It’s the “Rocky” Road for Hillary Clinton
In a speech in Philadelphia today, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, compared herself to Philly icon Rocky Balboa. Watch the VIDEO HERE. "Well, could you imagine if Rocky Balboa had gotten half way up those Art Museum steps and said, ‘Well, I guess that’s about far enough?’" Clinton asked. "Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing the fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common," she will tell the Pennsylvania A.F.L.-C.I.O. audience. "I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people." Um….Senator? Rocky lost. It was a split decision, but the judges (superdelegates?) awarded the fight to Rocky’s black opponent, Apollo Creed. ANNOUNCER: Judge Walker scores it eight-seven Creed… Judge Roseman scores it eight-seven Balboa. Judge Conners scores it nine-six Creed… Winner and still Heavyweight Champion of the World, Apollo Creed! (As a Philadelphian, I am not going to get into Rockys II through 6.) – jpt The Republican National Committee reminds me that Sylvester Stallone has endorsed Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. Watch HERE.

Santorum Wins Three States: What Does It Mean?
Rick Santorum Wins Minn., Mo. and Colo. Primaries
News Alert!!
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the superdelegates who may ultimately decide the Democratic party’s presidential nominee have a right to vote as they wish, and that the drawn-out contest between candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama should be allowed to reach its conclusion.
“These superdelegates have the right to vote their conscience and who they think would be the better president, or who can win, but they also then should get involved in the campaigns and make their power known there,” Pelosi said in an interview aired Tuesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
Pelosi recently drew objections from Clinton backers when she said she shared Obama’s view that superdelegates — nearly 800 elected officials and party leaders — should be guided by the vote for pledged delegates. Obama leads Clinton in pledged delegates earned in primaries and caucuses, 1,406 to 1,249. Clinton leads Obama in endorsements from superdelegates, 250 to 218. It takes 2,024 delegates to win the nomination.

Hillary say: “Well, could you imagine if Rocky Balboa had gotten half way up those Art Museum steps and said, ‘Well, I guess that’s about far enough?’”
Problem is Obama is already at the top of the steps next to the finish line.

“Um” Jake – as a fellow Philadelphian [we probably lived there during the same time frame in our lives] if you remember, the entire point of “Rocky” was NOT whether he won or lost, it was how he stayed in the fight for the full 15 rounds. So, the analogy that Senator Hillary Clinton borrows is completely appropriate. Win or lose does not matter [e.g. Phillies, Eagles, 76ers], it is in the never giving up that matters most.

Another point to consider with this analogy that Clinton fails to consider is that Rocky got through on heart and tough training with a good manager. All Clinton has to substitute is attitude and delusional claims to experience. (“Say, Mick, wasn’t I running across the ring in Vietnam with my head down because of bullets whizzing around me last time I fought Apollo?” “No, Rock, you was never in ‘Nam. That was another movie and another character.” “Oh, yeah, right. Thanks, Mick.”)

Suckers love the underdog. When Obama was the underdog, Hillary and her camp were downing Dunkin Donuts and partying like rock stars while thinking she was cruising to an inevitable nomination.
Oh, but wait! Hillary slips and underestimates her opponent! She plays catchup and building a little confidence in New Hampshire. The next week she gets crushed and blown out in SC, DC, MD, WA, etc.
Next she sets up virtual goalposts in Texas and Ohio. To her knowledge, the Republicans vote for her and give her the win she so much needed. However, she gained no ground in delegates.
Now, here we go again in Pennsylvania where she is supposed to win and even if she does, it won’t be by much. 10 days later, she’ll be stomped in Indiana and North Carolina.
She’s pissing in the wind folks. The more she does it, the wetter she gets. What a sadist.

No matter the rhetoric, the Democratic contest is very interesting compared to the slam-dunk Republican Party candidate. The Democratic contest is keeping us all involved and energized regardless of Party loyalties. I cannot remember anything this exciting in politics in the past several years.
Posted by: Longtree | April 1, 2008, 11:26 am 11:26 am
I am starting to believe that politicians are so into embellishing their experiences that, after a time, it becomes their “new reality”. I mean, I find it hard to believe Hillary can believe she can deliberately make this stuff up and get away with it! The converse is frightening, i.e. deliberately lying so as to give a false impression. That’s plain dishonest. Oh wait! I did say “politician”. Never mind.
Posted by: LongT | April 1, 2008, 11:28 am 11:28 am
No, I think she would make a good Rocky. Maybe the dummy punching bag Rocky uses to practice on, like the way Obama uses her to practice for mcCain.

longtree – To me the only political contest that could possibly be interesting is one in which the outcome would make a difference. With professional politicians, regardless of party, it’s the same old business. Is Obama a professional politician? Despite the public appearances, it’s hard to say at this point.

