Clinton Adviser: She’s Fighting to Last Primary
ABC News Radio’s Ann Compton reports: Accusing Sen. Barack Obama of being "scared" of campaigning in West Virginia, Clinton adviser Terry McAuliffe tells ABC News Radio in an interview to air tonight that Sen. Hillary Clinton will remain in the race through the last primary on June 3rd, "100 percent."
McAuliffe argues there are still six-million registered Democrats in five states voting in the final primaries.
Listen to the full interview HERE.
McAuliffe says he will worry about campaign debt after the primaries end June 3rd, claiming that online fundraising remains "steady " for Clinton, and that the campaign has just bought additional advertising time in Oregon and Kentucky and is opening more offices in the final primary states.
Obama has now passed Clinton in the number of superdelegates publicly committed, but McAuliffe claims there "hasn’t been the avalanche" of pundits predicted after the narrow Indiana vote last week.
When asked about the chemistry between the two Democrats, McAuliffe insisted they have "tremendous respect for one another." He added "there is no question they will have to work together in some capacity in the fall election" to elect a Democrat president.

Keep fighting, Hillary!
Fewer supers have endorsed Obama than expected after the last primaries. They’re waiting to back you, the only candidate they know can beat McCain.

If someone besides a Bush or Clinton was currently in office I suspect she would have had a better chance. Too many folks are ready for a REVOLUTION type change.

Democratic leaders said Obama needed to show Hillary respect, by slowly introducing the super delegates.
This would give Hillary time to realize the flow is against her without pushing her out.
Now the Clinton camp is claiming there hasn’t been the flow of super delegates since Indiana.
NOTE: More super delegates have announced their support for any candidate this week than during any previous week in 2008.

So long as you can keep your Bill in the cage Hillary, Obama will put you on the ticket. He is the uniter.
Posted by: Peace | May 13, 2008, 11:47 am 11:47 am
I say let all the votes be counted. That includes Florida and Michigan. One that is done, Hillary wil have won the popular vote. The uncommitted super delegates are sitting on the side line for a reason, and it’s not so that she can go out with dignity. They want to see who connects with mainstream Americans and can win in the general election. P.S. to Peace – Obama is smart, calculating, etc. but “uniter” is not a word that can be used to describe him. How about “lucky” that the media did not do their job and expose him (still don’t really – they frost everything over) before he got as far as he got.

Without Hillary, the dems will implode and lose the election. She won all the large important states. Let’s be real.
How can Obama will the presidency with a few southern and mid-atlantic states.
It will be impossible. You cannot win the presidency without Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. That is a known fact.
Posted by: Kathy | May 13, 2008, 12:02 pm 12:02 pm
Let’s give Hillary enough respect to have her day. She will probably win KY and SD too. With 3 wins, it will appear Hillary is making a comeback, but there aren’t enough delegates in those states to significantly impact Obama’s lead. Oregon will go Obama though.

Scared in a racist state? LOL No one ever accused Senator Obama of being stupid. WHY would he bother and put his life at risk? MANY of these people are the same mind set that have brought violence to this party before. Scared? Most would be of nut jobs with guns!
Posted by: Sam | May 13, 2008, 12:05 pm 12:05 pm
Those of you who are racists and insist that Obama can’t win any “white” states forget that Obama got his start with a big win in Iowa, which is a very white state. Some of us don’t care about the color or gender the candidate.
Posted by: Bill | May 13, 2008, 12:07 pm 12:07 pm
West Virginia is not the future of the Democratic party. Clinton can take 100% of the vote for all I care. When she gets stomped in the largest delegate state left, Oregon, then hopefully we’ll see her end the selfish streak and drop out like she should have done this week.
Posted by: Eric | May 13, 2008, 12:09 pm 12:09 pm
Sam: If Obama is scared to campaign in any state, he is not fit to be president. I should remind you that our president should be president to ALL THE PEOPLE. I can’t believe that he claims to be a uniter.

Whether Hillary wins or not doesn’t matter. Remember that she is making history by being the first woman in real contention for the white house. Whether you like it or not she is making history and is paving the way for future generations. She must stay in it till the end.

I noticed when i hear comments on ABCnews.com Some of you democrats are just as a bigot as any conservative republican, you show your true feelings about monorities particularly blacks when they are not voting for your candidate.Any other time Decratic voters would be open minded not a bunch of bigots, thats not really true.Only when it’s convenient to you that you act as if your not racist.
And to all the Obama haters, you can hate if you want to, but your wasting your time!

