Clinton Not Too Sleep Deprived for a Debate

ABC News’ Eloise Harper Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., brought her campaign to Fayetteville, North Carolina Thursday evening. Clinton, who is down by double digits in the polls in the state, is vowing to fight in North Carolina where she faces a disadvantage.

Clinton appealed to these voters saying that she, unlike her opponent, is willing to accept a debate whenever, wherever. "I have said I’ll debate anytime, anywhere — look I’m so sleep deserved – it doesn’t matter anytime anywhere — ill show up."

Clinton, with a speech focused on military issues, pleaded for support from voters in this state saying "I think you derive your own debate its been a lot time since you’ve been part of an contested Democratic primary. I invite all of you to be part of this campaign I really hope that you will participate sign up to make phone calls and reach out to your friends and neighbors – go door to door."

It wouldn’t be a Hillary Clinton event these days if she didn’t include this line "and I hope you will go to my website hillaryclinton.com" which she did issuing a transparent plea for cash, another area where she faces a disadvantage.

Clinton today, committed to spending time in this state – and has committed resources by adding offices and moved her successful operator Ace Smith, to chair her campaign in the state.. Smith recently and victoriously chaired both Clinton’s Texas and Ohio operations. "That’s why I’m so excited this campaign has moved to North Carolina –here we are were a near two great bases Fort Bragg and Pope" Clinton said "and I am looking forward to criss-crossing North Carolina in the next ten or twelve days… and I think its exciting that this campaign has come to North Carolina".

Why would he be sleep deprived? He has down nothing but have BBQ’s and fly around the world on taxpayer money to fund his campaign in Paris.

Hmmmmmmm….. We now know where you stand. Is this where middle class White America stands? Is this the face of Hillary Clinton? Is this what Bill Clinton stood for for 8 years?
Perhaps we should call this guilt by association.

Great, maybe we can give the world an explantion of her comments that she would “obliterate Iran”.
This is a big story outside of the U.S.
As for another debate, the last debate hosted by ABC was a travesty! Why would Senator Obama or the American people want to be subjected to that again?

Posted by: Kaye Martin | April 24, 2008, 6:53 pm 6:53 pm

When is the media going to tell the American people that Senator Clinton did not win Texas and that her margin of victory in PA with 100% of the returns in was 9%?
Where are the American people supposed to go in order to get the truth?

Posted by: Rhonda Spruill | April 24, 2008, 6:58 pm 6:58 pm

We have had 21 debates. ABC’s excuse for debate questions about flag pins, Ayers, etc was that there wasn’t much difference between Obama and Hillary so they couldn’t think of any other questions except on electability.
Thus, according to ABC there really isn’t any more questions. Why do we need any more debates.
Hillary is in so much debt that she needs a debate for free publicity.

We are very pleased to see that CNN has corrected its 10% lead to a 9.31 to a 9% in PA, Hillary the Bosnian General has not got 10% lead again another”mispoke”, that is a good correction because fairness of media is essential in everything. Obama is just incredible overcoming a 25% lead in 2 weeks, that is extraordinary, a great leadership and a great vision. Hillary is unlectable, a reality to live with and get over it. In real terms Obama won PA. God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08

I dunno,Rob, but MSNBC, CNN, and the rest of the MSM is not talking about Hillary’s Bosnia story. They are talking about the Jeremiah Wright interview with Bill Moyers that will air tomorrow night. They have leaked parts of that interview and all of the newscasters are saying that interview is Barack’s worst nightmare. This interview has not formally aired yet, but it is being covered extensively by MSM already…

Clinton was and still is the best candidate. Obama is scared to death to debate anymore because of his embarrassing performance last week. He’s afraid to open his mouth now, giving lame excuses before the PA primary so he wouldn’t have to do any interviews. Anything that he does now will be well scripted I guarantee. Watch him evade and obfuscate on FOX Sunday. I actually feel sort of sorry for him, with his sales people not around to tell him what to say, he looks lost sometimes.