Maybe this could be a foreshadow of whats to come, Hillary did make it halfway but not quite far enough; Obama will wind up the winner.
Posted by: merle7 | April 1, 2008, 11:36 am 11:36 am
The analogy is a distortion (which is o doubt why it appeals to Clinton).
Number 1: Rocky wouldnt fight dirty (Hillary does).
Number 2: In boxing, there is always a chance to win by knock-out, even if you are too far behind in points to catch up (HIllary is too far behind on points to catch up, but there is no knock out punch in the Democratic nomination process).
Number 3: Rocky wouldnt not behave in a way that would harm the sport of boxing as a while. (Hillary has and continues to put the Democratic Party at great risk, unecessarily).
Number 4: Barack Obama’s story is a much better fit with the Rocky story. Obama is the true underdog. He has overcome a literal onslaught of dirty campaign tactics by the Clinton Camp. They keep punching him, but he just keeps on getting up, fighting fair, and winning. Obama is inspiring as Rocky is inspiring.

russel, chill it out, do not continue to insult people because they donot agree with your choice, that is too low. Democratic principles underline the respect for others’ choice and decision, you can continue to insult that shows that you are unhappy and angry but that will not change anyone here to the contrary will just help to reaffirm that Obama’supporters have made the best choice. Bill Clinton can praise Mccain as his beloved wife “Hill the Bosnian sniper” has done, but that will not change anything in the democrats’side. Maybe the plan is that BHill will help republicans and if McCain wins Hillary will get the post of Secretary of States for Irak’ Affairs with extended mission to Kosovo. God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08.

Anyone else find this pathetic? She plays the gender card saying the boys are trying to force her out, then denies it, and now compares herself to Rocky.
Can this get any weirder? I honestly think if aliens landed on this planet and watched the Clintons they would be baffled why she’s even being taken seriously at this point. But I guess we’re so desensitized that some people still think she’s credible.
This is turning into great comedy. . . tragic comedy. I along with other Americans at one point felt sorry for her, but now that pity is turning into anger for what she’s doing to the Party and our nation.

I admire Hillary Clinton so much- she is getting bullied big time by Obama surrogates, by the national media, and by Obama’s fervent bloggers–yet she fights on despite the non so subtle sexism that no one really questions.
The race is in a statistical dead heat- NEITHER can get to the magical number without superdelegates- which means we don’t have a clear winner. Why should she give up when the race is this tight?
With Obama to the left of her and McCain to the right- of the three candidates left standing- she is the best choice for this moderate Democrat.

As Frank Rich pointed out last Sunday, Hillary KNOWINGLY fabricated the details of her landing in Bosnia, and she did so repeatedly, shamelessly, even after she was entirely revealed as a fabulator worthy of the hoariest backlot Hollywood schlockmeister. So — Let it go on and on and on and on. The truth, as it did in the case of her trip to the “war zone”, will come out. It always does. the last aria has not been sung, and the Valkyrie has yet to exhaust her lungs. And as the race continues to the bitterest end, I hope that Senator Clinton’s many supporters are entirely satisfied that she did this to herself. That she exhausted her every chance.
Continue to run Hillary as we wait for the inevitable “Tap Out” from the Clintons.

With all due respect to Dr. Maya Angelou, I prefer the words of Ethel Kennedy:
In an unusually enthusiastic statement that calls Obama “a magnetic force” and compares the freshman Illinois senator favorably to her husband, a senator from New York when he was gunned down in Los Angeles campaigning for the California Democratic primary in 1968, Ethel Kennedy said:
“Over these past few years, I’ve watched Senator Obama inspire….
Americans from all walks of life to believe in real change and a new sense of hope and possibility. He’s a magnetic force, drawing the nation together for the common good and galvanizing us all to help shape our country’s future.
“Barack is so like Bobby, who struggled for the rights of the poor in the Mississippi Delta and Appalachia, traveled to California to stand in solidarity with Cesar Chavez and farm workers, and fought to end another war that cost so many lives.
“Today, we crave a leader with vision who can help us regain our lost humanity and rekindle our inherent generosity. With courage, caring, and charisma, Senator Obama is leading us toward a kinder, gentler world.”
Do you think she’s for him? But wait, there’s a little more:
“Senator Obama’s candidacy sends out ‘ripples of hope’ that can build a ‘current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.’ I am proud to support Barack Obama, and look forward to him leading this country toward a brighter, more hopeful future.”

“When it comes to lobbyists, Senator Obama’s words might sound nice but voters need to make sure they read the fine print. Despite trying to give the impression that he has no relationship with lobbyists or special interests, the reality is that Senator Obama takes money from people who hire lobbyists, partners of lobbyists, spouses of lobbyists, former lobbyists and state lobbyists.”

With all of the incessant virtual poll numbers displayed by Clinton supporters, I have to ask you this:
Let’s see a show of hands, please: How many of you are willing to be so petulant, childish, petty, ignorant, self-defeating and foolish as to vote for John McCain and a literal THIRD BUSH TERM, when Clinton final throws in the towel. Anyone?
Would you be OK with perpetual war, invading Iran, no global warming plan, the overturn of Roe v. Wade and an overwhelming, unassailable majority of right-wing ideologues like Scalia and Thomas on the Supreme Court, endless tax giveaways to oil companies and the super-rich, continued torture, eavesdropping the use of the our Constitution and Bill of Rights as neocon toilet paper? WOULD YOU?
I think you’re just venting because a vote for McCain is a vote for ALL of these hideous policies. Think long and hard before voting for John W. McBush, my friends. The nation you may destroy out of spite and pettiness may be your own, and I guarantee you’ll be wondering what happened looking for someone else to point fingers at.