The Supers have gone to Obama 80% to 20% since Super Tuesday…and he leads in ALL polls and his winning amoung whites is up 5% since PA…..so all these Hillary fanatics need to stop and be realistic before Hillary takes your last dime to pay off her campaign debt….which is why she is in it until June 3rd.
He only needs 33 more pledged delegates to make the lead in pledged delegates insurmountable. He will have those by May 20th.
He now leads in Super delegates.
These are the facts that the media goes by in calling a winner.
The only margin that Hillary has won? Her campaign debt is higher than Obama’s…….but hey if you want to help her pay herself back that’s up to you. Why should she go without interest payments to herself and be able to get any money she put into HER campaign back? LOL ALL those donors? They are just OUT.
Reality is something that gets in the way of the facts for some people…..

Obama is not scared of any state. He is just spending his time and money where it will do the most good. With a predicted landslide in WV for Hillary and the relatively small number of delegates at stake there, there is no point in him spending a great deal of time and money there.
Posted by: Bill | May 13, 2008, 12:13 pm 12:13 pm
Let the remaining contests proceed without prejudice against Hillary and those who have every right to vote for her. I sure wouldn’t want to be on an Obama ticket and taking a second place, inconsequential position to a man. You know what will happen? Obama will constantly be bothering Hillary for advice, direction, and counsel, since he’s so inexperienced and disconnected with the real world. Essentially she’ll be the President, but without benefit of title, credit or recognition. Sadly, this is no different than how many other jobs function where a woman who is superior in every way to the man is shoved to the back.
Posted by: Terry | May 13, 2008, 12:15 pm 12:15 pm
First of all, I find it laughable that a person would post about how inhabitants of WV can’t read while they apparently can’t formulate a grammatically correct sentence. Nice.
Secondly, of COURSE she’s in it until the end. Anyone who really thought she’d throw in the towel when she has the Oval Office in her sights is incredibly naive.
Lastly, rather than show incredible immaturity and ignorance by railing against the people who populate a particular state of the Union, perhaps the posters here could stick to making intelligent statements that actually pertain to policy and procedure.

This is driving me nuts. Hillary supporters act like Obama is this terrible person and Hillary has done no wrong. Both have run negative campaigns at times, both have been caught saying something that has hurt them. To act like one candidate is perfect and the other is terrible is ridiculous. Hillary supports, are you really saying that she has never gone negative, never tried to scare up votes (3 am ad), never been caught “misspeaking”? Obama has his flaws but so does Hillary. What really matters are the issues. They have the same view on all the major issues and Hillary herself would tell you to vote for Obama over McCain. I am a Republican that supports Obama, but I guess if McCain wins then he will appoint two new Supreme Court judges and get Roe vs. Wade overturned which would make me happy but make women mad.

Obama has won in red states. Look at the map. Georgia, N.C., S.C., Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, etc. are “RED” states that will go to McCain. Obama has been lucky in a few other states including Iowa which is not capable of pickinga winner (they really need to do away with that silly Iowa caucus thing), but that was BEFORE the media started exposing his elitist attitude, his racist leanings, his wife’s anti-american, anti-white views, etc. Everytime he gets in trouble, he throws somebody under the bus. Hey, maybe it’s time he threw his wife under the bus along with his “crazy old uncle” spiritual advisor and his “typical white grandmother”.

Hillary is a terrible candidate in every dimension. Most of the people in the country do not like her and she has no inspirational ability – after decades of lying about every aspect of her life.
History will write it that way – now that we are out of this silly season of good old boy politics. Thank goodness.

Can anyone tell me how many super delegates Obama has received since Super Tuesday?
and how many has Clinton received?
even in california there are supers in areas SHE has won, that remain uncommitted. they do not want to over turn the will of the people, and are waiting for obama to become the nominee so they can back him just like the others….

And if she doesn’t work hard to win back her African American support, she might not be NY’s senator by 2012.

I hope that Hillary fights for her campaign through the August convention and WINS.
Enough of obama – he is ready to declare himself a winner? Of what? Of creating the largest mass of cult followers ever? I have read that only the most intelligent and most educated are followers of obama – so then why, have they allowed themselves to become weak and the most hateful political followers ever? Where are obama’s policies on change? What is he going to change? Where is it written that we can read about his changes? They don’t exist. Obama is a media creation, an empty suit without leadership qualities who will be the puppet to Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry-Heinz and Joe Biden. These three ran for president and LOST. Now they have found a weakling who can be manipulated into anything and decided he will be president. Next there is the DNC which has clearly been divided by Howard Dean and Nancy Peolsi who are panting to have obama in office – again, it is their intent to manipulate. Up go the taxes so the taxpayers can pay more to the welfare recipients, more free day care, more food stamps, more taking away from the seniors of this country. Obmams is so tied to these people that he won’t think without them. Never mind that he has radical ties with anti-Americans – these three don’t care. What they are looking for is someone who can preach you into giving more of your money. When the economics of this country get so bad that they cannot be reversed, they will dump on the working people in this country and ding you once again.
If Hillary isn’t nominated, then John McCain will become president, which is just fine. As long as it will not be obama. There is news coming out from O’Reilly that he is going to have more on the Ayers/obama relationship this week and how far into Chicago type politics obama is and how much responsibility and how much money was used by the Chicago political machine, and what role Ayers has played in the obama campaign. I hope O’Reilly blows obama right out of the water with this.

