill Clinton never paid down the national debt. Bill Clinton never had a budget surplus.
search on Yahoo’s search engine for, (Public Debt to the Penny). This is the United States Treasury Departments Website. On the left hand side of the page it says, (Historical Debt Outstanding)….click on it. This lists the United States National Debt in 50 year increments.
The last time the national debt was paid down was in 1957!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill Clinton lied to everyone about a budget surplus. George Bush gave everyone a tax cut on Bill Clinton’s lie, and won an election because of the lie told by Bill Clinton.
Now we owe 4 Trillion dollars more on the national debt.
Thanks for your lies Bill.
Why would we take a chance and vote in another Clinton….who will lie to us again?
Hillary will obviously make up bogus figures on her health care plan. Why should we even bother taking a chance on her lying to us about the costs?

I think that for someone who is asking the American people to vote him that display is disgraceful. Some may think that it is funny, but is this someone that you want to represent you on the world stage. There appears a great deal about Obama that we do know, and hopefully we will not have to wait until he gets control of our country to find out.

My experience in sells tells me that Clinton is selling all the time, besting what anyone else has to say or done, after a while she exhaust her credibility with so much “I can do” from “day one” that the customer has to push back and walk away. NO SALE. The country is tired of this type of politician that is why we support Obama because it takes allof us to deliver, we want to be included in the process.

The will of the people have not been all counted, if you don’t count Mich. and Flor. Obama knows counting those states means he loses. He cannot win the election on red states and the super delegates know it. Democratic party is using Obama, they know he isn’t electable, or they would have jumped on the band wagon. Its all about the money and people going out to vote. Howard Dean needs to quit, he is destroying the party.

Lots of hype here, just like in the media. Anyone running for President is not likely to be a saint. Hillary has her issues, McCain his and Obama as well. To claim that any of these three are radical is ridiculous, just as it is rediculous to think that anyone who has been in politics long enough to run for President, is still pure as snow. I think all three of the remaining serious contenders are fairly moderate, and pretty well connected (I mean that in the worst way).
I wouldn’t expect that at the end of the day it will make a gigantic difference who gets elected. Congress has to approve the budget and pass legislation. Congress is not going to pass a health care bill that doesn’t take care of the AMA and HMOs and drug companies. Congress isn’t going to let McCain stay in Iraq any more than they will stand for Hillary taking everyone out in a couple of months.
If we want some potential for a small change in how things are done, then Obama may actually try and do it. If we want things to stay pretty much as they are then Hillary or McCain are probably a better choice. Power is more addictive than heroin. Once someone has tasted that power it is almost impossible for them to let it go. All three have had their taste, perhaps Obama a bit less than Hillary, and she a bit less than McCain, but they are all addicts.
In certain ways I am probably a bit more comfortable with McCain and Obama then Hillary but all three will probably do a reasonable job. We have no sane reason to think that any of them have any anti-American adgenda, but we do have to worry about what they might be willing to do to get reelected a second time.

Just don’t embarrass yourself by stooping to such stupid lows to suggest that a man scratching his face is making obscene gestures to anyone. The suggestion alone is obscene.

If we go to the pledged delegates, we must include Florida and Michigan. That means Hillary wins.
I agree with whomever said Howard Dean should be fired. If you were running a company and started with this much talent, only to have it reduced to “trust me, I’m old” or “trust me, I’m a newbie,” that’s just sad. Women have been the Democrats most trusted voting bloc. They should take the vote elsewhere this year.

I don’t think anyone hates Obama. When he spoke at the DNC in 2004, I told my children, “Keep your eye on him. He’s a star in the making.” I was surprised to see him vying for the world’s most important job 3 years later. I don’t believe he’s ready for the job. But now, I’m much more saddened to see him so associated with so many hateful people in this world; like Jeremiah Wright who said this country “deserved” 9/11. I knew people who died in 9/11 — a mom and dad who left four little boys orphaned. They didn’t “deserve” 9/11. Many of my friends are Jewish; they don’t deserve a President who is close to Lewis Farrakhan. When is the last time Hamas wrote an article for your church bulletin? And if your best friend is the major American lobbyist and supporter of Hamas that’s pretty scary. It sounds to me like a majority of Obama supporters don’t want people to know him, because it all starts to look sketchy. But mostly, hats off to the Pittsburgh Tribune who called it like it is…”we all say stupid things from time to time…but when so many anti-American gaffes come out of the mouths of Barack and Michelle Obama, you have to believe this is who they are.”