Straight Shooting From Tuzla
In a recent e-mail message to a British blogger, Ejup Ganic, who was the acting president of Bosnia during Mrs. Clinton’s visit, wrote: “I remember that visit quite well. Although the NATO troops were in Tuzla, we still believed that some positions on the hills were occupied by radical Serbs, so I was worried about the overall safety.” The planned welcoming ceremony was shortened, he said, but it still lasted a bit longer than expected because a nongovernment group brought along a little girl to sing to the first lady.
Later, Mrs. Clinton flew from Tuzla to two military outposts by helicopter, escorted by Apache gunships.

Who does Obama compare himself to? Who would be his heroes? If we look at his friends, we have Rezko from Syria who takes money from Iraqui billionaires, Ayers who maybe bombed the Pentagon, Khalidi who supported the PLO and Obama making speeches for the PLO at Khalidi’s house with his anti-american wife Michelle at his side, and Reverend Wright who is Obama’s spiritual mentor, and Wright and Farrakhan have been to Libya to visit with Quaddafi together, and then there is….well, probably some ace reporter at MSNBC, CNN or maybe FOX news may have a report coming up of some of Obama’s other heroes. At least Rocky Balboa is a fighter and he is always for the good Americans.

Hillary Never Gives Up!
This statement is absolutely true. Remember she never gave up on her bed-hopping husband even when he showed he had nothing left in him for her? Well, what makes you guys think she will quit now? She doesn’t have any other choice and probably doesn’t even realize that. No plan B. Totally hopeless and lost and no clue what else to do other charging forward and doging sniper fire. And you know what, those handlers around her (so called advisors), they want this thing to continue so that they can go on profiteering on the campaign contributions money that broke blue-collar workers and old women (probably with no health care)keep on giving to her campaign. Come on people, someone is being taken for a wild ride here and I dare say it is the gullible uninformed supporters who can’t tell the difference between persistence and stupity.

I agree with gerald. Having a new president every four years protects the country from corruptions that inevitably come with long lasting power. I really don’t think this Bush-Clinton cycle is a good idea.

Clinton Supporters – If Hillary is a better candidate for President, why is she losing, and inevitably bow out?
If she has such rock solid experience, why does she need to lie over and over about something that she clearly knew was not true?
WHY will Hillary be like the plague when she returns to the Senate?
Why? Why? Why?
I’m from another planet. Could you explain it to me?

Don’t take it personal Mary. No matter who the candidates are, having two families back to back four times doesn’t sound like a good idea.

It’s 3am and the red phone is ringing.
“Hello, is this Ms. Clinton?
“Which Ms. Clinton do you mean”
“Hillary Clinton.”
“Who’s calling”
“This the ABC Event Management Co.”
“Oh,(The voice changes a little, the pitch is a little higher.) Oh, I’m Chelsea Clinton; my mother is not in yet. Would you like to leave a message?”
“Yeah. Tell her I need my money; when is she going to pay my bill? I sent it out three times.”
“She probable didn’t get your letter. I’ll be glad to tell her you called. But she’s not in now; She’s in Bosnia dodging sniper bullets and bringing peace to the region. You care to leave a message?”
“Darn right, you tell that biotch if I don’t get my money within 24 hours there will be a sniper out to blow her arse away.”
The phone is slammed down and Hillary stumbles off to bed just as Bill sneaks in carrying his shoes in his hands.

We had 8 good economic years with the Clintons and we will fight to get Hillary in for another good 8 years!

McCain is a person a lot of people like personally including me. I dont think he will attack Obama or Clinton with karl rove kind of politics.
If only his policies on iraq were less ideological and more fact based, i would have supported him. I am just a little concerned about going republican after all the bush years.

If Hillary wants to speak truth about this comparison then she should say:
“I did/do not have any comparisionship wiht that Man (Balboa)”
“There would be sniper fire if I compared myself with him in any other way”
Please don’t disgrace Rocky Balboa. He was not a pathetic lier like Hillary Or Bill.

I think it’s good that Clinton wants to stay in. I think it’s GREAT that Obama is a liar and racist! Keep on Dem’s, the GOP loves this……it’s going to be an easy win for McCain. Hillary would be tough, but Obama, well, he has lied so much, is a proven racist, has no substance, etc, etc, etc……he will be such an easy win in November! McCain vs. NoBama….McCain in a LANDSLIDE!!!!!!!

Point to remember:
The last time the Clintons were in power, Hillary spent all of her time on health care, yet it didn’t get anywhere.
Experience was the crux of her campaign for a while, then the details of her blatant lies about her “recollection” of those trips came to light. Even then, she could not call it a lie.
Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush – indicates that only the very wealthy and politically entrenched are being sent to the White House. No one wants a 3rd term for Bill Clinton (that’s why the constitution denied that privledge), and one would know that he would play a big role, aka third term.
Posted by: AnnieS | April 1, 2008, 1:26 pm 1:26 pm
Let me be clear: I believe that the Clinton campaign has been simply tragic. It is an object lesson in failed promise and panicked, unstable, virulent war-game tactics. It has been marked by shallowness of the first order, and by the relentlessly divisive behavior of a cynical staff. In some ways, it appears to be rubbing off on Clinton supporters.
You’ve read the writing on the wall and it clearly says OBAMA 08. Just accept that and stop embarrassing yourselves like Hillary continues to do. With 3 weeks before Penn, the world is waiting for Hillary to pull another one of her disastrous gaffs AGAIN!
Don’t be such a sourpussies. She did this to herself and you point fingers at Obama supporters??? Stop sucking lemons. It drains common sense and intelligence.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has repeatedly out of the horse’s mouth (his or hers) shown the depth of it’s integrity which is low. No way Rocky would be insulted that he ever lied, cheated, or TRIED TO BUY A MATCH. Hillary keeps sliding the race card in and actually she has never said openly she and John McCain admired Barry Goldwater a disgrace in my opinion to politics. He stood on the school steps to bar black students during desegregation, and OPENLY TO THE SHAME OF EVERYONE CALLED BLACKS N*****S. The truth will all be told in the end. Her web page calls her a goldwater girl.