The only people that are asking for Clinton to “go away” are Obama supporters. You people seem a little nervous to me that he has not been able to close the deal. His popularity has dwindled since people started finding out a little about him (other than his small resume and his being an extremly far left liberal)and Clinton’s popularity is rising. She will win the popular vote.

Hillary, we support you all the way- tune out what all the Obamaites and media types are saying – they want to push you out of the race but we know you are simply the best for the job.
Obama will be trounced in November – I won’t vote for him if he is the last person standing. The 2-party system is arcane and doesn’t reflect the 21st century. The Democratic Party represents Obama’s base – blacks, the affluent and aging liberals. The country is center-right. What I have seen of Obama, his campaign and his surrogates have convinced me that he will be a terrible choice. The message of hope and unity is just advertisement – Obama doesn’t believe in it – he is using the liberals and anti-women sentiments to get himself elected. He has no moral standards (despite his demeanor) other than to advance his and his wife’s agenda.

Just looked at a poll that says 64% of dems want both to stay in the race. It does start to look like a Republican year to me. I do think the democrats are really divided. I don’t think race played such a big part of this until all of the background information came out on Obama. I’m not so sure that it isn’t more about the worry of keeping the far left under wraps for a lot of us. It’s unlikely that Obama could do that. I don’t think that their stance or focus is what is best for our country right now.

I am freaking tired of the Hillary people and the Fla and Michigan votes…..Hillary voted not to campaign there, she voted for the same thing that Obama, Edwards all voted for….She didn’t care about Michigan and Florida until she got her ass handed to her in 12 straight states.
I am sorry but I use to have a lot of respect for the Clintons, I have very little now….I voted for Bill Clinton
I don’t want Hillary on Obama’s ticket and NO Hillary has ZERO chance at winning the nomination. None. Get over it.
You are not going to catch Obama in any of the numbers…. You can’t count the numbers in Florida because they weren’t allowed to campaign there and sorry to tell you but many didn’t vote because they were told they wouldn’t count. Obama would have lost Florida I admit that, but it would have been closer than the numbers that happened.
And there is NO way you can count Michigan, Obama wasn’t even on the ballot and based on all the states around Michigan, that state would have been close….if they both campaigned there.
Michigan and Florida will have their delegates seated…but the votes will not count nor should they.
Obama will win Oregon, South Dakota and Montana.
He has a lot of endorsements from the supers…. he was told to release them a few at a time…Hillary has been told the same thing

Popular vote as of May 10, 2008
These figures INCLUDE Florida and Michigan, as they were fairly and legitimately earned by Senator Hillary Clinton, and have been validated by the respective Secretary’s of State.
Obama 16,506,455
Clinton 16,418,979
Total Diff. +87,476 (Obama)
Pct. Diff. +0.26% (Obama)
So, why SHOULD Hillary quit NOW?
Who do you think will be leading after Tuesday?
Hint – See below:
Combined population of Oregon, Montana and South Dakota = 5,173,438
Combined population of West Virginia, Kentucky and Puerto Rico = 9,894,803

Each candidate has about 50% of the democratic vote. Let the primaries continue and quit attacking the two main candidates and their supporters. Real democrats are going to vote for the winner no matter who it is because the real issues are so important this time. You are against the war, but you are going to vote for republicans? You think the economy is terrible, so you are going to vote republican? You don’t like the kind of Supreme Court judges that have been appointed by Bush, so you are going to vote republican? It is not democrats who are saying they will vote republicans if their candidate does not win. They are republicans trying to get democrats upset with each other. Calm down and take the high road for a change!

And, IF Obama manages to win the general election WITHOUT half of the democratic party, you will all be ready to throw him out after 4 years if not before.—-I don’t believe that he can accomplish a thing other than to divide.

Which Democratic candidate is more electable?
Consider this:
This is how the Electoral College stands as of April 23, 2008, showing strengths of Clinton vs. Obama, based on their results. For those who have not understood, this is not a head-to-head matchup, but rather a side-by-side comparison.
This assumes a winner-take-all primary/caucus vote takes all Electoral votes for each state. The totals immediately below are WITHOUT any consideration of the states of Florida and Michigan.
Clinton 261
Obama 181
But with Florida and Michigan:
Clinton 305
Obama 181
Assuming the following victories, based on current polls, with Clinton winning Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Obama winning North Carolina, South Dakota, Oregon (which is doubtful), and Montana, the totals would then be, still without Florida and Michigan:
Clinton 285
Obama 209
Even with a victory for Obama in Indiana, the totals would be, still without Florida and Michigan:
Clinton 274
Obama 220
Please note that it takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the General Election.
Whether or not the vote turns out as indicated, I firmly believe the above analysis more than amply demonstrates which of the Democratic candidates is in a better position to be the stronger candidate in the General Election.