For everyone who doesn’t see the benefit in another debate, just don’t watch it! I, for one, take this nomination process seriously. This is not American Idol or a photo contest. This is about determining who the next leader is for this great nation. If you can’t go the distance, stay on the sidelines. I do, however, EXPECT every candidate to debate all the way to the convention, if necessary. In this particular case, the more we know about our candidates, the more informed we will be when we ALL vote in November. So, please, enough with the whining!

If Obama was really about the issues, he’d welcome another debate with Hillary. As another opportunity to get his ideas out. But he can’t debate as he stands on sinking sand. His ideas fall short for America & Hillary again would prove she is the one with workable, sensible, complete solutions to get America back on track. Write is Wrong ! & there are a host of skelatons in Obamas closet that hasn’t gotton out yet. Hillary has been far too nice to Obama. McCain will clean his clock. Hillary is the only sensible choice for America.

Yeahright,
Well said! I agree. I don’t know what your race is and I don’t care. I just want to say I am a white person and I agree with you. Hell, I am a white woman and I agree with you! There is a double standard and I was ok with it but this is crazy. Where the situation reversed, Barack would be back in Chicago right now!
As far as her being a fighter, please. She is no fighter. SHE IS A VICTIM, if he starts to go after her, if the press turns on her, etc. she will BECOME a victim. She has turned into a victim before and she will or would do it again. She is not some tough, smart, capable cookie….she is nothing but a self-entitled person and feels this nomination is owed to her.
Factshurthillary,
I agree with you as well. Name recognition and having the Clinton Machine behind her and it was supposed to be over with before it even started. The fact that she is struggling make me laugh. Her fake smiles when she loses make me laugh. And when she loses the nomination, I will laugh again because I can’t stand this double standard that others speak of.
BTW, I am also glad that the stupid Clinton War Machine Myth is D.E.A.D.

I’m confused. If Obama is all about “bringing people together” and “he is your candidate” and “yes we can”, then why can’t he debate? Has he now decided that since he has this race wrapped up, the people don’t need to hear from him anymore? Oh, I get it. Obama was talking like a politician before. Obama didn’t REAllY MEAN ANYTHING HE SAID IN ANY OF HIS SPEECHES! Obama did mean it when he gave the finger to Hillary – and guess what, he was giving the finger to all the Democrats in MI and FL who want a revote, and the Democrats in NC and IN who want to hear the candidates debate, and now Obama is “too tired” to keep going over the same boring issues in another debate. How will Obama ever be able to pay attention to the boring details of the presidency – Obama is so much like George W. Bush it’s scary.

Do Hillary Clinton supporters read anything besides their campaign newsletters?
He agreed to a debate last week, but Hillary objected to the date, and it ultimately fizzled out.
I really don’t think, Obama is too concerned at this point, though. After “Hillary’s big win” ( which everyone expected ) in PA, 49 senior Edwards backers threw their support behind him, not her.
So, I really don’t see any momentum on the part of Hillary. Even when she wins, she loses.
( I do think, that it’s ironic that we’re hear at ABC discussing debates… )

To Hillary from FL: Hillary has closed the deal. The pundits said “whoever wins CA gets the nomination”. Well, their golden boy Obama lost by double digits, and the frantic spinning began. Same thing happened with NY, NJ, MA, OH, TX and PA. Oh, well, she just won PA because Rendell was helping her Obamadroids said. No, she won because she is tough, she’s a fighter and she’s ready to be president. A woman is never allowed to achieve anything on her own. The sexist media is just stuck in their thinking and they want so, so badly for Obama to be the nominee, that it’s a disgrace to journalism to see the wild spinning and lies being told to Americans about Obama. Hillary would close the deal if MI and FL were allowed to vote – but Obama is too SCARED THAT HE’LL LOSE so he won’t let them vote! Scaredy cat Obama. And Obama is afraid to debate. And HE SHOULD NOT GET TO PICK THE MODERATORS! I would like to see Obama surprised by the moderators. Let’s see how Obama thinks on his feet without a teleprompter telling him what to say! What is Obama afraid of? That the public will see more of the San Francisco Obama? The radical, extreme left liberal elite Obama who is too good for us regular folks?