I understand Mary, Clinton era was much better than Bush era but we can do better than that and we need to do better than that. Honestly I cannot wait to see Obama give a powerful speech to Iraqis and believe me that’s what works in middle east. A new face that people don’t hate. Obama is a powerful speaker, is from a diverse family and can relate to diverse groups of people. Even his middle name is going to help him there. He is not going to compromise on his duties, we all know that. We can not end terrorism by just fighting, we should remove hatred toward Americans, that’s the real source of trouble. I think we all agree that if one person is able to clean Bush-made hatred, that is Obama, not McCain, not Hillary.

Hillary is more knowledgeable, that’s why Obama does not like debates. The contrasts on their knowledge of the issues is blatantly obvious when they have debates. It’s pretty pathetic that with all the years of knowing Hillary, all these people have is a Bosnia and Rocky statement to get “excited” about over and over. So she didn’t have to duck her head in actual war zone Bosnia. However, I don’t think Obama’s daughter’s were able to duck from their racist/hate filled minister’s influence. Doesn’t matter why someone preaches hate to the masses; nothing can justify HATE FILLED THEOLOGY. Obama’s ship is SUNK. Hillary will sail over it or McCain will be the new prez.

Supporters who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, or is it hypocrisy you share with your leader? Obama is no different from Hillary as far as making up stories or exaggerating (relationship with Wright, Rezko, Selma speech, college professor, etc.). For some reason, Hillary is held to a higher standard that Obama or most politicians. If FL and MI were counted, Hillary would be ahead right now so quit whining and let the process continue. After all, Hillary is winning the majority of democrats in the primaries. I for one am not crazy about nominating someone who is ahead in the democratic race because of independents. Or do you fear that something else negative about your leader might be uncovered?

Obama has shown he’s able to work with republicans and independents has shown what his values are. The fact that Republicans are happy working with him doesn’t make him a republican. That Rev. Wright is a racists doesn’t make him a racist. This is what happens when you listen to ALL PEOPLE and maintain your integrity. He build things based on common sense not division. Are you electing the new president based on the pattern? No one intentionally created this circle, it just happened. Tell me how bad the years were with old Bush? Tell me how bad Clinton was during those 8 years? Do you expect Obama would be much better and capable? So you chose him because you want a different name after Bush? I’d rather vote for McCain! I’ve tried many times to like Obama, but for some reasons I just can’t – his look, arrogance, the fact that people are ignorant of his own lies, flip flops, low transparency, bad judgments, etc., all played a role.

DON’T BE DUPED !!!
Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses from early on. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.
But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).
I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-selves, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.
You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-selves.
Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. She also leads in the electoral college numbers that you must win to become President in the November national election. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!
As much as 30% of Obama’s primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.
Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 4 and 5 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.
If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.
The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket. Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.
I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history.
The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.
Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.
“This is not a game” (Hillary Clinton)
Sincerely
jacksmith…

Hillary & the Old Guard Democrats still playing the race card. Typical Old Guard tactic.
Yes – The Great White Hope! Interesting Spin. She has gone from #1 Contender to a Pretender. Now she conjures up this underdog card.
Senator Obama has shown us that he is quite capable of doing his own campaigning, knows what hard work is and is capable of being able to speak for himself.
Wherever Hillary goes, for example, here in Pa. that in Harrisburg, Redneck Rendell, Barbara Hafer, & the Old Guard Democrats have to come out take her by the hand & set the table for her.
What is it with this Hillary?? All we hear is she needs more money, more help, more pot, more medicine, more pep & energy, more photo opts, more organization, Anything to remake her image to appear Presidential.

I really think the media has been unfair to Clinton. So much negativity toward her, and hardly anything said about Obama. It’s a sad day when the Media has to be so biased in these issues. Hillary is definitely the better candidate, has solid proposals, experience, agressiveness, and fortitude. I feel Obama lost when he supported Wright and the race card, even though it is working in the primaries, will never fly in the General Election. The Republicans have a way of digging up ALL the dirt on the Dems and there seems to be a lot more dirt to be dumped on Obama. Think of this: John McCain was a prisoner of war for 5 years, that alone, versus Obama attended and supported a racist church and pastor for 20 years. You can bet the GOP’s are going to be pounding this point alone down the throats of voters in the GE. Added to the fact that CNN reported that 75% of original Obama supporters stated if he had been vetted earlier, they would not have voted for him. I only see Obama carrying mainly the black vote, a few radical white votes, but everyone else will go for McCain. The media knows this….watch what happens if Obama wins the nomination. The media will support McCain, Obama will be history. Sorry, Obamamaniacs, the writing is on the wall for your candidate.

The Clintons are liars and thieves; always have been, always will be. Obama is the appropriate choice for the Democratic nomination; a true liberal with twenty years of indoctrination. It will be a clear choice for American voters between McCain and Obama…we do not need any more of the Clintons.