How many people under 60 support Hillary? And don’t confuse the issue and blur in ‘THe Greatest GEneration’ with the ‘Me Generation’–it’s two very different sets of people.
The generation from from WWII gave and sacrificed. Hillary’s generation takes and gives nothing back–a generalization, yes, but mainly true.
My family is immigrants–distinctly different. And they agree at the cause of trouble. The Me Generation is still fighting the Vietnam War.
It’s time to sweep the Me Generation out of power–once they are gone, things will be a LOT better.

Hillary’s reference to LBJ, Bill’s comparison between Obama and JJackson, and now the bit about blue-collar working whites without college degrees ISN’T racism. IT’S CALLED THE TRUTH. The Obama-types can’t handle the truth because they’re incapable of grasping it. The truth is never negative, racist or bigoted. The more Obama is questioned, the more questionable he becomes. He is a phony and a liar. He lacks character and shown a incredible inability to make sound judgments and decisive ones at that. He has been propped up to give a false identity of substance and experience. The recent migration of the feeble so-called super-delegates from Hillary to Obama merely points out the idiocy of these insubstantive individuals. She is better off without these tokens. Let them gravel at the feet of Obama, where they belong. They deserve each other.

If Hillary wins the popular vote but loses the nomination, then DEMOCRATS HAVE JUST DONE WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN GRIPING BUSH DID.
This will self-destruct the party, essentially tear it in half.
I hope Hillary runs as an independent!

The only reason Obama is going to Florida and Michigan is that he is scared. He knows the delegates from these states will be seated and will go to Clinton. The decision to do this will be done on May 31st. Clinton will win W VA and Kent BIG. As was already stated, she is beating him 65% to 25% along the Mason-Dixon line. There has not been one candidate to win the Presidency without winning the Mason-Dixon line. I see Clinton winning big and the SuperD’s changing their minds and going to Clinton. She has already won the electoral vote. Yep, you’re right, the train is leaving…..The Clinton Express…..all the way to the White House….oh, btw, tell Obama we have room for him in the caboose…he’s used to bringing up the rear! LOL!

I am a Hillary supporter–a woman, over 50, and don’t even think for a second, DNC, that some BS from Obama, can rehab me into voting for him. I will not be moved. I will not be pushed into becoming a part of his slick, sexist, ageist, racist voting block. I think all the Obama team big wigs and the media don’t understand how this goes for women like me…Hillary on the ticket or I vote for McCain. I am not interested in the party I am interested in doing what is right for this country. Obama is scary.

The only reason Clinton wants Florida and Michigan to count is because Obama didnt campaign there and She knows the results, do you really think she would want them to count if they went to Obama? Before the Primaries they agreed not to campaign in those states

Like O’bama himself, his fans cannot take the heat. I will not vote for him but McCain is going to blister your man’s rear end come this November. Republican operatives will do a much better job than I could begin to do inexposing O’bama’s as a Black Nationalist and proponent of Black Power. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Beneath all the satisfaction of a gratifying slogan, Black Power is a nihilistic philosophy born out of the conviction that the Negro can’t win. It was born from the wounds of despair and disappointment . . . In the final analysis, the weakness of Black power is its failure to see that the Black man needs the White man and the White man needs the Black man.”

Obama better watch his back !!
Clinton is staying in the race because she might have an ace or bullet up her sleeve. She can only win if she manages to ruin Obama’s reputation. Much like Rev Wrong almost did.
People… lets keep Clinton’s and Bushes out of the white house from now on. 24 years of Clintons and Bushes are quit enough thank you.

MikeMo1947 – I agree with the double standard that surrounds Obama’s church. White people, no matter the nationality, can celebrate their heritage and pride but when black people do it, it is bigoted? There’s alot of white guilt going on around here. I could care less if the president worships Satan because i am not looking to the president for moral leadership. Just as long as gas prices go down, we get out of the war and our economy rebounds, my president can do whatever he/she wants. LORD KNOWS BILL CLINTON DID!