The problem with ALL of the debates since just before Edwards dropped out is that we have media people, who covet their jobs, askin questions that cannot be legitimate debate questions. Debate watchers in the last two debates voiced their opinion that they want to see the candidates debate real issues that each propose change on. If you ignore the silly stuff and pay attention to the real stuff, it is apparent that Clinton has the greater command of the issues, has the confidence of the voters based on the issues, and has the strongest debate performance in all the debates. There are many reasons people feel as they do (I am referring to survey and poll results not myself.) but it is clear that voters tune-in to watch in greater numbers with each debate. The voters deserve to watch more as the race continues. For all you media folks reviewing the blogs, voters want substance in the debates not entertainment. Get a clue and ask some real questions and conduct the debates in a responsible journalistic manner if you are going to have more debates. Personally, the best debates are the townhall styles with questions coming from the voters not the journalists. NPR? PBS? League of Women Voters? Human Rights Campaign? Why are you absent from this process?

Why is David Axelrod advising any of his surrogates to attack Bill Clinton (again) after his candidate drew 97% of the black vote in PA.
David Axelrod is not only tarnishing the legacy of Bill Clinton but he is ripping the country apart by playing the race card too many times.
It seems to me that Axelrod is threatening the superdeligates with the argument that if you take this nomination away from Obama, it will be your fault for igniting a racial war (causing possible riots?) in America.

Hillary from FL: Hillary IS CLOSING THE DEAL! Hillary is proving that she is tough, capable, and a fighter who is willing to fight for American democrats – even Chris Matthews has had to begrudge Hillary that. Hillary even went on that pompous blowhard Keith Olbermann’s show the night before the PA primary! KO has tried in every way to KO Hillary out of this race! Hillary wasn’t afraid of him. Hillary didn’t say I won’t talk to you. Hillary has more grit and gumption in her pinky finger than Obama has in his whole Jay Z brush off dance give the finger but run away from debating dance! So Hillary in Fl, I’m guessing you are a young woman, otherwise you would understand the incredible sacrifices and battles that women, like Hillary, have waged since the early 1900′s just for the right to have rights, to own land, to work, to vote, and yes, to become president.

As for Hillary’s experience, I say, to be a “Lady-in-waiting” is no qualification for being the queen. Whatever your memories of 90s, people don’t grow with age. How can you even compare a 60+ year tired mind with the brilliance of Obama who must navigate us thru unexpected, always right the first time. The women who want a female as president for its own sake have lost their rudder and priorities. It is a common sense to elect Obama for his promise and potential. Obama is a gift and our collective chance to get together and battle the economic and social catastrophe that is raising its ugly head at this very moment.

H from F: Democrats do have a chance. A great chance to get White House back.
As long as, or as this recession gets worse, the more chance the democratic party will have. People, voters, know instinctively the president’s affiliating party must be changed from GOP to Democratic. As we get older, or say more experienced or mature, many of us become wiser. And we learn, never say “never.” You just can’t tell what is goiong to happen next. Often things are not it appears to be.

Hillary from Fl,
I’m back.
I think I don’t need to answer all your questions because Lee Lee and Obama Knew had the answers already.
I just want to add something let’s close the deal with:
Another debate in Oregon
Seated MI and Fl.
BTW Hillary knows how to manage her money even with limited money she wins PA.
Obama outspent 5:1 to Hillary and he owes some vendors money. It’s on the news recently.

Posted by: crisis08 | April 25, 2008, 12:40 am 12:40 am

To Hillary from Florida,
60% Democrats do not trust her is just an exit poll. These so-called 60% just don’t want a Bush/Clinton Dynasty being built up. A portion of that comes from people who are extremely jealous of the Clintons that simple issues can eaily fire up, esp. that the first woman President is for one a breaking record plus Clintons will be the first in the history to be having served the country for 12 or more years with true peace and prosperity. Clinton times may be likened to Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Age in the 17th century

Posted by: joll0586 | April 25, 2008, 12:40 am 12:40 am

When Bill Clinton left office, he left us with no debt. The U.S.A. had a lot of money in the bank. Then Bush was elected and he spent all the money. We need Bill and Hillary back in office to get the economy back on track. Hillary is ahead in the popular vote. Let’s not forget she won by a huge margin in Florida. If Democrats want to win in November, they need to put Hillary at the top of the ticket and Obama as VP. Obama has shown time and again that he can’t win swing states. Without the swing states, Democrats lose the Presidency.