I bet she has dreams of anglo men with white robes on just sitting in a room plotting to take out Obama.
She sits in a dark room all alone saying to herself. If I wait just a little longer maybe they will try to hurt him, then its all mine.

As a woman, I’m embarrassed that other women haven’t thrown Hillary to the curb for her constant pathological lies. She’s coming across as mentally unstable and making women look bad!!
The Bosnia thing is as creepy as the Chelsea jogging around the Towers on 911, her being named after Sir Edmund Hillary, and her bs about not knowing about Monica, as well as the other women her husband assaualted.
She needs to retire from the Senate as well. We need real, honest women in politics. She’s too creepy.

And the media has been nice to her! If she were a Republican they’d be calling for her to be institutionalized!
Obama needs to use this to his advantage. This world don’t need another wacko!

But Hillary, Rocky Balboa had virtues (i.e., honesty, integrity, fairness). Rocky also started out at the bottem. You started out with huge advantages (e.g., past first lady, name recognition, washington insider connections).

Well at least Obama has his Syrian friend Rezko to compare himself to, and Rezko’s Iraqui billionaire friend who sends all the money to Rezko in Chicago, and Obama has Ayers and the Woods Fund, and the Arab American Action Network that supports the PLO, and Obama’s friend Khalidi that Obama makes speeches in support of the PLO with his anti-american wife Michelle at his side, and did you see the puppet story on MSNBC that Hamas is teaching hatred to their children with puppets? Which leads us to TUCC, which teaches hatred too, just white hatred, American hatred, Jewish and Catholic hatred, but their getting their web site scrubbed so pretty soon everything will look a okay for Obama there, except that Obama’s two little girls have been subjected to that hatred their entire lives. But Rocky, now how dare Hillary, the girl, compare herself to a fighter. It’s obvious the big boys want her out, but she won’t leave, and the Democratic party will be better and stronger for it. Good-bye all you left wingers. Go make a new party. Democrats do not want you.

HILARY IS REALLY MAKING A COMPLETE FOOL OF HERSELF. MORE SIGNS OF DESPARATION. AND THERE’S MOREGOOD NEWS FOR HER…(CNN) — A key Hillary Clinton supporter appeared to be a bit off message during a recent interview with a Canadian radio station.
“If I had to make a prediction right now, I’d say Barack Obama is going to be the next president,” Missouri Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said in a Canadian public radio interview this weekend. “I will be stunned if he’s not the next president of the United States.”
Cleaver, an African-American, endorsed Clinton’s White House bid last year and formally remained aligned with the New York senator even as other black leaders shifted their support to Barack Obama.
But after his district voted for Obama in the February 5 primary, Cleaver did indicate he would consider voting for the Illinois senator at the party’s convention if the delegate count was extremely tight between the two candidates.
In the Canadian radio interview, Cleaver made clear he doesn’t expect Clinton to overtake Obama, comparing his support of the New York Democrat to that of his hometown losing football team.
“Even though I don’t expect the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Indianapolis Colts, I cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs,” he said.

I will remember that moment until the day I die. When I learned what really happened I felt sick. That this woman could tell that lie told me that she believe we are all fools. Well me and some of my friend have gotten together and are campaigning for Barack.

It was already hard to believe that Senator Clinton misspoke about her trip to Tuzla. After listening to her make the Rocky Balboa analogy, the sense of a deliberate can only grow stronger.
Indeed, there seems to be an obsession of HRC with action movies heroes. So it was only one leap away before she eventually took herself for one of them.

Bill Clinton has been reduced to a pathetic figure unable to complete a sentence without a reference to himself. Too bad to see that Hillary has adopted this same posture. And as for Hillary’s face, I am reminded of a book I read as a child: “The Portrait of Dorian Gray.” All of the ugliness of his sins caught up with him. Even though he is an ex-convict (lying to federal grand jury, obstruction of justice, and even though he had his license to practice law stripped from him, and even though he no longer has public employees (Arkansas National Guard) running him to see his many “mistresses, even after Monica Lewinsky, Jennifer Flowers and a host of others, many Americans still supported him, but not any more.

“Um….Senator? Rocky lost.”
Maybe it wasn’t an oversight – maybe she’s saying that glory is bestowed to all who finish when close races get decided by others, and that she knows she’s not likely to win. It could be an oversight, like how she was picking theme songs which had lyrics that had messages which contradicted her platforms – like who here knew Rocky actually lost? I didn’t. But such a high-profile analogy is pretty major . . . I think the message she’s giving out is that there’s dignity in ‘defeat’ when the race is this close. Because she’s not exactly an ‘underdog’ . . .

I think that’s the movie HRC was referring to is the original Rocky,Rocky 1, where Rocky does have a victory. I think the movie the prognostication is based on is a later one. It’s really a shame that some journalists just like to give her throws and a rocky time. But Hillary has a repeat history of being resilient to their punches and picking herself up immediately after the hard knockdowns.