I have volunteered for Hillary’s campaign and talked to a lot of African Americans. Many have opened up to me and confessed that they think that she would make a better president but they feel that they need to support the first African-American. They would be happy to vote for Hillary in November if she gets the nomination. The situation on the Hillary side is different. Many of her supporters have been with her for many years and they are not yielding an inch to Obama. Obama has gotten his narrow edge mainly from the internet bloggers that believe what the media says. That is not a strong base at all…

Who are we judge any one one of these candiates? For the life of me, I can’t understand how Obama could possibly be a racist when his mother was white. If just does not make sense.
Again we’ve allow the media to dictate our beliefs with what they believe to be the truth.

jack -I don’t think so, buddy. Scoreboard. Obama leads in states, votes, delegates, superdelegates. She will win KY and WV but he will win OR, MT and SD. She doesn’t have the math to win. I know that grasping the reality of the situation may be hard for you but if she had this super secret weapon, she would have used it when it mattered. There is going to be no defection of superdelegates. It’s time to stop drinking the Kool aid.

ramona35285 – I would vote for the best person for the needs of the country, no matter what political party, race or religion. Your statements are lies because it takes a small piece of information and distorts the truth. I have listened to sermons at that church on the Internet and read postings of their teachings. I agree you can take pieces of what they say and make it into something bigger than it is. Did you study all the support they give to their community and elsewhere. I disagree strongly with some of the statements Wright made, but that doesn’t make all the members of that church and their missions are evil. You see things as only black and white when most issues are shades of gray. Learn to analyze instead of sticking things in only two boxes – good and evil.
Posted by: MikeMo1947 | May 13, 2008, 1:44 pm 1:44 pm
jack….So you’re okay with those two states BREAKING THE RULES? The people of Florida and Michigan only have their OWN DNC chapter to blame for their votes not counting. They knew the consequences and now they’re being punished for it. They don’t get to vote twice. It’s too bad for them, but again, the blame lies within their own state. You do the crime, you do the time. Or in this case, you DON’T get your voted counted.

I care not who wins this primary. That said, I see a strategy here that is somewhat clever. Bill and Hillary are going to fight through until June 3 – maybe. If they can’t win the primary – as you get them both – they want to make sure that Obama can’t win the White House. In this way, she will get another shot in 2012. Were Obama to win the white house, she would not get another shot until 2016. And of course, she is still hoping for a shot in 2008, but it is a slim shot at best. I don’t know the Clintons are anyone close to them, so I could be very wrong – often am. But from what I’ve read, this is what I believe their strategy to be.

This is ridiculous! It is appalling the level of ignorance that shows up in these blogs. And to know that it revolves around something as big and even life changing as an American election makes it down right shamefull! I see references to the people of West VA and Kentucky that make it seem like some of you don’t even consider them Americans, like they don’t count or something. Come on, people! Has it ever occurred to anyone that this isn’t about Obama and Clinton; it is about the American people!!! Losing site of that little fact is what put Bush in office and got us into this mess in the first place! It is never about “the President” or those running for the position; it is about American’s and how the world views Americans. Now I am not a Hillary supporter; she had my vote to lose and she lost it. But give that woman her say in this election. Will she lose the nomination? Probably, but let her lose it outright. That way you know the people will have had their say and she will maintain her base moving forward because if you open your minds for just a minute, you’ll see that even though she MAY not be the best for the white house, she is definitely an asset to the party. (More)

Just what are you drinking ABC, I hope it’s not koolaid…your reporting is so pro Obama that you’re as patronizing as the man who see’s himself above politicians! I don’t know what you’re drinking but I hope it’s not koolaid…Considering the mainstream media has done nothing but do their best to give Hillary a bad time through out the campaign, the lady is doing good! Especially as Dean has let his personal fight and petty feelings of the Clinton’s affect his judgement…smacks of total unprofessionalism to me!
Everyone knows that Hillary will win most, if not all, of the remaining states, she will call for FL & MI to be acknowledged and make a clear case of being the most electable, with the ability to win and become the next President! So come on Super delegates, ignore the negative bias of the press and DNC, Obama has too many corrupt connections and cannot be trusted! Further more, the Repulicans with use all the skeletons in his closet to prove their case, making good press, but very bad for the country. Vote for HILLARY, the only candidate to beat the Republicans! You know it makes sense!
!!!HILLARY THE “COME BACK KID” ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

ramona35285 – let’s clear this up right away – I don’t attend church. Haven’t since I was forced to read the bible cover to cover, and had to summarize each and every book in writing. People pick and choose from it what they want to follow, and just about anybody can find something in it to both support and refute whatever it is they’re attempting to justify, just as you’re doing.
Still no answer about the small businesses Hillary has ALREADY stiffed?

Are you really a Clinton supporter states:And I love how the media keeps saying Obama cant win the working class white vote. And they may be right, lets face it the poor uneducated working class white voters aren’t really known to vote based on there best interest. I mean they gave us two terms of Bush. And the whole entire world can see how well that is turning out. So there judgment is suspect.
Yeah, this sounds like you support a candidate who wants to “unify” America! I’ve heard these comments from MANY Obamabots. America was built on these hard working, blue collar people…they are the CORE of our democracy! I can’t beleive you can even say that about a fellow American…oops, I forgot, you support Obama, so, it stands to reason!