I think the people of PA can see past Obama’s lies. I believe they now know that Senator Clinton is supremely more qualified to be president and I also believe they know that Obama doesn’t have a chance in the general election. Obama lied three times during the debate and the false ads he’s running right now are just proof as to what a hypocrite he really is. He claims one thing and does another. It is time to vote smart and vote Clinton.

It is impossible for Obama to win the General Election. Polls show that McCain is the stronger candidate in key swing states. Obama’s sleazy associates(Wright, Rezco, Ayers) and weak voting record (voting present instead of taking a stand) gives the McCain campaign enough ammo to shatter his image. Dems can hang it up until 2012 or pick Hillary.

CommonSense: Maybe you don’t remember the election of Bill Clinton against George HW Bush and the draft dodger questions, the sex scandals, the protest he led in the Soviet Union when the US was in the middle of the cold ware with the USSR and he was hiding from the draft during the Vietnam war. He was running against a war hero at the time and he won. Citing these much sillier issues of Rev Wright and guilt by tenuous relations as an impediment to Obama winning the General election is a farce argument.

> Go Hillary/Edwards
You’d think her future VP would endorse her, but he hasn’t.
As for Tuesday, it’s obvious that Hillary will get about a 60%/40% win to within a few percent either way. Her problem is much bigger than that: it won’t matter. She can’t catch up under any reasonable projections. She’s already lost, she just doesn’t want to admit it.
The party is going to yank her off the stage once voting is finished and they’re already preparing to.
But never mind. Let’s get back to wondering who worked for the same charity as a criminal. I bet McCain’s never done that. Has he ever worked for a charity at all?

I have been to rallies for Senator Clinton, and Senator Obama. I have also attended public forums for both spouses. Daily I have been following each candidate on various news networks, PBS and various print documents. I have gone directly to the source in to the public records on the internet of the U.S. government. Reading and learning about each Senator’s staff, their background, each senator’s actions and how they addressed issues.
My thoughts on who to support have bounced from a leaning to Sen. Clinton to a leaning toward Sen. Obama. I worked hard to blend the facts with my gut feelings and the people with whom they surround themselves. I watched and listened to both candidates.
Yesterday, I was at my last rally in Pennsylvania. The rally began with one of the most touching renditions of the National Anthem. There were Boy Scout, Girl Scouts and ROTC present. You could have heard a pin drop when the National Anthem was sung.
My conclusion after all of this: I want a President that is not sarcastic, who loves America, who has the skills to run the country, who has more than a comedic knack for looking down on people and while making cute gestures to distract the audience from the issue. I want a president who answers questions with depth not partial knowledge. I also want a President who does not choke on the words God Bless America.
Final Answer- I want Senator Hillary Clinton for President.

Who is REALLY the stronger advocate for Hunters?
Obama voted FOR the Vitter amendment which PREVENTS the government from confiscating guns from law abiding citizens during emergencies or martial law. HIllary voted AGAINST it.
Obama was recently fully ENDORSED by the American Hunters and Shooters Association. Hillary has NOT been endorsed by any such organization.
So who is really for the rights of hunters and legal gun owners?
Obama is for hunters and sportsman as evidenced by his actions and Hillary is just lying to get votes.

God I know it, imagine having a president who gets the people involved in running the country. I know that is a pretty frightening thought, especially for Republicans who are used to authority figures telling them how to think and what to say.

Sam – Blame your idol obama for losing Joe Biden. Obama framed Biden to be racist on the day when he annouced his candidacy – for praising the hypocrite. Biden’s candidacy was destroryed before it started. Obama is untouchable. You cannot criticise him, and you cannot even praise him. He will destroy his opponent using his trump cards.

Rachel…he scratched his face with his middle finger at two seperate stops in PA…same speech…same basic time he gave the finger…when he was doing one of his negative attacks on Hillary.
Once would be just an odd coincidence…twice at the same part of the speech is a highschool game of passive agressive behaviour…
Obama thinks that he doesn’t have to answer questions. He believes he can say anything…like his handwriting was not on the survey…He feels entitled because he has raised so much money.
Does it concern me that Hillary exagerrated her landing in Bosnia..YES
But it concerns me more that no one seems to call Obama on his multitude of lies. He has given 5 contradictory versions of when he knew about the things Wright was saying…for instance after 20 years in church he never heard anything…secondly he read about it in the Rolling Stone in Jan 2007 distanced himself publically then put him on his campaign till December 2007..
He has on the public record lost of versions of his relationship with Rezko too. We have slowly discovered that “this individual I did 4 or 5 hours of legal work for” is really his long time friend and mentor that enabled Obama to purchase the house he’s currently living in.
See if Obama could just be honest and tell the truth about these various relationships people wouldn’t be so suspicious.
It’s about judgement!