Reading these post make me crack up! I love it when the Dems’ are fighting and their supporters are fighting even harder. Let me say that the media HAS played a MAJOR role in this election. They have been pro-Obama for a reason…..he will be easy for McCain to defeat in November if they can take the wind out of Clinton’s sail. So far, they are succeeding. If Obama wins the nomination, get ready for the “real” mud to sling, not this petty stuff. Obama will NEVER be President, and I can say this, I voted for him. However, if he had been vetted earlier, like the other 80% of his supporters I would not have voted for him because, just like Clinton, he is a liar, the only exception is that he is a racist liar, dividing our country, but he wants us to accept the pretense that he is trying to unify it with change. The only “change” Obama is campaigning for is divisiness in our union. I’ve noticed that he has taken the word “hope” out of his campaign slogan….that figures. Neither of the Dems candidates are worth a vote, however, I don’t want to vote for the GOP either. My prayer, sincerely, is that the Democratic party can rebound, but I don’t think so this time…..the Republicans will rule for 4 more years.

The First Rocky: Rocky Balboa is a struggling boxer trying to make the big time. The match is supposed to be easily won by Creed, but someone forgot to tell Rocky, who sees this as his only shot at the big time. Rocky Balboa 2006: Rocky agrees to come out of retirement and face an opponent who’s faster, stronger and thirty years his junior. With the odds stacked firmly against him, Rocky takes on Dixon in what will become the greatest fight in boxing history, a hard-hitting, action-packed battle of the ages.
Hillary vs. Obama = Rocky vs. Dixon = Moral Victory for us old “typical white people” who used to believe in the old Democratic party. Hey, at least Hillary is saying she will make it up the steps!

After Iowa she did the weepy thing and got all the old gals to vote for her in New Hampshire.. She’s supposed to stand on her own two feet, yet she has Bill out there day in and out laying the ground work for her. No one is paving the way for Senator Obama!!! So who really is tougher? Someone who goes out on their own to fight the fight and is still beating Clinton or someone who has an ex popular President clearing the brush for her because the fact is, she really couldn’t do this unless she was the wife of an ex president.
Last week we found out she wanted to be Rambo, landing in Bosnia and dodging sniper fire…..this week she wants to be Rocky Balboa.

Hillary’s efforts to capitalize on the image of Rocky Balboa comes across as an absolute fraud. Rocky Balboa represents the good in our country. Hillary misses the mark by a wide margin. Her deception, her ruthlessness, her manipulations and her selfishness does not represent the good in our country.

If Hillary becomes US president, it would be roughly 24 years of just 2 american families running the white house. Has america run out of other people with the ability to be president? It’s been bush – clinton – bush and now, clinton. Maybe Chelsea will take over from her mom. It’s a shame. Why complain about other power freaks around the world?

I deeply admire Hillary for both her tenacity and willingness to keep fighting and never give up. She is an excellent role model for us all. The point that Hillary is making by comparing herself to Rocky is that she won’t give up, no matter what the pressure or odds are against her until it’s over. These traits would make her a great President. She’s a very strong woman which some people just can’t handle or understand.

There are plenty of those, and the image would be far more inspiring to young women? I hope the older women (such as myself) are as disgusted I am. I was in the audience the day Hillary related her story about her “harrowing” trip to Boznia. She was no more than thirty feet from me. She appeared to be looking me straight in the eyes. As she told her story I was thinking: What a woman. She laughed (cackled) as she told her story which I thought was somewhat inappropriate. But I was so proud of her and I was prepared to go out and campaign on her behalf. Imagine how insulted I felt when I learned it was all a big lie. Now, several of my friend who were also there have formed a group and are fervently campaigning AGAINST her.

She is just wasting our time and spending donor’s money with impunity since the money is not hers. She already knows she will lose, but she is purposely destroying Sen. Obama so that he might not win the general election against McCain.

Hillary Clinton needs to pay her bills, release her tax records, stop jiffing the people who believe in her, and stop blaming Obama for all her problems. He keeps saying it’s ok for her to run and he said time after time Mich & Fl should be able to fairly vote. She keeps her crowds booing and complaining with her whimpering that everyone wants to do this or that to her. Hillary just knows how to keep her supporters, the press, and who ever else will listen distracted. This is just another lie a fighter is someone who stands even in the face of defeat with honesty and integrity. She is more like the guy who is losing, who throws sand in the other guys eyes, picks up a chair, a rock a bottle, and stuggles like hell to win and still loses. I am sorry she is running as the first woman candidate for president only because she has lost all dignity in this race. Americans do not owe Hillary Clinton anything, Bill Clinton does, and we certainly dont owe her the American presidency.

Then when someone dares to confront this stuff with the truth for some reason everyone has done Hillary wrong song plays again, and again, and again. Why is it evil to call good good and bad bad, and Hill is a very bad girl. I know a lot of wives with cheating spouses think we should martyr her because of it. I do not. Obama will never be the “first African American” president even if he gets elected because by law he is not African American,..you must be 12.5% of any given heritage to call yourself a particular race and Obama is only 6.25% African.
Read about it here:
http://kennethelamb.blogspot.com/2008/02/barak-obama-questions-about-ethnic.html
Incredible!! It is amazing that people assume he is African American. He can legally call himself Caucasion or Arab-American but not African-American.

She’s got to keep her campaign alive with something. First it was the ducking bullets story till it got shot down. Now at least she goes right to the movie and claims that’s who she is.
I saw this tactic in a jury trial, the dealer’s high powered lawyer brought up the Serpico movie and asked if we had seen it because he was trying to cast doubt on the police officers who raided a crack house.