Just because they can steal this election doen’t mean they can run the country look at Bush I must say between the Republicans working with Obamaand Dean he couldn’t fail If I wanted a Republican for a president I would vote for one this unity thing is republican Dem party coming together on one ticket Bloomberg has been in every party and is now an independent buying an office he or any other loser behind Obama can’t win.Kennedy,Kerry, etc

We need a change and this democratic primary is proof enough. If Obama can’t win white america; for the obvious unspoken reasons; then the republicans and white american democrates will get what they deserve in 09. Much higher gas prices, more forclosures, and higher crime rates. It will be harder to get to work. Can’t drive because you can’t afford gas. Can’t walk because one foot is in your mouth. You should give a real consideration to change.

Demo Rules, The DNC is completely out of touch. Their whole primary process is flawed and causes them to lose presidential elections. Obama has taken advantage of this flaws to get the nomination. It is funny how all of these out of touch Democrat politicians are backing Obama, who says he is running to change Washington. I Suppose that they want him to expose them for their flaws. But I doubt it. He is in debt to them all and won’t change a damn thing. His call for change is the biggest lie of this campaign.

Hillary should fight all the way to the convention, why shouldn’t she: The nomination is at the convention, she should stay for the convention. Democracy means standing up for what you believe and not being afraid to loose.
Obama can’t win; the bulk of his delegates came before people knew anything about him, which makes this the mess of US media and their poor job performance. Unfortunately, in a tight race, those kinds of mistakes are destructive for the population who has to live with the consequences of media blind spots. Only leadership from Superdelegates can correct situation, and come convention day, delegates will have arguments to take charge and save the day. They should!

RAMONA35285! Keep writing! I read the website when they had not taken the anti-American writings off and made a copy. The problem is that the youth whose noses are still running HAVE NOT looked at the website, HAVE NOT read Obama’s books (which are RACIST), they HAVE NOT gone and researched everything there is to read about his mentor WRIGHT or Obama and only listen to his sermons. I know it because we have several of those summer students WHO KNOW NOTHING from NOTHING. God forbid, these are the uneducated ones that are supporting the messiah for president. They DO NOT KNOW what will come their way but are DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO DRAG ALL OF AMERICA INTO DESCTUCTION.

ramona35285 please tell me you can bring more to this than acting like you are king of the foosball table. I don’t even care if this is an “us against them” thing to you (even though you actually sound like you are off on your own island somewhere), at least speak with some substance! Take a stand that is realistic and you can justify for crying out loud! And the whole “Bible” thing doesn’t cut it. Not to put down religion (yours or anyone elses), but surely you know that religion can do no more than provide guidance to an American head of state. How else can you lead a nation of people whose religious beliefs run the gamut? There are inherent boundary’s that must be respected with respect to religion and when you over step them: Pow! Just look at Bush; he started and continues to support a war on the premise that God spoke to him and told him to. So please come with something a little stronger or I’ll just accept that you are in this blog to have some fun. Answering Yan’s question would be a good start.

I know you don’t see any woman on TV supporting Clinton but thier really are alot of us stongly behind her they are not telling you the real numbers. And of course the media hate for her has been unreal. Right now I feel like I owe the Democrat party nothing. It is funny how Obama Democrats forget how hard Hillary Clinton has fought Republicans all these years. And what both of the Clintons have done for the poor and middle classes in this country. But now they choose to throw them under the Obama bus because of his false promise of change and his race.He needs to go back to Chicago and help make it safe for those people to walk out of their homes at night.

Yan….your theory about slavery and Ramona is so lame. She is fighting for what she believes in you should give her credit for that. Just like Hillary fighting for the American people until the end. I for one cannot vote for someone who listened to Black Liberation Theology for 20 years. It is not about Wright’s anti-american remarks but it is about their main doctrine of Black Liberation Theology. If you listen to this kind of preachings for 20 years one way or another your judgment against white people will be clouded. – just look at Michelle Obama.

Yan, If some one smashes up your car with their’s and they don’t have insurance guess who pays for it. You do. And if someone needs medical care and they don’t have insurance guess who pays for it. Those people such as yourself who are lucky enough to have insurance. so in order for the cost of health insurance to go down everyone NEEDS to be covered. Get it.
Posted by: Tom NYC | May 13, 2008, 3:23 pm 3:23 pm
Yan – good for you that you have health insurance. Unlike millions of people here in America who don’t because they can’t afford it. I pay almost $200 in premium for myself. Universal health care will make the cost of health insurance go down because us the insured do not have to pay for the cost of treating for the uninsured people. I’m sure most if not all of the uninsured people would want to receive government subsidies to be able to pay for their own insurance. Who in their right mind would not want health insurance if they can pay for it? Peace of mind is priceless.

ramona – I doubt you read any of Cone’s books. You definitely did not understand them. To answer your question directly, I would not consider someone for president if they were a member of the White Aryan Brotherhood? That organization believes they are superior to other races. Black liberation was about liberation, not domination. How could you be so smart and not know the difference?