What part of the word manditory does the jerk not think were supposed to understand. It means “pay or we’re gonna hurt you.” Come to think of it, that’s been the Clintons view of government ALL ALONG!!! No thanks Bill, I’m not gonna let you, Hilliary, Sandy (bin Laden) Berger, and Wesley (Ruby ridge and Waco) Clark send out the military, the ATF or the IRS to raid me and my family like you did Ed and Elanine Brown in New Hampshire. Osama bin Laden is free and enjoys more freedoms than the citizens in our own country. (not to mention illegal immigrants) Not thanks Bill and Hill… To quote Mr. Trump: “Your FIRED!!!”

Robert- I agree with you in that I do not doubt Obama is a good man. However, a good man is not the only qualification to be a President. I think MaCain is a good man, in fact, more than just a good man. He is a hero. That does not make him a better President than HRC. As for Obama, he is a complete unkown, who has shown to be prepared to be a President. He had not a single original idea nor initiative to show in 3 years.
In fact, I don’t care if someone will make speeches to make you feel good or to have a beer with, as long as she/he is a good President.
Obama’s whinning ability on a simple debate and his skillful race card playing make him dangerous to be a president.

And anyone who bombs their own country is demented and should get the electric chair like Timothy McVeigh. Scum associates with scum and you all want him to be our next president? melissa…Hillary had a great record with the Children’s Defense League…over the years she has always specialized in education and special learning needs children. Often volunteering or advocating for programs that help them. As first lady in a time of major human rights abuses in China she gave a world renowned speech that demanded the Chinese change their policey. She was instrumental in getting Irish women (Catholic and Protestant) together to obtain peace in Ireland.
Feel free to distort her record….but some of us know better…I was a community organizer in the early 80′s but i wouldn’t use that on my resume for Presiden.

The ability to create the best economy and most prosperous 8 years in the history of this country is a good proof to be an outstanding President. Obama may want to deny facts by saying or deceiving the voters by implying that the Clinton years and Bush years are equaly bad. This however show the hypocrisy and the phony atitude of Obama to say anything to win, by deceiving and denying when his words become not to matter.
One cannot gamble on another unqualified, unkown person to be the next President.

Obama is not qualified to be President. Period. He is going to be skewered by the GOP in the fall if he’s the nominee over his patriotism problem. Period. It’s going to be bad. Nothing compared to what he’s faced so far. America does not have a history of electing presidents with views that are as far left as Obama’s. I’m a democrat and he flat out scares me. I want a more moderate president who isn’t going to tax me like Obama has promised to do. And I want a president with the tenactiy and courage to do what need to be done. He’s shown himself to be a coward. He doesn’t take the hard stands.
I think the people of PA agree.

After Bush, we just can’t afford to have a president who gives the finger to his rival and stands by his hate-spewing mentor pastor. The nation desperately needs someone with a proven record of making the chnages we need and fixing things. We need someone heardheaded and smart and tireless to get us out of Iraq, create new green jobs, get the economy moving again and give relief to the “working poor”. We need someone up to the task of restoring America to its rightful place as a good and great nation. Hillary is the only choice for renewal of America.

It would be nice if anyone can name a single original idea or a single legislation written by Obama (not claimed to have coauthored one with Dodd, but only was told by Dodd – his supporter – that BO did not contribute a single word).
This voter is open minded. If you can name one thing BO has done based on his own initiatives, Duh can be persuade after examining it. BO has not had anything to show, but his words. Then, words sometimes matter when benefitting himself, other times words don’t count out of his mouth.

If obama came out and said he was attacked by sniper fire, he would have been done. period. But she gets to claim she was tired when she said that, folks are a bit miffed, but her campaign goes right on. Nobody just randomly says they were subject to hostile fire. Bill Clinton’s political parlor trick:
Determine that your opponent has identified an issue that can hurt you. Then accuse them of the same weakness and split the difference.
Example: “Hillary is throwing the kitchen sink at Obama” True. Quickly accuse Obama of throwing the kitchen sink at Hillary (false). Result: “they both must be doing it”.
Example: “Hillary claims populist themes, but is actually a rich, privileged elitist” (True). Quickly accuse Obama of being a privileged elitist (False). Result: “They must both be elitists”.
Example: “Hillary has no executive or managerial experience” (True). Accuse Obama of lacking in experience (False). Result: “They must both lack experience”.
Remember: The definition of a con artist is someone who can perfectly imitate the actions of an honest person.