I was at the Asheville,NC Solutions For America Rally with Sen. CLinton she seemed tired but she was more brilliant in Person than every on TV.. I was a volenteer and there were about 10,000 people in the streets waitign to get into her her… she will close the gap there… Obama doesnt want to fight for it and Clinton is tired but fights even harder……Hillary08!

Posted by: staniam | April 25, 2008, 12:42 am 12:42 am

Jollo………… obviously Obama can’t afford one either. He’s only ever paid for one speech. Hope, Change….Yes We Can!!!!!
I sure hope he didn’t pay too much for that one……. probably just plagarized.

Posted by: dk | April 25, 2008, 12:47 am 12:47 am

Hillary didnt even look at notes in her speech tonightshe actuallywas familiar with our NC demographics and acted like one of us

Posted by: Staniam | April 25, 2008, 12:49 am 12:49 am

PA was Hillary’s last hurrah! She is spent , no more venom. Here comes the Sun, Obama who even looks like the image of Jesus on the shroud of Turin. Obama’s call for unity is in his genes. If you don’t vote for Obama you will be stuck with Carl Rove in eternity and may not see the paradise.

Posted by: Juda | April 25, 2008, 1:01 am 1:01 am

Why Obama is so affraid of debates? Isn’t he ready to be the nominee and campaign against McCAin? Does Obama think he can win the General election writing speeches? Debates are necessary to evaluate candidates. Obama should leave the race if he can not debate.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:05 am 1:05 am

It is great the energy Hillary Clinton has, she really can bring this country in the right direction. So Obama is too tired to debate? Then he does not have the passion to be the Democrat nominee. This is one more thing superdelegates should consider. Obama can not win one single debate and now he is affraid of them.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:08 am 1:08 am

This whole mud slinging from both sides is moot. Senator Obama has won the nomination. The only recourse Hillary has left is through the superdelegates. However, drip by drip by drip the superdelegates are floating over to Senator Obama’s camp – today Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, Superdelegate Rep. David Wu, and OregNebraska supers have endorsed Obama. Nebraska superdelegate Audra Ostergard said Wednesday that she will support Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination as well as David Price, U.S. Congressman,
Mel Watt, U.S. Congressman,
G.K. Butterfield, U.S. Congressman,43 North Carolina Mayors endorsed Senator Obama, and IFPTE Union endorsed Obama (75,000 members). Every day 1-2 superdelegates swing to Senator Obama. Tomorrow others will join the Obama bandwagon. Folks, it is over.

Posted by: sandy | April 25, 2008, 1:12 am 1:12 am

Um Juda u didnt spell Karl ROve right and Obama is no messiah! Sen Clinton is not tired because she is on the just side of the fightg and will fight for normal people not people making 50 million at the espense of the middle class!

Posted by: Staniam | April 25, 2008, 1:13 am 1:13 am

I think is great that Hillary is not sleep deprived to debate, the question is Why Obama is affraid to debate?

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:16 am 1:16 am

To Felixdiaz1
OBAMA HAS STATED EVER SINCE THAT HE WILL DIRECTLY TALK UNCONDITIONLLY TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES HOSTILE TO US AND US ALLIES
BUT IN FRONT OF JEWISH GROUP LEADERS IN PENNSYLVANNIA, HE HAS STATED HIS OBJECTTION TO CARTER ON MEETING WITH HAMAS
BUT IF ALQAEDA IS FOUND IN PAKISTAN, HE WILL BOMB PAKISTAN
THESE ARE HIS VARYING POSITIONS

Posted by: joll0586 | April 25, 2008, 1:17 am 1:17 am

Felix
There were 9000 people that stood up and roared with applause when Hillary said that her opponent will not debate her in NC even though she got 20,000 requests for tickets

Posted by: staniam | April 25, 2008, 1:18 am 1:18 am

Sanjay Hillary Clinton was asked that question, What would she do if Iran drops the bomb in Israel, she answered correctly. now what Obama would do if Iran drops the nuclear bomb on Israel or any ally? Obama is affraid of a debate. What would he do?