Ramona I here you. But honestly I prefer not to linger on the Rev. Wright thing. Racism in any form is despiciable
and pounding that issue to hard could make me seem as I were myself racist. I just mainly believe that Obama is giving a lot of gullible people a false sense of hope. If he was really for change than he wouldn’t have the support of so many lifelong politicians like Edward Kennedy

Obama is unelectable in the general election.

John, did you just call Obama a bigot? You must be from West Virginia. I think that lopsided victory smells like something else going on, don’t you think.

Obama cannot unify just a dozen of bloggers here, how can he unify the whole country?

ramona – Reading words and understanding is two different things. So do you not understand the difference between domination and liberation? Or you do understand, but used it anyway because you like twisting the truth when using it in an analogy?

Clinton already said she will stay in the Senate and help the next President, the Democratic one. Bill already said he was misunderstood in some of his Obama mis-statements, and that the man was running a strong campaign, and he may win. Terry McAuliffe and Al From ran the DNC into the ground by wanting to be like republicans, when they were winning elections, and they made national speeches touting the outsourcing of jobs, and how America needs to get ready for the death of the middleman, by going back to school for re-training. Computers would take you over and the consumers and owners would make out like bandits and the middleman(middle class), would be outsourced history. Terry McAuliffe is running Hillarys campaign, the gravest and confusing mistake, she could have ever thought of, unless, of course, she is a total bag toter of the lobbyist regime, which has come close to tanking the USA like a flushed toilet. CASE CLOSED…NEXT!!!!!

Yeah…Keep fighting Hillary. If she’s not the Democratic nominee then send the Democratic Party a little note of appreciation and vote for McCain in the general election. As a matter of fact, if Hillary isn’t the nominee, then vote a solid Republican ticket all the way through. These Washington insiders have to realize that WE THE PEOPLE rule, not they the powerbrokers.

Clinton and her campaign have pushed even democrats to have negative views of her. You don’t see Obama supporters running around saying they wouldn’t vote for Hillary b/c she’s a woman or is too educated, etc. But Clinton supporters show an ingrained racism and vitriolic hatred of Obama. And by the ways….Obama isn’t in W Virginia 1)it doesn’t matter and 2)he’d lose….not b/c he’s not a strong candidate mind you but b/c the same bunch of racist uneducated 90 year olds who voted for clinton in pennsylvania and ohio have relatives in w. virginia. No wonder those three states are in the economic tanks they are in.

As a Clinton supporter, and avid one at that, I have to begin to recognize that she may not win. In fact, it would take nearly a miracle for her to pull it out. At some point I have to get used to the idea that Obama may very well be the nominee. While this idea doesn’t please me, I have to remind myself that I was less than enthused last election with Kerry, but I still voted Democrat. It really comes down to supreme court justices and economic policies. It does suck when you feel very passionately about a candidate to have them lose, and while I still support Hillary, and am hoping for some amazing comeback, I don’t know that it’s likely. It’s going to be hard, but even if Obama is our nominee, we have a historical race in progress, and we shouldn’t allow ourselves to miss out on that.

Some of the intolerance here is pretty ridiculous. Are Democrats really rubbing things in each other’s faces? Is this really how low we have sunk? People can’t restrain themselves from a “hahaha” and an “in your face”? News flash…People are entitled to believe what they’d like and support whichever politician they choose. No one cares if we all have a difference of opinion. So why don’t we all grow up, and stop the name calling from all sides. Try having a bit of understanding. If you attack one candidate, then you have responses that are similar back, we never get anywhere. Calling any other Democrat pathetic IS the most pathetic thing I’ve seen for our party. Wake up, Grow up. If your candidate wants to unite the party, it starts first with his supporters.

I have to admire HC for her conviction. She’s really putting her money behind it. It can’t be any more real than that. Now that she has committed so much, I sure hope that she won’t give up even if she does not win the Dem nomination.

You are absolutely right! THe onus is on theBO supporters they have never been gracious … commentators have written to that effect… and if Hillary is not at least the VP then we will keep BO out of the White House he will not win on his own and you Obamabots will not change our minds we will make him lose for the sake of the country!

Why should Obama campaign in WV, he already gave it to Hillary, and we know that Obama won’t win WV because of the peoples that live there, they haven’t learn anything from the past, WV voted for Bush twice, you would think they have learned, but they vote away what is best for them to give the republicans their votes, and that maybe the reason of their decline, WV is one of the worst state to live in, with all them Rich mine owners screwing them everyday.