Federal law requires that to claim a minority status, you must be at least 1/8 of the descriptor, but for the sake of this article, I’ve converted it to a decimal fraction for easier comprehension. You must be at least 12.5% of the racial component you claim for minority status. Mr. Obama, claiming to be African-American, is half the legal threshold.
Again, to let it sink in: Mr. Obama is not legally African-American. It is impossible for him to be, in truth, America’s first African-American president.
Yet claiming to be African-American is the soul and substance of his claim to fame. It is what he has used throughout his adult life to distinguish himself from other competitors. It is the ethnic identity he proclaims, and it is the ethnic identity he craves. Without it, he is just another mixed race Caucasian Arab with an African influence playing on his skin’s pigmentation.
But no matter what he craves, no matter what he has used to propel himself through life, no matter the racist presumption of seeing his skin and without question calling him black, the hard, cold, genetically inarguable reality remains: he is not an African-American.
Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian, that from his mother. What those who want Mr. Obama to write history by becoming “America’s first African-American president” ignore is that his father was ethnically Arabic, with only 1 relative ethnically African Negro – a maternal great-grandparent (Sen. Obama’s great-great grandparent, thus the 6.25% ethnic contribution to the senator’s ethnic composition.).
That means that Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side. He is 43.75% Arabic, and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side.
Put another way, his father could honestly claim African-American ethnic classification. He was the last generation able to do so.
Sen. Obama could honestly say, “My father was African-American.” Racist presumptions led an Ivy League admissions committee, and lazy “newspapers of record” factcheckers, to presume that if his father is African-American, then Sen. Obama must be African-American also.
But it doesn’t work that way. Racist presumptions coupled with sloppy vetting don’t turn a lie into the truth.
Sen. Obama is one generation too far removed from the ethnic African Negro input to make the same claim as his father, Harvard’s Admission’s stamp of approval notwithstanding.
As you can see for yourself, Sen. Obama’s African-American ethnic claim, when properly researched and documented, is a lie.

Be for real you sound like you are hysterical just like Clinton. I would not have to say I am black to be called black if I was dark enough, that would be defined for me. Obama saying I am not black would be like Tiger when he said it and all I could see was that he was.
Posted by: Gawania | April 1, 2008, 11:49 pm 11:49 pm

You people who have nothing better to do than trash Hillary, what have you ever accomplished? Hillary has worked hard all her life to help this country. Have any of you read any of her biographies? She is a remarkable woman. It is sad to see a biased press attack her on minor details. They nit-pick every word she says, while no one has brought to light the many outrageous lies Obama has told. In one of the debates he was asked about his relationship with indicted fellon Tony Rezko, and he answered,”My only relationship to that individual is that I did 5 hours of legal work for him as part of my law firm.” I guess Mr. Obama forgot about having known Rezko for 20 years, and I guess he forgot that Rezko helped him buy his 1 1/2 million dollar house and I guess he forgot that Rezko has raised $200,000 for him throughout the years! I’ll take Mrs. Clinton’s little exagerations over Obama’s HUGE LIES any day!

This is more the Rocky Horror Show than Rocky Balboa, when it should be the Great Ali. One is reminded of the old rope a dope. The champ has his back to the ropes, while the monster contender throws everything she can at him including the kitchen sink. The crowd gasps in horror as the champ takes punch after punch. Then with a grin on his face, the champ comes off the ropes and in a few deft moves, dispatches the exhausted contender. Wham, Bam, and Obama is off to the White House.

If Sen. Obama is the Democratic nominee, it would be a big mistake! I am sure the Republicans are going to make Rev. Wright his running-mate in the fall. They will tie Rev. Wright around Sen. Obama’s neck like an albatross! Having not won even a one major state during the primaries and having manipulated the caucuses with small groups of zealots, but now not in play for the presidential election, Mr. Obama is going to find himself stuck! Remember, old Ralph is in the game too. That will be end of story for Democrats. The best chance of winning the White House for the Democrats is still with Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton’s “Red Phone” SNL scenarios with panicking and chain smoking Barak Obama– we think as comedy. But those SNL skits are like the closest we come to discovering the truth about Barak Obama’s real experience. The point is not the fact that Barak was a long time smoker; and we don’t know the consequences he has to face as a result, even if he lives in the White House, but the fact those skits were effective; stated as comedy, when there’s a real prohibition in the media about saying anything positive about Hillary Clinton and anything negative about Barak Obama. Anyway, those skits were convincing and it felt like closest to the truth, while all what we see in the newscasts about Sen. Obama seemed hyped up and made up by the adoring media.

She’s my hero; my shinning night in armor who fights relentlessly for us humble folk like us, the downtrodden and the disenfranchised, the shift workers, the poor, the ridiculed, the neglected; we the toilers for our hourly wagers, the elderly and the disabled, she’s our champion! For us she cuts a heroic figure, because she keeps on fighting for us! With her determination and tenacity she had shown she’s more than ready to lead our great land; and with the help of humble folks like us─ not like snobs in the media, I know some of you in the media want to burn her on a stake, but at the end mark my words I know she will triumph over all adversity; I know she’s make history! Hillary Clinton is my Joan of Arc!

Did anyone else notice Hillary’s slip up?
Hillary was trying to say she was just like Rocky, but didn’t even know what she was talking about.
“I never get up.”
Give me a break. If you’re going to tell us your like our hero, know what you’re talking about.