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:19 am 1:19 am

Joll Senator Clinton was not sating her position, she was asked an hypotetical question and she answered, that is it.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:22 am 1:22 am

To sandy,
A CANDIDATE IS ONLY DECLARED A WINNER OF THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION IF HE WAS ABLE TO COLLECT 2025 DELEGATES. THERE WAS NO RULE IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY THAT WHOEVER GETS THE MOST NUMBER OF PLEDGED DELEGATES WILL BE THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A TRUE MEASURE OF ELECTABILITY. THAT’S WHY WE HAVE SUPERDELEGATES TO DECIDE ON SEVERAL FACTORS LIKE ELECTORAL VOTES

Posted by: joll0586 | April 25, 2008, 1:24 am 1:24 am

Amy
The energy in the auditorium where Hillary spoke in Asheville,NC tonight was palpable… I didnt read the post for the mistakes but Hillary did look tired… my mom said she was probably sick from all the travel… she is still going to win cause Obama cant fight hard enough:)

Posted by: staniam | April 25, 2008, 1:26 am 1:26 am

Superdelegates need to see that Sen Clinton can win the states with more electoral votes and that she can campaign and debate to defeat McCain.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:28 am 1:28 am

Joll, that is something I do not understand. Obama wants to be the Democrats nominee but he criticizes all important democrats and their achievments.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:31 am 1:31 am

To Felixdiaz1,
Hillary stated that US COULD obliterate Iran if ever Iran uses nuclear weapon on Israel. COULD, meaning most probably, if Iran’s end cannot justify the means. She WOULD attack Iran if Israel was attacked without just cause. WOULD, meaning, in all probability. I agree with, she was just responding to hypothetical questions. She responded intelligently and strategically at the minimum

Posted by: joll0586 | April 25, 2008, 1:32 am 1:32 am

Sandy Hillary is still ahead on superdelegates, and superdelegates can change their mind and choose at the convention their selected nominee.

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:40 am 1:40 am

Yes, she is ahead, felixdiaz1, but her lead shrinks on a daily basis. And the superdelegates can change their minds at the convention, but the superdelegates, if Senator Obama is ahead by that time (and I believe he will be at the rate superdelegates keep swinging to him), will not throw an entire voting block under the bus and switch to Hillary.

Posted by: sandy | April 25, 2008, 1:45 am 1:45 am

I’M NOT YELLING. I JUST WANT TO EMPHASIZE ALL MY POINTS. SUPERDELEGATES SHOULD EXERCISE OBJECTIVENESS AND SOUND JUDGEMENT. SUPERDELEGATES WHO RASHED TO OBAMA’S SIDE SO EARLY FROM THE CONVENTION ARE THE ONES WHO MISJUDGED AND UNDERESTIMATED HILLARY’S CAPABILITY AND WANT TO PROTECT THEIR POLITICAL INTERESTS IF OBAMA WINS

Posted by: joll0586 | April 25, 2008, 1:45 am 1:45 am

Sandy Superdelegates know that to win the General Election is the most important goal, Hillary can carry the decisive states. Obama is unelectable he can not debate and he has not being able to win any decisive state, he has alienated the blue collar and rural votes that are the majority of voters in the country. They will select Hillary

Posted by: Felixdiaz1 | April 25, 2008, 1:49 am 1:49 am

sandy – when Jesse Jackson ran all the way to the convention in 1988 with the support of nearly the entire black voting bloc of the dem party, no one accused the nominee of risking alienation of that bloc… Clinton is certainly continuing to reach out to that bloc as she is reaching out to all voters… the problem is the stereotyping that Obama has done with various demographics that has lead to the division we see today… Clinton represents all voters by proposing plans that will benefit all voters based on common goals that we all identify with… change for the sake of change is usually not a good thing… smart change only occurs with incremental improvements… Clinton’s plans and proposals are smart change without alienating any voting blocs… Obama continues to be divisive in his statements and his campaign strategies for only 48 of our 50 states.