Anyone who believes that there will be no more war if they vote for Obama is buying into his Kool Aid. Obama has repeatedly spoken about invading countries prior to this election. Yes He Can be a War President Like Bush. You folks really need to do more homework. Hillary Rodham Clinton has real answers and solutions. In her December 2007 article in Foreign Affairs, pg 4, she states that Al Queda is funded by forcing impoverished farmers to grow Opium for Herion Trade. Her solution to undermine Al Queda is to retrain the farmers so that they can earn legitimate income. She is not against you. Obama is using you.

I’m willing to assume that Mr. Obama was only scratching his face during his poor me, “Clinton was in her element” comments.
BUT-the audience, by their laughter and expressions, clearly thought he was making an obscene gesture. He grinned and let them think so–he just went right along with it. He had an opportunity to stand up like a gentleman and correct the situation. He chose not to.
And that’s where he fails as a man and a presidential candidate–he is immature, and contrary to what he says, he plays to the worst in people, not to the best.
Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, speaks to what in great in individuals and in our country. She is seasoned, wise, and has the know-how to get the job done, protect our country, and repair our international reputation.

Jan E. what is it about the Clinton years you didn’t like- the peace or prosperity?
The trouble with Obama is that he is a neophyte. He has now misspoken so often that he has written the Repbulican Commericals for them.
Wow just imagine with Hillary we get what would have been best about Bill Clinton- his brain and wealth of knowledge- most people say Hillary is even smarter- and we don’t get his hijinks because most women know how to control themselves and focus on the issues at hand.
Hillary is brilliant creative and wise. We couldn’t have a better President at this time in our History. One who will make history by just being elected and then will make us all proud again.

Peace and prosperity?
Peace: The Clintons were totally distracted… before and after impeachment. Terrorists were training, tyrants were rising, our military was deteriorating and the USA was sitting it out. We are paying the price today.
Properity? The dot-com bubble created a windfall for the treasury… all those bogus stock profits were taxed to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Ignoring the rising problems in Africa, the Middle East and infrastucture at home created a “peace dividend”.
The Clinton Administration sowed the seeds of rot and decay, no matter how many times they repeat their cleverly manufactured myths.
By the way, Bill, this is a primary, not an election. The opportunity for Penna is not to “elect” anyone… but rather use this opportunity to prove they are more perceptive than the Clintons think they are.
Posted by: Gorgon '08 | April 21, 2008, 3:07 pm 3:07 pm

If Hillary was a man this primary would have been decided on Super Tuesday. American men just can’t fathom having a woman in charge. I think the change would be good for this country.
The only reason a 2 year senator has a chance is because he is running against a woman and he has galvanized the black vote.

The Clinton years were sex scandals, an internet bubble and bust and letting Bin Laden get away. Bill can’t wait to get back to his lucrative deals with Dubai and as far away from Washington as he can. He knows his wife is unelectable and will lose this costly game. Hillary lacks the character and class to be respected here or abroad. The world is still disgusted with her lies about her “experience”. Obama gives us credibility and class.

“The only reason a 2 year senator has a chance is because he is running against a woman and he has galvanized the black vote.”
Common Michael, you can do better than that.
1) Remember Jesse Jackson: A man and he galvanized the black vote too. Right?
So galvanizing the black vote is not a guarantee.
2) Or do you want to say that Hillary, the Bosnia commander, is losing because she is a woman? No true either. You may remember that a number of men in the democratic party primaries dropped by the wayside on their way to ‘bitter’ Pennsylvania. And that was before Hillary, the wino, publicly hit the bottle.
So being a woman or a man was NOT the factor.
Maybe the factor is Hillary herself – and the fact that only one of them, Sen Obama, will get the nomination.
She ran into an awesome force.

We could not trust him then and we cannot trust him now. Haven’t we had enough embarrasment from the Clintons? His hands will be all over anything dealing with the white house(and we are not just talking politics).
He had his chance and I for one do not want him anywhere near the White House again. I think our country has sufferred enough from the hands of the Clintons.
As for Hillary, I do not trust her to make the right decisions. I do not think she has been honest with the public and think she has a lot more to hide than she is letting out. She could not even deal with her husbands infidelities. What will happen when there is a serious situation that needs to be handled as a president?
I am all for electing a female as the President but not this one.