Think about this. If Hillary becomes US president, it would be roughly 24 years of just 2 american families running
the white house. Has america run out of other people with the ability to be president? What about the rest of us?
It’s been bush – clinton – bush and now, clinton. Maybe Laura Bush will take over from Hillary and then Chelsea
Clinton from Laura. It’s a shame. It makes us look stupid to the world. Why complain about other power freaks around the world?

Bill Clinton’s company, WJC Investments, LLC, is part owner of an offshore bill payment company called EZ Bill. It is an operation in India. Mrs. Clinton is a big supporter of foreign labor, referring to herself as Hillary Clinton (D) Punjab. She has pushed to get H1B visas increased to 195,000 per year and she is co-chair of the Senate India Caucus, A Project Of The U.S.- India Political Action Committee. It’s hard to believe Hillary’s rhetoric about saving U.S. jobs when one anti-offshoring group awarded her a “Weasel Award” for jobs offshoring.

Hillary Clinton is Not the Most
qualified candidate for president!
The First Lady Papers she finally released show that her so called
experience is highly exaggerated!
The NAFTA LIE and the Bosnia LIE prove that she is untrustworthy!
She will end this primary contest bloodied and battered and losing to
Obama! Deal with it!

Wrong Comparison!
Pinnochio is Hillary’s role model!
In fact Hillary has told so many lies
during this campaign that she could
play Cyrano De Begerac on Broadway!

reganfan— And Barack has not? Do you think we don’t know? Pants up or pants down doesn’t fool us, we know what you’r talking out of.

Wrong Comparison!
The proper comparison is to Pinnochio!
In fact Hillary has told so many lies
during this primary season that she
can play Cyrano De Bergerac on
Broadway!

BikernAz:
First off you should learn how to spell
reagan! Second, it’s you Dems who are
always fooling around with each others
pants, like Barney Frank and
Jim McGreevey!
Bottom line is Hillary is Pinnochio in
a pantsuit!

Regan—First off you should know that I could care less about how you spell your name. Second off you are stereo typing democrats. You should also know that I could care less about that as I am an Independant. And the bottom line is that Obama lies just like Hillary lies. Deal with it.

Crying Hillary—Muds? I might be immature but Iv’e been around long enough to know that you don’t have multiple mud.

Reganfan—So if it’s a cheap lie then they shouldn’t lie about it? Your man Obama has lied about some pretty significant issues. The problem that you have is that those lies don’t count. Hillary’s lies do. That is your small world and it only revolves around Obama. It’s the pants up or pants down thing again. We know where your talking from.

I think Senator Clinton said it all..”I never quit and I never GET up.” Talk about Freudian.

Obama philosophy: Deny and destroy. Don’t pay for your mistakes. Deny ever hearing or seeing anything. If you don’t want to pay for your mistakes just get rid of them or blame someone else.

Hillary Clinton Claims She Was The Original Rocky
In one of the most shocking revelations of her career, Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton told a meeting Tuesday of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Union that she was initially chosen to play the part of the famous character, Rocky Balboa from the movie “Rocky”.
Speaking with the popular theme song from “Rocky” playing in the background, Hillary Clinton spoke of her audition and her being part of initial filming.
“You know back in 1976, if I had not opted out of the movie then my statue would have been where Sylvester Stallone’s is today,” Senator Clinton mentioned referring to the statue of Stallone beside the steps outside the Philadelphia Spectrum Arena.
Hillary Clinton’s announcement raised a spectrum of questions from reporters with “why she left the movie” common with everyone.
In a somber tone Senator Clinton said, “You know there were several reasons I had to opt out of the movie, and I will tell all of you here those reasons today. Firstly, when the original script was read out to me, the film ended with Rocky Balboa throwing the fight after realizing she did not want to be part of the professional boxing world after all and let me tell you I am no quitter.”
“But the most significant incident that sealed my decision was while running up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I could not do that as I was under a cloud of sniper fire. I had to constantly duck and rush up the steps and the directors were not comfortable with that. So there I was opting out of “Rocky” but I am glad that Sylvester Stallone did justice to my role,” Senator Clinton added with sigh of satisfaction.
Amidst loud applause to her announcement, Hillary Clinton continued by telling her amused audience that even to this date, she is not a quitter just like her incomplete role in “Rocky”. “You know, there is so much similarity, “Rocky Balboa” character knew that she could not beat Apollo Creed, yet Sylvester Stallone in reprising the role took Creed to the limit leaving him badly bashed and bloodied.” The New York senator added that she, like Rocky, wasn’t a quitter.
Shortly after the announcement, political analysts got busy figuring out Hillary Clinton’s reason for revealing an un-authored part of her life. According to Phil Gogh, a political scientist and Democrat strategist, Hillary may have played her masterstroke.
“The way I see it, she wants to bring a more human touch to her candidacy. Hillary’s intention may have been to show that she is a human being just as everyone else, capable of inflating a mere imagination of mind into a hyperbole with the aim of impressing her peers,” Mr. Gogh suggested.
Meanwhile, the announcement by Senator Hillary Clinton caught Sylvester Stallone, the actor who eventually played the part of “Rocky Balboa” by surprise. According to sources in the entertainment industry close to the actor, he tried calling the New York Senator to find out if her revelation was true but the phone was answered by Chelsea Clinton who told him “that it was none of his business.”