Posted by: DCVoter | April 25, 2008, 1:59 am 1:59 am

As long as you will read here that Obama is unelectable, in fact he remains electable and dangerous for Mc Cain. If really he was unelectable, please explain to me, why too many folks here are wasting their time to bash him.
The facts here: Obama was 22% down in PA in early march. After the Wright, Bitter, Flag pin and Ayers controversy, he finished down 9%. And you say that the momentum is for Hillary ? PA with a huge margin of older voters and 85% white peopli was one of the best demographic area for Hillary. She finally won by only 9 points.
And regarding Rendell, he did the same as Wright: praise Farrakhan. Has Hillary disowned Rendell for it ?

Posted by: Frederic Glassey | April 25, 2008, 2:34 am 2:34 am

And just another fact: Obama could be the first biracial US president, not the first black president with all the respect for his white mother.

Posted by: Frederic Glassey | April 25, 2008, 2:44 am 2:44 am

Anyone here can debate! like Hillary claims! when all you do is read from a script, and she is not that good at that!
Hillary is running a tired campaign, so called claims of raising $10 million in just over 24 hours, but she has more DEBT in the States she has visited that that amount.
The number of LIES she has told just like Husband Bill (I can’t work out how he can still face the American Public)means when do we know she is telling the Truth.
No Hillary is running on empty but does not want to accept the TRUTH! she can fight all she wants and try and change the rules all she wants, but all she is doing is damaging THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY while she is doing so.

Great! Let’s vote for a candidate who will tell lies to Americans in their face and admit it! Let’s vote for a candidate that will attack the person rather than the issues. Let’s vote for a candidate taht will lie to count states that she AGREED not to count! Let’s vote for a candidate that is so egocentric that will rather destroy her democratic party rather than to concede eminent defeat! Yay! Go Hillary, Let’s all vote for you for your great ETHICAL values!!!! Gee guys, now I know we have a great future if she wins!!!

If Hillary wasn’t known, I would want to know her too.
Please stop putting Obama on a pedestal for no reason.
What has he done for Americans anyway?

Posted by: Tim | April 25, 2008, 8:55 am 8:55 am

the nomination is over and Obama won. What is happening today is only the side show for us and the media to enjoy. I bet it will be Obama-Clinton against Mccain-Romney in Nov 4, 2008.

Posted by: alexis compton | April 25, 2008, 9:09 am 9:09 am

Obama and his supporters know that he can’t win a debate because he can not speak without speech writers and a teleprompter.
It has nothing to do with everyone knowing the issues already. When Clinton and Obama are side by side her superior intelligence always comes through, that is why he has never won a single debate in spite of the fact they have all (except for the last which they have not stopped whining about) been totally skewed in his favor.

Posted by: Pat | April 25, 2008, 9:18 am 9:18 am

Poor Barry changed his name went to school, Harvard no less and still can not debate! He is such a phony and a failure he needs his handlers and wife to lead him by the nose. Most men are co dependent and Barry is one sorry spoiled crybaby!

She is behind in this state because of the vast African American population. This is a race about race. She did invite people to Hillary.com also to prove that she can get people fundraising online like Barak. If people would look at these 2 candidates on paper…Hillary would have been the nominee LONG ago.

Posted by: Darla | April 25, 2008, 9:24 am 9:24 am

This is the reason I left the Rep. Party, nothing positive ever about the candidate (McCain) just negative about Obama. Another donation to Obama for President, everytime Clinton or the Rep. go with this type of sewage I give money to Obama.