We support Senator Clinton splintering-off as an Independent candidate to compete in the fall for President!
She has the popular vote, electoral vote, core base, and momentum. Actions speak much louder than words – she has taken action and fought for America much harder than any other democrat.
Posted by: Lightning | May 14, 2008, 6:16 am 6:16 am
It will take 2 Clintons to fix 8 years of Bush, not a dreaming rookie.

I also support CLinton going Independant because Obama cannot win the GE .. however the goalposts have been moved and points removed from CLintons score unjustly… she now leads in the popular vote indesputably and the CLinton people will fight Obama all the way to the convention

Some people are delusional. Goal posts moved and points remove from Clinton? You are right she did move the goalpost about 4 times, points removed didn’t know they were scoring points?

Scared? You’ve got to be kidding me. This dude McAuliffe not only talks like a used car salesman. He was one. Really.
How constructive is this? Clinton has a very small chance of winning this Primary and she is willing to try to bring down Obama regardless to get it. As we saw when the Democrats promptly lost control of Congress for the first time in 40 years after Bill’s election, other democrats don’t do well around the Clintons.

Total amount of superdelegates since last tuesday for Obama: 30. Amount for Hillary: 3.
This win won’t change anything. The supers are firmly in Obama’s camp right now and Hillary needs 72% of ALL REMAINING DELEGATES (pledged and super) to beat Obama. It simply cannot and will not happen.
Posted by: John | May 14, 2008, 8:15 am 8:15 am
Hillary’s got the states need to win in the GE. Sen. Obama’s team thinks that even if they loose the swing states, they can win by changing the electoral map and winning states that are usually red. That’s an awful big chance isn’t it? The question is, are the remaining supers willing to take that risk in the GE. If the supers go with Sen. Obama, there is a stronger chance the Dems will loose. And if Sen. Obama can’t hold onto OH, MI, FL, PA, how can he win.

I think your ideas fit the values of a dictatorship or military regime, not of a democracy. It doesn’t fit the rhetoric of your candidate either.

I think something is wrong with the American society ,the way this whole elections is turning to be racially motivated.i don’t care who is OBAMA OR CLINTON but all that i know is OBAMA AND CLINTON are both AMERICANS,but the way people are portraying OBAMA as a second rate American is something that shows how racist America society is. obama’s mother is a white american and yet still people tend to ignore all this. it is sad to live in a society like this.we are in the twenty first century so people should grow up and stop all this prejudices because of one’s colour.
Posted by: ZOE | May 14, 2008, 10:34 am 10:34 am
i think in the interest of the DEM’S PARTY, those supporters of CLINTONS, who are making arguments on OBAMA’S electabilty based on his color is making the biggest mistakes at the expense of the DEM’S party.you people should grow up and be ashamed of yourself. i tell it is very crucial at this election for the dem’s to rally behind the DEM’S nominee or it all slip to the REPUBLICANS again.it is make or break the DEM’S and at the end of the day it is the whole party that loses. so it is time to stop this stupid saying that if OBAMA becomes a nominee CLINTONS supporters would rather vote for McCAIN.

I see many posts who are making the assumption that Obama has this thing all wrapped up. I caution all of those who under estimate Senator Clinton and her favor with the American Public. The race for the Democratic Nominee is not over. I;m not so sure Obama is the Uniter (what ever that means.
Obama has not won the race yet! There are still 5-more states. Don’t they have a right to vote too.

Don’t worry about beating McCain, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. I should know, because I’m a Republican and I don’t like McCain. There are a lot like me. Obama will win, despite what racists say. There are enough non-racists in the country, and there are more than enough people who don’t like the Republican candidate.

By the way, check out the issues and decide where you personally stand. If the candidate you like (Clinton or Obama) does not get the nomination, you WON’T vote for McCain (out of spite) unless you DON’T CARE about those issues. McCain is wrong on almost everything. Everyone please use your brains.

Hey, You Hillarious,Where were you when Obama was winning 11 States and troting them all over. You will remeber that Hillary decided to go on Holiday, pretending she is alredy a winner of this crucial Presidential Contest.
Now Obama is being shrewed with his, planing, tactics and decided to play up a bit, Why will anybody calls that any name on Earth. Why should Obama be afraid of West Virginia, knowing that he prefers to give the stae to Hillary albeit to win the contest as she decided to go aloof on 11 states without any serious campaign. So by your analogy, she, Hillary was afraid of those 11 states. Hey Guys or men talking like kids give me a Big ‘Billy’ Brake.
I see no reason while Obama can not pick and choose and gainfully wins this Crucial Election opf Presidential Nomination wherever he feels safe and wanted. If W. Virginia is not all that is important while will you want him to waste his time and energy there for.
Go on Obama, it is you the Americans wanted minus West Virginia.