Posted by: ndrick50 | April 25, 2008, 9:32 am 9:32 am

There are plenty of new things to debate that are pertinent to the country or the specific state they are campaigning in. For Obama to write off debating anymore and saying that asking for a debate is a ‘political game’ it shows to me that he is unprepared and scared to put himself out there where he could potentially make another mistake. Guess who else was afraid to debate? GEORGE BUSH!

Wow, this group of people are collectively an embarrassment to the United States of America. The level of immaturity and the degree of blatent false statements and racism/sexism here is beyond pathetic. It’s no wonder this country has lost it’s way (according to 81% in the most recent survey), this is the mentality that people put forth. Grow up, the two democratic candidates agree on 95% of the issues. You know, issues? The things that matter to the future of the country. Unless you’re being paid by a campaign to post negative comments about the competitor, you’d realize this. Post the facts, not made-up melodrama that the tabloids wouldn’t even have the idiocy to print.

Clintons are just using wishful thinking. Based on what is Obama not electable? Based on what is Hilliary more electable?
Obama is leading Hillary in the GE polls Is leading McCain In the Ge polls and is leading Hillary in the primary.
Based on what is Hillary doing better?
Come on give me some facts, some base on which to come to the same opinion as you.
Without some fact it is just an opinion, useless argument.

Obama is unelectable because most people voted for him before his baggage fell out of his closet. Some people are trying to make this about race. This is not about race. Lot’s of people voted for him that now want their votes back.
It is about judgement and character. It has come to light that this man has neither good judgement, nor good character.

That’s why even the most recent polls across the nation are showing Obama ahead of Clinton then? No matter how you try to spin the results, more people have voted for Obama (if you want to include MI and FL, you have to also include all the caucus states). More delegates are in favor of Obama, and the most recent polls show him as more electable. Try using facts as an argument instead of emotion some time, it’s quite entertaining.

When will you folks realize that everthing the Clintons do is politically motivated. Always have. Hillaryites..they are playing you…..aren’t you tired of being played? Hillary will never win in the South. Southeners are better at spotting phonies than people elsewhere.

HILLARY has what it takes to be the next president and the longer the undecided in the country has to see Obama’s lack of leadership, ideas and beliefs, they’ll choose Hillary. The campaigning has been TOO long, and yes, people want it over with, BUT America need the BEST person for the job after the Bush years and that person is Hillary Clinton, hands down!

So Obama doesn’t want to debate Hillary. Does that mean that if he gets the Dem nomination, he won’t debate McCain either, unless he can be assured in advance of getting only softball questions?
Obama is looking like a wimp and a coward. If he can’t take hostile questions from ABC, how will he take a hostile raking from Ahmedinijad in Iran?
When JFK met with Khrushchev at the Vienna summit, Khrushchev actually threatened to nuke America if JFK didn’t surrender to his demands. What would Obama have done? Groveled?
You Obama supporters have no clue, absolutely no clue, of how rough international affairs can get. Your candidate isn’t up to it. No guts.

Posted by: SteveL | April 26, 2008, 1:43 pm 1:43 pm

I did the math and Hillary’s margin was 9.66% with ALL the precincts counting. 9.66 is closer to 10 than to 9. Hillary won the Texas primary, which was far more representative than the caucus, because far more people participated in the primary. Obama does well in caucus’s because his younger supporters can withstand the strain of the caucus more than Hillary’s older supporters.

Posted by: Dan Wagle | April 26, 2008, 5:53 pm 5:53 pm

Obama just got another superdelegate endoresement from AZ last night. Go Obama!!! He will be a great leader for this country and there is not one of his supporters that think he is without fault, but when you compare him to Hill or McCain, he looks pretty dang good. Hill has turned to the DARK side and is ruining the Dem party.

Posted by: mandm | April 27, 2008, 9:11 am 9:11 am

Geez….is Hillary STILL running? I thought she was the “frontrunner” who said the primaries would award her the nomination by Super Tuesday. . .and now she’s crowing like a comeback kid. How exactly do you come back from losing 11 primaries in a row to such frontrunner status after winning one?
